Do you remember this photo that I posted to instagram like a year ago?
That’s a pic of my developer’s hand drawing out the calendar in blue. In the bottom right are drawings in black ink that are mine – showing him exactly how I wanted this to function. We spent a lot of late nights in a local coffee shop up in the Bay Area when I still lived there talking about my dreams for the app and how it could best serve YOU. It’s always kinda hard predicting what will do best as I sift through ideas. I seriously wanted to put in SO MANY FUNCTIONS!!!! It was very difficult to “lean out” my thoughts. Anyway…
Well the day has finally come! After months and months of development and over a year of planning…your Blogilates Official App is here! Go into the app store and type in “Blogilates” or “Cassey Ho” and you will find it! AH so excited!! Can’t sleep so I’m blogging away!
1. The cover! That’s me doing a side plank on a balcony overlooking the beautiful Bay Area!
2. The Workout Calendar!!! You will find the rest of #soHotinAugust here as well as the new #SWEATEMBER calendar! It will make it so much easier to follow the planned workouts of the day! No more excuses for not wanting to make playlists and searching all over youtube. It’s right here for you! Also, you will find an exclusive Secret Video in the calendar each month (and these are yours to download onto your phone and own). In #SWEATEMBER you will find Hot Abs 100. This is an amazing ab routine I designed just for you! It’s a very very good combo that’ll make you BURRRRRRN! KNOWN ISSUES LOG:
Update 12:04am PST:
– The app just went live and we are experiencing some technical issues right now! Ah, don’t we love technology? I’m trying to work through these issues right now.
– iPhone 5 users cannot post a pic to the POPstergram. The “Select” button, the Camera button, and the flip over to see yourself button do not work. You can comment and heart.
– Facebook connection issue. If you are getting the message,
“Blogilates” would like to post publicly on your behalf.
…and you can’t even heart or comment in the POPstergram forum, then go to settings > facebook > tap your name > delete account. This will not delete your facebook. This is just a temp fix for the root of the problem if you want to comment and like really bad in the forum! Ha, I have yet to do my first POPstergram pic!
These are the known issues right now. I will keep updating this page as we figure these issues out. If you see anything I did not list, please comment!
The app is only available on iOS right now. I know, Android users please don’t be mad! At least when your app comes out the bugs will have been fixed! 😀

Hi Cassey, please can you reply to my queries. Firstly I couldn’t not subscribe via app, says in app purchases are unavailable, and I receive (SKErrorDomain error 4) message. Secondly, I have completed 21 day challenge in January and non of this registered. In fact I have completed over 100 workouts during January, but my app profile shows 0% activity. Hello I accidentally logged out of my Blogilates app which I love. I am trying to log back in and it tells me that it cannot detect my Twitter account which is how I was logged in. It says a Twitter is not detected. My daughter downloaded the app as well and tried creating an account through her twitter and it told her the same thing, that a twitter account was not detected. I really love this app and I noticed that you have the PIIT one or the Blogilates website, however they don’t have forums where we could share our stories. I suscribed to get my “casseys recommendation” calendar on February, and I don’t know why I can’t see/re download/ re suscribe or any other action to have the March one. It’s kinda blocked, I only see an empty calendar and no option to do anything. How can I fix it?

I’m not sure if this has been answered yet but I upgraded my phone and while my beginners calendar is showing available, the monthly calendar I purchased is gone. It was the march calendar and the first one I have ever purchased. Are the calendars only available during the one month or are we able to retrieve them? Thanks for the info!!

Hey, so I’ve already download the app but I can’t see the daily routine and follow the calendar because it keeps telling I have to pay for them… I thought they were for free and the only thing you had to pay for was the special video of the month…

Hey there! you should pay for the calendar instead of the special video so that you can get your daily routine work. Also, 0.99 is only for one calendar, if you want another one, you have to pay for 0.99 again i think.
I’m having an issue with your app on IOS iPhone 5s. I try opening your videos but they pop up then close down. Is there some update that you had recently that could be causing your issue. I have the paid version. I even tried deleted and reinstalling with the same outcome? I have even trying to use calendar workouts but have to go back and forth to find on YouTube? Please Help!

I’ve been paying for the monthly calendar for a while now, but haven’t had time to us it. So my question is if I was to cancel my subscription could I still view my past monthly purchases?
I’ve just done the same thing. Have had it for about 10 months but havn’t made as much use as i could have out of it so I just stopped the automatic subscription 🙂 just checked now if the other months were there and they still are 🙂 hope this helped.

Ok guys, I am having a MAJOR issue with this app. I just purchased it tonight through google play and it won’t show me any of the daily workout videos/calender that I paid for. Every time I click it tells me to subscribe then tells me there’s an error because I already am. But the app isn’t letting me see anything that I paid for??? I’ve had it for two minutes and am already extremely frustrated that I can’t simply work out like I wanted to. PLEASE HELP.

I have a concern or problem :O I bought the beginner Calendar on your app and I accidentally deleted the Blogilates app! So as i try to re-claim the begginer calendar, it says i can get it for free since i already purchased it previously, but now the next thing it says is “You’ve already purchased this, It just hasnt Downloaded. ” What am I supposed to do about this? PLEASE HELP. I NEED THE CALENDAR ALREADY AND START SO BADLY 🙁

Same thing happened to me! I almost had a heart attack! Don’t worry. I don’t know if you figured this out already since your comment was posted 20 days ago. What I did is I downloaded the app again after I accidentally deleted it and went to the calendar app at the bottom. While in the calendar tab, I went to the smiley face in the top right corner which led me to my account. Click “Go to Settings” and click on “Restore” under Storage Settings. Click Restore when a question about iTunes pops up. Now go back to Calendar and the current day (in pink) will be where you were when the app was deleted. You can just check of all the activities for the prior days. Now you can continue working out with Blogilates! Hope I helped!

Hey there, I cannot play videos in the app from the beginner’s calendar & monthly calendars. It says “An error occured while initializing the Youtube player” “NETWORK_ERROR”.
I am using Galaxy Note. Blogilates app updated. Youtube app updated. Already paid for the beginner’s calendar & the subscription for monthly calendars.

I just got an email about my subscription from iTunes. It directed me to my account settings where I had to log in and “turn off” the auto subscription! If you can find a way to get to the account settings, you’re gold!
Found it! You have to log in to iTunes to unsubscribe. Easiest way is to look for the original confirmation email and click on iTunes from there to unsubscribe. Hope that helps!
Not to kick a dead horse, but I don’t think iPads can have the app yet… At least, mine can’t.
On your iPad in the app store when you search for “Blogilates” make sure you choose “iPhone only” not “iPad only”, cause it’s only available in iPhone size, but you can still get it on your iPad.
Sound-
If your phone is set to vibrate, then there’s no sound- if you switch the ringer on, then the sound works.
That same slider button on your ipad (beside the volume toggle) can be set in the settings to either control the ringer? or as an orientation lock. If you go into settings – general- and then set the side switch to mute, then you can toggle that switch to get the sound on the video.
For my iPad I had to go into settings, general and “use side switch to” and tick “mute” then I had to physically slide the switch and make sure it said “Ringer” not “Ringer Silent” then back in the setting I put it back to “lock Rotation” mode to control the switch by the volume control buttons. This fixed my no sound issue in the app……even though the setting was originally on “lock rotation” I guess it had gotten locked onto “Ringer silent” then that button was switched to use as “Lock Rotation” I had sound in every other possible place/setting, it was driving me insane!!
I can’t log in with my twitter account – how do I fix this?
I’ve noticed a lot of other people hade this problem too, but I managed to fix mine. For me it was enough to log in again on my iphone settings – not on the twitter app, the settings. Just thought I’d let you guys know in case my solution works for others too. 🙂

Hi Cassey — LOVE the app. I was so excited to download the calendar. One small issue I’ve noticed — you can’t do the calendar out of order and still check off what you’ve worked on. I hurt my foot over the weekend so I decided to do some of the ab workouts from Wednesday the 11th yesterday. But I couldn’t check them off. And now I’ve noticed that if I go back and do Monday’s workout on another day I can’t check it off either. It seems you can only check it off on the actual day of the week. But because I’m somewhat out of order it’s even more crucial for me to check off so that I can remember which videos I’ve done. Do you think there might be an update on this soon?

I was checking out more of the app yesterday and was so concerned too see how many of the forum comments focused on girls feeling ugly/fat/berating themselves for not eating clean/working out as much as they ‘should.’ I think eating well and working out is great! And maybe I have a different point of voice because I’m in my 30s, not my teens, which can be a tough time of figuring yourself out and getting comfortable in your own skin. I’d just hate for the forum to become a forum of self-hate. Life is too short and everyone is beautiful right now even if they’re not quite where they want to be.

Btw I love using the app on my iPad, then I mirror the work outs from my ipad right to the apple TV and I am able to follow the workouts on my tv, so easy to use! I love following on the TV so much easier than computer. The calender on the app makes this easier!
I already downloaded it and I love it. Its so convenient. <3 I've been using it as soon as I was up for the morning. Its easy to find a quick 10 min workout and I don't have to worry about turning on the computer. Quick, easy, LOVE IT!!! 🙂

Hey guys quick update: I FINALLY managed to get my calendar back… yeahhh.. 🙂 I just restored my whole iphone and after the back up the calendar appeared again…puuh I am so glad and happy right now..:) Finally I can enjoy the full beauty of this app again.. 🙂 thanks so much Cassey for making such a cool app… 🙂 Love you.
I too, was very excited for the app, but alas, I also have an Android phone :0( Please do let us know when/if you plan on letting us in on the app action, too! Would LOOOOOOVE to have it!

Is there any hope for a Windows Phone App?
So, can we only get the calendar if we have an iPhone???? I signed up for the newsletters to get the passwords every month – is that now null and void? That doesn’t seem too fair. I figured maybe until the app is available to EVERYONE, we could still find the calendar here on the web site – early, just like the iPhone users. ??
She said she’ll still post the free calendar here on the blogilates website. 🙂

I really really love the app, it looks sooo nice and is perfect!! I have Android so I downloded it on my friends Iphone to be able to check it out. 😛 I love how it’s organized, with all the workouts and recipies categorized. Maybe you could do the same on blogilates.com 😀 😀
Cassey! I absolutely ADORE the app! It’s so helpful and handy, love the calendar and don’t mind forking over the 99 cents! I’ve been doing blogilates for about a year, but I’m always on the go so this is great for those times when I’m not able to be home in front of my computer. I especially love the design, it looks very similar to the upcoming iPhone interface, which goes to show what an innovate and creative designer you are!
I do have one concern, however, about one small thing I saw yesterday. While I love your little tidbits that you share about yourself on the video tab, the statement that popped up yesterday of “I can’t wear headbands, I look like a boy” left me feeling a little troubled. You absolutely have the right to express your dismay in how it might make you look (after all we should all feel good about our appearance, amiright!), but I feel like it reinforces gender norms in what boys and girls are “supposed” to look like. Popsters come in all shapes and sizes, looks and the like. Just my two cents on it, I’m hoping I don’t get tramped on by other folks for soapboxing.

I haven’t purchased the calendar yet, but can anyone tell me if the purchase is for the calendar month, or 4 weeks from the purchase date? For example if I paid the $0.99 or the 69p now, do I just get the rest of August, or some or all of September too? I also wanted to know if the videos you get access to, are they the same ones on the website. I work out at home as most of you guys do, but I’m curious to see how this app is better, if not the same, as using the online calendar. And finally, it says the videos are to keep.. You still need Internet to watch them every time, right? There’s no current function to save them locally on the phone, am I correct? Any help would be great, thanks!

Hey guys sorry for bothering you all again but I still have the payment issue after reinstalling the app…I tried the restore button in the app right corner bout 5-6 times and nothing happened…it still asks me about the payment and even after confirming several times rhe calendar doesnt appear…I could really cry because when I first paid for it I saw everything and I was so happy and so excited about it and now it doesnt work anymore…pls help..I am really desperate right now cuz I dont know how to fix that prob..:/
UPDATE: now I created a second apple id wirh my scnd mail address just to try if this will work..now I cant purchase the calendar anymore..it says that my purchase cant be completed I should visit the dupport page of apple…:( Guys I guess I have to accept that I will never ever have the siper cool calendar on my iphone ever again… :'(

I was just wondering if Cassey you can include a section on how to unsubscribe from the calendar in case anyone does want to stop using the calendar app for whatever reason. I know there’s a menu where you click “manage” to do that, but I’m having trouble finding that again. Don’t get me wrong, I do really like the app so far, I just want to make sure there’s a way of unsubscribing if anyone needs to.
You and your videos have really inspired me to make a change and it’s so easy ro follow your videos and have fun with great results, thankyou for motivating me, to be honest i was just on the verge of giving up, your a true inspiration, continue the great work and thankyou ❤

Hey the app is really great and looks good as well as goof transitions between tabs and pages however. I have the iphone 5 and I have NOT been able to upload any pictures. I will go to camera in the Popstergam and it wont react when I push the button to rotate cameras, snap the picture, or go into my photo library. I saw your release video and wanted to give you the info so that you can improve the app for everyone 🙂

Awesome app Cassey! 😀 I have an iPhone 4s and I still can’t connect to Facebook 🙁 I tried deleting my account from my phone, updating the Facebook app and deleting it again and I didn’t work 🙁 I LOVE the app though!!! It will definitely help me stay on track 🙂 I just need the $0.99 for the calendar and free video 😀 Another cool feature would be a printable tab so if someone’s at the gym and they don’t have the printable with them, they can just go on the app 🙂 BTW I can only wear certain headbands because 99% of them fall off! The only one I have that fits only matches a few pieces and I have to wait to wear it!

I just want to say that as a designer who has worked on apps and interfaces that your app is wonderful on first review!! The aesthetics are fantastic and it functions so well. I was so impressed I actually backtracked to this post to congratulate you for a wonderfully designed app! (I especially loved the categories, I found them very intuitive for the work-out searches.)

One more thing. Just noticed that through the app the videos have no sound on iPad mini. Video sound works outside of your app on the mini (could hear the app intro video here) and video sound worked through the app on the regular iPad.
I love it! But I have Android, so please, please make an app for Android too!! And please don’t tell me it’s going to take two years because I can’t wait!! 😀

Great app Cassey. One thing I found odd was that I paid for the calendar subscription on my ipad yet it is not registering on my iPad mini. Should it not register on both? I alternate between the two, particularly when I am travelling. Thanks. Sl
I am having the same problem with my iphone and ipad mini 🙁 After reinstalling the app on both devices i now cannot access the calendar on either. Any suggestions?
UPDATE: i went under the settings in the app and clicked RESTORE. After that my calendar appeared again! 🙂 Hope this helps with those who were having the same problem!

But I do have 1 problem. I can access everything but the popstergram! I can’t upload, like, or comment on anything! Every time I do, it says blogilates would like to post on your behalf. I tap okay, but nothing happens! I can’t login to facebook either. When I go to settings then tap on login, it still says blogilates woud like to post on your behalf, and it still doesn’t work! I’ve tried deleting it and then reinstalling it, but its still not working :/ Please fix! I have an iphone 4 btw.

I love this app so much, just know that it’s going to save me time at the gym, rather than going through all the videos through youtube (: I haven’t gone on to the forum yet as it’s asking me to connect to facebook, so before I do I just wanted to ask if anything will be posted onto my facebook account from the app. I dont exactly want to share pictures of me looking disgusting with all my friends on facebook (:

First off, I LOVE the app! You did a really good job. However, I have a question. I downloaded it on my iPhone. However, sometimes I prefer to use my ipad for watching exercise videos (bigger screen). But when I downloaded the app on my ipad, it asked me if I wanted to subscribe to a calendar again (I already did on my iPhone). I know there is a facebook login but I’m not sure what it does exactly and I don’t want some random stuff to appear on my facebook wall. Is there a way around Facebook? Or maybe I’m missing something. Please help.

I think it would be cool if each person had their own account where you could see photos you’ve uploaded, liked, commented on, etc. (like on Instagram). Also, it would be fun to have the ability to send private messages and/or chat with people from the online community. It could also help with the motivation factor if we could add friends or follow each other. Just some thoughts. I love the app!

I have a big problem. I was trying the whole day to upload a picture but I still can’t do anything. The app would not let me press any button. So I decided to delete the app and reinstall it. So I still can’t upload anything and now, I wanted to check the calendar and everytime I press on a date, it asks me to buy/subscribe to the calendar, but I have already subscribed and paid for it? But the first time I installed the app, the calendar worked and I checked today’s workout, but now it is all messed up.. 🙁 please help…I don’t know what I should do, now I can’t even see the workout days because it asks me everytime to subscribe and pay for.. :/

Yes I have also an I phone 5. Cassey posted an update to the app above and there she wrote that iphone 5 users cannot upload any pictures. But we can comment and heart. I guess having an iphone 5 is not always an advantage right? But do you have by coincidence the same problem with the calendar payment as I do? Cuz I absolutely dont have any clue how to fix that prob. 🙁

They’re not marked, but I wanted to add that I think this is a really good idea! Make if there were a little V or GF symbol or recipes that are vegan or gluten free? I’m vegan, and I spent a bunch of time looking through recipes that mostly had eggs.
This seems really great but as I don’t have a smartphone I can’t have it. I wished something like this would be available on the computer.

but i miss some workout series like on fire series or the invade london.

WOW Cassey! I have no words for this, even in german *haha* – really, this is totally awesome. At my company, I work in development too (we are even developing for apps) so I know what amount of work this must have been. I can NOT wait to have this on my little Android Phone so I hope that the beta-phase (ist it even beta?) for IOS goes super well and that everyone will have fun with this! I’ve already saved the workout calendars to my phone in the past few months so I can do the workouts where ever I am 🙂 But I don’t have to in the future. Hey Cassey!! I love this app! It’s AMAZING. But I can’t get the POPstergram to work. I click upload and all it does it ask me if Facebook can publicly post for me and i click OK and it does nothing. I am so confused!

YAY! I’m so excited for this because I like to use my ipad for the videos, but they won’t show up on the daily list of workouts (not sure why) so I have to search them on YouTube or just use the computer, which can be a pain, so this is awesome!
I absolutely don’t mind paying $12 a year for your workout calendar Cassey, even though we can get it for free online, the convenience of using a mobile device is worth it! Plus, I wholeheartedly want to support you and want you to keep doin’ what you’re doin’ so I will happily pay for the extra convenience.
Question about the facebook login…so I clicked ‘allow’ for blogilates to post on my behalf on accident – does this mean stuff I post in-app will appear on my facebook?! I really don’t want that, but I can’t see anywhere to ‘delete’ account, it only gives the option to login or out. I tried deleting the app and re-installing, but it still remembers my selection. I haven’t posted anything yet to see if it posts to facebook as well….does anyone who’s posted know?
I’m having a similar problem! I clicked “don’t allow” when prompted to let the app post on my half, but now whenever I try to like or comment on something, it says “Apps Disabled. Go to Settings > Facebook and turn ON Blogilates.” I only see a login option, and when I try clicking on it, it gives me the same message as before.

After reading that POPsters will have access to the calendars by downloading them for US$0.99 on their phones I had a question: will the calendars become available in only that way?

I just started college, and after being used to doing all your videos in the privacy of my room back home, I’ve been struggling to figure out how to take your workouts to the gym at my school. Please please please make one for Android!!! My heart sank when I realized it was just for iPhone!
I definately wouldn’t mind paying 0.99 cents for the monthly calendar, but you need to link your app store account to a credit card. 🙁 I don’t have one and neither do my parents. That’s too bad, but I love the app Cassey!
Go to your local grocery store and buy a reloadable Visa for $25, or an App Gift Card. Voila. 🙂
You don’t necessarily need to link it to a credit card. When you try to buy an app that is free, the appstore will suggest that you make an account. Then you can just choose for the ITunes Gift Card as a payment. Good Luck 🙂

I’m totes excited it’s finally here!!! But I do have a few questions/comments…
1) I think it would be nice to have a way to read blog posts from the app and sort through them like the videos since I find it hard to do online when I want to reread a post from a long time agi.
2) Is the Popstergram the community? I don’t have a facebook or an instagram so I can’t do anything 🙁 I hope in the future there will be something everyone can just write and ask questions .

Having this app will really cultivate a greater sense of community and motivation for all users! I was just feeling so down today because it seems that no one around me understand how much working out and trying to lose the weight for good means to me, and I logged on to your website again and see this announcement! I’m so HAPPY!
(Also, I realise you have the POPster ambassor page and I’m so glad some POPster have tumblrs and I can follow them there to inject some positivity and support, esp when I saw one from where I’m staying! That’s so awesome because sometimes I see people making certain foods etc and I can’t relate or make them cuz I don’t have the ingredients, and this kind of thing gets frustrating after a while. It’s as if it is so much harder to be motivated in where I’m living because of the different environment and culture, but seeing another popster makes me more motivated!)

And I’m really really truly extremely happy that we are charged $0.99 for the calendar! I know, it’s weird that I’m happy that something isn’t free for me but that’s only because I believe you DESERVE THE SUPPORT! Especially in the practical form of actual money (c’mon, spirtual support can only go so far. How many spirits can you have with you already?) I will definitely pay for the calendar because:
1）It really is so much more convenient this way! Just hope the videos don’t crash!
2) Secret video = additional challenge (:
3) I think the layout of the calendar is really thoughtful, not only in the interface but also in the motivating sense!
4) I really wish to support you, except I live in a country so far away, the shipping fees for any of your outfits just doesn’t justify it (and I’m so scared I can’t fit into most of them anyway). Buying the calendar is the easiest way I can show my support (:

Although I am mucho excited for this I don’t agree with a calendar subscription price, I feel like its another workout app that was looking for my money, which is why I love Cassey and her work out calendar and vids sure you subscribe to the community ( totally fine who doesn’t love this community) and then you’re off on your fitness journey that’s why I’m annoyed by it

You can’t get this on the iPad yet? Will I be able to? My iPad’s screen is so much clearer for workouts than my phone.
On the app store, if you search “blogilates” there is a tab at the top that says iPad apps and iPhone apps. Click on the iphone apps and you can download it. The screen will be tiny but just click the little “2x” button in the lower R corner.

Try MyFitnessPal for tracking calories/exercise 🙂 It has really helped me with calorie counting & portion control… i think they have it on Android as well!

Of course… iPhone gets it ahead of the everyone else. What about the rest of us that don’t have a stupid iPhone? I have android, which means I can’t get the app until its available for us. Ugh so annoyed with the fact iPhone rules when I know just as many people with android as I do iPhone. I will wait until there KS a version for the rest of us.

Awesome App Cassey! The first time around there is always bugs (working on computers full time I would know!). For version 1.0 this is very well put together and very beautiful! The 99 cents a month is so worth it. Thank you for all your hard work!

I think you should add a calorie counter/food journal element to the app. I left this suggestion on youtube comments, but I’ll leave it again here: Wi-fi/mobile data can be a huge problem for some at the gym. Adding an option to download the day’s videos (by like, checking a box by the vid’s name on the calendar, maybe; unchecking removes the vid’s in order to save hard drive space) could be really helpful! Can’t wait for the Android version!

Cassey!! I love the app 🙂 it’s so clean and beautifully designed. I don’t mind the $.99 for the monthly calendar. It’s a nominal fee and creating an app + fixing tech problems isn’t free.
Okay! Questions: Do you need to use your Facebook account to access the forum? Is the forum only view-able on the app? I only ask because I’m a little shy, and having everyone see my facebook profile while I’m struggling through weight loss is a little embarrassing. But I would feel less freaked out if it were just on the app.
My question also! I prefer not to publish everything on Facebook!

Ok. I figured it out. if i go to youtube the volume works even if i have my phone on silence, but the app doesn’t.. i put it on ring mode and it works just fine 🙂

I also think web apps are much better. That way you wouldn’t lock people into a platform just because their favorite apps don’t work on their current phone.
I dont even had a smart phone, so I won’t be able to access the Calander at all… Now I don’t know how I will plan my workout :'(. I only use my laptop to be honest.

I still can’t seem to figure it out. I tap on Facebook in settings (in the Blogilates app?), then I get a question if Veam can post on my public profile on my behalf, then what? I can’t tap on my name anywhere, I can only tap “Don’t allow” and “OK”… Help?
Or will this bug be fixed soon? Then I’ll wait patiently :3

I had the same problems, so just do it like Cassey says:
settings > facebook > tap your name > delete account
BUT not the settings of the app ;). The settings of your iPhone 😉 i first missunderstand that.
