Hey guys!

Just got back from the Bay Area a couple hrs ago from POP Pilates Training! I can’t wait to bring this format back to my hometown. Did you guys know that I grew up in Union City? Went to James Logan High School! Some of my first YouTube videos were filmed at the Union City Sports Center (they didn’t know) and in my bedroom at my parent’s house!  Anyone from the Bay?

It was so awesome coming back, teaching, and meeting so many awesome 24 Hr Fitness members and POPsters! I am so lucky that I get to travel and teach to different faces almost every weekend. I do however miss having the consistency of a weekly class….making friends with my students over time…and growing with my class. For a few reasons, but mostly because of all the traveling, I am currently not teaching a steady group fitness class a few times a week for the first time in like 9 years! It’s really weird 🙁 but hopefully soon I will be able to get back to doing that.

It’s tradition for all POP instructors to take a group photo at training. (If you’ve been to one or are going to come to one, you will know!) Some people get uncomfortable, but you know what, life is about getting comfortable with your discomfort. That’s when you grow. But hey in all seriousness, even though I’m talking about a photoshoot here, what I am REALLY talking about is life. Live in fear a little bit. Then conquer it day by day. Keep doing that. You’re gonna be a brand new person.

Going home means I get to visit sis too. We played with polaroids and it was SO awesome. There’s something about polaroids (maybe the fact that each pic is around $1) that makes you want to be so careful with each and every photo, whereas phones are limitless as long as you have battery and stamina. Plus! The pics lack that HD clarity and I feel like everyone’s skin ends up looking really nice. Haha.

And finally, here is your new workout from the Swimsuit Slimdown Series! The 8 minute bikini butt! This workout is done completely standing. I thought it wouldn’t be that bad when I wrote it out, but when I did it, OH EM GEE. It delivered. I was dying. Not just my butt, but my quads, calves, and toes too from balancing! It was craziness.

Also, a reminder that it is not too late t0o join in on #theStretchProject! Tomorrow is Day 15 and we are doing The Bow! This backbend stretches the entire front of your body, especially the chest and the fronts of your shoulders. Also, it is a great massage for your abdominal organs. Can’t wait to see your photos!

    I’m from the Bay (Sunnyvale, now I live in Mountain View), and I would have LOVED to attend your class in Fremont, but I was actually in London visiting MY younger sister. Sister time is soooo important! Hope to catch another one of your classes soon.

    Hey Cassey! I so want to become certified in Pop Pilates! I was a gymnast/dancer all through childhood and love fitness. I learned about pilates in highschool and fell in love. I discovered blogilates after my first child was born and went hard until I found out I was pregnant again. I’m just getting back into your workouts and feel great! I live in St. Augustine, FL and am dying to get certified! Please bring Pop Pilates to St. Augustine!

    I really enjoy doing your workouts Cassey and your new 8 minute bikini butt workout was awesome! I loved every second of it! btw, i love my polaroid camera! I feel like its extra special when you take a picture with it because you can’t just erase it and do it over (i mean you CAN do it over, but too many do-overs can get expensive). That polaroid picture is printed and is now a memory!

    Hello Cassey!!
    I know that you already made a video talking about this, but can you do a new video with more details about the Pre and Post Workout meals? I always have the same problem, everyday. I’m getting stressed out. For example: is my cheat meal day. I ate pizza.. So according to your information, it takes 3 hours to digest, so after 3 hours, can I do my workout? How long should I wait after eating a big meal to do my workout. And a small one, like a snack? Should I wait 2/3 hours too? Please can you give more examples of snacks pre and post wo? Is that story about the chocolate milk being a good after wo snack true? If you don’t feel like doing a video please answer me… I really need your help. Please… 🙁

  9. Hi Cassey! I am a Bay Area gal, who just moved from San Francisco to the East Bay. I’m also a 24 Hour Fitness group fitness instructor and was not able to make it to your training, but I really wanted to. I can’t wait to try the POP class live in a gym soon. And OF COURSE, you have to take a group photo! 🙂 Have a lovely week!!
