#1000AbChallenge: The Hardest Challenge Yet?!

Hey guys!

Remember when you asked for more challenges after we finished the #21DayTone? Well… your wish is my command 😉.

Starting March 1st, we’re doing a #1000AbChallenge. AHHH!

And guys, this is gonna be a good one. You blew my expectations during the last challenge, so I had to make this one extra interesting.

Funny story. When I first planned this challenge I was like, uhhh am I ready for this?! But then I remembered we’re doing this TOGETHER, and that motivates me like nothing else. So before you look at this challenge and doubt yourself, know this: Yes, this challenge is tough. But you’re TOUGHER.

Okay. Are you ready to see the plan?! YESSSS!

Here’s Your #1000AbChallenge 🔥

The Details

We’ll start Day 1 with 100 crunches. Cute, right? Don’t get too comfy, though! We’re gonna start climbing on Day 2 with 100 crunches AND 100 sit-ups. Day 3 repeats the crunches and the sit-ups, plus 100 reps of ANOTHER new move. Annnnd you’ll keep going in that pattern for 10 days.

Here are all of the moves we’ll be doing:

1. Crunches

2. Sit Ups

3. Single Leg Drop

4. Wiggles

5. Toe Touches

6. Butt Ups

7. Low Helicopters

8. Hip Twists

9. Side Plank Dippers

10. Criss Crosses

Yep, we’re hitting allllll of the abdominal muscles!

Save this graphic so you can keep track! The video for Day 1 will be on YouTube, but the videos for Days 2 – 10 will ONLY be in the BodyByBlogilates appDon’t worry though, it’s all free!!

Oh and yes, you’re doing the math right. That means we’ll have ONE THOUSAND reps on the 10th Day. AHHHH!

I know you’re probably over there like, “CASSEY. You can’t be serious.”

But you know I’d never play about a challenge! Over the next 10 days, our abs are under serious construction.  This is without a doubt our HARDEST CHALLENGE YET! So commit now to giving it everything you’ve got.

And if you still need a little push, think about how you CRUSHED #21DayTone. I mean, you kind of made it look easy. I know you can do this!

    Modifying this so it’s more balanced! I’m going to do each of the 10 exercises every day but increase the reps from 10-100. Also less boring that way 😉 (I can do rounds of 10 to 20 rep supersets with rest between to make it a bit more HIT-like too!).

    Thanks for the inspiration! (Also as someone with shitty wrists, I appreciate the non-plank moves!)

    LOL I started today, I legit thought we were adding 100 to the crunches day 2 (200 crunches + 100 sit ups) day 3, 300-200-100 until we do 1000 of everything!!! Im SO GLAD I figured this out before dying 😛
    Really enjoy your content Cassie, I find it easy to listen to you talk and very much appreciate the instruction before the move on the first rounds of your workouts!

    Completed the challenge lost more than an inch from waist and two inches from lower waist. Amazingggg challenge please come up with something similar soon. I feel so strong after this challenge

    I have started this late (am on day 5 now) and have a question about the sit ups. When I do the sit ups I can hear the gurgling of water and bubbles in my tummy. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? It happens every time, and I feel like I need to burp or something to let the air out, but I can’t. Maybe I am doing the sit ups too fast? I have a history of bloating, so perhaps that is why? I look forward to your answer, because it has made this challenge extra challenging and I am not sure if I should continue with the sit ups.

      Talk to your doctor about it, Cassey can’t help you with medical issues. If you notice anything out of ordinary about your body when you start working out, make sure to consult your doctor as there might be an underlying issue.

      I will say that might be happening because your going to fast I did that yesterday and had the same symptoms so just try to slow down and don’t work out on a completely full stomach

    I’ve been doing the challenge but I missed day 7, so I was doing it with a day behind. And now I was going to do my final day and the app doesn’t let me open the challenge. Everytime i click on “start today” it goes back to the home page…

I started this challenge some days ago, but my phone doesn’t manage anymore to charge the videos where you explain the exercises singularly. I don’t know why, I think it could be caused by too many connections on the same video on the App. Is there another way to see them? Thanks, xoxo

    Sigh. I went to start my day 5 today, which I have been doing with the app, and I guess because the challenge is over it has reset all my progress? Now when I select ‘start now it just loops me back to the home section and I cannot select any of the individual videos or days within the challenge. Very frustrating to feel like I can’t continue half way through. I’ve encountered similar barriers in the app before and have only downloaded it once briefly in my 8 years of following you. I’m sorry, but it’s still not usable in my opinion. 🙁

    Hi Cassey, little suggestion for the app. I did the challenge but had to take a two-day break in between because life happened, but continued straight after and wanted to start day 9 today, but since the challenge ended it deleted all my progress and now i can’t access the videos to finish it up because the next challenge is set for april 1st. I’m just gonna continue regardless but it’s a little demotivating to not be able to finish it up in the app and more importantly have the videos as a guide for reps and stretches. So maybe it’s an idea to make it available to do the challenges in your own tempo? I know it’s a ten day challenge and all :p but sometimes other responsibilities tend to happen and getting it done in 12 days instead of 10 doesn’t feel like the end of the world.

    Hey Cassey, I have exercise induced VCD (Vocal Chord Disfunction) which makes it hard to breath and uncomfortable when doing some exercises. What are some exercises I can do in place of sit ups, crunches, and eagles?

    Hi Cassey,
    My name is Jessica and I accidentally logged out from the Blogilates app. I thought I remember my username and password but it say user not found.

    I have also tried recovering username by email and it also mention user not found. I actually subscribed for the yearly plan for the app so I am kinda confused and upset if I can’t access back the account.

    I actually created a new “account” but then realized all my previous records and statistics for the workout are all gone 😭.

    Can you help me this problem pls? I would like to get back my old account.

    And if I download this app on an iPad, do I have to pay another yearly fee to the premium exercises or it sync?

    Thank you for diminishing the number of other videos in the calendar while we are doing a gazillion more abs everyday. I at least let out a little sigh of relief only seeing one today after steeling myself for the 400 reps.

    Hi Cassie! Is there a way to change the start date of the challenge in the app? I did the first two days on my own, before realizing that the challenge was on the app. So today (day 3) I downloaded the app and tried to join the challenge, but it only gives me the option to choose today as day 1 even though I’m on day 3! It also won’t let me check off day 2 and day 3 because it thinks I started the challenge today. Not a huge deal but figured I would ask! Also thank you so much for putting this challenge on the app for free!!

    I wasn’t sure I wanted to be in before I did Day 1 of the challenge, not gonna lie. I really thought this would be impossible, but I’m super confident now. My abs will be SOOOO strong at the end of the challenge.

    Though, I wish Body by Blogilates would be available to use with your computer, much like the FitOn App, which is also available as a browser application. That would be just amazing. I really like using my laptop for workouts and ever since Youtube started showing random ads at the most inconvenient parts of the video I started hoping you’d consider trying that at some point.

    For now, I’ll just use my tablet for the challenge 😁

      Completely agree! Even with a pretty good new phone, the screen is too small to follow your movements properly, Cassey. It works way better on a laptop – so please could you make the app browser compatible. I love doing your workouts every day – but am nervous about the idea of a 1000 ab reps . . .

    I’m in. 🙂 I tried doing the 21 day challenge in January, and stopped early because I was just having a lot of stress and feeling bad about myself. But I picked it back up recently, and last night discovered that I can do a roll up. I haven’t been able to do a roll up since about 7 or 8 years ago! And this was only after about a month of doing about 15-20 min of pilates a day, I have noticed a big difference in how I feel, how strong I am, and even how my body handles bloat – I am recovering from it much faster than I normally do. I’m in a much better headspace now to tackle these challenges – I’m excited for them! 🙂

    First off, I am SOO IN !! This is absolutely and utterly INSANE and that’s totally why I want to do it
    BUT as many people around here said, i guess it would be a good idea for the whole challange to also be up on YouTube, so it can get to as many people (who can’t get the app) as possible
    Anyway, kudos to you Cassey for making us do such challenging (and absolutely crazy) workouts, so we can all get stronger together!!!

      I understand where you are coming from, but if all else fails, you can probably do it without videos, since the calendar/chart says what moves you have to do each day. I see where you are coming from though, because for me it is way easier to make it through a workout while doing it with a video. 😊😉
