Cute, Cheap and Affordable Workout Clothes for Under $25? YES!

Cute, Cheap and Affordable Workout Clothes for Under $25? YES!

I know a lot of you think fitness clothes are just TOO EXPENSIVE. But good brands like Lulu, Body Language, ALO, MPG, etc. are priced this way for a reason! They stretch, keep their shape, are sweat-wicking, non-see-thru, they last, and are colorfast. However, I understand your pain. Lululemon charges an average of $100 for a pair of pants! And yes, you must have more than one 😛 It gets pricey fast. Really fast.

One of my recommendations for shopping QUALITY name brands for way under MSRP are your local brick and mortar stores. Great places to get fashionable activewear for cheap are Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx (TK Maxx for my European fans), Nordstrom Rack, and the clearance rack of department stores if you get lucky. Macy’s is a good one.

But for those of us who don’t like real life shopping and prefer pushing a mouse to pushing a cart, here are some workout clothes I came across while browsing Amazon last night.  These pieces are affordable, fashionable,  and won’t empty your wallet. This is what I found. Click on photos to enlarge.

 $8.99$13.99$18.00

$7.99 $3.13

 $16.99$21.95$19.95

$14.89 $8.95$16.99

$24.99$21.02$17.50

$4.75$15.98 $10.99

$11.39$12.59$14.99

$15.11$15.52$17.40

$17.99$18.00$19.00

$19.80$19.99$19.99

$19.99$19.99$21.30

$21.98

Not bad huh? Which piece do you like the best? There’s some Champion, Under Armour, Zohba, Athleta, FitCouture, and American Apparel sprinkled in there. I can’t vouch for the pants though – not sure if they pass the “squat test” but everything here looks very cute nonetheless!

Do you have a fave activewear brand? Or do you just mix and match everything? Tell me in the comments!

  9. Great suggestions. Thanks to the internet we can acquire high quality yoga clothing at affordable prices.

  10. My fovorite so far is the Alki’i Lycra Fold over Yoga Pants. I was not expecting much from this fold over yoga pants when I bought them, yet literally felt the magic when I first tried them on. The pants are breathable, comfortable and hug my thighs just right. As a mid-sized woman, I like the way they do not reveal the things I do not wish to be seen.

There’s also Ellie! Just as stylish as Lulu, super comfy, good quality, and if you become a member with them you pick 2 pieces from their collection each month for $50. I swear, I live in their “my new obsession leggings”- for the first time in my life I’ve got a pair of leggings that I’m not constantly tugging on and readjusting! They just move with me. It’s glorious. Check them out! http://www.ellie.com/invites/MTIzMjA5

I got a really cute pair of yoga pants at JCPenny for $14! Normal price was nearly $60 but there was a sale as always and I had a $10 off coupon.
It took a while to find them though because most of their stuff was like size 14 and I’m not very wide.

For tiny people I actually find buying kids clothes can work if you find good stuff! A lot of people don’t know but Lululemon has a girls store called Ivivva; they have the same stuff as Lululemon (similar styles, exact same quality, and nice colours) but it’s significantly cheaper, typically $20-$30 less. It’s not quite as inexpensive as the stuff Cassey managed to find but it’s great if you want Lululemon quality but find their prices a little too high. Plus a bonus… I don’t know how it works in the U.S. but in Canada there’s pretty much no tax on kids clothes so that helps the end total too 🙂
Unfortunately this only works if you wear a size 2 or 4 in Lululemon. I wear a size 4 in Lulu and a size 14 in Ivivva fits me perfectly.
And they used to only ship to Canada but their American online store just opened up a few days ago!!! Plus they have free shipping!

OOHH!!! I really like UpVibe and Body Language obviously…but Aerie is good too! They’re made for Juniors and VERY VERY affordable. Super comfy, low cut. http://www.ae.com/aerie/browse/category.jsp?catId=cat4980022

nice! i would love u to recommend to me some sneakers as well!

      1. these clothes are great for thin people. I don’t want tight clothes

        1. Isabel says:

You can always use a t-shirt to workout! I normally wear some cotton shorts (loose leg-holes, so they’re not tight!) and a p.j. tee- like those tshirts that you get when you visit colleges and on trips. I call them PJ tees because they’re baggy and not suitable for public use, at least for me! Hope thos helps.

PS- another bonus is that these can double as your PJs so you have no excuse to workout in the morning!

PERFECT!! I was just thinking about this yesterday. I’ve been yearning for some great workout clothes that I can afford (being a poor college student sort of makes buying quality workout clothes a non-priority). Luckily for me, there’s a Ross very nearby! 🙂

  21. Molly says:

I love browsing Marshalls for activewear and sneakers. I’ve also scored a lot

  25. Maud says:

Thank you so much Cassey!! I’m looking for cheap outfit for sooooo long!! infortunately…cheap outfit generally means non fashion and totally unsexy outfit…seems like girls can’t work out AND be fashionable….but I don’t wanna look like a sweaty male bear during my work out!!!!!I invested in 1 capri from BSL but can’t afford more than that (even though I’d like to buy ALL the items!) so thantk you thank you thank you for this post!!!!
