Cassey, please stop being so obsessed by getting into the splits! It’s too much for us normal people, especially if we’re a bit older (I’m in my 40s) and/or have any back/glute/knee problems. I am pretty flexible but splits are just not gonna happen for me and I find the inclusion of lots of splits videos on the calendars really disheartening.
Oh no, don’t be discouraged! The point of splits is to get into a deep hamstring and hip flexor stretch. Definitely listen to your body and do your own interpretation and expression that feels right for you! 🙂
There’s no way I can hold onto my toe/foot and having my legs straight, they are more at a 90 degree angle if I’m holding them. Is it better to hold them and stretch as much as I can or let go and keep them straight and try to get them closer to my hands? I’d really like to get to a point where I can straighten out my legs as a lot of these moves require that!
I think that this is realy too advanced for the beginners calendar
I’m getting flexier with your workout🔥Thank you🤟
Recently I started up again with Pop Pilates after a long break and I decided to do the Beginners Calendar. In the past I didn’t like doing stretching videos, but there are lots incorporated in the Beginners Calendar and I’m starting to like them!
I love this video. I am slowly working my way into a split! Woo!
Waaaaay too advanced for the beginners calender
LongWizard, I have to agree, this is my go to stretch after my Morning run now!
I really need to start stretching more! LOL
My favorite video- it was this video that taught me I could do the splits! Absolutely amazing after a long run, leg day, etc.😛
This was so needed after yesterdays leg work! Excited to see improvement in splits. 🙂
Love this session so much.
I would love if the stretching videos were a bit longer. I think the stretches would be more effective if we held them for even longer, or if we did more of them before going into the splits.
How on earth is this beginners stretching?? We are doing the splits!
Cassie : *Legs straight, almost touching the floor* It’s okay if you’re there
Me: *in a very deep lunge position, legs bent, not even close to the floor* Haha kay girl, I’ll meet you down there in pigeon.
Haha right?!
Best attitude ever. Get it girl! 😉
Super inflexible. Couldn’t even fully extend my legs during most of the position but so gonna try to keep with it!
I DID IT THIS IS SO AMAZING! THANK YOU!!
I don’t have the flexibility yet. Went as far as I could.
Leg stretches are like the death of me. But since stretching and trying to push myself a bit more I’m happy to say I’ve noticed a slow improvement! Keep trying guys! 🙂
My hips flexibility is extremely poor.. I can’t even put the ankle over the thigh 🙁
I’m so happy. Already I can do the split after stretches from the split jorney 🙂
