These pancakes are awesome! I love how healthy and easy to make they are. They’re great as is, but sometimes I like to add a spoonful or two of flour, a dash of cinnamon, and some water. Cassey- you are such an inspiration to me!! I love your enthusiastic spirit and all of your recipes and workout videos/plans. You make it much easier for me to get motivated to exercise and to eat healthy food. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks for sharing another wonder recipe with us. I like this type of pane cake and it is easy to make this cake at home.
Natural Pancakes i like this favorite meal, thanks for receipe and beuatiful pic
This looks ah-may-zing! Thank you so much. I always have eggs and bananas at the ready, and love pancakes!
Hi, I just made these and they are very good! I’ll defiantly be making them again! For the nutrition facts, what would the suggested serving size be?
This is the best blog so far
thank you sooo much for this recipe!! i usually make pancake egg, banana with oats, but i dont really like it, but this one, ohhhh, thank you!! i ssoooo loving it and will definitely be my on the go breakfast!! keep it up!!
Does anyone know if I can substitute the banana with another fruit/vegetable? I have allergy
Try avocado or use basil leaves.
Loved the pancakes and the Cauliflower Margarita pizza OMG
Tried it. Loved it. Eat it all the time for breakfast!
how many pancakes are in one serving?
It depends on the amount of batter that you put in the pan.
What size pancake (i.e. 3”) and how many are considered 1 serving.? This makes a difference to those who are watching their sugar intake.
There’s no way those pics are of this actual recipe! I don’t see how just eggs & a banana would not turn out like that without any flour added…
They actually look like this 🙂 I know from experience cause I’ve made them many times already + they’re super yummy! My bf loved them too and made them for me as a breakfast to bed one morning ;D Give them a go, they’re very easy to make and great :3
She literally has a video of her making the pancakes, and they look like that. You should definitely give them a try. Easy 2 ingredient pancakes!
Hi Cassey! I love everything you are doing. I was wondering when you provide the nutritional info can you please add what the serving amount is (per cup or maybe in grams or ounces so we can weight out our portions accurately. Thanks so much 🙂
Is there a low cal/fat subsitifue for eggs I can use…? I’m allergic
Have you tried a flax egg? It’s a vegan substitute for eggs. For every egg you need, substitute in 1 tablespoon of ground flax seed with 3 tablespoons of water. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but maybe that could work?
I make these all the time with a little difference
1 tbsp flour or 1 tbsp ground oatmeal to keep it free
1 tsp baking powder
1 scant tsp cinnamon
frozen strawberries microwave till hot sweeten with agave nectar or stevia
or fresh berries mashed and sweetened with agave nectar or stevia top with a dollop of fat free whipped topping
I make these all the time…I add 1 tbsp flour or for free ppc I will grind 1 tbsp oatmeal and add that… It gives it a little more body and not as hard to flip…. I also only add 1 egg…1 tsp baking powder and 1 scant tsp cinnamon.. Baking powder gives it a little more lift and lighter pancake….
for the syrup I nuke frozen strawberries in the microwave and sweeten with stevia or agave nectar don’t have to use much as it is so sweet or I mash fresh strawberries and sweeten with stevia or agave nectar
Oh. Em. Gee. Indeed! Tried these just now, so so tasty, easy and quick to make and healthy too! I managed to share some with my boyfriend 😉 who was sceptical but wants more. Me too 🙂 Thank you Cassey!
I made them on Monday, they were on the beginners calendar and I thought why not? And they turned out so amazing!! It wasn’t very easy to make them as they basically burn within seconds, but they were soooo fluffy and soft (I made them in the mixer).. it was amazing. Thanks for sharing that recipe! 🙂
Hey, mine cooked quick too, a lower heat gave them golden rather than dark brown colour/black. It’s handy that they cook so quick 🙂
Can i eat these at a rest day or should i eat this only on a workout day ??
Hey Cassey and other Popsters!
I’m having SUCH a hard time making these! Every time I try, my pancakes look like scrambled eggs and not pancakes!
Are you mashing it enough? And are you making them small enough? I just do two teaspoons per pancake, otherwise I can’t turn them without destroying them!
Only two teaspoons for per? Would not it be making them tiny real pancakes are not that small tho
I too was having this problem Shana…then I decided to make it on an extremely slow and low fire, This solved my problem. Hope this helps.
You turn them quicker than you should wait until you see little bubbles..
My daughter just turned a year old and loves these pancakes. These pancakes almost melt in your mouth they are so easy to eat! I always have to triple the recipe for me and my 2 kids.
How long does it to make these if I don’t use the blender?
Mashing it all together with a fork also works and takes like 2 minutes.
Cassey! This banana pancakes are so amazing 😀 they taste great!! I love it!! :))
How many average sized pancakes does one banana make ?
I haven’t managed to make average sized pancakes, because they break up when you flip them. I do 2 teaspoons per pancake. 2 eggs 1 banana is perfect for me and I eat more than average
I love the recipe!! Thanks *-*
Hey I really need one help!
I was wondering does anyone know if i xoukd make this with flax eggs instead ?
Thank you! 🙂
I loved these so much I had to write about them.
ooooo!!!! thats very easy i gone tray this tacks for the video
aaaaaaa !!!! fiquei surprendido não sabia que podia fazer panquecas assim.
mas sou com 2 ingredientes mmm mas sem farinha elas ficam muito finas não ????
How many pancakes is one serving?
I like your ideas about reducing costs in the health care system is too good
How much is one serving?
I put honey on my pancakes! It is a natural sweetener and tastes better than syrup in my opinion 🙂
My problem with these is that they turned out to be a banana omelette! Did I do something wrong?
i put the eggs and banana in the blinder before cooking. maybe your mix was too chunky?
Anybody have ideas for toppings I could add to these? I’m trying to avoid the usual syrup, so I was thinking maybe peanut butter. If anybody has other ideas or has tried something that’s fairly healthy, let me know!
I put honey on my pancakes! It is a natural sweetener and tastes better than syrup in my opinion 🙂
I eat those pancakes always with banana, apple, blue berries or strawberry jam. It tastes amazing!!
I put cinnamon on my pancakes 🙂
Cinnamon and raisins mixed into the batter is heavenly! Although my friend does them with blueberries and says they’re great 🙂
I made these today and love them! I did add a pinch of salt, some cinnamon, and nutmeg. I was sure they’d come out eggy, but really didn’t…will make these oftem! Thank you!
I was after workout and very hungry when I saw this recipe and I thought I really have to give it a shot. And I did. First I was skeptical – no way this could taste great without any sugar or honey or something – but I tasted it and OMG! It is freaking awesome! I saved one pancake for my bf too – I ate the rest instantly xD – and he loved it too 😀 I’ll definitely do this as breakfast/dessert/on to go snack, thanks Cassey 😀
One of my favourite go-to’s! I’ve also got a great 3 ingredient pancake recipe on my healthy eating blog with a tutorial too!
Hi Cassey! I loved this recipe so much that I decided to include it in my blog, under the post My 10 Favorite Recipes of 2014. I have obviously given you all the credit, and linked it to this post 😉 I hope there is no problem with it, otherwise feel free to contact me 😉
I just made these on my blog so it would be great if you could check them out!
I tried the pancakes today. I followed the recipe and they turned out pretty good. The texture is nice, it’s fluffy, not at all like omelette, but not quite like a “real” pancake. I would suggest using a really ripe banana. Also you can add walnuts, almonds, raisins, cinnamon or oats. They are super filling too, all around great recipe.
However I can’t seem to stomach well the taste of cooked bananas, it makes me feel ill. That’s the sole reason why I probably won’t make these very often (I’ll make these probably only if I crave sweet pancakes really badly). That’s personal taste really.
But if you like the taste of cooked banana I say try it. Highly recommending!
I do not care for ripe bananas. But I tried your recipe using a banana on the firm side. Make sure you remove those dark threads on the banana; that’s where the overly ripe flavor comes from, I believe.
These were excellent. Reminded me of crepe suzettes; Fit for a king! Next time I will top with blueberries after they are done. I was able to get 5 4″ pancakes. Make sure you put a little of your oil on the pancake turner before flipping. If you have trouble flipping, let them cook a little longer, then try.Well worth the effort!! G’ma Jan
I have made this several times and my version has evolved to: 1 banana, 1 egg, 1/3 cup of oatmeal, 1 tbsp of ground flaxseeds, 1 tbps gr. walnuts. Very good, a little more substantial.
I love this recipe! So simple
Is all that pancakes under 250. Need reply
These are so tastey. I’m glad I gave them a shot. Made my morning. XD
I love these! They taste like real pancakes!
Sometimes I modify the recipe and add vanilla extract or cinnamon. I also add oat, which makes them thicker.
Next time I might throw in some blueberries. This recipe is easily varied
You know what I think would taste great? subbing the banana with avocado and using the pancakes to make grilled chicken sandwiches.
Made these today and I love them! Thanks Cassey!
I put a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter into the mixture to thicken it and they taste amazing!
Is there any way that I can make a huge batch on Sunday, freeze them, and microwave them through out the week? I’m super busy, especially breakfast time! Anyone know?!?!?
Never tried it but that sounds like it has potential to be gross. Maybe you can make the batter beforehand and just cook a few every morning?
I added a drop each of vanilla and almond extract and it was amazing!
I made this for the first time this weekend. Wow. I’m really impressed. I haved to say they probably aren’t the best tasting pancakes in the world but they are pretty good. And to be able to have pancakes for 250 calories is amazing! I added a little bit of natural grade A maple syrup to mine. Still less than 300 calories! and YUM!
Made these this morning for my before work out snack, and they were actually yummy…I added cinnamon and small bits of apple and they turned out really good! 🙂
was craving pancakes for lunch today but we had no flour . found this recipe (i already watch casseys videos) . easy , healthy and most importantly yummy xx
I just made these and they are AMAZING!! I added a bit of cinnamon to the mix and ate them with a bit of maple syrup drizzled on top and some blueberries. So good! I had a really tough time flipping them though, they were way too runny. They ended up looking more like scrambled eggs than pancakes. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I add an additional 1/2 banana. It seems to solve the problem.
I always add cinnamon to the mix which makes it more yummy and you need to make the pancakes small instead of making one huge one…..
I can’t believe I wasted a banana for this. Couldn’t even take a bite without gagging.
Hmm… I made one big pancake using half a banana and one medium egg, and it just turned into a banana flavoured omelette 🙁
Hmm… I made one big pancake using half a banana and one medium egg, and it just turned into a bands flavoured omelette. Any help?
You have to make them smaller than your average pancake 🙂 It took a few tries for me, but if you keep experimenting, you will eventually get it!
Mine didn’t turn out well at all, which is sad because Cassey’s pancakes look amazing. I have never been good at cooking though. Maybe I do something wrong?
Can confirm this recipe is delicious!!!! I added 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of vanilla essence, a pinch of salt and a tsp of coconut oil and they were gooooorgeous
thanks for the recipe!!!
These were amazing! Would it be possible to use just egg whites or one egg white one yolk?
Yep, you can use just egg whites or one egg white and one yolk. I usually use one banana and one egg white and they turn out just as good as when I used one egg white and one yolk. I’ve never actually used two whole eggs so I can’t tell you if the structure of the pancakes changes. But yeah, try different recipes to see which one works best for you 🙂
OMG! These are so good! Mine turn out to be super moist and end up falling apart while I am making them. I don’t know why D;
OMG these were so good! It was very interesting making these pancakes because while making them they smelled like eggs lol. But overall I loved it! I plan on making an adjustment to them and they will be perfect!
Make this recipe just makes me want to eat healthy EVERYTIME !
So good for a such easy thing !
These pancakes are like the most delicious thing ever! I ate them with some youghurt, honey and raspberries and it tasted amazing!!
Just made pancakes today first time. Didn’t use over ripe banana, just ripe. Mashed banana with a fork in one bowl. Beat 2 eggs with fork in another bowl, then added together. They were awesome! I cant have flour of any kind so have not been able to have pancakes for a very long time. (Maybe they were heavenly to me because of that reason?) I always ate my pancakes with peanut butter and syrup so maybe that’s why they didn’t have banana taste at all. I make my own maple syrup which s WAY cheaper than buying at store. I agree that they turn better when small. And I added about a 1/8 of all spice to my batter-great flavor. Recipe for maple syrup…… 2 cups brown sugar with 1 cup water in pan. Over low heat, bring to a slow boil. Boil up to 5 minutes as to how thick you like your syrup. 1 minute for runny syrup, 5 for thickest. Store in glass bottles in fridge…keeps very long time if you use glass. Almost as simple as the pancakes. Thank you for the recipe!! from someone who has a very hard time to find food to eat. (Not only allergic to wheat, but corn, chlorinated water and all chemicals) These pancakes are a Godsend!
These are great!! And I made some for my family and they love them too thanks so much for make this site and videos you are truly inspiring 🙂
mine tasted like banana and scrambled egges
I made these and in past they have turned out like a banana omelette. but today i mashed the banana super well, added a half scoop (just a little) of plain soy protein powder, and a teaspoon of oat bran and they turned out SO GOOOOOOOOODDDD omg. heat at 4.5 and i let it warm up before i poured. eating them with a huge bowl of raspberries and some walnuts…..soooooooo good
soooooo delicious, also amazing with drizzled honey when eating 🙂 thanks, Cassey!
I made some for the whole family, I used 2 large bananas, 4 eggs, a handful of oats, 1 tablespoon cinnamon (yes a tablespoon.. we love cinnamon) and drop of vanilla extract. Put this through a blender and cook it with oil. Serve with butterscotch syrup for added tastiness!
I just made these and they turned out grey! I ate about half and they were not good. I must have done something wrong. Don’t see how though!
I don’t know, why, since the ones I made were really yummy. Make sure to use a RIPE banana and I really love the addition of coconut oil when I’m cooking them. These pancakes are literally what I have every day now for breakfast! Just try again, when I first tried to make them, I used butter instead of coconut oil and I turned the stove on high right away and they didn’t turn out too good. It’s important to gradually increase the temperature of the stove and coconut oil was the best when I was making them.
This is my second time making them, and they turned out better <3
At first these came out as more of an omelet with banana flavour, and I could barely get three pancakes out of them. After a few tries, they became more and more delicious and even started looking like pancakes. Now I get 6 out of this recipe, they taste great! If you want them to be sweeter, add some chopped berries! Best pancakes I ever had, and I’m recommending them to everyone 🙂
Cynthia, did you do anything different each time?
These have been a HUGE hit! We’ve had them for breakfast almost every morning. Great with yoghurt and berry compote too. We’ve been buying the shop out of bananas now!
can not wait
Hi am 11 years old and am just literally making the pancakes NOW OMG can NOT WAIT to try them 🙂
ok, So I know this is crazy but I don’t like pancakes, but I like waffles cause they can be made crispy. Can I use all these pancake recipes to make waffles instead?
I mean they are pretty much the same thing anyway.
But if you want them to be crispy burn
Prancercise to Kina Grannis- I Could Be the One You Say Goodnight To
Made some today… My mom liked them… I did not. I don’t really like eggs so that messed me up. But if you like eggs this should work for you.
Tried to make these twice with terrible results. Instead of pancakes they come out like scrambled eggs. Think I will just stick to my regular pancakes 🙁
Mine too! It was hard to flip them…but I still enjoyed the taste :P.
I really loved the recipe. Make sure you don’t just turn the heat on maximum right away, gradually increase the temperature while they are cooking in the pan. I really thought the coconut oil added a great taste as well.
OMG!! so YUMMMMMMY, i really love it,easy And delicious <3
I love these pancakes.. I was just wondering if it is possible to freeze the batter?
I have tried making a big batch in advance but just end up eating them all straight out of the pan 🙂
Hey Cassey, I just made this recipe and it turned soooo good!!! Me and my parents love it.
Thanks a lot,
Rose ♥ :*
I’ve been making these for awhile, but I also like to add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix it up in the food processor. You can also use whipped egg whites to make it more fluffy! SO GOOD!
Am really looking forward to making these pancakes! Does anyone know if it’s OK to use olive oil instead, or can tell me what PAM is? Thanks 🙂
Keep it strong everyone 🙂
Yes when she says EVOO that stands for extra virgin olive oil. PAM is a non-stick cooking spray found in just about every grocery store.
I loved this recipe!! It’s honestly the only one I’ve gotten to work (I’ve also tried the Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon protein pancakes and both came out super runny). I wrote a post about it on my blog and linked everything back to here. Thanks so much for this recipe! I’m obsessed with making pancakes now. 😀
Here’s the link if anyone wants to check it out. (:
OMG yummmmm! I like to add 1/2 scoop of protein powder (this also replaces the egg yolks in mine so I only used 2 egg whites) and some cinnamon! They are delicious 😀
I´ve never eaten something for breakfast before School but now I have the perfect breakfast.
I was skeptical at first, but these are fantastic!! I added some honey to top mine off. So good! Can’t wait to make them all of the time!!
Hi, I made these but I added oatmeal and it was DELICIOUS!!!!
I made the pancakes and they didn’t come out anything like yours! 🙁
I’ve got a question which probably is been asked a few times but I couldn’t find it here.
I tried the pancakes with bananes but I didn’t like them. It didn’t taste good.
Can I replace the bananas with other fruits like strawberries oder other berries?
I wonder this too, but mainly because i’m allergic to bananas
Saw ur post all day on these. And it made me crave some! I finally made them as a midnight snack. Super delis! I hate bananas but these weren’t too bad, simple ingredients also! Love!
these were delish and i don’t normally like bananas! yummmmmmy
The key to making the pancakes flippable is to keep them bite-size! I’ve tried to make these over a dozen times and it definitely works the best when they’re kept small, as shown in the video.
Made these today! Easy & delicious! I added cinnamon, few drops vanilla & few chopped walnuts! Yum!!
That sounds delicious! I’ve made this a couple times, and while I like them just as they are, sometimes they’re a little too banana-y. I’ll have to give that a try though!
I tried making those some weeks ago and they turned out as wierd looking banana scrambled eggs. What did I do wrong 😀 ? I want mine to look that gorgeous, too..
I made them, but mine didn’t look so nice as yours, also, I got just few.
I mashed them really well, but when I wanted to turn them to the other side the mixture spilled all over the pan, so they didn’t have a shape, and were quite dark, but still tasty 🙂
Now I watched this video, but still don’t understand what I did wrong, any idea? 🙂
that happened to me too, but then I realized that you need to make them small, smaller than the palm of your hand, that way its easier to flip them, I made them like regular pancakes size and it was a huge mess, make sure you use a blender and not try to hand mix them because it wont work, good luck! it took me 2 tries to get them nice looking and tasty.
Going to make these for pancake day on tuesday. YUMMMMY
How do I get these passwords to see all the meals recipe’s??
hi cassie! i was just wondering, instead of mashing the bananas can i pop them in the magic bullet instead? thanks! xx
I just popped the banana and both eggs in my magic bullet — 15 seconds, and they’re ready for the pan! Turned out great.
I just made these! Absolutely loved them!
These look great!
How many pancakes are they meant to make?
And is the whole batch one serve? Lol
I just made these for my son and I. He is a picky picky water, and these were a hit! We spread a tiny bit of organic peanut butter and sugar free syrup on top. Needless to say, I will probably make these once a weekend for my family.
SOOOO I tried these this morning! Loved them! I made half of the batch with a little coconut flour added to thicken it up and see what happened and those also tasted wonderful! XD
I AM SERIOUSLY IN LOVE WITH THESE. I feel like i am cheating when i eat them because they taste sooooo good.
These were soooooo good!!! I Added some cinnamon and vanilla and used some ground flax and chia seeds as well!!
Looks superb!, will try this out for tomorrow morning w/ cinnamon. Thanks Cassey!
I am legitimately floored that this worked. I honestly thought this would taste like a banana omelette, but it was pancake perfection. Per suggestion of another commenter, I added a splash of vanilla, cinnamon, and just a half a tablespoon of flour to the mix. It was AMAZING.
Tried these today and they were awesome! Ended up adding about 2 tsp of flour just to thicken them, and vanilla for flavour. I love that they’re so flexible – you could add some natural peanut butter, strawberries or blueberries, even dark chocolate chips/shavings for a treat 🙂 Yum!
Love the simplicity of this! First time, I whipped these up as an evening snack for my daughter, who has celiac. We both loved them! Second time, I decided to experiment a bit. I added 3 tbsp of almond meal flour to the batter, then made some with sunflower seeds and some with semi sweet chips (ok bad, but…). The almond pancakes turned out firmer and thicker, of course. More like a typical pancake. Either way, since I don’t always have almond flour on hand, both ways were delicious! Love the idea. So easy and nutritious, I may never go back to the other way!
I tried these this morning and they were a sloppy mess. I added two more bananas to the mix hoping that would help but NO…. I completely wasted three perfectly good bananas and two eggs. I used my ninja to mix everything together but not so that the bananas were fully blended… I may attempt these again but with something to hold it together like protein mix or peanut butter.
Did you use 2 eggs per banana? I used 3 bananas and 6 eggs, mixed with my nutribullet and they were amazing.
I couldn’t make these either. They just don’t flip. I tried adding some flour too but it’s still not working. I make pancakes all the time and they become just fine. So I thought maybe it’s the banana. But after reading all of your comments, I must be doing something wrong. I wanted so badly to make these cause they’re so clean.
tried this yesterday and they were awesome. i just used 1 egg instead of 2 and low heat to make sure i didn’t end up with a banana omelette. really tempted to do this with my waffle iron sometime, although i’m not entirely sure it would turn out right…
Seriously I can’t understand how can this turn out wrong if it’s such a simple thing.. I mean, I know for sure its not about the consistency cause I make it ALL the time and it’s just perfect. Just put one banana and two eggs in a mixer, then mix, then cook
Don’t know for sure, but my estimation would be that the calories is for all of the pancakes. Think about it- bananas are usually around 100-120 calories each, and eggs are around 40-50 each. So 2 eggs + a banana would be around 250 calories.
For those of you who are wondering- just estimate calories based on the size of your eggs & banana. 🙂
Can anyone tell me what the serving size is?
These were soooo good! Gonna try with 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites next time though.I added cinnamon, blueberries& vanilla. Topped with honey, peanut butter & strawberries. Delicious thank you 🙂
This didn’t work. The bottoms were burnt and they wouldn’t flip over. There’s no consistency holding them together.
Im making healthy pancakes today but going to add in some oats and maybe blueberries:)
Tried these a second time, turned out mushy again, first time i used a magic bullet to mix, then took someones advice and did it by hand.. >.< they sound so good but it just doesnt work for me.
Tried these pancakes this morning with my own little twist an loved them! I added 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder and added a few blueberries to each pancake after pouring them into the pan. So delicious!
I tried this pancake, it came out to thin, pretty difficult to flip it over. However its a success, hubby loved it too. Thanks
The bad news is that these “pancakes” are terrible. Soggy texture yuk. But good news is, my dog loves them.
These are delicious! I really enjoy topping them with a drizzle of honey and cinnamon. Add a side of fresh fruit and you have the perfect breakfast :3
Wow, these are amazing. Mixed the ingriedients with my magic bullet and added some fresh raspberries and blue berries <3 love them !
This is delicious! My pancakes used to come out like an egg scramble but I recently bought a skillet from amazon for $15 and it finally came out like a PANCAKE. If you have a cheap, non stick or old pan and this recipe is not working, buy an actually cast iron skillet. It can be a cheap one but the pan really does make a difference…
I did this recipe and it quickly got burnt on 1 side and it wasn’t moulding together so i cld flip it. Has this happen to anyone else??
I couldn’t flip it
Same here, I can’t flip it either!!
Oh my gawwd. I was kind of afraid to make these, but after blending the ingredients and adding just a drizzle of honey to the final product I am so amazed! I had no problems with mine being too “eggy” or anything like that. They looked and felt like cute little pancakes and were absolutely delicious!
I was able to use a hand mixer and get a really smooth batter. I added the dash of cinnamon and a tiny scoop of all natural peanut butter (the more liquidy kind) and the taste is great. Do you think I could put this batter in a waffle iron?
Superdelicious!!! I used 2 eggs plus 1 and a half banana plus cinamome.
I tried this out today, but I did half the recepie (1 egg+ 1/2 banana) and it made 2 small pancakes! perfect to have with maybe some fruit, or yougurt. I added a bit of baking powder, so it growed more. Loved this recepie! turned out PERFECT to me! thanks cassie!
PS: If you are having trouble with it, make sure that while you are cooking it, spred a bit of oil on the edges 🙂 it helps 😀
So just made these, turned out as banana scrambled eggs really.. I topped them with some yoghurt, granola and dry fruit. Still tastes good even though its not a pancake!
you probably need to use a skillet if you are not using one already,..I did this is a frying pan and it was not working for me as well….
Hey I was just wondering if i made these how many would a serving count for? the whole batch or one pancake??!?!

So I found a way to keep these from being too “eggy”; I simply whipped them up in a food processor so the bananas were smooth and evenly distributed. The problem I’m having now is I can’t get them to set well enough to make them flippable. They always fall apart when I try. Oh well, they taste lovely and that’s all that matters to me in the morning.
Hi Lisa! I haven’t tried this yet, but maybe you can go to 1.5 bananas to the two eggs and that might make it less eggy, and if its too weird keeping half a banana you could make one with 3 bananas and four eggs and save half of it for next time 🙂
Just did, ate and loved it! I added some cinnamon too and it tasted delicious! I’ll try to add apple next time, hope it works! Thanks for your amazing job, you really help people up! Kisses from Brazil!
Yum! I added cinnamon, nutmeg and for the second half cocoa powder and they were delicious! Really recommend the cocoa if you are looking for that chocolate taste and want to cover some of the egg taste. The cinnamon and nutmeg also helped cover up.
Tried them today; they turned out more like omlettes than pancakes, but they’re very tasty. I added 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and had 1 tangerine with them. Yummy.
Not pancakes, more like omelettes, but they taste great! There’s absolutely no way to flip these so mine turns into a big mess or mush but they really did taste good.
Tried this for the 1st time and made sure the banana really blended into the eggs. I had no trouble cooking them. They came out looking like pancakes and they tasted like fried plantain to me =). I had one pancake that had an eggy aftertaste but the rest of the pancakes were enjoyable and guilt free lol. My husband said it tasted like bananas so he didnt taste the egg. A cheap and healthy treat! I love these simple and healthy alternatives.
What if i don’t have coconut oil?
I’ve tried to make these 2x and they never came out looking quite like pancakes, but they were delicious, nevertheless.
The first time, I just followed the recipe she gave. The second time though, I blended the batter with a few chocolate chips and a spoonful of peanut butter. YUM!
here’s my attempt for re-creating this recipe! I love it! Thanks for sharing recipes for clean eating.
Just made these! Sooo good! I added a dash of cinnamon to mine though
I’m gonna try this!!!! I really love bananas and one is in the right way to be perfectly ripe for this recipe.
ok so i may have not done mine right or it was a mental thing, but mine were just banana omelettes when i tried to make these 🙁 maybe i didn’t squish the banana well enough? or expected it to be too much like a pancake? im a college student living on my own so i cant exactly afford a blender so i tried to mash everything up to the best of my ability T.T should i try again and maybe correct what i did wrong? i want so hard to love these :'(
These are so good! I didn’t add ANYTHING, and I’m still wanting more!
Hmmm… what if i’m allergic to bananas? :/
Then don’t look up recipes with banana in them?
awe sorry you’re allergic to bananas 🙁
I just tried this recipe, I also added some milled flaxseed with gojiberries, sunflower seed and pumpkin seed and it turned out delicious! Thanks a lot for sharing!
I have to try this!
I tried these this morning and they were really good! I was skeptical at first because I couldn’t believe that they would be easy and good, but they definitely were! I added some cinnamon and a little bit of vanilla, and topped them with some honey. They were a huge hit at my house! Thanks so much for the recipe!!
That sounds even better! haha deff going to try spicing it up with vanilla and cinnamon. I HATE the taste of banana!
OOO I do like the idea of honey 🙂 thanks for sharing!
These were really good when I ate the first pancake…but then after that.. I dreaded looking at them (0.0) No offense to Cassey at all! I just thought it was too eggy for me… 😛
add 1/8 teaspoon baking powder to mix to make it rise
i thought that way too! im not an egg person at all, sorry cassey! i use 1/2 a cup of oatmeal instead of the egg. i put it in my food processor to make it into a flour, then i add in the banana! its soooo much better! give it a try and tell me what you think (and be honest!!)
are better with 1 or 2 tbsp of whole wheat flour. more pancakey.
Hahah i made these and they looked like extra floppy omelettes. Tasted banana-like, but it didn’t feel like pancakes.
add 1/8 teaspoon baking powder to mix to make it rise and be more pancake like
Try blending the ingredients well before, because when I made it like that they came out looking and feeling like little round pancakes.
Hi. Just wondering, does 1 serving mean 1pancake or the whole batter you get from this amount of ingredients? Thanks.
whole batter 🙂 it should make about 3-4 pancakes depending on size
These pancakes were really good. I added dark chocolate and Cinnamon to mine and it was delicious. The thing I like the most about this recipe is it’s only 2 ingredients and I always have eggs and bananas at my house, the problem i have with most healthier recipes is i dont have all the stuff to make it and that it takes longer to cook so this is perfect! so next time I’m craving a quick sweet snack I’ll definitely be making these 🙂
I like to make extra regular pancakes and freeze them for a quick weekday breakfast. Has anyone tried that with these? Do they hold up well?
I like to make extra regular pancakes and freeze them for a quick weekday breakfast. Anybody try that with these? Do they hold up okay?
These pancakes were amazing! The only thing is mine fell apart, they were too soft. I changed up the recipe a little, instead of two eggs I only used one and I also used some vanilla essence (1tsp) and some cinnamon. Next time, i’m planning on using a banana and a half so that the mixture is thicker, this recipe got me about 2 – 3 pancakes. These are pretty sweet already from the banana so you won’t need any maple syrup or anything. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT, delicious! xx
I added cinnamon!! Yum 😀
this pancakes are soooooo awesome!!! it so yummy!!! i cant believe i waited till this day just to try it!
I could believe that these actually tasted like pancakes! I added a bit of cinnamon and vanilla to enhance the flavor. Wow! Thanks for the recipe!
Wow Casey, I’ve gotta hand it to you! I was sceptical at first thinking it would taste bland and too eggy, but they turned out amazing and exceeded my expectations! So incredibly quick and easy to make too! I modified mine a bit though which could have helped with the taste and texture. I mixed a bit of honey and cinnamon in with the mashed bananas, I put in one whole egg and the egg white of another egg, then I put in a small tablespoon of sifted flour in (naughty I know, but it was only a little bit!) Then walla! Tip: make sure to only pour a small amount of batter each time into the pan because the bigger I made them, the harder they were to flip. Thanks again Casey! 🙂
Hi Cassey…..thank you for this amazing recipe. Unfortunately, I had to stop having them as I developed bad intolerance to eggs. But I did come up with an alternative. High protein vegan pancakes. Here is the link to them 🙂 http://www.rulesofdieting.com/high-protein-vegan-pancakes/.
what do you put on top of them?
I wonder if I could do this in the microwave.
Hey Cassey, the pancakes were delicious!! million thanks to you! of course every one was kind of “ugh how can u eat that?” and I was ” um, this is exactly the cake I made for all of you except the flour!”… I loved it!

These are soooo good! I’ve made them many times now :)! Sometimes I even use just one big egg and they still come out fine. I like putting peanut butter on top 😀
Can you make this recipe into waffles? How many Belgian waffles would it make?
I remember making these for my babies!! They’re 20 and 12 now!! I had totally forgotten, thanks for reminding me! And for adult tastes, chopped walnuts and a bit of nutmeg…. oooh la la!!
Can i also mix the banana or do i have to mash it?
Mixing also works – I tried. 😉
These are SO yummy and ridiculously easy!! 😀
How many does this recipe make?
I wonder if you can make these with egg whites instead of a whole egg. I’m not a big fan of eating the yolk because it’s so high in cholesterol.
yes I’ve made them with egg whites only, turned out great 🙂
Eating foods high in cholesterol does not give you high cholesterol. Only about 15% of the cholesterol we consume actually gets absorbed by our bodies. Triglyceride raises are often contributed to the bodies inability to tolerate carbohydrate. Don’t skip the yolk! A whole egg is one of nature’s perfect foods.
no food is perfect
I adore these. I’m making them a second time on Sunday morning. I’ve decided to serve them with Cassey’s banana ice cream as well and just 1 tsp of honey. Mmm can’t wait!
Hi! I need help! I want to try the recipe, but I’m allergic to bananas. What can I do?
Then don’t make the recipe. Duh.
Try sweet potatoes instead of bananas. Just as yummy.
you could try unsweetened applesauce as well!
I figured i’d make these for my 3 yr. old because he happens to love both bananas and pancakes.. Fortunately he liked them even though I found them to be hideously disgusting.
I am sure this post has touched all the internet people, its really really nice article on
building up new web site.
OMG these blew my mind. For those of you saying they’re bland, add some cinnamon and what I did was mix up some PB2 (powdered PB) with a little extra water to give it a drizzling consistency and then covered them with it. Only an extra 45-60 cals and tastes like heaven. Will be doing this until I’m sick of bananas 🙂
So yummy, thank you!
Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the
pictures on this blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the
blog. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I was so sorely dissapointed in these. I’ve been waiting to try them for weeks. I was very careful to mash the banana fully, and even drizzled a little honey on top but to me it tasted like a banana omelet. I also had difficulty with the spongey texture. I may try them again with a little tweaking, but next time I want two eggs and a banana, I’ll likely be having them separately.
you should add oat flour. I did that and it made them fluffier and easier to flip
Make sure you mash up your banana entirely, or it will be too eggy, and gross! One batch is too much for me, surprisingly! I like to munch & I’m still growing!
I add a tablespoon of brown sugar and a little almond meal and they taste like heaven! Cook on low heat though otherwise the outsides will burn really quickly and the insides won’t cook 🙂
If you have an egg allergy, is there an alternative way to make these?
Try to use just banana a skip the eggs all together. It tastes divine with even less calories.I do mine in dehadrator to keep the enzymes alive, but they are just as good on frying pan ;o) Hope it helps. Enjoy!
Another option is to mix together 1 tbsp ground flax seed and 3 tbsp warm water per egg that you wish to replace, let it sit for 5 minutes or so until it forms a gel-like consistency, then mix in the mashed banana. The flax & water combination is a popular egg substitute for baking. You may need to add a bit more flax or a bit more water to get just the right consistency. Good luck!
I agree with the flax thing, but also, you could use CHIA to get the same effect. If you don’t know what chis is, look it up, it is AMAZING!
I have allergy to eggs too, so I came up with an alternative – using soy protein. Have a look at my recipe http://www.rulesofdieting.com/high-protein-vegan-pancakes/. Hope it helps 🙂
How many pancakes are in serving? 🙂
Incredible! What I did was I added some cinnamon into the batter, drizzled it with honey in the end and then put some fruit with it. Great even though I took them off the pan too early. Must have this again!
What is the serving? Is the whole recipe one serving?
I’m pretty sure that one batch= one serving. eggs are about 80ish calories each and a banana is about 100 calories. so i’m guessing that that’s correct.
Just made these. Yummy! Make them small, they are easier to flip that way. 🙂
I really want to try these out. Only thing is eggs have a lot of cholesterol, so I guess this will be something I eat sparingly.
How much is a serving
Eggs doesnt have THAT much cholesterol. It is the junk oils and other sugars people consume that are causing your arteries to clog up. I eat 12 eggs a week and my cholesterol came down by eating butter, coconut oil and lots of red meat. Read Mark Sisson website, eat like a cave girl. Iwill definitely try this recipe. Looks yummm!
There’s a difference between blood cholesterol and dietary cholesterol. Eggs contain a lot of dietary cholesterol, but that isn’t going to cause you to have more cholesterol in your blood. Blood cholesterol comes from other things.
(And besides, you want a ton of one kind of cholesterol–High Density Lipoprotein–because that helps strengthen your cell membranes.)
i add a little bit of natural honey and they taste really amazing. i eat them every saturdasy morning.
These were delicious. I was very skeptical. I will admit that. But they were fantastic! I used a little omega light butter and light syrup…they’re a lot like Swedish pancakes.
I really could read about this all day!! We hope you own an RSS
feed I’m able to subscribe to. I had recently been searching throughout the web site with respect to material relating to e-readers at walmart.
How many pancakes are in a serving?
Thanks regarding supplying many of these terrific information.
i haven’t got a lot of money to spend cause i spent loads already on other stuff, so how could i make/buy a Sally costume?.
That’s crazy amazing! I’m totally trying this today! ^ ^ Cassey, I just love what you do, posting awesome recipies, workouts, and promoting good health through eating and exercise. You are the first person to actually motivate me to start eating healthy and start exercising. Since my parents don’t let met out of the house to run since they think I’ll get kidnapped, I started doing your videos and also some other yoga videos, and the results are showing. I’m forcing my mom to buy healthy foods now too. I totally turned into a health nut now thanks to you. Way to go girl! 😉
Is there any other fruits you could use to make these with? I’m not the biggest fan of bananas, and when I tried them, I was hoping you wouldn’t taste the banana too much but I did. Thanks!
Greetings, I do believe your web site could possibly be
having browser compatibility problems. When I take a look at your site in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in IE, it has some overlapping issues.
I merely wanted to provide you with a quick heads
up! Apart from that, great website!
I made these this morning, and they were delicious (with some cinnamon in the batter and a big of sugar-free strawberry jam on top!), but very, very difficult to make – because I didn’t have any non-stick spray. Seriously, do not even attempt if you’re trying to use real olive oil + a not-so-good pan. My summer sublet doesn’t have very good cooking supplies, haha…will try again when I go buy a spray can of something.
these are soooo good! my whole family was skeptical when i wanted to make them, but after i did they were so amazed…and all the pancakes were gone within minutes (after 3x the recipe)
These are my go-to snack when I’m out of ideas. Love them! Personally, though, I find them a little bland, so I add in half a teaspoon of cinnamon, Splenda, and vanilla extract. I’ll also throw in a dash of baking soda to make them fluffier, and then I’ll drizzle them with honey!
Hi there are using WordPress for your blog platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to
get started and set up my own. Do you require any html coding expertise to make your own blog?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! I have tried these and they are super tasty 🙂 I also added some baking pulver and cinnamon. Yum!
OMG this is the first time I’ve cooked (not including spaghetti and noodles) and I couldn’t believe how easy it was , since this is the first time I made by myself (with help from u ofcourse) ^^ I was so proud I actually saved one of the pancakes for my mom so she can try it when she gets home
even though the flipping didn’t go so well, the pancakes were still awesome <3
Thx so much for posting this recipe online ^^
I tried these out this morning. It’s probably the first time in a long time that I have willingly tried something that was so egg based (I don’t like eggs by themselves).
These were really good. I wasn’t getting enough protein in my breakfast, and these beat eating sausages that are always a bit greasy.
I had trouble flipping them over especially since I use an iron cast pan and really don’t want to use a non-stick pan.
From the tips I have seen, it looks like I need to add oil to the pan every time I make a new batch and then make the pancakes around the edges of the pan. I was making the pancakes in the middle of the pan at first. I will try again on Sat.
At Easter, eggs should take centre stage on all tables.
It may also serve as flavor enhancer and protein supplement.
4 Healthy Additions to Your Favorite Cookie Recipe.
I like these better when I think of them as ‘banana crepes,’ rather than a pancake. They are delish with peanut butter in them. I’m thinking fruit and cheese next!
These were incredible, I made a bigger batch (for me and my dad) with 2 bananas and three eggs plus a little vanilla and cinnamon. I had to let them sit a while on low heat so they cooked properly, but they flipped nicely.
I’ve read all these comments about pros and cons of this recipe,so I was a little hesitant to make these. But I wanted to try and do them myself and have my own opinion. I gotta say that was one of the best decisions I made, because pancakes turned out just delicious!(even though I used only one egg and added a cinnamon) So cook them and don’t listen to haters, you won’t regret that 😉
I used about a tablespoon of ground flax seed to hold the batter together a bit more. They came out great!!!! I used a little blue agave nectar as syrup… and they were wonderful 🙂
I don’t know if pancake is the right description for these…I felt like they tasted more like french toast! Yum! They were a little difficult to flip, so I think next time I might try to add a bit of flour to help.
What i don’t realize is if truth be told how you are not really much more neatly-preferred than you might be now. You’re very
intelligent. You recognize therefore considerably in the case of this topic,
made me in my view consider it from so many various angles.
Its like men and women aren’t involved except it is one thing to accomplish with Lady gaga! Your individual stuffs great. At all times deal with it up!
These were easy enough to make for those like myself who are culinary challenged yet they turned out perfectly. I added chia seed for protein and omega 3 and also a little bit of honey. The pancakes are delicious and I’ve had them numerous times this week!
Thank you to you for this article provides practical and valuable info!
The calorie chart is the real asset of this article, keep it up! congratulation
I’ve been wanting to make these since I first saw the post awhile back but I completely forgot about them until one of my roommates ate my food. I just made them right now and even though they don’t look like the pic, they are delicious!!! I did add some cinnamon and a tiny bit of vanilla. It is challenging to flip them, but it just takes patience and PAM! They don’t even need any kind of syrup, I just put some smart butter on them and they were good to go! A new fav =)
I used one egg and some cinnamon. They turned out great! I think next time I make them I’ll try two eggs, that might work better. They’re very sweet. I was planning on using some honey as “syrup” but I didn’t need it at all!
These were hugely disappointing. They absolutely would not flip and just broke into pieces; even after I let one sit for 10 minutes on medium heat, it still wasn’t cooked through. And the taste was exactly like one would expect- they just tasted like egg and banana. I get that people want super healthy and easy recipes, but this is taking it too far, there is no way these can be called pancakes.
Did you try to make one big one? I suggest you make small ones around the edges of the pan if you only have a big pan to use. Just pour areas of the dough around the sides of the pan so that the pancakes dont connect with each other, wait til they get solid and flip.
I’ve had absolutely no problem flipping them while making them like this, so I hope it works for you. They taste gorgeous when you get a little colour on them. For me they taste like pancakes, absolutely delicious.
Sorry Cassie,what does PAM mean?
It’s a cooking spray.
its a cooking spray that you put on a pan or skillet or grill so that whatever you’re cooking doesnt stick!! 🙂
I used one egg, a very well mashed banana and some ground oats and it worked perfectly 🙂 Don’t write off a recipe straight away, give it a few goes and change the recipe to suit you!:)
Hi, just wondering, roughly how many pancakes does this recipe make? 🙂 Love the recipe by the way- sounds great- I may try it with Greek Yoghurt! X
I got 3 large pancakes! Pretty yummy, I added some cinnamon.
I made this for hubby and I this morning and they were Fabulous! The only thing I added was a splash of vanilla. Thank you so much for the recipe. My whole house still smells like bananas. I can’t wait to try them on my grandsons.
YUM! I also added about 2 TBS gf flour, a teaspoon and a half of cinammon and a dash of vanilla extract. easiest brunch ever.
These were so delicious, you must try them! I added some cinnamon, walnuts, and a teensy bit of vanilla. They come out a little smushed if you make them too big…What I did was made them a little smaller, but also put a lid on the pan so that the top side would cook a bit, making them easier to flip. While I was cooking them, I realized you could also use this recipe to make a pancake omelette, stuffed with all sorts of yummy goodies. I’m definitely trying that next time!
Hello There. I found your blog using msn. This is an extremely
well written article. I’ll be sure to bookmark it and come back to read more of your useful info. Thanks for the post. I will definitely comeback.
I’m looking forward to make these on saturday as listed on beginners calendar. I just would stay away from the nasty polynsaturated fats (veggie oils) and use some butter or extra virgin coconut oil instead. 🙂
Like most posters, the batter was a too runny. I added some oats to thicken it a tad and they worked out perfectly. I also added cinnamon as suggested and topped the finished pancakes with fresh passion fruit. They were delicious!
Just made these for breakfast today and they are quite tasty!!! I added a tsp of pure vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon. The next time I make them I will prob add some coconut flour to the mix to give it a bit of bulk because I ruined my “pancakes” trying to flip them and was left with a bunch of mashed up pancakes pieces that were still delicious! Thanks for posting this yummy recipe!
OMG! So GOOD!!! I just made these pancakes for b-fast & I love, love, love them! I changed it up just a bit, I used the 2 whole eggs, the banana, about 1/2 C. rolled oats, a tsp. vanilla paste and I topped the pancakes while they were cooking in the pan with chopped walnuts. For topping i used a tsp. of powdered sugar sprinkled over the top and some cinnamon. WOW. Sinfully delicious!!!!
I’m allergic to gluten, so I can’t wait to try these! I also use coconut flour in my pancakes, tastes really good too! 🙂
OMG i just made this pancakes.. so delicious!! i only had a little problem.. it was hard to flip them 🙁 but still awesome
I just made these and I am in love with them!
Super easy to make, I even added some cinnamon to the mixture.
I noticed when I read other peoples reviews that they had trouble flipping the pancakes, what I found helped was making the pancakes small so that it fit on the spatula better and was easier to flip.
I tried these and they were a huge dissapointment. I should have added flour like another person stated. Not really Iike pancakes at all. More like banana scrambled eggs.
For those who cannot flip it, what helped me is using two spatulas at the same time, and then flipping both over towards me quickly. After two failed attempts, this helped me create letters. I dont have that much trouble flipping small circular ones though. Great recipe <3
Hi! Do you use Twitter? I’d like to follow you if that would be ok. I’m undoubtedly enjoying your
blog and look forward to new posts.
Yes, she is on twitter @blogilates
These pancakes are SOOOO good!!! I actually added a bit of flour to my batter because at first it was quite runny and hard to flip. The flour solved the problem and made the pancakes much easier to flip. Still healthy, still delicious, still wonderful! Thanks Cassey!
Made these for breakfast and they were a huge sucess ! I added some cinnamon and put some prume syrup on them with some fruit and its so delicious!
Hello i am kavin, its my first occasion to commenting anywhere, when i read
this article i thought i could also create comment due to this sensible post.
Thank you, I have just been looking for info about this
subject for a while and yours is the greatest
I have discovered so far. However, what in regards to the bottom line?
Are you sure about the source?
Delicious but the recipe makes the batter pretty runny. I had to use 2 spatulas to flip the pancakes.
so excited to make these!!!
I am a coeliac (= i cant eat gluten)
so seeing something this interesting/yummy/easy is unusual & very welcome!
Only tried with 2 eggs and a banana. Was expecting it would be easy. But is it because of the banana that made mine pancakes not as light as Cassy’s?
Made these today for lunch, they were a hit! Added a touch of vanilla, a pinch of sea salt, a touch of cinnamon and topped with a few drops of organic honey when they were done.
JUST MADE THESE OMG SOOOO DELICIOUS AND COOKS SO WELL!! then i got all experimental wanted to ad peanut butter so bad but didn’t want the extra sugar and stuff so opted for 100% pure pumpkin (not pumpkin filling) it gave it a great texture and was an easier way to handle, I added about a full tablespoon OMG they were great!!
so delish will try again
look in your local Walmart (most walmarts have it) in your peanut butter section there is a product called walden farms whipped peanut butter spread. it has no calories nothing in it. that may solve the extra sugar problem
Just made these – I only used one egg and added a sprinkle of dried lavender to the batter, then drizzled with honey and served with orange wedges. So yummy!
very nice pancakes thanks
Just tried this and it is sooo good!!! I only used one egg and topped my mini cakes with some reduced fat natural peanut butter! soooo tasty!
Can you freeze them in? So I don’t have to make them every morning?
Right here is the right website for anyone who would like to
understand this topic. You know a whole lot its
almost tough to argue with you (not that I actually will need
to…HaHa). You certainly put a brand new spin on
a subject which has been written about for a long time.
Excellent stuff, just great!
They are delicious, but practically impossible to flip. Mine turned into scrambled banana eggs. Frustrating. Unless I didn’t do something right, I won’t be trying this again.
Hey! I definitely had the problem too… I found that if i let them cook a little longer, they flip easier. You can try spraying the pan in between batches too! Good luck 🙂
Along with cooking them longer, you might have to make them a bit smaller if you poured them out to be a bit big. With different recipes like these, you definitely have to be mindful of the size so that you can control it with a spatula more.
Pureeing the banana makes the batter a lot smoother and easier to flip. Putting a lid on top of the pancakes while they cook also makes it a lot less of a challenge, since the top of the pancake cooks as well. As the other two commenters said, greasing the pan in between batches makes things more manageable, along with making little mini cakes instead of regular sized ones.
Hope that helps. (:
I tried these before, with two eggs and it was good, but I liked it even better when I only put one egg in my next batch. Putting one less egg made them a lot softer, and I tasted the banana more. But overall, I really like the recipe, it’s amaaaazing!
Hey i was just wondering, how much is the serving size? Is it for one pancake or for the whole batch? thanks!
It should be the whole serving; one average egg is around 70-80 calories, and the banana would be around 100 depending on the size. Altogether it would equal about 250 as it’s listed (non-stick cooking spray are mostly calorie-free).
I visited various web sites however the audio
feature for audio songs present at this web site is truly excellent.
Try adding a tsp or so of cocoa powder. It makes the pancakes less soggy and deliciously chocolately! Can’t go wrong.

These were really good! I only used one egg though. I added cinnamon, and some vanilla! They definitely aren’t like regular pancakes, but they are pretty darn close. I am type 1 diabetic so I jumped on this as soon as i saw there was no sugar, and about half the carbs of regular pancakes. Glad I found this recipe! 🙂
Just made this. I only used one large egg and added cinnamon (and topped with shredded coconut and a little light syrup). It came out a little soggy, and they were very hard to flip. I can’t imagine using two eggs. Next time, I think I’ll just do the same thing I did this time but make it like scrambled eggs instead of pancakes. The flavor is amazing! If you’ve ever had fried plantains, it’s a lot like that. It’s definitely worth playing around with to get it right.
Aw, this was an extremely good post. Taking a few
minutes and actual effort to generate a very good
article… but what can I say… I hesitate a lot and never
manage to get nearly anything done.
i made these this morning since they seemed sooo simple. but instead i used one egg and replaced the other with an egg white because of cholesterol purposes. so i started to make it and was like, “wow! its starting to look like a pancake!!!” but when i ate it, it was egg fluffy with a bit of banana. i know. DUHH. its banana and egg but they looked so pancakey i figured they taste like em. but oh well! i still thought they were tastyyy but not in a pancakey way
I wasn’t quite sure how good these would be, I mean two ingredients, no sugar? But they were really tasty. Easy to make and very easy to dress up. While they would still be amazing with just the two ingredients, I added cinnamin, flax seed, some crushed almonds, and just a dash of salt. Very filling and good. I will most certainly make these again!
Cassey!! Just had these this morning and they were amazing!!! Genius idea. And so healthy. I was so pleased 🙂
We’re a group of volunteers and opening a new scheme in our community. Your web site provided us with valuable info to work on. You’ve done an
impressive job and our entire community will be thankful to you.
Made these exactly as specified, very ripe mashed banana, 2 beautiful pastured eggs. Tasted like a flat banana omelette. SAVED by adding 2 TBS of coconut flour, a dash of cinnamon and a dash of vanilla extract. Served with walnuts, blueberries and organic maple syrup. My eggs were very large, so maybe that was the problem, but at least it was salvageable and tasty in the end!
WOW!! i JUST had these, they were easy peasy to make and PACKED with banana flavor! The person that commented before me said they used a frozen banana and egg whites. Maybe that’s why it didn’t work?? I just mashed the ripe banana on a plate with a fork really really well, then put the banana in a bowl and cracked two whole organic eggs in. Whipped it well with a fork and poured small ladle fulls onto a hot greased griddle. Remember, it’s eggs! So flip it within a minute. I found once they were cooked enough on the bottom and didn’t rip just FLIP over and cook for a few more seconds on the other side. Take them off when they have the markings like regular pancakes…..Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Thanks for the recipe!!!!
Tried these this morning and man, they were tough to make! I usually don’t have a difficult time trying new recipes, but these just turned out pretty terrible. I used 2 egg whites and a banana (which was frozen). I do want to try these again, because I think they can be good. Next time I will try cooking on a lower heat (so the sugar in the banana doesn’t burn too quickly), 2 egg whites, a non-frozen banana, and add 2 tablespoons of flax seed. We’ll see if that prevents them from becoming a soggy, burnt mess
I thought about adding flour too but they worked good! Maybe without the yolk it just isn’t the same??? Let us know if you try it the way you are going to next and whether it worked or not 🙂
Oh my gosh, so many negative comments for such a delicious recipe! I mashed my banana with a potato masher and then wisked in the eggs. I used a large spoon to pour the batter into a well greased (with coconut oil) cast iron on medium low heat. I also made sure the bottom of the pancakes were clearly set before flipping. It took a bit longer to cook (about a minute to minute and a half on the first side) but the combo of smaller size, lower heat and solid base made flipping easy! As far as the “eggy” taste, make sure the banana is very ripe! I find when making pancakes with bananas, having them a little before “over ripe” does the trick – lots of flavor and the heat brings out the sweetness.
Note: the texture will be different than flour pancakes! But once you get over that, it’s an amazing recipe, will definitely be making these again!
It has been also said to have good properties for healthy teeth, skin, hair, and high in other vitamins and
minerals. It must be the clever combination of rooibos and vanilla.

These are delicious! I just made some and it tastes just like a regular pancake. I don’t like banana but I like this! Good with a little whip cream and berries on top 🙂
I got super curious so I tried them this morning… THEY’RE DELICIOUS!
Eating these as we speak, and they’re absolutely delicious. Only problem is that they’re more like pancake chunks than pancakes, since they didn’t exactly flip very nicely. At all. They’re too delicious to give up, though, so I swear I will perfect this.
For those of you having problems flipping the pancakes, it’s probably because the batter is too lumpy. Banana tends to do that. I used a fork to mix this, but next time I’ll use a whisk and see if I get better results. A mixer might be a good idea as well.
Another thing to note is that I only used one egg to avoid having an overall egg flavor in my pancakes. I imagine using two eggs would make for more easily flipped pancakes. I also added some cinnamon and a dash of sugar for more flavor.
I make these every weekend! Soooo good. The key is to only use one egg 😉 Eating some right now cept this time I added some orange extract, blueberries, and coconut flakes 🙂 mmm!
Yes! Finally something about blog.
I actually make these cakes with butternut squash instead of bananas as I cannot eat fruit and I actually hate bananas! LOL… I recommend you try the butternut squash version and let me know what you think! 🙂
How did you use butternut squash to you cook it first? Or not at all? and do you know the nutrition facts for that?
AGREE!! Please respond Id love to know too, Im not a huge fan of the banana bread flavor
I’m thinkin’ the squash would have to be cooked first so it’s easy to mash?
haven’t tried these yet. wonder if making them in a waffle iron would do the trick to everyone having trouble flipping.
I’m gonna make this pancakes more! they are delicious and I’m gonna take them to school! haha!! absolutely lovely!!
What is 1 serving? Is it one pancake or…??
I believe they mean the amount of pancakes you get from 1 banana and 2 eggs (:
Totally love your site & I’m trying to “turn over a new leaf” and live a healthier life. I love your workouts, you’re hilarious and keep things fun. And first time today, tried this recipe. Unfortunately, the pancakes did not turn out. So turned it into scramble, added about a tablespoon of feta cheese & a teaspoon of honey. Omg, to die for. So thanks for the idea and can’t wait to try the rest of your recipes
– This is fabulous! Breakfast is interesting again 🙂
– I cut up the green ends of scallions and add them to make a wonderful pancake that is a bit more savory, nicely balancing the sweetness of the bananas. I also found that cooking at a lower heat for a longer time creates a nicely browned crust that can be flipped more easily.
– Here’s a crazy hint for flipping: slip the spatula under the pancake under all edges, gently lift up while inhaling and just before you flip – hold your breath! Not quite sure why it works or if it will work for you but it does for me.
hehehehe…loved your post!!
First line rang true with me as well….something so simple, so affordable 🙂 this is making food very appealing. Am on a runaway looking for more recipes on Bing 😀
I’m not a fan of eggs. Do these taste eggy?
I don’t like eggs either and they taste a little eggy but they have more of an egg texture than anything, I added vanilla and cinnamon and I couldn’t even choke down one bite this morning. Super sad…
Ive tried. Very, very good. Thanks 🙂 Best wishes from Poland 🙂
Hey Cassey, I’ve tried these and they are amazing! Thank you sooo much! <3
Probably the healthiest breakfast I’ve had in a month. I’m surprised people are complaining about lack of flavor cause my had an intense banana flavor. I love sweets and very very sweet things and I didn’t have to add any sugar, or honey at all. Loved the taste.
Really tasty! Duh people there is no flour, of course it is not going to be typical textured pancakes/waffles. I found these to be an awesome alternative. I actually put the mixture in my waffle maker.. Found it easier than trying to flip them like a pancake. Liked the vanilla and cinnamon in them too.
How’d they come out in the waffle maker? can you tell me what you did exactly? thanks!
Not sure why so many people are posting negative things about this recipe. I for one thought it was AMAZING! Quick side note though: After reading that a lot of you thought this recipe was too “eggy” and “omlete-like,” I decided to add only ONE egg (to the one banana.) I think that might be the solution to the eggy-ness of these. I honestly couldn’t imagine using two like the recipe says. A lot of you also complained about lack of flavor; I added about a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Sooo good. Even if you don’t like cinnamon (like myself), it is still good with the cinnamon just because it adds a new level of flavor. For those of you talking about how it stuck to the pan and were difficult to flip, I did find that I had to re-grease my pan quite often, maybe because these ingredients tend to absorb things easily, idk.
But yeah just a few tips on how to improve this recipe if you weren’t too pleased with it the first time around! :] Now let me just say, using one egg, some additional flavoring, and frequent coconut oil-ing, I was able to make the most addicting, delicious, sweet, scrumptious pancakes in the world. Absolutely in love with them, I make them all the time. Thanks soooo much Cassey for this recipe, I woulda never thought about mixing these two ingedients together!
<3 Gabby 🙂
I used my magic bullet to mix the banana and eggs. I added 1 extra banana and threw in some blueberries. They were very easy to flip and if you use half of the batter it works out to only 2pts if you are doing weight watchers. My 2 grandchildren ate them plain I made them small so that they could hold them in their hand like a snack. You could put peanut butter on them and roll them .
Tired these today and they were good…even if I had an issue flipping them over….sooo good…wonder can I make these ahead heat up for a quick on the go breakfast
Just tried this and it turned out perfectly!! Don’t make your pancakes too big.. make them small, like the size of a chocolate chip cookie 🙂 They taste delicious and look kind of like pancakes! They weren’t runny and flipped easily… Maybe you need to mix better lol make sure the bananas are completely smooshed. 🙂
The post provides verified useful to me personally. It’s extremely informative and
you’re naturally extremely experienced in this area. You have got opened my personal sight in order to numerous views on this subject matter using intriquing, notable and reliable articles.
Did not expect to like them but it looked so easy I had to try. i added a bit more than two bananas though but it tasted amazing. Nothing like banana flavored eggs.
This recipe for banana pancakes is just fantastic.I made the recipe for Sunday brunch and was simply blown away at how delicious they tasted.I drizzled a bit of maple syrup over them..Thank you for this recipe. Now I can enjoy pancakes..my fav breakfast.
made these for breakfast and these were seriously good! I didnt have a hard time flipping them at all, and it tasted really sweet, so i didnt need syrup. LOVE IT!
these were rubbish, they were soggy flat and had to flavor of a pigs bottom!!
they also taste of banana omelate and i can tell you that is not a good combination.
What all readers fail to realize is that not anywhere on this website does it describe it as yummy!!
Ty adding some flavor !!!
The batter was soooo runny, couldn’t flip them, I added some while meal flour and that worked but still dunno how you got them to work with just banana and egg
I just made these and they were soggy. I had to cook them for over 2 minutes on each side and they still did not flip. Any suggestions?
Same problem! Mine were super soggy. 1 large ripe banana, 2 large eggs. small amount of cinnamon and vanilla extract. looked nothing like the image. i could barely flip them =/
no option to edit forgot to add medium heat with coconut oil.
Also I had no difficulty flipping these. I suggest you just keep an eye on them, if the heat is lower you are going to have to wait longer than 50 seconds. Coconut oil really helps cook them as well if you add a little to the skillet.
Just tried these with a little cinnamon and they were soooo good! I don’t know how people had soggy results because mine were great! I added a large banana, but could honestly see myself adding a little more next time for a bit more of a banana flavor. I LOVE YOU CASSEY YOU’RE SERIOUSLY THE BEST!!
NO WAY!! That’s It??? OMG. I have to try it tomorrow. Cassey you’re amazing. <3
NOT good, they taste like soggy bananas and eggs.
how many pancakes make ‘a serving’?
I added a little bit of chia seeds to bulk them up and they were easier to flip. Also, using coconut oil definitely makes them taste better!
Umm, I just tried to make these and when I tried to flip them they fell apart… None of them worked out, they all turned into a gross mess…
OMG….I tried these this morning. WHO LIKES THESE? They were disgusting.
I love Banana and I like eggs. But this recipe is easy to make, but difficult to flip.
And the TASTE!!!! UGH. Don’t waste you time on this recipe. You will waste 1 Banana and
Agreed. No offense, but this is NOT a recipe for pancakes. This is a recipe for banana flavored scrambled eggs.
Hey, I added 1 table spoon of all purpose flour just to give it a little something extra. i also sprinkled some cinnamon in the batter and the pancakes came out great! i did not have a problem flipping them and they tasted great!
Hope i helped
I’m definitely not a fan of bananas..but I tried these anyway. Curiosity killed the cat, right? And these were good! I will definitely be making these again! Thank you!
All of my favorite recipes I have found on https://healthyrevelations.wordpress.com. There are a lot of amazing pre and post workout meals. Everything is very healthy and low calorie 🙂
I’ve made these every day this week, they are sooo good! I used 1 banana and 1 egg and added 1 teaspoon of oat flour and some cinnamon. They were delicious with apple sauce 🙂
I thought these sounded too good to be true. And I was right. Sorry for all those people who think they’re great. And it’s a passable solution for those with allergies, etc. No one in my house would eat them after one bite.
Wow – just made these for breakfast, and they were delicious! My boyfriend and I loved them! It is kinda like banana quiche/scramble, but it doesn’t matter – tastes amazing! I added a dash of cinnamon and vanilla as some of the other commenters stated.
Also, in the middle of my batch, I threw a handful of rolled oats in to experiment. Those pancakes were a little denser. I liked them both with and without oats. They taste great by themselves or with a bit of almond butter, jam or honey. Thank you Cassey!!! <3
Wow, you don’t know how long I have searched for a recipe that uses 1 ripe banana and none of the other ingredients that aren’t on our diet. Who knew I would find a way to cook it with just two ingredients. I used a potato masher on the banana, then a wooden spoon to mix, but then I switched to a whisk because it seemed like it might be too lumpy. I may have whisked it too much though because although it added a bit of airy fluffiness, I had a little trouble flipping them as well; they were a little watery on top compared to the cooked texture underneath. Also, keeping my skillet at a lower temperature meant it takes longer to heat to the right degree. By the time I got to the third and last (mini) pancake, we were finally rocking. Like any pancakes, it takes a little practice to get the flip just right. The texture was very close to regular pancakes…which is pretty amazing considering there is no flour used!
Like any pancake, you know it’s ready to flip over when little bubbles appear on top. But that means going longer than the 20-30 seconds unless your pan is very hot.
I sprinkled a little coconut on top to serve, in lieu of powdered sugar, put some maple syrup in hot water to heat it up a bit and voila. The husband really liked them. Yes, you do taste the egg flavor, and the banana was dominant as well, but I think that is to be expected with nothing else in there. With pure maple syrup drizzled on top, the first bite really tasted like a pancake and I agree it is equally good without. I think next time I will experiment with adding a little vanilla extract to tame the egg and banana flavor from being too potent. But even split between my hubby and me…what an incredibly low-calorie treat! We’ll never be putting overly ripe bananas in the green barrel again!
THANK YOU for this recipe, these are sooooo good!!! <3 I was craving something sweet and these were totally yummy, omnomnom 8)
Hey thank you so much for taking the time and effort to put this post together.
. very appreciated
Is one serving one pancake? They are pretty small and I’m wondering how one pancake can be 248 calories when the sum of all the ingredients is only 240. (1 banana=100, 2 eggs=140). I also added another banana because the batter was too thin. Still very yummy 🙂
no the entire recipe is 248 calories! amazing right?
Wow!! Just made these and they were amazing!! Added cinnamon and vanilla. So flavorful that you don’t need syrup, butter or anything. Thank you so much for this recipe!
These are fantastic! I love bananas, so naturally I love these. I added vanilla extract and cinnamon to the mixture. Also dipped in sugar-free syrup. Thank you for the recipe!!
One question, have you ever tried this using egg beaters??
SO tasty. SO good.
Yo I made these for my family today and ever loved them one batch add raisin yum tomorrow I’m adding apples and cinnamon.
I made these this morning. Interesting taste, but it’s more like banana omelettes to me lol. I wonder if it’ll be better if I just use egg white…..
just made these!! SO amazing! Having them pre-workout tomorrow morning with a little bit of peanut butter 😉
Making these tomorrow morning! I’ll instagram you my picture! xo love you cassey!
Aweful. Tastes very bad!!
OMG these were so good! I made these for breakfast for my family and I was suprised that they liked them, because normally when I do some healthy treat, they are like if you wanna eat cookies, make them right and stuff. I’m totally gonna do these again. Thanks Cassey! 🙂
A little nervous as to how they’d turn out when I was just mixing them up, but turned out so delicious. New favorite, thanks!!
Just made these with some pecan nuts and a sprinkling of coconut added. Absolutely delicious!! Surprisngly sweet given there’s no added sugar and so filling! Thanks so much!! YUM>
These really shouldn’t be called “pancakes” as the only resemblance to real pancakes is that they are both round. What there truly are are paper-thin, flat discs of a very odd texture. The taste is ok if you really like bananas, but these fall apart in the pan and disintegrate in your mouth. They are fine, I guess, if all you care about is nutritional stats not taste.
Can you make with just egg whites ?
Ha ha ha omg I added 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder!! but it still turned out really delicious!
Thank you for sharing this recipe!! When I found it last summer I had been making it with EVO, but since I started my new diet with Slimming World this year I have switched to Fry Light. I’d really like to see how many syns Coconut Oil is and if I can find it in the UK, because I’d really like to try that. Now that I am on this diet I have thought to put Fat Free/Light Yogurt on top (which is all free) and fruit like raspberries or blueberries ontop with a bit of sweetner 🙂
I love pancakes, thought I would make something different. When I came across this recipe, I was amazed to see so many comments. Am excited and going to make it for breakfast. I am positive that my son will enjoy it. It has just two ingredients. “Wow”.
hi, made these this morning for the two girls I watch. I loved that they were so sweet & flavorful. My question is what is the serving size? Is it the same as a regular pancake mix?
Making these as we speak. Didn’t let the first one cook all the way before I flipped, still delicious. Still trying to find the”right” time to flip. But great tasting. Oh and I used an two extra banana s- the “batter” was too runny with just one.
The extact same thing happened to me. They are very delicate to flip, I also had to use to bananas. I thought they were just Ok, of course if you love bananas you will like them.
You have to cook them at a very low heat.. It takes forever but that’s how I found made the best ones..
I only used 1 banana.
so I made these pancakes today, and although I was initially a bit worried that they weren’t going to work, they turned out delicious!
however, to the people who want bready, floury, fluffy IHOP style pancakes, these are not it. the texture is a bit more soft and wet (?). however, they taste fantastic. so definitely give them a try. x]
I can finally have a flippin’ pancake. Girl, you are my heroine! These turned out fabulous and I’m dumbfounded !
My 6 year old told me these were the best pancakes we have ever made at home, she usually barely eats one and she ate 4! I added 1 TBSP ground flax for texture and that made it more interesting to me. Its a nice, and fantastically inexpensive way to keep the kids full through to lunch when they go to school. If they eat cereal they are starving by lunch time. But this way we avoid wheat and get some great protein into the diet. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I’m allergic to bananas, is there any other fruit that can be used?
Or try mashed sweet potatos
Banana Pancakes! Wow I made these this morning and was I surprised that they were yummy and filling! Love ’em
Banana Pancakes! Wow I made these this morning and was I surprised super yummy and filling! Love ’em
OMG these are SO good! My fiance even likes them. It’s so simple and quick, I love it! We put some honey in the batter and drizzled a bit on top for some sweetness and it was delish! Thanks Cassey!!!
I made these and they were great! A great way to sneak eggs to my little egg-haters;P
I was skeptical about this recipe but it was beyond amazing and I will def be making it again. Soooooo good!
Agree with Danielle from Dec 22. It is a very eggy mix, I think next time I will be using more than one banana. Had to add toppings on mine because it was a tad overpowering. Despite this, so easy! And when I tasted banana, sooo tasty!!
Thank you so much for the recipe! I just tried it, and it is soooo good, and made me totally full 🙂
I didn’t think that this would work at all but when i did, I loved it! SO incredibly easy and tasty! Im thinking about making them tomorrow morning, and adding some oats to the batter? I think this would make it more filling maybe. Is this a good idea? Anyways, thank you for sharing this recipe<3 xx
Omg u know what? i think i’ll try it with some oats too, i’ll do an egg, a large banana and 1/4 cup of oats.
Did you try the oats? And if you did, which kind: steel-cut, 5 minute, or 1 minute?
I have been looking for an alternative to the usual flour loaded pancake…these were delicious!!!!
Thanks a bunch!!
omg i’m just eating them and they’re AMAAAAZING <33
I’ve tried making these twice, and both times it just doesn’t come out right. I blend them in a blender and they never flip properly…they just splatter everywhere, no matter how long I let them cook on one side 🙁 any suggestions?
Your issue may be the fact that you’re doing it in the blender.. I mash the bananna up and leave it kind of chunky.. then i wish the 2 eggs into it with a fork… I put it in a hot skillet and let it setup to almost done all the way through on both sides, then i flip it over.. i’ve never had a problem with cooking em, or flipping them… I think putting it in the blender is making your mix too runny and watery… the chunky state of the bananna helps it to stick together.
I made mine in the blender and it that is not the issue. You will have to increase the egg in your batter. The first time I made it, I had too many bananas (because I thought it would maker them thicker. ) However, it’s the eggs that solidify when cooked and hold the”pancake” together
Finally made these this morning – very exciting, easy and tasty.
wow!!! these taste amazing cassey thank you so much!
I should have read the comments before I began. I used two very ripe bananas and 1/2 cup Egg Beaters (the equivalent of 2 large eggs). I mashed the bananas with a fork, then used the fork to whisk in the eggs. I added a few dashes of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. I cooked them in coconut oil. They turned out more like banana omelettes or scrambled eggs. Delicious, but definitely not the texture of a pancake. Next time I’ll try a large banana per egg and whisk the heck out of the mixture.
Thanks for sharing this great paleo recipe!
How many is a serving?
These were so so tasty! They worked out best when I blended the mixture for longer (more air incorporation, so fluffier) and when I made small pancakes 🙂
Just made these with breakfast. Not too bad! A little different but I would deff. make them again!
I make these all the time. I’m from the Virgin Islands, live in New York. Back home we call them Banana Fritters. Grew up eating these as a child. Easy to make!! Whole family loves em!
I am regular visitor, how are you everybody? This article posted at this website is genuinely fastidious.
My men may never see homemade banana bread again. The ripe bananas are mine. What a wonderful treat . On the top of my list for breakfast (for sure)!
Just made these for the first time! So glad I tried it =] Came out great!! I put peanut butter on just about everything so of course I added little on top of these pancakes, although hard to spread it was pretty yummy!!
You could melt some PB in the microwave to drizzle over them instead of trying to spread it.
I really didn’t trust this at first. But oh my word. I had “breakfast” for dinner tonight and it was goood.
How did you flip them?! I just made them and had such a hard time.
I made these this morning using a ripe plantain (large) in place of banana, and it was excellent! I’ll try it with the cinnamon next time.
very good with cinnamon I did it this mornin, bbut i used one banana and one egg and they came out mushy 🙁
I made these this morning with a little cinnamon and they were SOOOO GOOD! I’ll definitely make this more often ^^. It’s hard to believe that it’s such an easy recipe but also sooo delicious! 😀
These banana pancakes were right up my alley! One morning I didn’t have bananas, so I used cooked mashed butternut squash in place of the bananas. Not quite as sweet, but it went very well with the eggs and cinnamon.
I just made these! Soooooooo good!!! I had to add an extra banana though. Perfection!
hey i just tried these this morning and they are AMAZING!! soooooo much better than regular pancakes:) so i got experimenting-
i tried some toppings- coconut oil drizzled on top, sunflower spread, cocoa & coconut oil spread melted & mixed, heated raspberries, chia cinnamon yogurt and chopped walnuts. All really good, the best was the melted coconut oil- you HAVE to try it- YUUUUMMMM.
If its mush it is because you cooked it too long. You need to wait till the center actually bubbles up, the key to this is cooking them on medium to low heat, and for a while, I wait till the centers bubble over, also you are wanting to use a LARGE banana with Large two eggs. I normally use a normal banana and a large egg. A lot of this is how you cook it. I tend to use my blender to make sure everything is well blended. If you are looking for some help to hold it together, if you have rice flour add about a tablespoon to your mixture.
How did you get your pancakes so fluffy in the picture? Mine turned out a mushy mess:(
There were amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe!
I’m making these right now and it’s taking everything out of me to wait until it’s all done. So amazing!
I made these banana pancakes this morning, and they were easy to make, delicious, and didn’t require any topping. Great idea. I posted it on my website, which is a growing collection of recipes for paleo-vegetarians. Thank you.
I love blogilates and I love this recipe! I just made them and they turned out delicious… they actually tasted just like the banana pancakes I get at a restaurant. I added some pumpkin pie spice to them for some added flavor and they were REALLY good! And they’re paleo!
My 1 yr old granddaughter will not eat eggs. I tried these and she loves them. I add a bit of cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. I had some leftover infant cereals (multi-grain, rice, oatmeal) that she would no longer eat so I added a bit of that to give the pancakes a bit more body. Sometimes I add some pumpkin puree or unsweetened applesauce. When I ran out of her infant cereal I started adding some oats. I no longer worry about what to give her for breakfast. They make a great snack as well!
Mine didn’t work out ): the banana was well mashed, but when i put them on the pan they just sat there, and the only part that cooked was the egg. it kinda looked like a gross,yellow-ish fried egg.
You can certainly see your enthusiasm within the work you write.
The world hopes for even more passionate writers such as you who aren’t afraid to mention how they believe. All the time follow your heart.
I tried making them on the pan but it burned and I don’t have a Grendel
I tried these this morning and added cinnamon. So good! Thanks for the recipe!
I tried these this morning. I was so surprised at how easy it was!! The KEY to making them thicker is beating the batter. The longer the better. These were so delicious!!!!!
Delicious! Great for those who are cutting back on carbs.I added some cinnamon and I took out one yoke and they were a little eggy. I’m gonna try to add some oats next time. Great recipe and so many possibilities! Thank you
umm … these were eggy bananas for me. don’t mean to be a negative nancy but i was really disappointed. maybe i’ll try again with a bit of flour like people recommended.
I am in love with this pancakes!! I was dx with Celiac Disease and have been gluten free going on five years now. These are the BEST pancakes I’ve had in those 5 years!!! THANK YOU for posting!!!
I found this recipe on Pinterest and just tried it this morning- so good! And I love how simple it is!
I was a little skeptical that it would be too eggy, like just eggs with bananas floating in them :/ but they weren’t at all! The recipe made 5 pancakes for me so I experimented with them. I ate 2 plain, topped one with syrup, added cinnamon to the batter of the last one, and topped one with a little cream cheese and cinnamon/sugar mixture. The cinnamon/sugar/cream cheese was probably my favorite! But they are delicious plain also. Thanks for this easy, two-ingredient recipe!
Personally I did not feel these were pancakes at all, rather just soggy “baneggas”. But once I added a tablespoon of flour these really did turn into nice tasty fluffy pancakes. Since my toddler loves pancakes I’m very thankful to have stumbled upon a NSA version that’s super quick to make. Thank you! xoxo
I just made them tonight for breakfast tomorrow and they were amazing! I added a tbsp of dessicated coconut as well as a tsp of raisins to give it more ooomph. I’m so looking forward to having them in the morning! Thank you for such a brilliant idea 🙂
To help with the “egginess” and thin texture, I added about 1t of oat flour and a pinch of baking powder. This gave me fluffy pancakes that had a texture more like traditional ones.
Also, I made a variation with 1 banana, 1/2c of pumpkin, sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg, and 3 eggs + 1/4c egg whites. They get a little darker because of the pumpkin, but taste great!
How are you flipping these? Mine just fall apart and don’t look like a pancake anymore?
OMG – this recipe is awesome! I always make these fluffy, easy pancakes at the weekend. It doesn’t taste eggy at all. Seriously, everyone should try these out.
i made these with one banana and one egg, and added 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of quick oats, dash of vanilla, and a few chocolate chips…they came out amaaazing- perfect thickness, no eggy taste, and did not use syrup !!
I used 3 egg whites and whipped them with the banana till it ‘peaked’ – They were SUPER fluffy although they ‘fell’ after they cooled a bit. I put a little organic maple syrup on em’ for my 3 year old and he gobbled up 3 full sized pancakes in the blink of an eye!
I absolutely love this. The other day I tried this with my homemade chunky apple sauce instead and it was great. I admit, there is a slightly egginess to it and it turned out more like a crepe than pancake, but it was still all good. It’s so easy and good for you too!
Thanks so much for this AWESOME recipe.
I looooooovvvvve it!
I love your blog so much that I was inspired to make my own.
I hope it’s alright that i’m sharing some of your recipes
Is that ok?
ps. do you think this recipe will work without the egg yolks?
Thanx to all the comments, I used a spotted banana, a fork to mash it, and only 1 egg. For what it’s worth, it was delish!!
I tried them this morning with a hint of cinnamon. Yummy. I also use 100% pure maple syrup which, yes, has sugar, but the good sugar that breaks down easily. I cannot use any sugar products without jitters and maple syrup doesn’t have that effect.
Thanks for the recipe… I will make these a lot. I store my riper bananas in the freezer and just defrost and mash, then mix with the beaten eggs.
Tried these this morning. Mine didn’t look near as “fluffy” as the ones in the picture, but were delicious anyway! I made 1, tried it, it was yummy so I decided to make the rest. However, I added vanilla and cinnamon to the remaining “batter”. I have to say, I didn’t care for the addition of the vanilla and cinnamon. They tasted much better without (that 1st trial one) those additions. The first one tasted just like banana bread – YUM!
Love these!!! I don’t care for bready pancakes so these are a perfect alternative for me. I cooked them in a stainless steal pan with Pam cooking spray. I added a little pancake mix to see which way I liked it better and I liked it without. But hubby likes it with the mix. It’s great for him cuz he’s diabetic. Thanks so much for this recipe!!!
I tried this twice, and had mixed results. The first time, they basically came out like banana omelettes. Very, very eggy. The second time, I pureed a very ripe banana and then mixed in the egg, and used a pancake mold to keep the batter from spreading in the pan and it resulted in thicker pancakes that were much less eggy. Still pretty darn eggy, though.
Has anyone tried freezing them and then toasting them afterwards. I was just wondering how they fair.
LOVE LOVE this! I’ve made it countless times. One time I ate them with jelly, delicious! I made it for my fiancé yesterday and he loved them as well. He was shocked I wasn’t eating them with syrup; they don’t need any!
Thanks for posting something so healthy and easy! I also featured it on my blog: http://www.pinkskyline.com/2012/09/2-ingredient-banana-pancakes.html
Keep up the good work, I love your site and videos.
thanks for sharing!!
I used 1 egg and 1 ripe banana and added some oatmeal/raisin mix to it (just a spoonful for this attempt) – totally delicious!!
I was excited to try these pancakes but was very disapointed, no way they were even close to a pancake, yuck! might try again with darker bananas but I won’t hold my breath. Too bad, cause this could have been something I can actually eat. I’ll let ya know if I try again and how they turn out.
Soggy and eggy. Didn’t like at all. And yes…my banana was super ripe and organic.
these look fabulous!
Tried it today, yes they were yummy and tasted the banana. I had to cook it longer than the time stated, but was not disappointed. Didn’t add cinnamon or anything, next time I might put a touch after cooking it. Thank you so much for this simple and quick recipe.
i tried this and they are delicious. i added a dash of cinnamon and used eggs that are very ripe.
definitely bookmarking this for future use
These were really good! I topped them with sliced strawberries and a little powdered sugar. DELISH!
Por fin mis hermanos que padecen de diabetes van a poder comer hot cakes nuevamente!!! Gracias!!
When I read this earlier today I was so excited to try it out…especially since I have a recipe that is similar, but with flour. I tried it but was so disappointed:( it tasted more egg-ie than banana or pancake.
I had the exact same experience today. I hated the resulting banana-eggs. With a recipe this simple, I cannot imagine what I might have done differently from the commenters who loved it. I wonder if my standards might just be calibrated differently because I don’t usually do flourless/gluten free/paleo?
If you used bananas that were still yellow, then try waiting until they are more brown than yellow. Same thing when making Banana bread. The riper they are, the sweeter the banana tastes.
same with me. i was to excited to try this out, I have the very ripe banana which is already brown-ish. Didnt add anything but just the eggs and banana. I didnt like the taste 🙁 even tried with pancake syrup but still not yummy.. </3
Mine weren’t ready to flip after even a MINUTE!! Why could that be??
Omg Cassey I almost forgot to tell you that I actually tried the pancake recipe and I love it!!!! Anyone know if/how well these might freeze? These would be awesome to send with my kids to school in the am but the thought of making them every morning isn’t really appealing to me, regardless of how easy they are its still a process
These are yummy. I just made them to see what they tasted like.. and it’s tasty! Has a hint of banana bread taste and full of protein. A nice change to eating the regular egg in the morning!
they were really easy to make, but mines were tasting so egg-y (?).. is 1 egg enough?
these are awesome! but i may add, the older banana’s are better, tastes like it has maple syrup in it already! and organic bananas are best. THX 🙂
ps. forgot to say extra banana is great, and using a blender helps get out the lumps
These were really good! Just one word of caution: don’t use an immersion blender to get the mixture really smooth after you’ve added the egg. I tried that after just using a fork to mash everything together. The first one (with just the mashing) turned out really well, but after I used the immersion blender, they tasted really egg-y and were impossible to flip. I think it got too much air in the batter. With one banana and two eggs, I got about four 4-inch pancakes.
Yummy! I love how fast it is and it definitely gave me energy to start the day. Thanks!
Can you use just egg whites?
I used one whole egg and one egg white. Never made it before so I can’t compare, but it is really good!
Awesome! Loved it, thank you
I was just wondering how much the 1 banana and 2 eggs make and if it was total 250 calories or just one pancake
I made these this morning with a teeny-tiny dash of cinnamon and ate them with some peanut butter on them (not a fan of syrup–too sweet for me!) and they were SO GOOD. Definitely making these again (:
Hi! thank you for sharing…I am trying to lose weight so what kind of syrup and butter should i pour on the pancakes that will not ruin my diet? Thanks!
I made these this morning, and there really is no need to put anything on top of them. Syrup pure or not is full of sugar. If you’re going to just put butter on them, I would say to use brummel and brown butter. I just ate them plain though and they were really good.
I made these this morning and I put some vanilla extract and cinnamon then put agave nectar on it and it was super tasty!! Yum
You can get sugar free syrup, it’s still just as tasty just not as thick.
I just made these for my lunch. Do these taste just like pancakes, no. Are these good, yes. I got about 20 of out of my 2 eggs and one banana. Roughly 1 1/2 – 2 inches in diameter. I used coconut oil to fry in. Next time I will try a little ground flax seed to give a little thicker consistency. I am dipping them into sugar free syrup.
Thank you for this recipe! They taste really good and are soooo easy to do! Perfect for me xD
This is a great recipe! I think it works best if your banana has some spots. Try adding spices like cinnamon or nutmeg…stir in some walnuts or pecans!!
Omg i tried them today and i absolutely LOVE them!! so quick and easy and delicous – thank you so so much for sharing the recipe!! ;**
Mine did better on medium to low heat – different stove/pan? Added TBSP raw honey and dash vanilla. Turned out like crepes, very tasty with some almond butter on the side. Got about 15-20 little pancakes, maybe diameter of small orange. And mine did bubble, maybe because I used the Magic Bullet. I am always looking for new ways to prepare eggs and use ripe bananas…..thank you
Yum! I was worried these would turn out looking like egg with some banana but they really do look and taste like a pancake. I made them small, spread some pb in the middle, and rolled them up and they are so tasty!
These didn’t turn out for me. I followed the directions, but ended up with banana flavored scrambled eggs. 🙁
me too… : (
Thanks for this recipe! I featured your post on my favorite pins section of my blog @ planprepareandprovide.com. Thanks!
PERFECTLY yummy! Added 1 TSP of vanilla and 1/4 c unflavored protein powder.
omg. these make the most amazing post-workout snack. I mixed 1 medium banana with 2 medium eggs, then added a little cinnamon, flax seed and stevia (I have a REAL sweet tooth haha). the protein pancake recipes I’ve tried have ALL been an absolute disaster, but this was honestly one of the easiest, tastiest things I’ve ever made!! I topped some with raspberries, others with peanut butter. also I didn’t have any coconut oil, so just used ordinary olive oil. still worked a treat! xxx
p.s. everyone in my family loves them too!! thanks cassey 🙂
I tried these today and they were so great! My niece who hates eggs but loves banana loved them! I liked it so much that I shared it on my blog with a link to this one! Thank you for this fantastic recipe!
It does work I promise.
1.) I mixed the eggs and pancake with a egg beater so the consistancy was smoooootttthhhh.
2.) These are made to be mini, not large. If you pour too much into the pan, then you will not be able to flip over your pancake with out making a mess. Less is more.
3.) Let the pancake sit on medium heat for about 1 minute, or until you can tell that the bottom is fully cooked.
These were great they tasted like banana crepes in Thailand. Delicious
I just made and am eating mine riiiiiight now! They’re awesome. Yes, they are different, but that’s a good thing because the “real” thing isn’t the healthiest option. Thanks for this!! You’re definitely inspiring me to keep it simple when I do my recipes. 🙂
Is everyone insane?!? These made NOTHING resembling a pancake! What it DOES produce is a plate of scrambled eggs with banana! If you’ve always dreamed of making banana scrambled eggs covered in syrup, by all means, give this recipe a try! If that’s NOT something you would think to eat, skip it! For the poster of this recipe, why don’t you try posting a picture of the ACTUAL recipe product? If you truly think its so great, you wouldn’t feel the need to accompany it with a picture of real, fluffy, flour-laden pancakes.
Here, here! (I agree with this comment).
That means you did it wrong.
