WORKOUT DETAILS

Hey guys!!

I was reading through the YouTube comments after I posted your new video and somebody thought I was going to show you how to get applesauce arms. Hmm. What would that look like? Pale yellow, chunky, gooey arms – no sugar added? Oh yes. Quite attractive dontcha think!? It’s the latest trend on the Fall Fashion runways! (Which btw omg my Instagram feed has been overflowing with fashion blogger madness in NY! Anyone else?!!!)

Haha the applesauce comment made me laugh so bad. As you know now (hopefully) this workout is called Applause Arms…as in…tribute to Lady Gaga’s new song “Applause”!

How do you like it? At first I was like…hmmm…I’m not sure…so dramatic…so intense! Then it grew on me. Very dancy and catchy. I tried to make an oblique workout for you on the mat but I could not stay seated!! My legs and arms got all jittery. I needed to get up and let all that energy shine!!! So I grabbed my dumbbells and started curling and squatting. This is how your Applause Arms video was born!

This weekend was spent cooking cooking cooking away! I’m working a special project for you guys and am compiling some of my tastiest and healthiest recipes for each season. Take a look at some of the goodies I shot and gobbled up yesterday! Which do you want?

food photos

Oh heavens yes. It’s the leaning tower of Banana Pancakes!!!

banana pancakes

1 ripe banana + 2 eggs. Blend it smooth. Pour on the pan. Make sure it’s low heat. Flip when bubbles form on top. Completely paleo friendly. Here’s the recipe video.

And then this was made…

 raw vegan cheesecake

That is a no bake raw vegan cheesecake. Yup. You bet it is! I know some of you asked on Instagram for me to do a video, but I actually already did! This is a classic recipe from a year ago so you can find it on BlogilatesTV under “Food Bites”. Or you can just click here to get the full recipe. Seriously tastes like the real thing but SOOOOOO much better for you. The “cheese” is made from cashew cream cheese that you make yourself. And that crust ain’t no butter and graham cracker…it’s just walnuts and dates.

I can’t wait to share this project with you. It won’t be done for a while though as I am also putting together some amazing fitness routines that will keep you fit and strong throughout the year. I’ll also show you how to eat to your body’s best potential each season. Working hard to impress you guys every day:)

Please let me know what recipe I should do for Thursday’s Cheap Clean Eats! I had to take a little break because those videos are so detailed to film and edit. Was getting tired! The Favorites video was fun to do because I felt like I was just talking to my friends. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I am already thinking about what items I have to show you at the end of this month. There are some good ones already! No losers yet…

Love you forever and ever! Grab your dumbells (3-5 lbs) or waterbottles and start working! This routine is fun and sassy!

You’re great! Working out with your videos feels more like a party than anything 🙂 Also, I have to say that I’m an extremely shy person, I tend to hermit-it-up & stay indoors. But this community has been SO uplifting and SO inspirational for me, I truly appreciate everyone – not just Cassey! Everyone in this community are so eager to help each other, it’s wonderful to see such kindness 🙂 Perhaps now I’ll leave the safety of my books & bedroom to venture out and make friends. Thank you Cassey & POPsters & the entire Blogilates community 🙂

I tried the banana pancakes. Mine came out more like scrambled eggs.

  18. Kristyn says:

I think it’s about time for another meal plan Cassey!! I’ve looked through all the ones you have posted and they’re great, but I would love to change it up! I think your food preferences have changed so much that you could do some awesome things now with all the new foods you’ve discovered!!!

Also, food is definitely my biggest struggle. I’d love if you could really clarify EXACTLY what it means to you to eat clean, or what kind of parameters you shoot for when looking at nutrition facts. I get so confused with all the info out there!! I know to avoid fake ingredients and stuff I can’t pronounce, but do you really avoid sugars? You said in the ABC Abs vid that ketchup has too much sugar, but my TJ’s stuff has just a couple grams. And how much bread do you allow? And do you stop eating after a certain time each night? (I have some real trouble with some night bingeing! 🙂 So many questions, but I really feel so lost with so many different food theories out there and my struggles, and you obviously have a good grip on this stuff.

    Thanks a million!!!!

  19. Michelle says:

    I’d love some healthified brownies!
Thank you for always motivating me, I love you Cassey 🙂

  20. Yummm!!!! The recipes look amazing!

  21. Alina says:

PLEASE hea;thy bread or healthy brownies 😡 :-X

  22. Jenn S. says:

I forgot in my other comment but has anyone tried the banana pancakes without banana? Lol. Banana is one thing I absolutely can’t stand…I was wondering if the banana was integral to the texture/cooking ability of the pancake or if some other fruit puree would also work. Since its only two ingredients, and I never use banana, I didn’t know how well something else would work so before I potentially wasted fruit and eggs, thought I would ask. Thanks!

    1. Lisa says:

Look up the Dukan gilette pancake recipe – no fruit, but no carbs either, and lots of fibre. They’r actually very good 🙂

  23. Jenn S. says:

Omg applesauce! Every time I read the word “applause” after reading the title, I read it as applesauce and had to reread it. Lol! Haven’t tried the workout yet, but I’m going to add it to today’s beginners calender workout. Half way through week two of that calender and loving it! Can’t wait to move on to the regular calenders!

  24. Kathy says:

    Hi Cassie!
I love your cheap clean eats:D
Could you please healthily a red velvet cupcake/cake (maybe with beetroot) ?
It would also be amazing if you were able to make a cleaner version of an Oreo cookie, or a tart/pie (like pecan or pumpkin pie yum), or a brownie as someone has already suggested (although I think I read that you don’t like chocolate).
Thank you so much for making all your videos, you rock.
    Looking forward to Thursday:)
p.s. Healthy bubble tea would also be great!

    Dear Cassey,
I totally forgot to mention this in my last comment (I was sorta focused on food food food, hehe) but can you make a workout video for a student, like I don’t really have enough time to workout for so long every day (I know mby to some its not long, but for me, my schedule is crazy). Kinda like how you make a, um, idk, prom dress workout or that 100 (hotel/traveling) workout, something short I can do every day (sometimes pair it with another vid if i have time) that’ll really sculpt everything and keep me fit! thx
    mic

    1. cami says:

Hi! I couldn’t help answering, all Cassey videos are ‘student’ appropriate I’m student as well and have no time and I do the monthly calendar, believe it may seem like it takes a lot but it doesn’t just think about time you waste on internet or something like that and make it part of your routine, and just a plus it gives you energy, I can’t tell how many times I’ve been strugling with concentration (law student 🙂 ) and it helps A LOT.

  33. michaela says:

Next on cheap clean eats you should make a healthy quiche, or hmm idk something brunch…y or breakfast..y with like a tea and cakes theme in mind. haha sorry my thoughts dont make much sense written down all the time. love yah!

    Hey Cassey!

This work out is awesome! I really love it and was hopeing you’d make something for ‘Roar’ by K.Perry. That song is so strong and makes me feel powerful!

    1. Sara says:

Cassey actually already did a challenge with Roar a couple weeks ago 🙂 here’s the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jygOeqLCgB8

  43. s6milerun says:

    Hey there Cassey,

OK…so there is all this delicious looking food you’re putting out there. Please let me know what you’re cooking up so I can add to recipe list! You’re killing me!! I mean there’s dip, and soup, and looks like to cooked up some homemade pita bread. What’s the deal? Are you gonna show how to make the good stuff?

  44. Farheen says:

Awesome!! Can we pleeasse have Made in the USA–Demi Lovato next? :3

  45. Malak says:

Hey Cassey! OMG when i found out you did a workout to Lady Gaga’s applause I was like “Hallelujah my prayers have been answered!” I am in LOVE with this song. it is soo good you can’t help but feel like dancing to it when it’s on. I think, that a lot of us (speaking for myself and other POPsters), would like you to healthify a brownie. I keep seeing it in a lot and a lot of facebook and youtube comments, so perhaps you should give it a try. KEEP ON BEING AWESOME AND NEVER LET ANYONE BRING YOU DOWN. LOVE YOU <3

    1. Cristina says:

Omg yes brownies!!! *.* please make healthy brownies

      1. Jenn S. says:

Not to jump in on something Cassey might do, but I have a crazy easy raw brownie bite recipe that I follow…They are super delicious (they taste like super rich, fudgy brownies!) and super easy. Here is the link I use:
        http://ourlittlegreendot.com/raw-brownie-bites/

If you don’t have raw cacao powder, you can always use a natural, unsweetened cocoa powder. And you can jazz them up any way you wanted… mix dates with other dried fruits, add in some unsweetened coconut, or cinnamon, or roll them in cacao powder when they’re done, the sky is the limit!

I will add that if my dates have gotten a little on the dry side (although medjool dates seem to stay “moist” longer than other kinds), I’ll either soak them for a little while first, or add a little drizzle of raw honey or molasses to the mix to give them a little more sticking power. Delicious!

  46. Erin says:

I’ll be calling this video (and probably the song) Applesauce Arms from now on 🙂 I think I mentioned this before, but I’m not sure if you saw it. Anyway…if you ever feel like doing a country themed workout that would be great 🙂 So many great songs out there that would be perfect for a workout. Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl Shake It For Me” comes to mind. Or Neal McCoy’s “The Shake” if you wanna go old school 90s with it. And of course i would feel like a bad Townie if I didn’t suggest any and every Little Big Town song. For a workout or just for your listening pleasure. In my opinion (and all the rest of the true Townies) they are the BEST band in Nashville!

  47. Melissa says:

Oh Cassey you really should make more “dancing dumbbells” videos! It was so fun I forgot that I’m working out, with dumbbells! XD
And I can’t wait for your recipe project!
