How to make Vegan Ice Cream aka “Nice Cream!”

How to make Vegan Ice Cream aka “Nice Cream!”

Hey guys!

HAPPY MONDAY!!! It’s time to start a brand new week and guess what…it’s Thanksgiving week too! What!? How the heck are we at the end of November? I don’t even understand!

What I also don’t understand is how it’s the holidays and I am wearing this white romper and sandals at 10pm outside!

That’s LA for ya! And I love it. As you know I get so cold easily, so this is the PERFECT place for me to live. Here I am at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills posing off a lamp post. Didn’t do any shopping though – just pics 🙂

What will you guys be doing for Thanksgiving? Are you heading back home? Will you be driving or flying? This year I am in charge of making the pumpkin pie, so let’s see what I come up with. And speaking of Thanksgiving…how can we not talk about BLACK FRIDAY!!???

Like….a REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY BIG SALE. Things are gonna be so low priced, you’re gonna flip! I’m only sending out the Black Friday ad early to people who are signed up for the POPFLEX Active newsletter, so CLICK HERE and sign up to get it.

Seriously…like. OMG low. By the way, I think I’ll be doing most if not all of my holiday shopping online. It is so much easier and I don’t have to drive, find parking, or wait in line! How about you?

ANYWAY! Time to learn how to make some beautiful nice cream recipes! Nice cream is basically vegan, dairy free ice cream! Look at how beautiful and colorful they are!

We’ll be making 3 recipes: Pumpkin Pie, Matcha Pistachio, and Dragon Fruit.

Ready? Let’s get started!

PUMPKIN PIE NICE CREAM

4 frozen bananas

1 C canned pumpkin

1/3 C maple syrup

1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice

MATCHA PISTACHIO NICE CREAM:

3 frozen bananas

3 TBS coconut cream

1 TBS matcha powder

DRAGON FRUIT NICE CREAM

4 frozen bananas

1 frozen Pitaya pack

That’s it guys! I hope you try to make these for your friends and family this holiday. They are delicious and taste super creamy. Hashtag #cheapcleaneats if you make it!

    Hey Cassey 🙂

I don’t know why I feel that the picture with the romper is a “november fool” one 🙂
Is it photoshopped ? Your shadow doesn’t appear on the street !

  7. Cassie says:

  8. Marshalee says:

Hey!!! I love nice cream I make it all the time. In New York it is getting cold now so nice cream maybe not for me right now. I hate feeling cold too so eating nice cream in the winter is not really fun. However, your nice cream looks tasty!

    Wow Cassey 🙂
Looks so amazing 🙂 Where do you buy your frozen Pitaya pack? And can you also have them dry?
Ill be back in LA for Christmas and would love to make a “little” 😉 shopping
The red pitaya are so difficult to get in Denmark :/

Wish you an amazing day 🙂

  12. LA sounds like they never get snow and never have a white Christmas. I can’t live in such conditions but I would love to visit LA sometime. 🙂

  13. Kierstin says:

    I wish I liked bananas.?

  14. Anna says:

I don’t like bananas and was wondering if there were any substitutes so I can make these nice cream recipes?

  15. Lori says:

Hi! These look amazing and I can’t wait to try all three flavors! I noticed the matcha pistachio flavor has pistachios in the photo, but you don’t mention how much to use in the ingredients list and they aren’t in the video. Are there actually supposed to be any pistachios in the recipe? Thanks!!

  16. Mandi says:

I do not eat banana’s because I can’t handle the taste/flavor of them. What could I sub in for them to make these recipes?

    1. Ieva says:

Hi. I can’t have bananas too , I’m food intolerant to them

    2. ME says:

TRY bananas. Use your grown up mouth 🙂

  17. Lisa W says:

There is no measurement for the pistachios in recipe 2. But these look yummy!
