Your August 2018 Workout Calendar!

Happy August!!!

We are a little over 2 months away from the wedding. AHHHHHHH. How is it so close already!?? There are still a lot of things that are not set yet. I need to buy all the materials for my calligraphy displays and then write it all up! From the food menu items to the seating chart to the welcome sign! I got a lot of practice from doing the invitation addresses, but I have not worked with paint pens on acrylic yet. I must practice HARD!!!

Then the dress! I’m supposed to get fitted 6 weeks out, but I wanna get fitted now! I want it in my closet and ready to go! I don’t like when things are all over the place, but I’m sure the designer knows best. They do this because the fit can be inaccurate if you do it too far out due to weight loss or weight gain! Oh well, I must be patient. In other news, we found my sister’s Maid of Honor dress! My mom has her dress too, but no shoes yet. And I’m helping Sam’s mom find a nice dress for the wedding! All of this is super fun and I’m truly enjoying the journey. It’s just coming up too quickly though!!!

Anyway, August! Here’s your line up:

    I love your calendars ! I love that they are split up into shorter videos because my kids usually only let me get through a couple haha. I was wondering if you knew of a good “equivalent” kind of workout for men? Some kind of good daily video?

    On mondays, are we supposed to do the “New Video”? I workout in the afternoon, and the new video is not uploaded at that time (or at least it’s nor in the calendar) Which males me wonder, if the new video also is a part of the days workouts?

    Hi Cassey, Im fairly new to blogilates and my main concern is there are no rest days? Ive been advised that you should have at least 2 rest days a week otherwise the exercises arent fully beneficial…

      friday is a rest day, stretching is rest for the muscles and it’s good to have active rest days. 🙂

    HI Cassey, a question I’d love some advice on: I’m 43 years old, and I keep reading that I should focus more on strength and resistance training than things like HIIT. Does this sound right to you? And if so, should I not do the cardio in your calenders? Limit them? Or are they OK since they’re not super long? Thanks.

      Do a mix of both. Try doing more resistance training like the pilates workouts she has on the calendar. She has a day dedicated to HIIT which is enough cardio (each day averages out to 30-45 min). HIIT burns more calories than steady state cardio in less time. It’s good to do both, so you’re both strong & have stamina.

    Interesting calendar, that I am sure that many people will copy. This will be suitable routine for many people, though I personally think that everybody need to find the right regiment for themselves.

    Hey! I have a problem with the online calendar… I do the videos for the day and check them as I go, but the next day when I come back all the checks from previous videos I’ve done are gone 🙁 It’s really motivating to see all of the boxes checked, so could you please fix it so that they don’t disappear everytime I log out/turn off my computer? Thank you!

      i had the same problem throughout the whole month! it got annoying and didn’t motivate much at the end…

    Hello Casey! I would love an input from you. I recently joined Pop Pilates here in KL Malaysia. About 2 months now. I would love to practice it on a daily basis. I tried the beginners plan, however I found it a bit light. Maybe because I gym quite actively as well. At the same time I find the july/august calendar too hectic for me. Is there something intermediate or can you propose some help or guidelines to create my own routine? I would love to pursue pop pilates. I just can’t seem to find a routine that suits me! Help please

    Hi! I remember we used to click on the wo of the day and it was leading me to the youtube directly. Somehow i cant do it anymore. I have an iphone and i save the cal to the files as pdf so do you know why? Am i doing something wrong? 🙈 thanks!

    Hi Everyone, for some reason, maybe because i tried the free trial PIIT28 app I now lost the access to the original Blogilates App. Is this possible? I hope this is a mistake. I want Blogilates App back. PIIT28 app or website is NOT for me. HELP. 4 years on Blogilates App!! HELP HELP HEL

    A workout calendar is a great idea. My horoscope (on https://www.astrosofa.com/horoscopes/yearly-horoscope/Yearly-horoscope-2018) said, that august would be a good time to start with sport again. A calendar could help to find the motivation! 🙂

      Hi Zoe! You’re supposed to do ALL the workouts for that day and check them off when you’re done. It totals to about a half hour of workouts, which is perfect for the busy person who wants to focus on different parts of the body 🙂 Have a happy workout!
