Hey guys!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. I decided to take the weekend to ACTUALLY rest this time. I cooked a bunch…made some healthy chicken pho (I used shredded cabbage and sauteed onions instead of vermicelli noodles so that it would still work within my 28 Day Reset meal plan), I made chili, and also curried chicken salad! It felt sooooo good to just listen to podcasts and cook. Been getting my PIIT28 on daily, feeling strong, and feeling very refreshed and relaxed.

The only thing that has been bothering me lately are my dreams. I have no idea why but I’ve been having nightmares every night and then I wake up at 4am consistently. They are very dark dreams too – I’m usually fighting for my life or trying to escape from predators or something. It’s odd too because I would say I’ve been more relaxed than usual and I have been getting more sleep than usual. I don’t feel stressed at work at all…so it’s peculiar. Anyone have an inkling as to why this may be happening?

Did you have a lovely holiday weekend? I hope you spent a lot of time with your family and ate lots of delish food! I was prepping for Thanksgiving all week. I worked out every single day last week, including the day of Thanksgiving and the day after! People who work out on Black Friday are the DEDICATED they say. I know a bunch of you guys did too, so I am VERY proud of you!

Here’s what I wore to Thanksgiving dinner! I’m wearing a Forever 21 dress, a Karen Millen Pea Coat, and Steve Madden boots – my latest obsession.

I also went crazy hard shopping this weekend. Mostly online though! I do not like crowds and long lines, so I internetted it up :) I saw you guys did too because blogilatesdesigns.com nearly broke when Black Friday came around! SOOOO MANY THINGS went out of stock! I am so happy because it was cool to see you guys get the deep discounts and score things you’ve wanted all year at ridic low prices. It always feels SO GOOD when I save money. It feels like a touchdown or something. LOL. I don’t even play flag football but I would imagine it would feel like that! ;P

Hey guys!

HAPPY MONDAY!!!! Here is your new 3 min Turbo Pilates BUTT WORKOUT!!

This week, I want you to focus on a non-weight related fitness goal. And a very specific one too. I want you to commit yourself to a goal like:

“I will work out for 30 min at least 3 times this week.”

or

“I will eat vegetables with EVERY meal this week.”

or

“I will do at least 1 Blogilates video, even if it’s the short 3 min one, every day this week.”

The reason why I want you to DEFOCUS yourself from saying “I want to lose 2 lbs this week” is because I don’t want you to get so hung over the most stressful part of the fitness journey. Losing weight is not fun. And some weeks you will be doing everything right and the scale will not budge. In fact, it may go up! That’s frustrating. I want you to know that the work you put in counts, and it counts as long as you’re not cheating and you’re sticking to a plan. (more…)

Hey guys!

Look at that sassiness above! Just spent the weekend with my Dallas POP Army and MAN am I excited for this team! Every single instructor in training was super excited, super positive, and each blew me away with her genuine personality. I feel so lucky that the people making up the POP instructor team are so kind because it is SO IMPORTANT that at this beginning stage, we set the right culture. I don’t want to grow POP Pilates crazy fast if that means sacrificing the quality of my instructors. Every experience that a student has taking a POP class should be memorable and FUN. If it’s not that, then we have a problem.

I still can’t believe sometimes that POP Pilates is ACTUALLY a format at 24 Hour Fitness. I am going to do everything I can to make sure that this format isn’t just a trend. I want it to last a long time…and do what Blogilates did for people online. I want a community to be built. I want friendships to be made. I want bodies to be strengthened. I want minds to be inspired. I really do believe we can do this. It’s just such a new space that I am exploring. And there’s so much I feel like I don’t know yet! But I will try to blog more about my experience running a format and certification program. There is a lot to learn.

I’m currently choreographing the new POP 3 release for our instructors. I’m beginning to add some Pilates cardio into it. Haha. I feel kinda bad but not really. Wait til you guys go take the class. The routines I will be releasing at RIDIC.

It is time for your new 5 Minute Beautiful Booty workout! I can’t believe I paired the Kneeling Hot Potato with the Kneeling Hammy Kick. It was literal death. This is my fave butt workout since the 6 min to a Sexy Booty routine. I hope you enjoy it :D

Last week honestly was one of the hardest weeks of my life. Maybe THE hardest week of my life. I was under so much stress, a lot of people were expecting many different things from me so I was working late til 4am for 5 nights straight. I know it’s not healthy, and I didn’t want to, but I had to to get things done. In fact, I didn’t even know I was under so much stress until my sister called me and asked me how I was doing. When I tried to explain to her how I was doing, tears just started rolling down my face uncontrollably. It was so weird. It was like she pushed a button and the dam that was holding back my tears was released and there I was sitting in a puddle of my own stress.

Hey guys!

I just got back from Punta Cana after a week long vacation. I hope you were following along on snapchat (blogilates) for all the juicy goods! Mermaid pools, mini donuts, fire dancers, and beaches galore! It was so much fun! Though the weeklong vacation was relaxing, I’m extremely tired right now because last night my bed was an airport bench. The first U.S. Airways flight got delayed and that brought on a whole slew of problems. It was frustrating because no one seemed to want to help all the stranded passengers. But you know what? I took a nice long shower once I made it home after 27 hours of travel and I am feeling much better!

Before we get into the vacay recap (I’ll share cool pics and stories tomorrow), here’s your new Monday video on the #FABruary Workout Calendar! Crazy Abs, Butt, and Legs! And girl…it is CURAZAY alright!

The first segment focuses on your lower abs and quads with leg outs. Be sure to pull your knees up and in to your lower abs for the most effective movement. Keep your knees and toes together. If your lower back or hip flexors hurt, you can place your forearms on the mat behind you and lay your lower back on the mat too. Keep your mid to upper back off the ground, chest lifted. (The same position we are in for corkscrew.)

The second portion is just madness. The first time I have ever tried this combo was in this video. Umm. I don’t know if you can tell, BUT I AM DYINGGGGGG!!!! Having triangle butts paired with mini circles is certain death for your thighs and glutes. If at any point you feel like you cannot keep going (and that is totally ok) then lay down on your side and complete the moves.

Try your best guys! This video is not easy. But I made it for you because I know you can handle it. You’re getting stronger every day.

Today I’m releasing your new 30 Day Challenge. This time we are focusing on your BOOTY (by popular demand!) It’s an easy way to get some extra movement into your day and it’s super effective, and dare I say…FUN!!??

Here are the moves you will be doing on the #30daybuttlift. Please use this hashtag whenever you post about your workouts! Oh and I wanna see your selfie with the printed calendar!

1. SQUATS

Keep your feet hip-width apart and squat down like you’re about to sit down in a chair. Push into the floor with your heels and keep your chest lifted, back tall.

2. POINTED BUTT LIFT

On all fours, lift your right leg into the air at a 90 degree angle, straight up behind you. Keep your toes pointed and pulse up! Also keep your eyes looking forward. Do both legs.

3. FIRE HYDRANTS

On all fours, lift your left outer thigh up to the ceiling while keeping your leg at a 90 degree angle. Do both legs.

4. HEEL KICKS

Bring your forearms down to the floor and kneel. Then straighten your right leg and flex your foot. Kick your heel up into the air while keeping your leg super straight. Keep your hips aligned (facing the floor) and don’t open up. This is how you will effectively get your lifted booty! Do both legs.

5. BRIDGES

Lie down on your back. Relax your arms and place your feet hip-width apart. Then raise your pelvis up to the ceiling and then touch your butt back down to the floor.
