If you don’t like where you are, then change it.

If you don’t like where you are, then change it.

Hey POPsters!

Happy Sunday! Are you having an amazing day? I hope so , and if not…well let’s make certain that you do what you can to change that! Today’s inspirational quote is “If you don’t like where you are, then change it. You are not a tree.” 🙂

Whether it’s something physical like moving somewhere new or just changing  the way you’re doing something because it’s not yielding the results you want, you have the choice to change your environment to grow better and stronger! You’re not stuck. Use your legs, use your head, and use your heart to find where you need to be.

I drew this this morning when I woke up. I suddenly had an urge to be creative. When this happens, I grasp it and just go with the flow. Do you like it? And nothing against trees guys, just sayin!

Also, I wanted to share my super simple and ultra yummy breakfast this morning. I had 1 chicken apple sausage, some spinach with sugar plum tomatoes sauteed in coconut oil, and 1 egg slightly yolky. No extra salt or seasoning used on any of this. Okay, wait, I lie, I had some sriracha 🙂 But I wanted to show you that eating clean isn’t just about eating bland food. Real food tastes amazing! Seriously. Also, this sausage link has only 120 calories, 6g fat, 7g carbs, and 11g protein! As far as the ingredient list? Simple: skinless chicken meat, maple syrup, cane juice dried apples, salt, lemon juice, spices. You can get this at Trader Joes. It’s $3.99 for 5 links!

Okie dokie. Off to go to the gym and then checking out some costume ideas. What or who are you gonna be for Halloween? Do you have any ideas for what I should be?

Love you and see you soon for you Monday workout! It will include using your POP Pilates Power Ring! If you don’t have one, try subbing a small ball or balloon.

Here is the playlist for your workouts for today and tomorrow. Let me know what your fave videos of the day are there!

<3 Cassey

  1. Great quote! I featured it on my blog’s Weekend Wrap-Up — I’m always looking for little blips of inspiration to share with my readers, and I love this one. Thanks for always having such great content, and I hope you’re having a nice weekend!

Here’s the link to the wrap-up, in case you’re interested:

Hey guys I am quite frustrated with myself and kinda need your help . I keep having binges and after giving in to it , I feel so disgusted with myself . I hate it because I can’t control it , I keep craving carbs , though I eat whole grain products but I ate a little more . Is it ok to have these binges once in a while ? Other than that , I eat lots of fruits , I eat fruits whenever I’m hungry and it makes me feel like I’m eating too much as well . Another thing is my I lose weight very slowly and it fluctuates , I really don’t know what to do …. I wish I could stop eating so much , whenever I eat something I feel guilty .

ok rule number 1. It’s ok to eat the bad stuff! just don’t eat it all the time! or have a small portion. you never want to cut things out of your diet totally – especially if you love them! what good is life then? have you read cassie’s post on soul food – check it out if you haven’t this will help. I try to eat portioned/healthy all the time (try), and I was never one for YOLO days, but as of late, I’m so busy/day tripping that I have to sometimes – so I’m not starving…but when you can control your eating – control it – you’ll feel less guilty eating the ‘bad stuff’ when you do. For example, I live in Canada and this coming weekend is Thanksgiving – I am being consciously adamant that I eat well this week because I know I’ll get to have a large tasty meal at the end of it. maybe it will help you if you did plan your yolo days…something to look forward to…also remember to enjoy the atmosphere, company whatever it is you’re around when you get to ‘experience’ the awesome food. Or if you just want chocolate cake per se, and you’re at home and people are annoying you and not adding to your enjoyment – take it somewhere quiet and alone and enjoy what you’re eating…if you’re not tasting it then you feel like it’s wasted.
next, be cautious of how much fruit you have…yes it is better than say, pie or the like, but what is your veggie intake….take a look at your nutritional guidelines and see how many you should be ingesting (they’re general guidelines) if it’s 5 for example, try to get maybe 3 veggies and 2 fruit…and watch portions. If you’re not sure what a real portion size is be sure to check that out too (for fruits and veggies its generally 1/2 cup, or 1 for leafy greens more or less) a lot of people really aren’t aware of portion size.
And lastly! If all of this sooouuunnds alright, but you still have craving issues or what not, it could be an underlying health issue. Quite possibly nothing serious, but maybe get checked out by your doctor. Also be aware of why your putting ‘unwanted or unwelcome’ food in your mouth. Are you bored, are you filling a void, are you actually hungry…what is it. Pay close attention. and again – if you’re eating carbs like bread – that’s ok! just be aware of what you’ve had that day (food journal?)…and aalllwaayys know you can eat whatever you want tomorrow (even today), sometimes you just CHOOSE not to. And then the once in a while when you do, no harm done, you deserve it.
      I hope this is helpful.
      Take care and good luck.
ps – a while back i think i mentioned this on a post..but think of BAM! Bite. Accept. Move on. you can’t really deal with what you’ve already put in you really, so be smart about what goes in next. and don’t beat yourself up, it does more harm than good 🙂

    Hello Cassey!

Thanks for the nice post 🙂
I wish I could have changed my day on Sunday xD but unfortunatly fever kept me in bed or on the couch even though I wanted to see my boyfriend. I planned to see him today, but he fell ill yesterday. He is pretty fine again today but I’m not. My cold tries to kill me, I guess. Sitting in class is no fun…
Now I have to wait till Saturday to see him cause my cold won’t by gone by tomorrow and on Thursday he got evening school and on Friday I meet a friend and then have college in the evening 🙁 I’m very sad and I miss him. But I don’t want to infect him.

This short story leads to a QUESTION (!!): Do you have any advices how I can strengthen my immune system??!!
It’s the 5th time now that I fell ill in this year….
Thanks very much if you know any advice or if anybody knows one!!!!

btw thanks for the nice photo of your supper. I got hungry seeing it. Even more remembering that mum is making chocolate confect in the kitchen and we can’t use it xD

Hey Cassey, I need a lot of help! I’m Thirteen and I weight 130.lbs even my mom has started saying that I’m fat! I hate the way I look but Whenever I start some type of weight loss plan I don’t finish it! I really like your page but I am not strong enough to do most of the workouts and I end up quitting! I don’t know what to do anymore

    1. Cassie says:

Hi Emily, I’m 14 and I know exactly how you feel, I USED to feel that way about myself too. But what I had to learn was to love and get to know my body for what it is for it to become anything else. Every teenage girl goes through the stage of thinking there fat, when really there not fat at all 🙂 blogilates has helped me loads I sucked at the videos when I first started!! I still arent very good either but I’ve improved and so will you if you keep going 🙂 <3 <3

Love this post <3 and it is perfect timing for me to see.
The autumn always seems to inspire big, positive changes. My husband and I just made a pact to be tougher together and get back into clean eating, meal planning so we don't slip up, and finding time to work out together.
Today I am exploring some free meal planning websites to see if tools will help 🙂
Hey Cassie, do you ever think about selling posters with photos and slogans for us? I would totally love a poster!

Amusingly the breakfast I just ate is very much like yours today.
sauteed garlic and tomatoes and spinach, then poured in 1 egg and 1 serving of egg white, scrambled it up and topped it with half a serving of italian cheese.
Yum! Spinach, tomato, and egg just go together!

  7. Laurence says:

Love the quote and i’m currently looking for a new appartment to move in, it totally fits with my current situation 🙂
For Halloween, my 3 girl friends and I are going to be superheroes, I choose Wonderwoman cause she’s powerful and beautiful, kinda my model!
Btw, your breakfast looks yummyyyyyy xo

  9. Casey says:

Love that quote and your representation of it! Really makes you think.

  10. Hannah says:

Are you going to make the blogilates app available for androind?

  11. So much truth in this few words. Sometimes it’s all about making decisions and changing your life, though this is one of the hardest things to do.

Your breakfast sounds awesome by the way. I am on the search for sausages with a few ingredients like this here in Germany!

  12. Tamar says:

What a gorgeous post to wake up to!! 🙂 Thanks Cassie

  13. Jenny says:

I totally would want a shirt with that quote on it! Somehow it motivates me more than anything else 🙂 And I love trees <3 Thanks for the awesome and super easy breakfast idea!!

  14. Meg says:

I love trees. I would like being a tree, though I guess I would have some difficulty deciding what kind of tree I’d like to be…

  15. I’m not doing anything for Halloween – I’ll be handing out chocolate candy (which I don’t like)

  16. Leslie H says:

Cassey I finished my Beginners Calendar today… I completed every single day, every single workout. Can I tell you a secret? I don’t think I *really* believed I could do it. I started it thinking… “here’s another thing to fail at, I wonder how long I will last this time” in the back of my mind. But somewhere along the way I started believing in myself…. and maybe it’s because you did? Every day, every time I wanted to quit, you kept saying “I believe in you” or “you can do it” and so I just… did.

Everytime I’ve tried a workout regimen before it’s been something I did on my own. So I was alone with my music and myself and my own negative self-talk that told me I would never have what it takes to be a “fit” person. That I was too weak, inherently lazy, not good enough. Doing blogilates with you instead, it’s like you completely hit the mute on that negative self-monologue. With your positivity and optimism there is NO ROOM for all that wretchedness.

Thank you, thank you, thank you… you make such a difference.

    1. Simona says:

Hi, Leslie! I had to reply to you, because I loved your words. I was just like you in the beginning and now I’m on Abtoberfest and I really like it! Be sure you can do it! And, DON’T QUIT! When I felt that I can’t do it I stopped for a sec, and I went back. I know you’ll do it! Good luck!

  17. Rachel says:
