Bikini Thoughts + Pamper Me Fabulous Giveaway!

Hey POPsters!

I just got back from LA this morning! Landed in SF and headed RIGHT to training. This stuff is getting serious. I will be on stage in just 12 days. 12 days!!??? What!!????

That is like nothing. I really can’t believe it. I keep watching YouTube videos of the bikini pros who have stellar muscle tone and definition from years of training, but I have to remember that I am competing at an amateur level! So all will be fine. I will bring the best package I’ve got and I know I will have a great time. The journey so far as been a rewarding one and I am falling in love with weight training all over again.

While in LA, some friends were asking about about my obvious weight loss and were pinching me like a specimen or something.

“Oohhh those thighs, so toned!” *grabs my quad*

“Whaaa, your waist! Much tinier!” *pinches my ab fat*

Hahaha, pretty funny, a little uncomfortable, but I do not mind. All I say is that it is clean dieting, double cardio sessions, and heavy weight lifting! Seriously. And in that order too. I am working hard because I want to look good on stage and I want all of my sweat and tears prove it.

Today Kip, my trainer, shared some insight that stuck with me. He said something along the lines of “Bodybuilding is unlike any other sport. In tennis or soccer or football, you train and train and train but if you make a mistake on game day, you lose. In fitness competitions, you train and train and train and on game day you just show up with your best package. There’s no mistakes that can really be made.” He’s right, all the work that needs to be done is being done NOW. So every minute that I can spare to prepare myself for the competition, I’ll do it. So I’m putting in my cardio time at the gym after teaching AND after training.

I got my jewelry this weekend too! Sparkly bangles! A huge ring! Big hoop earrings! Swarovski crystals for my bikini! This was probably the most fun part of prepping for a bikini comp – haha. I have 2 bikinis actually – one hot pink and one cheetah. Not sure which I will wear yet but I am decorating both. It’s gonna come down to which fits me best on show day and which looks better on my super tanned body. Secretly I want the cheetah to work out but I have a feeling it might blend with my skin tone.

Anyway! Thanks to all the POPsters who came out to Hollywood to workout with me! Had a blast at the meetup. If you weren’t able to come…well you’re in luck. I will be doing another class up in San Francisco on May 13th! Not a regular meetup, but as a guest teacher at Pamper Me Fabulous. It’s a super cool event that a fellow female entrepreneur I know is hosting. It’s all about relaxing, indulging, and getting quality YOU time in for all things, fitness, health, beauty, and luxury!     This may sound crazy. However I feel fabulous when I go back home and my mom gives me a compliment on my weight loss. It’s been a struggle between the two of us. She always felt a little hurt by my clean eating, since that meant her cooking wasn’t always what I could eat. However, whenever I get that compliment or she says she’s happy and proud of me, I can’t help but feel more fabulous and comfortable in my own skin. If my mom can be proud of my journey, then so should I. That smile she gives me makes me feel more fabulous than anything I know. Goodluck girl. Make Fremont Proud!

    What makes me feel fabulous, is when my husband or kids give me a complement. For example I may feel like a hot mess and my son (who’s 4) will say “mom you are the prettiest mom” That can change my whole attitude about myself around quicker than anything else.

    I always feel fabulous after a run with my boyfriend. He is a US Marine and he always motivates me to run fast and train hard! He just got home from 8 months away so it’s nice to get back in shape with him by my side 🙂 good luck at your competition!! 🙂

    I’m a toddler teacher and college student, who is working hard to be better, faster and stronger. And I feel fabulous when I get a chance to sweat at work with my kids and get to hear their little giggles when they stretch with me after a good hard play outside.

    What makes me fabulous is working out hard, knowing that all the time I put in is accomplished. Also eating clean and staying away from all those tempting junk foods…. 🙂

    What makes me feel FABULOUS is reaching a goal and then setting a new higher goal! I love the feeling of accomplishment and then the feeling of accepting a new challenge! Currently, that, for me is my cardio. I have just recently been on my exercise bike for 45 minutes which is the best I have ever done! Now my goal will be 50 minutes!

    i feel utterly fabulous after a tough, KILLER workout to head to the mirror and watch my back and shoulders sweat (creeps, i know :3)

    What makes me feel fabulous is the fact that after I do a workout , the next day , I get this awesome pain renching feeling throughout my body . And I love it ! Cus I know that im actually gaining muscle and loosing fat !

    The one thing that Always makes me feel Fabulous is having a great run. This when running doesn’t feel like work for me. I feel like I’m flying, unstoppable. I’m free from all my worries. When I’m done I feel amazing and ready to take on the world. I feel strong, beautiful, and yes, Fabulous even though I’m all sweaty 😉

    I feel fabulous after a good run. I may be drenched in sweat and red as a tamato, but I always feel like a million dollars.

    I’ve also been feeling pretty fab when I wake up sore from those butt vids you have up. 🙂

    Dancing! Dancing always makes me feel fabulous. Not choreographed or practiced, just letting the music take over. I don’t care what I look like or what anyone thinks, and I don’t need a partner. Sometimes I just dance in the street, shower, or if I’ve had a rough day. Doesn’t hurt that it gets some cardio in there too 🙂

    Good Luck! You should already be proud of yourself and I have no doubt you will push it until the last second!

    one thing that always makes me feel fabulous is when someone comments on my weight loss and also after completing a series of ur workouts at one time……..its like a big achievement for me.

    I feel fabulous the moment when I see the scale number going down every time I have a weekly weigh in. I feel so proud of the all the hard work I put in(: Also a fabulous trip shopping also makes me feel good, knowing that I will look good in many outfits thanks to all the exercising and healthy eating.

    The one thing that makes me feel fabulous is the way my dog jumps up and tries to lick my face when I get home. He jumps pretty high for a small dog, and he jumps around me in circles. It’s like coming home and having the paparazzi (but not annoying more loving). It makes me feel like some kind of fabulous super model. 🙂

    What makes me feel fabulous is having a great day by myself. With a busy school and work schedule, getting a day for me time happens once in a blue moon. What I do to make myself feel fabulous is first, go on a mini shopping spree at the mall (buy a couple of things from forever 21 & maybe and iced coffee), take a yoga class at my local gym, shower and do my hair, then dress up in one of my new outfits and rock it over to my boyfriends house. The look on his face when I walk in is priceless. 😉

    I feel fabulous when I look in the mirror and, instead of focusing on my flaws, see all the hard work I’ve done to sculpt my beautiful body.

    One thing that makes me feel fabulous is this – in a burlesque class I took our teacher suggested that we get a little flirty while drying off after a bath, I just LOVE stepping out of the tub squeaky clean and spending some time with my towel and my mirror, haha! It definitely gives me confidence to last throughout the day!

  55. I always feel fabulous after a grueling, full day’s hike with my dog and friends..then getting clean and dressed up so we can all go out to dinner afterwards (sans dog.) !
