Shops like SomiSomi have put ube on the map! This Ube Soft Serve recipe is dairy-free, nutrient packed, and has a little boost of protein.
Have you ever been to a Somi Somi ice cream shop? If not, you must Google one in your area! The super soft and creamy flavors are really unique, as are the mix-ins and fun little fishy cones the provide.
I just knew when my new Ube flavored Sculpt+Debloat protein powder was ready, I HAD to create an ube soft serve that would rival what you find in the store!
The result, IMO, is pretty close, but mine is sugar-free and has some protein in it (had to make it a little “extra” 😉)!
Ube Soft Serve ingredients
I chose frozen bananas to achieve that extra creamy consistency. But don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like bananas! The ube protein powder gives it the sweet, authentic flavor you’re looking for.
A little vegan cream cheese creates a nice little tang and additional creaminess, and the xanthan gum makes it extra fluffy.
No ice cream maker required!
I’m telling you, this is super easy to make! All you need is a food processor to make everything nice and smooth.
Since the bananas are frozen when you blend everything together, you can eat your Ube Soft Serve as soon as it’s all blended together! Or you can freeze it in a glass container to scoop later of course. Just thaw for a few min before serving!
Now let’s make it!

- Add the bananas and yogurt to a food processor and blend until smooth. Add all remaining ingredients and continue blending until fluffy and well combined (about 3-4 minutes). If using xanthan gum, your soft serve will get fluffier the longer you blend it.
- Serve immediately, or, scoop into a glass container with a lid and freeze until ready to serve. Thaw slightly before serving.
