Shoot Day StReSs | 57 of 90

Hey guys,

It is 10:50 PM on Friday and I pretty much just finished eating dinner after an intense 12 hour day of shooting – running on 3 hrs of sleep!

So, remember how yesterday I told you that the shoot started falling apart the night before?? Well, it fell a part even more.

YAH.

One of our camera guys said he was throwing up at 9 PM last night and wouldn’t be able to make it. And then a huge brush fire started about 10 miles away from our shoot location. This morning the sky was raining ash and everyone’s clothes started smelling like cigarettes. Some people were over 1 and a half hours late to the shoot and it seriously delayed our start time.

BUT.

It was the most incredible day ever.

Like, oh my goodness. Amaze incredible!!!!

The energy was infectious. The vibes were beyond positive. And the POPsters I got to meet were SOOOOOOO cool! We all were cheering each other on, dancing, laughing, and just being so real and vulnerable with each other.

We ended up getting everything that we needed and finished literally right before our location rental time was up, so all was good. PHEW. I am def gonna sleep in on Saturday!!!

Anyway, I am hoping to share these videos with you before the end of the year. I am very excited about them. I hope they are impactful to you and to a lot of women. Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes pic.

I’m not going to do my traditional meals post today because I am too tired to blog. I’m trying to make sleep my priority! TRYING. So, will resume planned programming tomorrow 🙂

In the mean time, wanna see some new choreography I learned in heels class?

And yah. The losing followers thing is real.

Whatever. NIGHT! Love you!!

Ah, this is a diverse body kind of video!?! I’m so excited!!! Good thing everything turned out great AND fun in the end. Watching that video much later than I should have had, I can tell that most of the moves were on the video you uploaded last time. I actually enjoy these videos a looot!

I love the Heels videos! I also love dancing! You’ve inspired me to look up a heels class in my area and I was so happy that I found one close by me! I’ll be going next week 🙂

Followers Shmollowers. Who cares about that. Considering you’re in a business, it is a bit on the important side to have them, but your life and health is more important than that. I’m glad you decided to put yourself first and not let the masses rip you apart trying to control everything you say or do. <3 Keep it up! You're a strong superwoman!

I wonder if followers are leaving because they don’t realise that @Blogilates is YOU (a person) rather than PopPilates (a workout), and think that the dance videos are ‘off brand’ because they’re not Pop or PIIT? I love that following your account feels more like following a real person now but maybe others are expecting more Pop/PIIT workout content, if that makes sense?
Personally, this type of dance workout doesn’t resonate with me as I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing those moves, but I’ve actually been inspired to look at other types of dance class – I’m going to try out tap and jazz, so thank you, Cassey!

  8. On a scale of one to ten, how much does losing followers bug you?

I really enjoy the new style you brought to your feed AND you are a huge example for me to be true to myself. I am sooo much looking forward the videos, knowing you, it will be great👍👍👍

    1. I am Liv8ng for the new style ! Who cares about the the followers?! They weren’t true anyway. 🙂

    2. Laura says:

      Yes yes yes! 👏

I find it weird that you would lose followers like that. But I guess it’s just not their cup of tea. I personally like it. But different strokes for different folks. I don’t agree with everything you do but I still follow you because I like you and appreciate the content you bring. As with everything, but especially when you’re dealing with art or creativity there will be people that don’t like what you do. But there will be many people that love it and what you share will resonate with them. You should do what you love because you love it, not because of what others might think of it. If others like it, great. If some don’t, forget them. I know that sounds kind of harsh but you are better off without them. Everything happens for a reason. This must be pruning season for your followers. If you can’t be your authentic self to your followers, whatever content you put out will be fake and you won’t be happy. You’ll just be performing to appease everyone but you literally can’t please everyone. Continue to be yourself and do what you love because it is very inspirational.

    Hey Cassey,
You should be really proud of you for pursuing your projects and goals this way besides obstacles.♥️
I have to admit that this heel dance is something I wouldn’t do because I believe I personally wouldn’t feel so comfortable doing it.
But here’s the thing :even though that’s probably not my favorite way of being active I don’t see why I should unsubscribe for that reason. Of course I’m happy when I see fitness ideas which I’d love to include for myself too. But I strongly believe that everyone likes different fitness activities and therefore will maybe pick or like different ideas from your feed.
I think this doesn’t have to mean that we all should do and like heel dance.
I see it more as an encouragement to explore the great effect dance can have regarding the physical as well as mental state. It doesn’t have to be heel dance , but why not try another one ?
Also , I feel like you can take this as an idea to try new and probably not so common things out ..
As I said, I believe that wouldn’t be my favorite, but If that is something what makes you feel happy and good , there is absolutely no reason to stop it 💪🏼
What you show us doesn’t have to be in all parts a solution for all of us. You are as an unique person as everyone and that’s perfect .
If we don’t like one special thing, maybe we can focus more on the ideas which are behind them and get there the inspiration to start and pursue our own personal health and fitness journey..🧘🏽‍♀️
PS: and there are so many of your videos I just LOOVE at that had helped me finding back to strength !!♥️

Why does posting your dance videos make you lose followers?

  13. Felice says:

    Dear Cassey,
This is completely off topic, but I just wanted to thank you for being real with the people that are inspired by you. You really are not an influencer but an inspiration to me and since you started your journey I have tagged along. I have not lost any weight whatsoever but I feel like I have grown so much stronger and I just wake up every morning and smile, because I am able to love myself and love my body again.
Thank you so much for being a friend rather than some “perfect” woman out of a magazine!

  14. Emily says:

Oh Cassey!! ‘When it rains, it pours!’ I’m sorry to hear that it was stressful!! But I’m really pleased that you had a good shoot! I can already tell that it will be an amazing video 🙂 hope your weekend is a little calmer! Xx
