Brokenhearted Ab Challenge

I am IN LOOOVEEEEEEE with Karmin and her song “Brokenhearted” right now! I am so happy she comes from a YouTube background and made it into the real music scene. She’s super talented!

This video is an ab challenge and I need you to do butterfly rollovers for like 4 minutes. Yea that’s right no biggie.

If your hips hurt, keep your knees bent. If you can’t lift off the floor either use your hands to support your back or do the modification. Go for it! In the comments, tell me if you were able to finish it or not. And let me know what body part and what song you want me to do next!

    Hey…well I love your videos..however I feel that I never do this right. I feel more of a burn in my thighs rather than in my abs…is this normal because we move the legs or am I doing something wrong. Input would be amazing because all of your other challenges are awesome!

    Hi cassey! i loved the concept of this challenge,but when i was doing it my hips clicked every single time! and it hurt! and by hips i mean the join between my pelvic bone and leg. do you have any tips for me to complete the challenge? i had to stop after one minute!

    OMG I love this couldnt stop laughing at first because I booted the bed, it hurt but was funny if that makes sense. Then after like two mins it hurt ! Love it, love it love it !!!!!!

    Loved it! I’ve been having some hip problems so I had to keep my legs bent and limit my range of motion:-(

    This request is totally off the wall, but how would you feel about a classic rock work out video? Eye of the Tiger by Survivor, Another One Bites the Dust by Queen, Jukebox Hero by Foreigner, maybe some ACDC or Bon Jovi in the mix.

    Loved it but it hurted! 😀 My only problem was that my back started to hurt.. So I couldn’t do it the whole time, but the next time will be better haha. That’s what challenges are for, right? To improve them 🙂

  10. Loved it! And it flew by with you talking! But I did this on carpeted floor, and I kept sliding across the room every time my legs circled around! I prob should do it on a yoga mat next time… but again, GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND!

I have serious core muscles thanks to you Cassey! hm, I’d LOVE an arm challenge with various kinds of push ups, but I can’t think of any pop songs! I’m ridiculously pop song ignorant, I have no idea who or what is hot right now, hahaha.

    your challenge is great! i have a knee hurt since 3 weeks, so it was a challenge that i could do!
    and it was so good that you were talking, because time passed so qickly! at first i thought oooookay 4min eeeeeehm BUT when i finished it was like OH WE´RE FINISHED? so keep talking in your videos 😀
    i would like to do a challenge for the legs, especially for the thigh!

    I had a break just after half way – my triceps were getting really sore! I realised I was using my arms to help push myself up instead of my abs :/

    For your next video I’d love to see an arm/upper body challenge!

    you would be proud of meee! i chose to do a pilates vid instead of getting my bed-time snack tonight 🙂
    anyway—–my right hip pops a lot also, so mid-way i started doing the hip lifts with the twist (from another vid).
    annnd, i know this is weird—but i’m currently ending an 11 year marriage to my high school- guy… (not a sweetheart anymore) so i’m digging all these new break-up songs like Part of me by Katy (loveeeee her!), somebody that i used to know by gotye, stronger by kelly clarkson, etc… so a bombin breakup work out would be fun…and funny!
    i’m also SOOO in love with fun. “we are young!” (def going down as one of my ALL time faves), and train “Drive by”, and “rumor has it” by adele… those songs would have me killin’ it hard core on the mat 🙂

    Hey! Thanks for the awesome vid. When I do these, as I’m pushing my legs over my head I get cramps in the back of my arm a few inches below my shoulders. Terrible ouchy cramps. This has happened before with this kind of move so I made sure to stretch above and behind my head and across my torso ahead of time but no deal. Any suggs?

    i just stumbled across this in ab section after doing 3 rounds of muffin top meltdown but couldnt managed it so moved over to another ab vid. No worries though, i’ll keep trying until i can do the moves. Can we please have a obliques and thigh combined workout please (ideally a 15min one).

    Hi Cassey! Another great video, I found my right hip was clicking really badly with the circles, so I kept my legs straight, is there any way I can do the circles without making my hips click?

    Ahhh thank you for this! I hurt my foot AND recently had anesthesia, so I can’t use my IV arm yet. I thought I was going to take a rest day, but I jumped right off the couch to do this.

    It totally helps that you talk through it, especially talking about your competition! And, I have made your protein pancakes (minus the psyllium husk). I eat them with peanut butter pre-workout. Yum!
