Clutter’s like Butter. BLOGILATES WEEK #1 CHALLENGE: Clean up!
I am so excited to be launching the first video from our series of weekly challenges!!!! That’s right. Every week for the next year, all of us POPsters will be doing the same challenges together every 7 days. Mini challenges are doable, attainable, and there will be a variety! So join me and your fellow friends all over the world in this week’s challenge of cleaning up you life to cleanse your soul and your body!!!
I remember watching an episode on Oprah a while back that correlated clutter in your room to extra weight on your frame. OMG so true. The more stuff you have in your room that you don’t need, the less control you have over your life, your goals. Things are standing in your way. LITERALLY.
Peter Walsh, author of Does This Clutter Make my Butt Look Fat? says, “Clutter and weight can be symptoms of an unresolved, underlying issue in your life. Eating more and buying more is an attempt to fill the need for something more.”
Walsh’s job is to reorganize people’s lives, and in doing so, he found this out from his clients. “‘Suddenly I discovered that by clearing my space, I’m making much healthier food choices and I am starting to lose weight.”
Crazy huh? Well it makes sense. Having control over your space is no different than having control over your diet or your body. You need to take ownership and change the environment you’re in if it’s not motivating you to be the best you can be. I write this as I sit in a pile of clutter! Haha, well I am in the process of reorganizing my room to better suit my needs. It’s a disaster, but it is a work in progress.
This week’s challenge is to throw out 5 things you haven’t touched or thought about in the last year.
BE CLEAN, EAT CLEAN, AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE!!!! That is my message to you today. Now tell me, what things will you be tossing, selling, or donating?
