I wanted to add a new skort silhouette for those of you who aren’t into the twirly vibes - wanted to go more fitted, more sporty - but of course, you’ll never lose that romantic touch with me 😘

This time I’m playing around with quite a few new elements as I mesh together the contrasting feminine and masculine design aesthetics into one skort.

I am 5’5” wearing size S in the ✨Bungee Superskort✨ which comes in XXS-3X and is avail on @popflex_active in 4 colors! If you’re looking for more coverage, it also comes in a sklegging version!

I’m going to be honest with you. My mental health isn’t so healthy right now.

A lot of things piled up yesterday and I broke. In the late afternoon, I became a hot-faced crying wreck after receiving a message from someone I’d been waiting to hear back from for weeks. They responded in a way that not only ignored their participation in the problem, they took no responsibility, and then they also went on to shift the blame onto me. My heart is racing right now just thinking about it.

I want to be clear that I’m never going to stop fighting against dupe culture. I’ll keep fighting until there’s policy change. However, at the same time I need to find a way to mentally and emotionally separate myself from the pain of getting my designs stolen, and right now I just don’t have the tools to be able to do that. Yet. But I’m working on it. I’ll need to figure it out soon because I won’t ever stop designing and innovating for you.

Also, thank you so much for your support on my last post. ❤️ Your words made me feel so less alone. And thank you to those of you who DM’d me trying to help me get in touch with the teams at TikTok and Amazon - you guys are heroes.

Dupe culture = counterfeit culture. There, I said it. No one wants to hear it but it’s true, and it’s getting absolutely out of control.

I’m sharing with you what is happening to me right now because I am terrified of the future of dupe culture, especially with its popularity being propelled by the use of AI.

My Pirouette Skort was first stolen by SHEIN, twice, and then duped numerous times all over Amazon. I eventually was awarded a design patent for my skort in hopes of having some protection. Well, it’s only gotten astronomically worse after Taylor Swift wore it a couple weeks ago. Grateful forever 🤍, however, the extra exposure opened the floodgates for the counterfeiters to hijack the opportunity. There are dupers coming out from every corner of the internet and I am getting so exhausted trying to whack-a-mole each one. It’s a lawless place in the world of fashion and no one’s paying attention to these crimes except for me and my small team, who are often notified by you guys in the DMs. Thank you for watching out for me as this becomes a bigger and bigger problem.

Did you see the video of the Gen Z-er saying she “discovered” tank layering or something to that effect? I was like omg are we already here!? IT IS TOO SOON. TOOOO SOOOOONNNNNN!!!

Anyway, the layering I’ll be doing this year is gonna look a lot diff than what we did in the 00s! This time around we’re going for a sleek, elegant, versatile and for funzies…✨REVERSIBLE✨vibe.

The past few days have been a dream ☁️ I cannot even begin to explain how magical all of this has felt…and I am not talking about the sales or the press mentions, but the genuine FEELING of community and support.

I remember when my Pirouette Skort design first got stolen by SHEIN and I wrote about it, there was so much negative chatter. People saying that I need to shut up, that there was nothing special about my design and that they could draw it in their sleep.

About a year later, I get issued my first patent ever…ON MY BIRTHDAY of all days (Jan 16) and I release a video with Karma (Taylor’s version not Jojo’s lol) as the backdrop of the vid. I end the vid by stabbing a blank space cake with SHEIN written on top. If you want to see it, @popflex_active just posted it recently!

To have @taylorswift’s support and your support throughout all of the duping means the world to me. Karma is karma-ing and it feels really good.

Anyway, today I just received one of the most thoughtful gifts ever from @thehustlingmama and @brendas_sweet_treats and I cannot tell you the range of emotions I experienced as I unwrapped each cookie. From being mesmerized at how beautiful they were to crying when I read the “lilac short skirt” lyric to then laughing/dying at the one of me in the hair bowl bc of how unattractive that pic was, but like also eew 100% accurate 💀 I am full of chaotic joy.
