This isn’t a beginner’s workout. I know it’s good and invigorating, and should be like a bit of a challenge as it is on Week 3, but it’s not really it. I know that there are modifications mentioned on the video, but it’s not even on every exercise. It’s not geared or catered for beginners, at all. Just sad because it’s discouraging for someone who wants to get back in shape.

Doing the beginner’s calendar and this is the first workout I actually ended up not finishing 🙁 Even with modifying the moves my legs were starting to shake and I just felt really weak and discouraged not being able to do anything properly, so I stopped at 10 minutes. I agree with the comments below that this is too challenging for the beginner’s calendar by far
Doing this on the beginner’s calendar (yay week 3!) and yeah! Definitely not a beginner’s workout per se, BUT I really enjoyed this one. If I couldn’t do a move, I modified my legs or just held the position as best I could to still get those abs hurting. On the rock move, I just did Hundreds lol. Don’t get discouraged, guys – three weeks ago, I couldn’t have even done the modifications!! We’ve come so far and it’s okay to take breaks and modify as long as you get it done. Trying is how we get stronger 🙂
I’m following the beginner’s calendar and this video was probably the hardest one yet! I do think that despite not being able to do every move and having to modify most of them, it’s nice to be really challenged and I look forward to the day I can complete it. I do admittedly also feel a little discouraged but it’s because I want to be stronger. I can’t wait to look back on this and see how far I have come!
This video is too hard for a beginner like me. Looking at the level, it makes sense. I am only able to do 4 minutes of this video. Might as well change it to another ab video which has a 2.5 level (a level that has appeared in all the previous videos)

Wow. I am doing the beginner’s calendar and I could barely do anything in this video. Especially after already doing another ab video. This is WAY too advanced for someone who is only 2 weeks into doing this, and she barely offers any modifications for beginners. It’s very discouraging and just made me mad. Every single time there was another move, I just wanted to throw something at the TV.
It was exactly the same for me. It discouraged me to no end, but I’m a bit relieved to hear that I’m not the only one finding it too hard for a beginner.
I’m doing the beginner calendar. This an exercise routine is entirely too hard. I modified but still extremely hard for a beginner.
I felt the same way, Rose! However, I am hopeful to be able to do this video in the future. I think it was too hard as a beginner particularly because the first day this video is assigned for on the calendar comes with another ab workout and I was already wiped out from that one! Keep going, you are doing great :)!

I was super tired and unmotivated yesterday so I ended up not doing this video. But I was feeling a lot better today and decided to add this video to the regular day 17 videos. I’m so glad I got through it, even if i had to wait.

I’m doing the beginners calender at the moment, and if I can’t do a move for the abs, I just do roll ups.
Jenny this is a smart thing, thanks 🙂 I started the beginner a week ago (I’m just watching what awaits me in advance) and for now i found that i can’t lift from the mat my shoulders and my legs at the same time, so I’m just doing the exercise with the legs fixed some cm from the mat or vertically. I still have to improve this…
Feeling discouraged. I had to take breaks in other videos while Cassey kept going, but this is the first video where I could not do the moveslike Cassey at all. 🙁

This is really annoying but she keeps pretending we’re gonna stop but she doesn’t!!! I’d much rather if she just honestly told us that there were x moves left and not fill my abs with dissappointment. 🙁
