This is a true story. My mom really did run away into her bedroom crying when I took Sam home for the first time. And yes, I left Sam with MY DAD for over an hour...they had NEVER spoken before. And YOU KNOW how intense my dad is.
My mom never really explained it to me why she did what she did, and I was super upset when it happened, but now that I am older...I think I understand. This comic is me wishing I knew how to interpret her emotions back then. It took many years before Sam would finally be "accepted" into the Ho family. Let's just say...Sam has been through...A LOT. #blogicomics
