8 Minute Bikini Butt + Bay Area Time!
Just got back from the Bay Area a couple hrs ago from POP Pilates Training! I can’t wait to bring this format back to my hometown. Did you guys know that I grew up in Union City? Went to James Logan High School! Some of my first YouTube videos were filmed at the Union City Sports Center (they didn’t know) and in my bedroom at my parent’s house! Anyone from the Bay?
It was so awesome coming back, teaching, and meeting so many awesome 24 Hr Fitness members and POPsters! I am so lucky that I get to travel and teach to different faces almost every weekend. I do however miss having the consistency of a weekly class….making friends with my students over time…and growing with my class. For a few reasons, but mostly because of all the traveling, I am currently not teaching a steady group fitness class a few times a week for the first time in like 9 years! It’s really weird 🙁 but hopefully soon I will be able to get back to doing that.

It’s tradition for all POP instructors to take a group photo at training. (If you’ve been to one or are going to come to one, you will know!) Some people get uncomfortable, but you know what, life is about getting comfortable with your discomfort. That’s when you grow. But hey in all seriousness, even though I’m talking about a photoshoot here, what I am REALLY talking about is life. Live in fear a little bit. Then conquer it day by day. Keep doing that. You’re gonna be a brand new person.
Going home means I get to visit sis too. We played with polaroids and it was SO awesome. There’s something about polaroids (maybe the fact that each pic is around $1) that makes you want to be so careful with each and every photo, whereas phones are limitless as long as you have battery and stamina. Plus! The pics lack that HD clarity and I feel like everyone’s skin ends up looking really nice. Haha.

And finally, here is your new workout from the Swimsuit Slimdown Series! The 8 minute bikini butt! This workout is done completely standing. I thought it wouldn’t be that bad when I wrote it out, but when I did it, OH EM GEE. It delivered. I was dying. Not just my butt, but my quads, calves, and toes too from balancing! It was craziness.
Also, a reminder that it is not too late t0o join in on #theStretchProject! Tomorrow is Day 15 and we are doing The Bow! This backbend stretches the entire front of your body, especially the chest and the fronts of your shoulders. Also, it is a great massage for your abdominal organs. Can’t wait to see your photos!
