Your thigh gap’s not good enough FYI
Your thigh gap’s not good enough FYI
So I’m looking through comments on instagram just to see what questions you guys have and what I can answer. Then I come across this full on conversation about my thigh gap.
“Basically touching.”
“Why is your gap curvy? I want a straight gap.”
“No offense but your gap is weird, it has waves.”
PART 1: WHEN PHYSICAL BEAUTY DEFINES HAPPINESS…
MAN! Really guys? I never even noticed. I’m not in the slightest way offended or hurt (so don’t worry about me – I love my legs) but I am concerned about where our heads are in terms of what beauty means. From time to time, I like to remind you guys about loving your body for what it is every step of the way on your fitness journey, whether you’re looking lose weight, gain weight, or get stronger. A reminder that everything you work for isn’t just for vanity, that only lasts so long. I’m starting to think some people just don’t get it…or don’t want to get it. Look, I’m not gonna be blind because as a certified fitness instructor for over 7 years, I understand that looking good is a big part of fitness industry. I mean, that’s why most people start working out, but where does it stop – when can you finally accept that you’re beautiful and that I’m beautiful?
I know some girls are thinking that once they achieve those pancake flat abs, lose the muffintop, and sculpt the widest gap ever in the history of gaps, then they’ll be happy. Right? But who’s going to guarantee that? Do you think you can go on hating your body until the number between your toes has reached a certain “acceptable” benchmark ? Do you think that when this happens, OMG, all of a sudden life is going to be amazing and you’re going to be the happiest, most successful person ever?
Listen up. Happiness is not a destination. It is an enlightened state of BEING. Some people think that happiness means having lots of money, looking flawless, and being famous. It’s not true. Happiness is living your life with passion and purpose and being peaceful with yourself. To me, true success is being able to reach this state of selfless, honest, raw happiness that isn’t defined by “things.”
I want you to take a moment and disconnect the fact that a physical attribute can bring you true happiness. You’re worth more than the distance between your thighs.
PART 2: NEGATIVITY IN THE COMMUNITY
Now, second part since I’m feeling fiery. I’ve noticed that over the past month, the tone in the Blogilates community hasn’t been as bright, happy, and vibrant as normal. You guys overall, are still amazing, but there’s a slightly different tone. I don’t know what happened. Usually, you guys are really good about helping one another out and being super appreciative. But I’m starting to see negativity. I’m starting to see people feeling entitled and some with no sense of respect for one another.
When working on the 12 Week #Newbodymakeover meal plan with the registered dieticians of WeightTraining.com, I was really pressed for time between creating the graphics for the meal plan PDFs, shipping out journals, filming the Hunger Games workout and working on other secret projects for you. I’m not trying to get credit for how hard I work, but I do want you to understand that when I get comments saying “You promised the meal plan today and it’s not even out. You can’t keep promises,” it really hurts me. Yeah, talk about my body all you want, but when you start attacking my integrity for serving you guys – I, I just don’t even know what to say. A FREE meal plan that most people are charging hundreds of dollars for that’s probably not even written by a registered dietician who has to have a 4 year bachelor’s degree plus an extra 1-2 years of training – and you’re telling me that it’s “so annoying” to have to wait for the password and that you’re just going to leave the community for someone better now because I can’t keep my word.
Oh. My Gawd.
Is it because the community has grown immensely?
I’m not even going to get started on how people have begun to complain about how much work it is to give a twitter follow or like a fan page for a whole 7 days worth of 40 meals. Being called “gluttonous” for this is appalling. Oh yeah, and then saying that “Cassey’s changed. I’m going to go find another trainer who gives free workouts,” in regards to my exclusive video in the app – hmm ok – cuz to my knowledge I’m still releasing full length workouts every Monday on YouTube as I have over the past 3 years. Again, many trainers put such videos behind a paywall in which you need to pay anywhere from $9.99 to $59.99 or more a month just to access it.
I’m not asking for you to bow down and give me your first child guys. I just want you to know that I do these things for you when most people charge because you deserve it. But as a human being myself, I’m affected when my genuine hard work to serve you guys is not met with some sense of gratitude. Negativity encourages me to want to stop.
CONCLUSION
I didn’t want this to become a complain-fest, but I do want to say that if you don’t appreciate being a part of the Blogilates community, don’t bring your negativity here. I’m protecting the sweet, happy, and fun personality that most of us embody. I want to feel comfortable when I come here and I want our POPsters to feel welcome sharing personal stories. We are friends and supporters of one another – not anonymous internet voices bringing each other down.
Alrighty…for the most part, I think I’m preaching to the choir but I just wanted to let you guys know I don’t tolerate any sense of making other people feel bad in our community. So if you see this sort of activity either here, on facebook, the app etc., please feel free to email me directly.
I love you all. Stay happy, stay positive, and know that I think you’re really beautiful 🙂
<3 Cassey
PS – Hope no one felt like I was scolding them! I wasn’t. Was just being firm…you should see me try to debate in real life. I just start smiling awkwardly xoxo

You are a huge inspiration and one of my role models. Please never stop what you do! You are so important and so LOVED! <3
Cassey, please, don’t stop, I’m a beginner and I’m trying my best with the workouts, but all it’s because you motivate me and you make the pilates fun, bright and you motivate a healty style of life not only physical but for the mind and heart too, thank you for your hard work
Um… That way line thing your inner thigh does, isn’t that called… MUSCLE? Because I kind of dig it.
*wavy
Cassey, I think I speak for a lot of us here in the community when I say that you are so inspiring , motivational, and a GREAT role model, especially for young girls! The “requirements” to be seen as beautiful in today’s culture/media are ridiculous and harmful to the well-being of people. As an insecure middle schooler, I was hardly overweight but just a teeny weeny bit bigger than the rest of the naturally skinny girls my age. Nobody ever told me that that was okay, and I was still beautiful. I searched for a way to lose weight and have more confidence, but everything was expensive and I couldn’t go to a gym. My body image became a huge sensitive point in my life and I had not way to fix it. Then one day, I found your calendar – and it was free! I quickly printed it out, watched all your videos, and started working out regularly. I no longer felt like I HAD to work out because other girls said I did and judged my body. You helped me realize that working out and being healthy is fun and easy to do, and that I was already beautiful. I was doing it for myself, and no longer to meet the expectations of others. I’m now 16 and still working out and reccommending you to my friends 🙂 The way you handled all of these negative comments was very brave and I applaud you for directly asking people to stop instead of being rude. Please know that people appreciate you and you have helped SO MANY, that this negative energy is nothing to how the popsters love you. Stay amazing Cassey! <3
Dear Cassey,
You have been my friend for about 8 months now, and though you don’t know me, we have been working out together for some time now :)) I am a med student and i have a really weird schedule (like reaaally weird). I leave home about 7am and get back home at 8-9pm. I would like to have the time to go the gym but I can’t really find any open by the time I get home, so I have come to apreciate so much the gym you have given me in my own home. I can work out for one hour a day, 4 to 6 days a week (depending on how much time I have or my mood) and I am very very grateful for all the work that you are doing to help us be the best we can be. Thank you so much!
I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work and for sharing your infectious enthusiasm for getting fit and keeping a positive attitude about life. Even though I belong to a great gym with fun group exercise programs, I find myself wanting to just workout with at least several of your videos a day, just because you are always so upbeat and motivate me to work harder all while having fun! Your workouts are definitely worth way more than the nominal fee you charge on the app exclusive videos. Please stay as happy and positive as you always are! You are such an inspirational and beautiful person, inside and out!
Cassey you’re amazing and i can say that i do your workouts not because i wanted to have your body just like i used to do in other workouts i liked the way you are as a person and the positive way you changed peoples life, is like i’m working out with a friend, Cassey you’re amazing girl, dont let them put you down, there’s people that are NEVER okay with something, they always gonna take some more and dont care about the others and the hard work, please never give up on us, you’re amazing girl ♥
hi Cassey!!!! i love you and your workouts and most likely, anyone who has the nerve to sit here and say otherwise is just trying to steal your glow! Your workouts litterally take up my nights and i love them!! so thank you for being you and for sharing your love for working out with me and everyone else who is totally against your haters. #popsters #blogilovers
I just read this now. So I will only say, I completely agree with you. I agree that beauty is from withing, but it is only after I started doing pop pilates, that I actually started to love my body. I am still on my journey, to healthy lifestyle, nutrition, exercise etc. I have just started, but if I feel confident in my body today, you get most of the credit, Cassey. TQ 🙂
Hey Cassey, I do your workouts every day and I want you to know that I truly do appreciate all the hard work you put in for us popsters; I have so much respect for you and love you SOO much so please don’t let any of the stuff you mentioned EVER bring you down, okay?! You are brilliant and amazing and didn’t deserve any of the horrible comments you mentioned in this post; keep smiling because your legs ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Hope you have an amazing day and keep doing what you love from Sophie xxx <3
Thank you so much for posting this Cassey! You are such an inspiration among soooo much negativity and I could not have more respect for what you do and how much time you take in coming up with AMAZING workouts and still staying so happy, outgoing, and beautiful! Keep doing your thing and spreading fitspo for all of us. (It’s people like you that make this world a good place, keep shining girl! 🙂
xoxo
Thank you so much for all the hard work you do, Cassey. I’ve only been watching some of your Youtube videos since last Saturday, but I’ve been inspired to work really hard at losing weight and getting my muscles all nice and toned up! I’d rather go nowhere else for training lessons and I SO appreciate your posting lesson videos on YT for FREE! I can’t afford much in the way of body building equipment or gym memberships, so these videos are terrifically perfect! I also appreciate your encouragements on the videos. It’s so hard when I’m just starting out and that [good] burning sensation is new to my screaming muscles. I’m like “Let’s stop, please!”; but your positive reinforcements keep me going. You push us to the limit, but if you didn’t make us push that limit, we’d never get past first base. I personally thank you for ALL the time you spend helping us. And honestly, people who say you don’t have great legs are idiots! You’re in SHAPE, girl. 🙂
Thank you so much for this post, and please don’t worry about getting “fiery” about it! This issue makes me so mad it’s ridiculous. I am basically a big sister to a girl who just turned 13- one day she came to me asking how big my gap was and what she could do to make hers bigger. I cried for her- she is small and slender and beautiful- and she is still being made to worry about such a stupid insignificant thing. Some women have wide set hips and will always have a gap, even if they aren’t in shape, while others have close set hips and will never have a gap no matter how hard they try for it. Beauty doesn’t come from a thigh gap or anything like it, it comes from being strong and healthy and comfortable in your own skin. I wish all of these terribly negative people could understand this and stop encouraging such extreme body hate when very young and impressionable girls are listening to all of it and learning to do the same.
Thank you GIRL!!! Love you and thanks for the encouragement! I hope I can meet you in real life some day! I cried when I read you say I love you all. Stay happy, stay positive, and know that I think you’re really beautiful 🙂
xoxox I did week 1 of 12 week body makeover and LOVED it!
Preach it, Cassey! <3
Thank you 🙂
Hi Cassey, ı am thousands of miles away from you but ı can tell that you have a beautiful soul.Your positive energy makes us stay dedicated and positive. You are inspirational.Thank you for everything.
So thankful I found this post.
Happiness is a state of being. You can’t say you’ll only be happy once you reach a certain number on the damn scale. Weight loss is a life style change and journey. A day to day thing. Happiness is also day to day. I can’t just keep looking in the mirror and checking for changes. I can’t wait to get to a certain weight before I feel happy. My goal is to let myself feel happy now. Right now, muffin top and all.
Thank you Cassey.
Woop! Go Cassey! You do great work and the unnecessary negativity is just silly. :’)
Hi Cassey! I love your Workouts !You are funny, joyous, dynamic and beautifl. Please don’t stop!
I’m Italian and follow you by 2 years, your workout help me with great results!!
Sorry for my english >.< you are a great personal trainer!Thaks Cassey for help us!
Hi Cassey,
As a mom of two crazy little boys, struggling to get healthy and lose the extra weight–THANK YOU! Your energy and kindness is so inspiring and your workouts are amazing. I can’t wait to do the 12 week slim down (I’m a little late, but better late than never!!) and show you my results!
All the best to you for your service and gracious heart to give freely from your own wealth of knowledge!
<3
Hey, you are amazing. Your posts are hysterical, I love your honesty. You have my full support, I just found you and your videos last week and I am huge fan. You really inspire me. Don’t let internet trolls get you down. XO
Hi! I just wanted to say that your workouts are the most fun and inspirational of any I have ever tried! And I think they’re actually working 😉 your body is beautiful! We’re all just jealous!
Pfft ‘weird thigh gap’ how ridiculous, You are AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL!! Omg!!
I am very grateful for you! I found you on Youtube searching for ab routines. I am loving your videos and am starting with the abs. I did a little bit last night and much more today, although I can’t even get through the whole routine yet. I still feel it though! Ouch! I walk miles every day (literally) and have been doing Callanetics but those are mainly good for the butt, and my abs needed serious work. Now I’m sore but happy because I know I’ve done some real work. Thanks, Cassey!
Cassey, I’m glad to know that you love your body and encourage that others should as well. I remember your speech on loving your body from the “Muffintop Massacre” workout. You will definitely see results! Oh, and I’m sure you, as a certified fitness trainer, know that your wavy thighs means you have muscle definition there. I’ve done martial arts since I was seven; I have a little bit of a wave too. Beautiful job!
Anyway!
As for the thigh gap, you either get it being super underweight or you get it depending on your bone structure. I’m fit and nice and slim and I don’t have one. A lot of people I know don’t. It’s proven that bone structure determines whether you have one or not. That’s why thigh-gaps have become an issue among teenage girls’ health. Also, you are considered bow-legged, which isn’t bad at all! So many people are! It’s mainly when your feet are together and your knees don’t touch! This inclines you to have a thigh gap. It’s less possible and visible on people who are not bow-legged. To those people out there who want one … there’s a huge chance you WON’T get one. I wanted one and with my small frame, I can’t even get one. Some models don’t even have it, yet they are purposely under-weight. Please, everyone, LOVE your body and STAY FIT! Men don’t care about a thigh gap at all. TRUST ME.
YOU GO CASSY!!! I think it’s so amazing that you do so many things to get people healthy and make them feel included in something like a community. And who ever complains should really just realize that they are not the only people in the world and you have feelings and stuff too!!! 🙂
Oh and P.S when I started doing your video’s I was like “HOT DAMN she’s gorgeous” so I have no idea what this stupid thigh gap thing is about!!
When i looked at your pic i thought your body look stunning. I dunno what “thigh gap” means and i looked it up. I thought guys want hips and butt but i didnt know they want a….pelvis With 2 sticky legs not together. Sounds a little scary. So dont listen to the pelvis bone fags. I think your gorgeous and keep yourself healthy. Dont change for no one else.
i completely agree! curves are beautiful and more people should be embracing their natural curves! i choose having hips and a butt any day.
As more people see this site it will bring in more negative people who want fast fixes and expecting perfection (which only exists in photoshopped stuff) You had every right to say what you did and you said it very well. If people cannot encourage each other and be of help then they need to go elsewhere.
Please keep up the great work that you do. You give so much of yourself and your time so that other can benefit….thank you for that. It is one of the things I respect about you. You are an amazing woman. Keep shining that positive light!
I just wanted to thank you for doing these videos. I have just started doing these. I was noticing on my 12 hour clinical days that I was dead by lunch time. Alternating that with sitting in classes for 8-9 hours and community service, I have felt completely drained and cranky and hating the world. That is nothing like me so I figured that maybe working out and eating better would help. It’s been a few days in, and I already feel more energized. Also my mind feels less foggy. Thank you for making this so available for people like me that are living on a purely student loan budget. Also for helping me study? Idk why but study breaks with your videos actually help me to remember the material better. You’re awesome! 🙂
Hi Cassey! Omg please don’t let the negativity get to you. I’m relatively new, I just started your Beginner’s Calender this month. I’m one of those people who likes to veg out in front of the tv and eat chips and ice cream but YOU and your happy-go-lucky attitude and the EFFORT you put into giving strangers free workouts and meal plans and workout calenders… I mean come on! It doesn’t get any better than this. You’re helping people across the world and those that are grateful, are incredibly grateful. Those are the people whose lives you are changing and I’m guessing that’s exactly what you set out to do.
So ignore the negativity and those trying to get you down, they have other issues they need to deal with. You just be YOU because we all love you for it!
Thanks again for getting this couch potato off the couch! <3
Dear Cassey,
This is my official hello to you! I am a relatively new Popster (about three weeks in, 6 days a week!!). First and foremost, I want to tell you how appreciative I am of all your work. As a poor college student, I am stretched for cash. I used to swim at the YMCA but can no longer afford EXPENSIVE gym memberships during my last semester in nursing school. I felt my options were very limited because of this (and the bitter cold isn’t good for jogging).
But I needed some exercise badly! The stress of school often causes me to eat too much and too many BaD ThInGs. I have to say, my first day of Blogilates, I was feeling extra crumby. It was hard work (and I didn’t do a very good job) but I felt just a little bit better than before the workout. Doing these workouts and receiving your wonderful encouragement has helped me not only to stay in shape and strive for health everyday but also has increased my academic drive and decreased school-related stress (AND I eat better when I’m happy :D).
All in all, I feel better and my life is better everyday that I stay active.
Thank you for reigniting my ambitions.
SIDE NOTE: I also REALLY appreciate your focus on strength training. Girls (and me included) feel that it is not sexy/ feminine to be strong. I used to just do cardio, thinking that muscles are not important. I just wanted to be small and thin. But I have to say, it feels and looks good to have some definition to my body and feel like I can hold my own (not that I don’t have some areas to improve on :))
So again, thank you!
Oh, and one last thing- Don’t worry about those negative bloggers. They aren’t in it for the right reasons and probably have some self-image or emotional problems to take care of. I am here, and I am saying you and your program has empowered me EVEN THOUGH I DON’T HAVE THE $!
I’ll be seeing you,
Katelyn <3
Hey Cassey! 🙂
First I want to thank you! You are a fantastic fitness trainer and you bring happiness and fun in our tough workouts. For this I -and of course we- love you! You are so motivating! Keep it up! 🙂
Don’t be disappointed about what some people might say. Most of us POPSTERs are so thankful for what you’re doing for us and for our fitness. If people are saying such rough things just don’t feel devensive! They don’t saying this because of you but only because of themselves.
Keep on doing those wonderful workouts and just stay being that excited, happy person you are!
Greetings from Germany!
XO
I LOVE your workouts Cassey! I do the 5 minute challenges every day.
The way the world is turning makes me sad. God bless all of you 🙂
IF YOU LEFT THE BIG SCREEN I WOULD CRY! Please do not stop making these videos. For every ONE negative person there are dozens more that LOVE you. Your videos keep me energized and happy just seeing you on my screen. I keep that energy with me throughout the day. Brush those haters off and keep those videos coming because there are so many of us out here that need you in our lives.
P.S. I’m glad that you take the time to make your vids and to read the comments 🙂 Thank you!
Hey Cassey,
you have changed the way i view fitness! i used to go to the gym and lift weights and feel like it was torture all the time (like you, id rather lift than do cardio hehe), so when i discovered your website, whoa let me tell you — i look forward to working out and i’m smiling the whole way. Also I have started to eat clean, your recipes are the bomb!! I cannot thank you enough.
Don’t worry about those other people, cause lady you are doing right by us here. Thank you so much for your dedication, enthusiasm and amazing drive — I already feel like a better version of myself… thank you thank you thank you
Cassey, first I wanted to thank you, your workouts and whole way of healthy living and your enthusiastic encouragement has really made me feel happier about life and me in general. I think you are amazing at what you do and i’m so grateful for everything! If people are complaining then good for you for speaking out, what you do works wonders everywhere, keep doing what you love!
Izzy xoxo
I love you! <3 I'm so thankful for you! You're such a sweetheart! I send you all my blessings! Keep smiling and stay strong! We are all here for u, like you have been for us for such a long time ((;
xoxo ~ Agnieszka
Cassey, I only just found your Youtube channel last week. From what I’ve seen, you are marvelous! Thank you for all you do! You’re a regular part of my day now and I’ll follow you until you decide to stop posting! Much love!
Cassey, seriously, I love your energy and I love your smile 🙂
You make amazing fitness videos, they’re great for exercising, and more importantly, your videos are so full of positive energy and it makes me feel so much more alive!
I hope you stay this way, becuase I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels encouraged after watching one of your videos YouTube.
Cheers!:D
Hey Cassey!! I wanted to point out that even from just reading this post, one can see that you really CARE about us and what you do. For you to have to take time out of your day to address nonsense like this, is the point in it itself!!! I doubt that other successful trainers and instructors are going to take time for this, they would probably just ignore it and not say anything because in the end, who is the true happy one? you or the complainer? but you’re so amazing in that you are a great person and one of a kind instructor. I dont mind one bit about late posts or passwords because I know youre truly busting your ass for me and everyone else following you <3
Hi Cassey! Thank you sooo sooo much for this post. You made me realize that I don’t have to look perfect to be happy. You’re AMAZING in everything that you do and you bring so much happiness into my life <3 Don't let the haters bring you down because you are BEAUTIFUL in every single way and you make our community feel beautiful as well. Thank you!
Don’t worry Cassey, there are plenty of us POPsters out here who actually appreciate you and what you do. You’re amazing. You don’t have to do ANY of this for ANYONE, you do it because you want to help other people. For certain people to criticize that its just unbelievable. Just do it for the the people, like me, who actually appreciate you. x
OMG! I would kill for your legs! Which is what i am trying to do and you have inspired me and many. Thank you! As a 17 year old, image is everything. But i am doing this to keep myself healthy and fit and to love my body and all its curves not just because someone says i don’t have a thigh gap. I couldn’t say Thank You enough. ^^ Sending you love all the way from Malaysia! <3 <3 <3
Even though I just started I am LOVING your program. I never would’ve thought I would find such a great program completely free (because I can’t pay for the gym myself). This is also why I appreciate you so much. Please please please continue your great work because there’s A LOT of people that do appreciate you, as I see when reading the comments!
Please, please, do not let the nonconstructive, unreasoned negative comments affect you. Please. What you do is absolutely amazing and I’m so grateful for you doing it. Anyone unable to see the generosity, sincerity, and love with which you do this is beyond ignorant and likely in possession of a low IQ — which may be a low blow to say. Sorry. But everything else I just said! x
Cassey, I just wanted to say that your workouts have changed my lifestyle and body and gave me the confidence and happiness that I didn’t have before! thank you so much for putting so much of your time for the Blogilates community. You teach us the importance of being healthy and I really love that your workouts are free and easy to do at home, proving that being healthy and fit can be free! we all really appreciate all the hard work and effort you put in for us, and I think you’re a true hero!! xoxo
For one thing I think that it’s amazing that you do all of this work and keep such a cheerful disposition. Its such a rare personality type that is so full of energy and positivity AND generosity, that it’s just so selfish and disrespectful to whine about such trivial things…we trust you to help us on our fitness journeys, and you trust us not to throw a tantrum when you happen to get overworked…it’s just sad that some just want all this free instant gratification. And thats never going to be the type of attitude to transform one’s body and lifestyle. I like how quirky you are and all the personal touches and humor you add to the workouts and everything else. It makes me feel like I know you personally, which is why I’ve stuck with you for so long! I’ve seen other trainers online that are so commercial and dry, and it just doesn’t make me feel motivated.
Also I think your body is beautiful! You look healthy and are such a good role model because you make everything attainable and you encourage PERSONAL growth. And yes you have changed but not in a bad way. If you never changed it would lead me to question your own ability for personal growth. Mind you, you are still the quirky, crazy, lovable person that your loyal fans will always adore.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work! I would be a much softer, chicken nugget filled version of myself without you <3
Cassey –
I just want to let you know that I often think about how much effort you put into what you do. You are a working beast… You put in the effort ALL OF THE TIME. You are headed to the top because of it – I am forever a follower of yours. Your personality is truly unique and like a breath of fresh air. Entitlement seems to be an issue with a lot of people. It seems everyone thinks they should get everything for nothing and complaining has gotten out of control. Thank you for what you do for all of us – you are one of a kind!
– Candace
People are crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for your generosity!!!! We fully appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! && We think YOU’RE beautiful too!!! 🙂
Cassey you are amazing and you do such great and hard work for the Blogilates community. Thank you so much for doing what you’re doing and for helping me in my fitness journey.
Cassey, I love your blog! I read it all the time. Lately I’ve been hearing a lot about this new thing, “bikini bridges”. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it too, but I was wondering what you think? Personally, I think it’s up to you if you want it or not. As long as you’re getting that “bridge” in a healthy way, then why not? Some people think it’s hot and if it makes you look and feel good, then there’s nothing wrong with that.
PS: You’re beautiful however you are, baby. <3
Cassey, I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do for us!! I am still a beginner, I’m only 15, but you give me hope that I can reach my goal of getting fit and maintaining that way. Most girls my age are tiny, but I already have a fairly slow metabolism. I used to get bullied about being slightly bigger. Watching your videos and doing your workouts helps me realize that as long as I am being healthy, I don’t have to worry about what other people say, I just have to do what makes me happy. This year I really want to stick with the calendar, and I want to be able to say I’m a dedicated POPster. Thanks so much for everything, I greatly appreciate it!!!!
Hi Cassey,
I just want to thank you, really. I had problem with anorexia and overtraining since I was 14 ( i’m 21 now). I always fight on, not too bad now, but it was hard for me to go at the gym and stay healthy, or just have the motivation to eat enough, an then YOU. You look so great, and happy, and I like the way you are talking about self esteem, weight and everything, I like your program, it secure me in Ok, i don’t have to do more, I did what I was supposed to do ( i follow you program)… And I know that if I want to be able to do it, I have to eat right and enough…. Thank you so much:D! And keep going, there will always be negative person and that sucks… But there will always be the one who truly appreciate what you are doing ^^! Thanks a lot!
Hey Casey,
I’m sure a lot of people have already said what I’m about to write, but thank you so much for what you’re doing! You ARE appreciated by so many people and have been inspirational to a lot of us. I don’t want to repeat too much so just thanks! Please keep doing what you do! 😀
I’m in shock! I just can’t believe some people… Cassey, Please keep up your amazing work and your positive infectious attitude. Best wishes for 2014!
Hey Cassie !!
First of all I would like to wish you a very very happy New year 2014 ful of happiness and joy and success and health !!
Second, I would like to thank you for all the hard work you put in your workout videos and posts, you take the time to make great routines FOR FREE so THANK YOU SOOO MUCH !!!
Third, as for the people who criticize or post negative comments, well sc*** them !! they are the kind of people who have nothing better to do, are generally negative people and LAZY !! so if you guys are not happy with wathever Cassie does , nobody is forcing you to continue watching or following her
go out there and someone better if you can but stop spoiling this for the rest of us who really appreciate Cassie and what she does, we chose to follow her because she is an inspirational person, positive and cheerful not bullying others to make herself feel good.
In short, Cassie please ignore the “haters” or idiots out there who couldnt even of half the things you do, as for the “paying” stuff that some people seem to be complaining about : SERIOUSLY ??? do you work for FREE ?? Cassie is just like us, she’s gotta eat too you know with bills to pay and a life to live, she could charge so much for what she does because it actually WORKS but she doesnt or a portion of if so get over it … im sure you spend much more on a pair of jeans or a night out ..
Cassie don’t be discouraged by these negative comments..they are not worth it YOU are !!
Love xoxo…
Hi Cassey,
I honestly can’t believe anyone would question your integrity, dedication, or personality! I don’t even think I need to address the negative comments about your body because they are so not in the spirit of blogilates. You’re an inspiration to so many people, including myself, and we appreciate all you do for the popster community.
I had a really bad day about a year ago, and my sister tweeted a quote at me that I still think of when I get down: “Don’t let the haters stop you from doing your thing” …yes that’s from Kevin G. of Mean Girls. It always makes me smile and I hope it does for you too.
Thanks so much Cassey! xo
Hey Cassey,
I’m new to your blog, a friend recommended it to me months ago and I finally dredged the link back up. I wanted to say, I L-O-V-E your focus on positivity. So important to leading a fulfilling life. Being fit isn’t going to feel very good if you’re still a gray cloud all the time.
Later today I’m going to start the Beginner’s Workout Calender. I’m excited!
You are such an inspiration. First off, you charge NOTHING for tons of videos and recipes and over-all great life advice. These internet trolls will always exist, but thank you for being the person you are and rising above them. They say the horrible things they do hoping to upset you or anger you, but as I’m sure you’re aware, it’s themselves they aren’t happy with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you do for us. It’s more than free workouts that keep us in love with you. It’s the random inspirational quotes and the feeling of acceptance in a world where it is pretty scary to put yourself out there. You give women the ability to workout from home and that gives them a platform to build up their confidence over time. I could go on and on for days, but you get the point. I just want you to know that you are very much appreciated. Thank you again for all your hard work!
~Jen
This thigh gap convo reminds me of a similar conversation my friend and I had with a group of guys one night. We were out having a good time and the conversation came up of when is a girl skinny enough by guy standards, now this was like 5-6 years ago so I have no recollection of how or why this topic came about. The guys started sharing their opinions and one guy said “when their thighs don’t touch.” All of the sudden the other guys began saying “ya that too.” My friend and I awkwardly checked ourselves to see if our thighs were touching, embarrassed to think that these guys we were hanging out with thought we were fat. Guys can be dumb. They judge us harshly and a lot of us work out just to be considered attractive by others. That is why it is so important to have a community like blogilates, where we are here to support one another and keep each other motivated to be active and healthy.
We should be especially thankful that this amazing woman has decided to share her time, energy, and talent to help us achieve our goals. These days nothing is free in life, and everyone seems to be trying to get you to buy something or share all of your personal info just to get a one week free trail, but this website is free. Its created for us, and in many ways by us. Cassie takes our suggestions, she listens to our needs and creates workouts and meal plans accordingly.
Those of you who feel like your body is so perfect that you would negatively comment on someone’s thigh gap, move off the website because obviously you don’t need it. For those of you who are complaining that Cassie’s hard work is not good enough, go find a different trainer. Go to a gym and pay $50-100 per SESSION. Maybe then you will truly appreciate what this website has to offer.
Thank you Cassie for all you do. 2014 is going to be GREAT!!
just read this from the sculpted legs workout. which im abouttt to do. you’re a champ. thanks for being brave and its scary ppl think ur thigh gap isnt goood enough. having one would just be nice =P
on another note. i was watching my diet yesterday but skimped so much on meals i binged at like 2-3am ( -.-) feel silly now.
thank you for all your hard work, passion, honesty, and support. it is greatly appreciated. please keep doing you Casey! you are awesome!
your thighs are wonderful even if they were SPIKY for god’s sake instead of curvy and no matter how exclusive your videos become, they will still cause me a lot of pain so dont you worry <3 love you and thanks for everything!! happy new year 🙂
Cassey I love you, please keep up doing all these fantastic things for us! Hola desde Colombia 🙂
Wow, what?!?!?!?!?!? Cassey, you’re amazingly generous and your body is fantastic! You don’t owe us anything and yet, you still provide us with your help. I can’t believe some people have the audacity to be negative here. Ignore them and keep doing your thing. Thank you soooooo much for being this kind to us! <3
Hi Casey,
please keep up the good work, and don’t bother with those who try to drag you down.
I admire you, you give us so much and are always up-beat! So many of us have been inspired by your work, and it’s fun to work out with you (even though you’re a fierce trainer!) 🙂
Those who criticize you could try a little more giving, and a little less wanting.
Anyhoo, have a fantastic new year’s eve!
XO
I can’t beleive people are so negative. i sensed a bit of distance in the community a while back while on the app. so i didnt go on the app for a while but its back to normal now and all fuzzy, bubbly and happy! i consider all popsters my workout buddies. It does seem strange that such a thing could happen in our community.
But you know what, thank you for everything Cassey you’ve made working out sooo much easier im starting on Jan 1st and im going to lose all the excess weight ive been trying to lose for the past 3-4years. i know i can do it and so can everyone else thanks to you.
Hi Cassie!
I only want to say that I absolutely LOVE blogilates, and that I look forward to work out every day. I feel a lot stronger and more flexible since I started just before Christmas. I have struggled with injuries for a very long time so the blogilates work out were the first work out sessions I have had in years. It is so much fun, and I love watching the videos. I wish you well, and only well, for the New Year, you deserve it!
Lots of love,
One of your many male fans
Hello Cassey!
I just wanted to toss in my two cents. You are an amazing woman! Your website and videos are wonderful and fun. You are beautiful and do not need to change anything about you. Thank you for working so hard and allowing us access to you wonderful and FREE video and plans.
You have helped me become more confident, appreciate and love my body. Thank you again.
Andrea
Wow, a woman who is successful, KIND, and STRONG. Just… wow. Sometimes I feel like fun and kind also equals “pushover,” but you, ma’am, are proof that you can be confident, but not overbearing in the least. It is very refreshing to have a lady like you on the internet as a role model.
Ahhh I love you so much Cassie! You have literally changed my life!!! I started doing your workouts 6 months ago and before that I never truly LOVED my body or was proud of it. I used to think that if I could only loose 20 pounds I would be happy. But I’m so glad to see that you’re promoting what I realized my first few years in college: happiness happens when you want it to! That is so so important. I love how you promote healthy bodies and minds AND attitudes! I always appreciated my body for what it was, but doing your workouts have made me feel a deeper connection. I feel like not only does my body look stronger, I FEEL strong and I believe in myself.
Don’t listen to the haters Cassie. You are so many people’s inspiration (including myself) and you are gorgeous! I have a wavy thigh gap too and I’m dang proud of it!
Finally had a chance to read this post, I am shocked. Cassey this blog and all that you do is amazing and has really helped me. I am just so grateful to have discovered Blogilates and now I try to share it with anyone and everyone who will listen to me talk about it!
I even get my whole family (plus some cousins) to join me when I do the workouts.
Thank you for providing such wonderful resources for us!
Also best part about Blogilates videos, they make me laugh so hard when I work out and not take myself so seriously!!
you have inspired a lot of women into believing in themselves and challenging them as well. to the part of them loving themselves, that they have to learn on their own esp if they can’t get a specif body type out of their minds. but for me you are super special and many heartfelt thanks for inspiring me into loving fitness 🙂 loving my body 🙂 pushing myself and being healthy!! you are truly awesome woman!
Thanks for posting this Cassey! People need to be reminded that loving yourself is more important than your size.
I just found blogilates after a very stressful move straight out of college to a new town into a new career. I had let myself get out of the habit of working out and these videos are helping me get back on track. So this stressed greenhouse manager says many thanks for all the hard work that you do in helping us be healthy!
Hi Cassey,
I just want to say THANK YOU! You’re already perfect and it’s amazing that you put all this work into helping others. Please don’t let the criticism bring you down. Your attitude is the only reason I ever started to work out and care about my body. Hopefully you won’t need to write any more of these post but I’m glad you let us know how you feel.
Thanks!!
Cassey, I think you are just amazing! With your help, I managed to overcome my eating disorder and started training along with your free full length workout. You have really helped me in my life! Without you, I don’t think I will be able to send you a comment, probably I will be hospitalized due to eating disorder. It was your positive power lifted me up . Thanks cassey, just don’t care what they say. I will always by your side!
Love you!
I am so sorry to hear about all this negativity, Cassey, and while I’m not doing the meal plan at the moment, you’re such an inspiration and it’s thanks to your workouts that I’m feelings happier and healthier. I hope that all this negativity stops, you really don’t deserve it. Peace <3
Cassey,
I am on day four of your beginners calendar, (which is AWESOME by the way), so I haven’t been apart of this community for very long. But when I watch your videos, I definitely get a smile on my face! There will always be some people who are negative, but this community definitely shows that most people are not this way! Thank you for everything you do! Oh, P.S. I have a ‘wavy’ thigh gap too, and I think it is definitely beautiful!! 🙂
Hi Cassey, I have just discovered your blog and I think it is inspirational! I too am frustrated with all the negativity on the social network sites as it shows a really ugly side of human nature. I hope that you will not let it continue to feel passionate about the things that you do. Keep it the great work!
i love you cassey 🙂
you really keep me being motivated
em cam on chi nhieu hihi
Cassey, I can’t believe someone had said that to you!!!!! Just ignore them, NEVER stop doing your amazing videos, they are awesome and for sure make a beautiful change in all the girls in here. You Inspire others to really feel worth it, and see that we are actually gorgeous and deserve something better. With all your videos you change lives, not only the body shape or the scale’s number; IS SOMETHING BIGGER, is a healthy worth it lifestyle. DON’T STOP THIS AMAZING JOB!!!!
LOVE YOU AND BLESSINGS!!!
Cassey, I think you’re wonderful, and it shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that all the cool, valuable, beneficial things you offer on your website are offered for free(so stop complaining, people) and from the kindness of your heart. I suppose people feel entitled and there are too many impatient people. I don’t understand why everyone can’t stick to the saying, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” So scold all you need to and put them in their place. If they want to pay somewhere else, let them. Love and Light, A
I’m not able to keep up with your videos. And I had intentions of following your meal plan but got caught up in other responsibilities. I’m still very thankful it’s all free and accessible because when I do have time I can find workout plans and meals that are fun and easy follow. Some people are just forever ungrateful and disrespectful. I’m so sorry they’ve made their way into this community and aimed their negativity towards you. You are amazing and oh so generous that you do all that you do and make it accessible to all. Majority of your fans realize your hard work, time, effort, and even sacrifices as a result of this site and videos. Ignore the Negative Nancy’s and know you are appreciated!
Hi Cassey
You are amazing and your don’t need positive comments to feel so. The negativity can keep coming as they just make you even more stronger. You are a role model to many including myself. Happy Holidays ☺♥☺
Hey Cassey 🙂 your legs are beautifull, i can not understand why some People are being so mean. i personally appreciate everything you do for us POPSTERS. Keep going and stay as pretty as you are <3
Dear Cassey,
Reading your blog, it’s just so inspirational. Seriously, you are such an AMAZING person.
Honestly, you are someone I look up to as a female myself. I don’t know how to do it! Be so happy
And confident all the time. I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do for us, your POPsters
And I have never and will never take things you do for granted because I know you work really hard,
THANK YOU so much for the things you do and being my trainer/ friend/ role model along the way for my
Fitness.
Love, Rebecca xo
P.s keep up the great work you do because even if one day people take you for granted know that I will
NEVER. Take you for granted.
I can’t believe what i’m reading!!! Cassey you are the reason i’m able to smile and feel better those days! I’ve been wanting to change for soooo long but used to give up! However when i came to know about you OMG!!! you are funny and positive that i always find myself SMILING when i workout with you! I’m so thankful for your hard work and if today i’m able to see changes its all because of you! I am really sad that nowadays SOME people don’t realise that you are sparing your precious time, sleep and energy to make others life better! Some people are so selfish and ignorant it’s making me sick! I hope that one day they will realise and appologize! Otherwise i’m proud to say that i’m a member of the POPster family and to read all the positive comments on my Android App forum 🙂
Wow! This was truly inspiring! You’re such a beautiful person, inside and out! Everyone else is just jealous. I LOVE YOU CASSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 You've helped me soo much throughout the years.. knowing that you love and accept who you are makes me want to do the same! 😀
MUAH !! :*
XX- Gemma 🙂
Hi, Cassey !
Long time no see. I remember the first time i stumbled across this community, i couldnt believe it, i found the perf workout mate and it was free!! Over two years Ive followed your workouts, sometimes frequently and all the time, and sometimes when i had time. I went from an unhappy youngster on the edge of anorexia and other eating disorder crap thingies, to one who took responcibiity for my life… not just in relation to excerise, cause i kinda had alot of that from before, but you gave me the spirit back. Everytim ei came home from school, everytime i woke up eraly before school to excersise you were there on my computer, happy and smiling and reafy for the worst types of sessions. but still happy though. hahaha. Now… I havent been so much on your sites for a while, but as i recently was sendt up to play soccer for Norways best team (!!!!) i thought of pop pilates/ blogilates. And suddenly i began with it again. What im trying to say is that, a part of the success ive gotten is owed to you and the community youve made. My journey isnt over yet. Ive still got issues with my eating, and how i see myself, and ive still got some way to go before im even near the best soccer achievements in history( for women), but im a hell of a lot closer than i was one and a half year ago. And I just wanted to say how greatfull i am. This means the world to me, and remeinds me in hard times why i kick my ass every day, why you are smiling in every video. It strickes me that training is fun, it is enlighting, it is heathy and last but not least it GIVES energy more than it takes… And so i am never going to stop, neither should you cassey and so i am trrilled to see you put some of those ungratefull people in place, keep on doing that. theres alot of people whos got your back 😉
Thanks for that email Cassey! I couldn’t agree with you more. I have seen the negativity on your instagram lately and it has been pretty annoying. These mean comments that girls have been posting really doesn’t belong on such an innocent and positive account. I love you and everything you do for us!
Hi Cassey, I just stumbled across your website this evening after I googled “Pilates transformation” and I have spent hours pouring through your amazingly inspiring blog and videos. You are one of those rare and precious people who truly are a gift to treasured. I’ve only just started but wanted to say thank you for all your efforts. I’m sure you have helped pull many young & impressionable girls out of desperate states of not feeling good enough – I’m 36 and sometimes still feel that way, so lucky me to have found your site just now. I just love how your warm nature focuses on inner strength. I can’t wait to get up tomorrow morning and do a few of your workouts, sweat lots and feel the burn. So inspired I can’t sleep now! Wishing you all the very best.
Cassey you’re amazing so generous and so inspiring, I just wanted you to know that I am exceedingly grateful for your time effort and passion,
so glad you’re keeping your beautiful head up chick x
You’re so sweet and nice!!! I appreciate all you’re doing to help us get into shape! I’m on Day 2 and plan to finish this beginners workout calendar and more because you’re so positive and fun to watch!!
Thank you for all you do! You’re seriously amazing!
I had no Idea how much work you put into this. I’m a little ashamed because I tend to take your videos for granted. Thank you so much, cassey!
Seriously this is the best thing I’ve ever heard. So many people on YouTube are afraid to speak their mind because they are afraid to lose viewers. Way to stick up for yourself.
Word!
I wont say much..I will just say that I dont know you but I LOVE YOU and for some reason I feel that you love all of us too..thanks for eeeverything <3
Omg, I can’t believe someone said that and honestly I’m thankful for everything you’ve (Cassey) done because you motivated me to stay active and stay healthy. You have been the most energetic and fun trainer I’ve personally got to know/ watch so I just wanted to say that I really want to thank you.
Thank you for all you’ve dont to us 🙂 and ignore those hurting words, they are just jealous.
btw, You are gorgeous!!!! <3
I honestly can’t believe how people think it is okay to criticize someone else’s body. I’m so thankful for Cassey, she has truly helped me gain confidence on my fitness and happiness journey. And as a 15 year old girl, I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful and inspiring role model! Thank you for everything!
Hey Cassie –
FIRST _ thank you for taking the time out to redefine beauty. I find that there’s a CONSTANT fight for most women to define it according to some physical attribute that will then make them happy or beautiful and it’s just such a lie!! SO THANK YOU for reminding your followers of truth!!
SECOND – Sorry that people have been bringing their negativity here. I bought your DVD and love it. I love the way it targets sections and I’m looking forward to using it more and more in 2014. I love your encouraging spirit even if I don’t always have that level of joy coming to a workout. I can sift through my feelings and realize you’re trying to encourage us.
So thanks…..and what my mother taught me to do when people are negative nellies and just not worth using up all your energy…just say…”Goodbye now and God Bless! ” “_
i just read this and i was like, finally Cassey lost her patience 😀 …. I’ve been seeing the bad comments for a while, it made me angry but on the other side i find others replying on them and stating how rude it was… there are lots of people who appreciate what you’re doing Cassey… so never let it get to you. people are always like this, you can’t expect every person to be good mannered and grateful, its a blessing from God and not every one receives it.
Cassey! Did you really have to write that? You are amazing!! Dont listen to all the idiots that I am sure just give opinions but dont do the great videos you prepare for us. I am soooo thankfull to you! You have changed my body! and made me love hiit videos, can you believe it? Please dont stop uploading incredible videos, i need them!!!!! Love u from argentinaa
Honestly some people feel that they can do some things better than others, they don’t understand how much hard work is put into everything that Blogilates is, and everything that you have given us. So many people are being healthier with great results because of you and it sucks that people are being ignorant and impatient. I say Hear Ye to this blog post and keep doing what you do, even when I don’t feel like working out your videos always encourage me and make me feel so awesomesauceeee 😀
This is really depressing to read, to know that people would say those kinds of things after all of the things you do for us. I really hope that you never stop making videos despite what some of them say. They’re very inspiring, and I’m very distraught over how ungrateful some of these people are. They could be paying hundreds of dollars per month but they get free videos every month. I, personally, totally understand if you can’t do something on time, it’s free and it’s taking up your free time. You aren’t being forced to do it and people shouldn’t make you feel like you are.
You handled them really well regardless and you weren’t afraid to be honest. You also addressed all of the issues with positivity, and that’s what makes you one of my favorite people! Merry Christmas Cassey (and to all of the Popsters as well!)
I like it when you get sassy!! Not only was I nodding my head and agreeing with everything that you said but I was laughing also. You know just how to keep it light and tension free while maintaining your ground. I look up to you not only as a fitness guru but as a female, you are a genuinely kind and caring person. I wish you all the best in all your endeavors! As for the ones who were spreading their negativity I sure hope they realize they can work out and eat right all they want but at the end of the day if you have an ugly heart, your physical appearance means absolutely nothing. There is even a song for people like them it’s called “Step off” by Kacey Musgraves… I think you’d enjoy it 🙂
I don’t even know what to say about the POPsters that complained…. this community has changed my life! It is such a healthy environment, and definitely the only one of its kind that I could find on the internet! Thank you so much Cassey. Most other fitness blogs are super intense, hyper focused on vanity, and don’t recognize fitness as a journey. You really helped me realize the value of health and strength. I feel so capable going into every day!
Hey Cassey,
You wrote this so well! I’ve been an avid runner since junior high, so when I see your “curvy thigh gap” I see a well used muscle 🙂 SO…you go girl! I’ve loved following your blog and started working out with two years ago when my gym pass expired. On a side note: I loved your father day blog, what a sweet daughter you are! Thanks for this post,
Mrs. Davis
and by “Mrs.” I mean twenty-something newly wed who just likes the new title 😉
FYI Cassey I LOOOOVE your gap! It’s one of my kinda-sorta goals. I have one, I just want it to be muscular like yours. It’s a gap from strength– not hunger.
I love you,Cassey.
Your body amazes me, but it’s not just that about you that I love. I love your honesty, your determination, your genuinely bright, bubbly spirit and your generosity. I cannot believe people are complaining and insulting you the way you said, it makes me so angry. You are such a beautiful person, inside and out. Please don’t forget that. Loads of love and thanks xxxx
iiiidk if you’ll see this but as someone who works in website production I completely understand when your hands are tied with projects everyone is crying hysterically for yet no one will die without. (I personally understand the printer issue bc our vendor’s machines went down and we’re going through it right now and no one will take our transfer orders because of the holidays oh my lord the panic in the office right now!) I have to be honest though, I joined up a while ago and never expected you to continue the blogilates community the way you have. I was always waiting for the day the paywall went up because what you’re offering for FREE is just looool we are really getting spoiled. I’m sure because you truly are a selfless, genuine, honest, caring, helpful and happy person you aren’t losing sleep over the money you could be making. I know it’s not a loss for you because you seem the type to enjoy the giving but I wish people could understand how much effort goes into maintaining this community and how quick and simple it would be to flip the switch and turn this into a cashcow. But like I said, anyone who knows you know you’re not in it for that. And for that we should all be exceedingly grateful. I’m sorry people have taken advantage of you and I hope you’ll continue working with the people who appreciate you and are thankful for all the change you’ve inspired in their lives. Hang in there and know we’ve got your back! (and your flawless legs guuuuuurl~~~~~)
OMG! I can’t believe anybody would say such things! Cassey, please don’t leave us! Your workouts are the only workouts that I have actually kept going with! None of the other payed-for workouts are as motivational as yours! Not only are your workouts and meal plans the BEST, but they are PERFECT since I don’t have the time or money to use other ones. Please know that we all love you and appreciate everything that you do for us. Thank you so much!!!!
Cassey,
I’m sorry you have been experiencing so much negativity lately! You are a fabulous person, and you are amazing for all of the things you do for your community! You have every right to be upset with folks for acting as if you are treating us poorly, but don’t let it get you down. They don’t deserve that much power over you.
Keep on keepin’ on!
Cassey I think ur amazing ur always happy, vibrant and encouraging, that’s what I love about you and your workouts, plus their free and you can do them anytime. I would never change to a different instructor because I know that ur the best and I love how u don’t have to pay 100’s of dollars for a gym membership when u can get the best at home. So Cassey don’t let those people get you down if they can’t appreciate you and all ur hard work that’s their problem not yours.
Love from one of ur fellow popsters xx
Omg! Someone said that? I cannot even imagine what I would do if I had received those comments. But you Cassey know exactly what to say in times like this, and you know how to get your message across. You are a great motivational speaker, and fitness trainer. I appreciate everything that you do.
Thanks!!
Hi Cassey,
I’ve been following you for over a year now, and I just wanted to really thank you for being not only a great fitness trainer but that firm motivating and inspirational voice I need to keep going, when I feel a slump or
I feel like I’m letting down. As for those who are telling you, your thigh gap is not good enough, they don’t know anything! Nobody’s perfect and frankly it would be scary if we all had the perfect figure or body – then we wouldn’t have anything to workout or push for. I just wanted to take the time to thank yo for all you do for us in terms of workouts, inspiration, plans and so forth. Keep up the good work and we love you just as you are!!
I am really upset after reading this!
I won’t even start with the comments on your body..
Cassey, you are the happiest, amazing and hardworking person I know!
And if somebody disagrees they must be crazy..
I love your energy, your hard work and the way you are ;3
Please don’t be sad because of one or two people!
Happy Holidays from a POPster in Bulgaria! ;3
HI !!!!! I don’t usually comment but I would like to say that no, your thigh gap is brilliant and healthy. !!!
Don’t listen to them . We ALLLLL LOOOOVVE YOU . You are amazing and the best fitness instructor there is out there . I am from romania and I know TONS of people here that love you !!!!!! Keep up the videos !!!!! Lootts of kisses and hugs -virtually –
Laura Bejan
I’m just going to say this completely and bluntly.. This is a workout community .. We have thigh gap yes, but it’s curvy… With MUSCLE! How it’s supposed to be. Any sort of thigh gap (that’s not genetic or natural) that’s straight and not wavy.. Isnt sexy(to me) , it’s not real trust me ladies(or gents) I worked so hard to get that “straight” thigh gap for years and I starved my self and I got that Gap there eventually but I was so malnourished that I slept all day ,LITERALLY. I wasn’t happy and I found Cassey and she’s turned my life around made me want to be healthy and live healthy and eat healthy and so what if my thigh gap is a little on the curvy side , I can squat more than my boyfriend can and my butt has never been more bodankdonk;) if you think a thigh gap is what’s going to make you sexy or more beautiful or whatever your reason is, you have your priorities all wrong, yes it’s ok to want those slim thigh and nice gap but curve is what gives it it’s definition and gives it that certain pop. I’m sorry if this is too blunt or mean, but it’s honest and I love Casey how she is, I don’t think the media should not dictate how a fitness guru is supposed to look, she eats healthy and workouts out. We all need to stop being to hard on our selves. We are our own worst critic <3
You’re beautiful Cassey, inside and out and you have truly inspired me to be free in life and to believe that I am also beautiful no matter what others say 🙂 keep being you!
I can’t believe these people say those things about your legs!! They’re so perfect and that’s just what muscles look like!! Most people have a thigh gap because they’re too thin and starving themselvss but you have one because you’re toned!!
Also, I think it’s unbelievable what some people say! They’re probably just jealous that you already have a great, toned body, a thing that they have yet to achieve but they’re probably too lazy to get their butts of the couch and work for it, so they blame not being as toned as you on you releasing on exclusive video that’s not for free!! I hate people who act like that out of jealousy. They just don’t realize that it’s actually hard work!!
Wow. Can’t believe someone said that about your legs. You look amazing. Anyways people will always complain it is in out nature. Hold your head up because there are loads of people who are thankful for your hard work and selflessness. <3
Thank you so much for all you do ! You are so very inspiring to say the least 🙂 Honestly i am glad you stick up for not only you but the other people who are being judged. That is hard to find someone like that in this world nowadays. Once again thank you for all the things you do to lighten our days and support us in our struggles. But most of all thank you for being you 🙂 I truly do appreciate all that you do!! Oh and have a VERY Merry Christmas Cassey :D!!!
You tell em girl!!
DON’T LISTEN TO THEM CASSEY! You’re beautiful, thoughtful & I can’t believe people are too ungrateful to see it.
It repulses me and I think it’s ludicrous that people are demeaning you of your “thigh gap”
LIKE REALLY she’s giving us workouts-WE GET A TRAINER who actually cares for our well being and she’s being nice enough to not make us pay for it? REALLY? Uugh some people grinds my gears. SMH.
Cassey, you are definitely the best. I think this is a common ‘Dogville’ issue. Those of you who have watched the movie may understand what I mean. First of all, you give the best of its kind free of charge service and everyone likes it. Then this service becomes a normal standard and they expect more from you with no appreciation at all. Since they think this is what you are REQUIRED to provide them, fish memory! Please do not get overwhelmed with some negative comments. Normally I am not a type of person who comments on the forums/sites. However, this time it is different. I just wanted to thank you and let you know that what you do is great and helps us a lot!
Hi cassey
I am a mother of 4 from Sweden⭐️ in my forties following your calendar(not really your average follower) and loving it. I used to go to the gym to get the propper exersise until I found you site and videos. I canceled my membership yesterday been a slave to your program for nearly 2 monts. You are such an insperation to me and you always bright my days up with your happieness.
I am hooked for life and am going for the 90 days challenge starting the new year.
Your body is absolutely stunning and you gap is perfect. Keep up the good spirit ! You are amazing. I hope one day to be able to post before and after pictures
Remember only God can judge ya, forget the haters ´cuz your POPsters love ya!!! <3
LOL that’s a rehash of a line from Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” XD
BTW Cassey, everyone will get disheartened when there’s people bashing us. But just remember that you’ve done a lot and you can be proud of that. What have your haters done? Sit behind their computer to type those hurtful comments under the blanket of anonymity. ”
You’ve done nothing wrong so don’t give up 🙂 🙂 🙂 We love you. You’re seriously the best instructor in terms of motivating us in your exercise videos. You’ve got a gift 😀
Don’t worry about the internet trolls and haters, Cassey! You’ve changed my life and motivated me in ways I cannot describe. You are the only health guru I follow, and your videos are so cute, charismatic and effective! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! I highly recommend you to all my sorority sisters and family. Keep up the wonderful work. You make being healthy fun and worthwhile.
Cassey, thank you SO much for providing so many amazing and fun workouts! You’re inspiring and awesome — even when you’re pushing us to give 1,000%! I wish those bad apples weren’t spoiling this sweet community for the rest of us. You’re doing amazing work and we all REALLY appreciate it! I’m willing to be those nasty few have even gotten healthier, stronger, and more confident from your videos, too! My brother and sister-in-law have been doing your videos and got me hooked! A few months ago, my fiance and I started doing Blogilates a few times a week in addition to our weight training programs, and we’ve definitely seen a change in how defined we’ve become! Thank you so much for everything that you do! I cannot wait to bust some Blogilates moves when my family all gets together for the holidays this season!!! Thanks so much and stay strong! <3
Wow, it’s astonishing to think that people access all of this FREE information and yet STILL find something to complain about. I found your blog and videos and Youtube and use them regularly and LOVE LOVE LOVE you , your enthusiasm and your workouts. The support system that comes from you alone is incredible! So keep doing you Cassey, I think you’re fantastic and I refer you to any of my friends that want to get healthy in a fast fun way. You’re amazing and a fantastic role model!
you should not pay attention to bitter comments coming from jealous people. You do a lot and those who do nothing have to talk about what others do…. We (my boyfriend and I) love your videos and workout with you every day!!!!!
Big hug from Barcelona;)
You are wonderful and I love you (an am super appreciative of this site, because my budget means I can’t afford gym membership at the moment). It IS appreciated. xxx
Cassey!!!! Hundreds may hate you but MILLIONS LOVE YOU! One of them is me!
You have inspired me sooo much I cannot describe with words.
YOU ARE AWESOME and I know that you know 😉
Cassie you changed my life, and the lives of so many people I know personally. There’s nothing but gratitude here and I hope the positivity will be enough to override the negativity.
Love you girl! Keep on inspiring!
Cassey you are amazing and I really appreciate all the hard work you have been doing, you help so many people and I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done for me and my fitness!!!
Love you lots ! You’re amazing 🙂 and merry merry christmas xD
Cassey this was so true!! I don’t usually write any comments, but this was such an amazing “speech” I just had to write one! Thanks to you I really have a body I am confident with, I have been working out with you since March for almost every day, and I can really see such an improvement in my body. I am much more confident and happy with how I look and it is all thanks to you. Even though I do not participate in this 12 week challenge, just because I really love Christmas time and food, I still work out every day and that is all thanks to you. I really appreciate what you do, you still have so many fans, do not forget it!! :*
Cassey, you are great!
Never stop with what you are doing. You really inspire me and keep me going. You are not just a fitness instructor, you are a life inspirer!
Hey Cassey, i dont always write a comment on your videos, but i really appreciate what you do. thanks for your hard work and all you do. I agree with you with those thigh gaps and everything you write about. And you should be proud of yourself, because im watching you videos all the way from Slovakia! Try to google it! 😀 So thank you very much and dont let other people make you sad 🙂
PS sorry for my english mistakes everyone 😉
Thank you so much for everything you do! You have touched so many lives in such a positive way, with both your workout videos and you’re delicious recipes. I honestly don’t know how much progress I would have made the past few months if I hadn’t stumbled upon your youtube videos. You inspire me to be healthy, and encourage others, without comparing thigh gaps 😉
Thank you so much Cassey, and Merry Christmas!
Cassey you are just greatest person I know. Your videos, blog and everything that you do is fantastic, you inspire me every day to get up and do something. Just forget about all the silly things people may say because people who appreciate you will stand for you. You are awesome.
With love from Europe.
Hi cassy;
please don’t get discouraged by those negative people .you are the best and most generous trainer I found online ,you do full time workouts not just demonstration and you encourage all of us to keep going all the time which gives your workouts a different taste.Plus ,as I do ballet ,these Pilates exercises are the secret of Russian ballerinas and you give them to everyone for FREE.So anyone who denies all your hard work is just one of those “success enemies”,who does not deserve to be in our community!!
You are AWESOME, Cassey! You gave me the motivation to start working out and eating clean. I’ve been following you for almost a year and I’ve seen fantastic results so far – feeling healthier and more energetic. I’m sooo loving all the easy, healthy recipes you’ve given us too. I’m actually starting to like cooking all because of you! So THANK YOU for all your hard work. I wouldn’t have been able to maintain this healthier lifestyle and fitness journey without you.
Haters gone hate! Pay them no mind Cassie when you have soo many people who appreciate EVERYTHING you do. The amount of work you put into blogilates is evident! And I personally couldn’t be more greatful. Thank you so much, having you as a resource has changed my life 🙂
Cassey! You’re like the awesomest, bubbliest, kindest, strongest, most beautiful, encouraging, hard-working UNNIE/BIG SIS IN KOREAN! If it weren’t you, I would’ve been stuck in my pudgy state and hate my body forever ._. now I have more confidence and ROCK HARD ABS >:D
<3<3<3<3<3 Thank you unnie!
Cassey, I totally agree with everything you’ve said. Being healthy really shouldn’t have anything to do with having a ‘thigh gap’, it has to do with how you feel. I definitely agree that having a ‘thigh gap’ or anything else won’t magically make you happy. As far as people being angry with you for not releasing things on time, the whole reason I started following you on YouTube was because everything you do is for FREE. I was so amazed, no one else does that. Since it’s free, I think everyone should be thanking you, especially since you give us SO MANY tools. You’re the greatest!
Casey thank you so much you really do encourage me to do better and you are super cute and goofy and I always end up laughing during the work out even if I start out hating the world and don’t even want to work out…I do have a problem sometimes I will skip like a whole week of the workouts ive been a part of the community for almost 6 months now and I still haven’t finished the beginners workout calendar. I really do care about being healthy but its a real struggle sometimes for me and then its just kind of a downward spiral into like self degrading and its hard to pull myself out of it. and I cant stop eating bread and eating late at night im a really bad snacker:/
I have the same issues with the snacking and everything but hey!
work out harder the next day huh?
I’ve attempted doing the beginners calendar four times now and each time i’ve tried, i end up stopping coz i skip days and days becomes weeks and i just get really demotivated and stop having the motivation to do anything. then i get angry at myself and just start on this self-hate spiral until i wake up the next day and decide to start over…cycle repeats itself eventually…sometimes worse than others but it happens and Cassey reminds us always that we’re each on our own journey right?
so detours shouldn’t be a problem 🙂 work towards the goal, you’ll get there eventually and we’ll all support each other through everything
Same here! Usually what helps me is I make sure to eat really light, healthy snacks (if I feel the urge for something sweet at night, I grab fruit). As for the beginner’s calendar, try not to let yourself skip more than a day and you’ll see your yourself get into the habit 🙂 lots of love, guys. We’ll achieve our goals. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. <3
I REALLY LOVE YOU CASSEY, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING ♥
I’ve been away for a while(over a month), but this morning I got to do just one video and I was so happy to see you! It was an old favorite, and I am so glad it was still there to greet me. Thank you for all of your hard work. I would be very sad to see you go, and it’s sad to see that people are picking on you. It’s also great to read so many of the supportive comments. Good call on calling out the negative ninnys. It’s amazing how everyone wants so much stuff for free. I bet many of then aren’t even doing the challenge anyway. Don’t worry about them. You will always have the support of your positive base.
Cassey…you rock!!! My husband & I have been following your workout calendars for almost a year now. Your workouts have transformed our lives! You have our support 200%!!!!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Oh and just as a side note Cassey I am studying to become a registered dietitian (1 1/2 years to go, YAY) and HUGE respect to you for using the most evidence based practitioners available while MANY other blogs, websites etc do not even use a nutritionist (3 year bachelor degree). This will enable people to become more educated about their food and diet and how important a healthy balanced lifestyle is, which in turn will help society in the long term. LOVE your work!
Hi Cassey! Be encouraged hun! From one fitness professional to another, I want to applaud your hard work! We know its not easy to put together workouts, videos and meal plans and you do it with such creativity and style! Not everyone is going to like you, but there are a whole load of us who do! Keep flying the flag! Love Vusi x
Hi Cassey!
I totally agree, the reason why I joined this community is because of your positive and fun vibe Cassey and I now believe that I can exercise and have fun at the same time. I love all the positive affirmations you bring to your life and this community and it has radiated into my life to continue having fun, staying positive and simply being happy which I hope I spread to others. Maybe it is because the community has grown or maybe society is becoming more negative I don’t know but keep going with what you are doing because I LOVE it and there are only those few who are ruining it for everyone. This blog, website, videos is not about comparing yourself people! It about setting goals for yourself, being strong and positive in your life! Cassey you are my inspiration and to so many others! Merry Christmas! xx
Add me to the growing list of people who appreciate your hard work and would never wNt to tear down what you have built
For those who are looking for a perfect body, they need to get their heads outta the clouds and start living in the REAL world!!! If theres anyone who has straight ruler legs, its only robots that i know of NOT humans!! Them trollers need some troller treats to keep them at bay cause people ain’t got time for this!! Cassey, you do your thing cause no one could do it better than you!:) Thank you for stepping up and being a REAL world role model, cause its the true how we are and i think people need to realize that. People should be grateful that we have your videos to watch! What more do they need? 🙂 Blessed be and take care!:) <3
You’re an inspiration. Remember all the positive things you’ve done for people like myself when negative people attempt to bring you down. Thank you.
For every hater, there are at least 10 people who love you <3 you are an amazing person who does so many good things for thousands as thousands of people. If they can't appreciate that and would rather go somewhere else, it's their loss. I want to thank you for all that you have done for me. You constantly encourage, inspire, and uplift me with your awesome sauce personality. You want me to make myself a healthier and stronger person. You're the best 🙂
i want you to know i value everything you do for usas a community. you’re so involved, positive, encouraging and caring its that second reason that keeps me dedicated to these workouts. i love the way you can relate to us all as a real person trying to accomplish our fitness goals. I’m truly sorry you’ve experienced any type of negativity about your image or all that you do for us. i’ glad you wrote
this post because we’re all adults and there shouldnt be any immature, demeaning, or rude comments. please know im truly thankful for all the videos, advice, and meal plans!
Hey, beautiful! <3
I'm not sure I can put this any more simply, other than by saying that you are AMAZING! You are the most humble, energetic, happy, woman I have ever seen. You make me want to look my best but you also remind me to appreciate where I am right now and also to appreciate what I have at this very moment. I know this is just a short little blurb, but if it helps you feel better in any way at all, I really do appreciate all you do with your videos, workout calender, recipes, literally EVERYTHING. You defy all odds of being human, because you simply do not stop working and continue to amaze! I'm proud of you and love you!! Thank you for all you do for all of us!
Wow Cassey, I’m so sorry you feel this way! I really do appreciate all the things you do for the blogilates community and it’s annoying that you have to defend yourself. I don’t understand why some people are being so insensitive and shallow. What you’re doing here is great and you really have a beautiful personality and body! Just know that there are a lot of us here who really appreciate what you do and I know I don’t say it enough, so THANK-YOU! <3
-All the best!
I think people are becoming spoiled. We don’t acknowledge that you are doing something that hasn’t been done. We are taking it for granted. Workouts and a meal plan are crazy expensive. You are giving the teenagers whose parents can’t afford to hire a personal trainer, or the college students who don’t have the money or time to eat healthy and workout, an opportunity.
You guys need to STFU and appreciate what she’s doing for us. She can easily coy us into paying for the app and workouts/ meals like the other personal trainers out there. We are being spoiled by daddy who is giving us a car and paying for our rent. Now we don’t want that to go away do we? Stop bitching and just be grateful.
I just wanted to thank you Cassey, you do an amazing job. Negativity will always be around, some people are just too selfish, maybe they should ask themselves how do they contribution to society before they judge others.
Keep up the good work. 🙂
That is so mean! I can’t believe anyone would say these things. Maybe you don’t feel upset about the body criticism (which is awesome, I wish I had that confidence!) but I do! No one should tell anyone else that their body is not good enough? Who are they to judge? They don’t know how hard you worked out. They don’t know what other people’s genetic combinations are! Some people just don’t have thigh gaps because of their bone structure. Honestly, some people just use the internet for bullying because they’re cowards and being behind a screen makes them feel “brave” enough to pick on people. That just makes me upset that someone would tell you that your body is not good enough. That is so not their call! Besides, picking on people’s bodies can really hurt their confidence. I would know. I’m skinny-skinny but I was picked on a lot for my body in elementary/middle school and I’m in college now- it’s still hard to look in the mirror and like what I see. Does it help a girls life if you tell her her thighs are too muscly? no. Does it help her health? No way! Does it make her happier? Nada. Would she be a better person with skinnier, stick-like thighs or vice versa, would she be a better person with a “few extra pounds”. Nope. And there’s a pretty good chance she can’t do a thing about it anyway. So, moral of the story. Haters, you aint the body police! So pipe down! Do some squats, or something.
I agree with you Cassey. One of the reasons I joined this site and am following you regularly is not only for the workouts that challenge me but also the intense and natural positivity that you radiate through your blog, your videos, and through your other endeavors. Growing up a more negative society, it’s so inspiring to see someone encouraging people and I really treasure that both in your blogs, and in the Blogilates community.
Don’t let anyone EVER make you feel like you are not loved Cassey. We love you and appreciate you and all the work that you dedicate to this community. Those are only a few voices among the many, always keep your head up and focus on the good and positive. You’ve done so much for us, and I know I speak for many when I say you and the community you’ve started have changed my life. Physically, mentally and emotionally, I know I view my everyday walk in life differently because you started me out on a positive mentality. So thank you Cassey and keep loving yourself…cause we all do 🙂
Please dont let the negativity stop you from doing the awesome things you do. There are hundreds and thousands of others who really appreciate your workouts and the time you put in. If people want to complain and threaten to leave, let them. They will be back when they realize that they’ll have to spend money for workouts with other trainers.
Oh Cassey I feel so bad for you. I greatly appreciate all you do for others and myself! I have been thrilled to do your workouts and the fact that they are free has helped my family greatly as we can’t afford any extras. Thank you for putting so much of your time, energy, and heart into all you do. You have blessed me in trying to recover from having babies. My husband thanks you! 😉 All the products you design are truly gorgeous and I love wearing my “Cassey gear” so I can tell others about you! 🙂 Keep your head up girl! We sure love you!
Cassey, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I appreciate the work that you do. I have spent 24 years of my life struggling with body image issues. It wasn’t until I started doing your workouts that I began to find something to be proud of: my strength. The first time I completed 100 burpees with you, instead of taking massive breaks, I felt so accomplished! The fact that you do all of this for free blows my mind. All you ask of us in return is to click a button and follow you. It takes 2 seconds, you don’t bombard us with messages, and really, if I don’t feel like looking at all your tweets or emails, I just keep scrolling. It’s not like it is such a burden on my life to give back.
Even if you were a size 20, I would follow you. Your videos are great, you have a great community, and you inspire me to keep going. Thanks to all my fellow POPsters who keep it positive and support each other. To the negative people out there: if Cassey isn’t for you, take it somewhere else. It’s easy enough to do. Don’t drag down everyone else just because you’ve got a bee up your butt!
I really appreciate everything on Blogilates. It’s obvious you put your heart and soul into everything you share with us. The massive amount of free content you share is *amazing*. I incorporate your workouts into my routine regularly, and I love your recipes. And I love and admire your energy! Blogilates helps me start my workouts and keep pushing on those days when I don’t even want to start, let alone finish. Thank you for everything!
Cassey I think you are amazing, I think all of us here who’s part of the Blogilates community think so too. Don’t listen to those people – their words don’t mean anything! Keep on doing what you do because as far as I know it only does good. <3
There are people who exercise for the sake of vanity. And then there’s me. My true reason for exercising is really because I tend to scare myself a lot. No I’m not talking about being fat whatsoever, but I regularly imagine myself out there getting chased by a monster (too much fiction, perhaps?) and so if I don’t become strong and I don’t improve my physique I will die.
That being said, (please don’t label me as weird ahaha), time and time again, through procrastination, I learnt so much about the essential reasons of keeping your body in good shape. Be confident, live strong, and die (everybody dies oh come on) with no regrets because damn woman, you did the best you could!
I don’t mean to write my life story, but basically, I was really active as a young teenage, something happened (I don’t even know what and the doctors can’t tell me exactly what happened), and I started getting really bad lower back pains at the age of 18. I couldn’t do any sports (or even yoga…), I started gaining weight and hated it. It made me so sad because I felt my confidence going away, I felt my body getting weaker and weaker, and I hated where it was going.
I looked up “how to lose armpit fat” on youtube (such an awkward search), and came across you. Something about your beautiful personality made me want to look through more and more videos until I figured out what Blogilates was, and I learned about the calendar, and POPsters, and the whole thing.
I decided to do the beginners calendar and I mean NO exaggeration when I say that *YOU CHANGED MY LIFE*. It made no sense in my head that someone as qualified as yourself would have a free community. The only reasoning is that you’re just a genuinely kind person.
I love everything about you. And even though I’ve never met you in person, you’ve become such an important and special part of my life.
I guess when you’re exposed to social media, you’ve got to expect the haters. They’re inevitable. They’re unbelievable retarded, but unfortunately it happens when you put yourself out there as you have, for us. You’re such a beautiful person inside and out, and though you don’t deserve any of that hate, I hope that it will be a means to make you even stronger than you already are!
I really appreciate you, and there are SOO many others out there who appreciate you. I wish I could take away any hurt that you’ve received. You do so much for us without expecting anything at all in return.
You’ve taught me so much. Keep being you.
Dear Cassey,
We love you with all our heart!!You are awesome and an inspiration!!You predicate fitness not vanity!!I appreciate your hardwork and its heartwarming to see the things you do for Free,I mean who does that!!You should totally get a nobel prize!!i mean it!!You should!!love you <3
Hi Cassey!
I don’t usually comment on your lovely videos or blogspost, and I don’t even know why!? I need to start doing that more 🙂 But now I needed! Because i got a little bit angry about the way some people are towards you. You are so generous for giving us all the free stuff, putting up amazing workout videos and being such a lovely person everywhere. I would definetly love to meet you someday, because you are so inspiring! I live in Finland, so it’s not the easiest thing to do, but someday I will 🙂
So yeah, I’m 16 years old girl fom Finland called Pinja and I dance ballet, but in Janury I’m going to take pole dance lessons and start playing tennis. Because I’ve realised that now when I have the body and age to try new things I will.
And I am thankful for your FREE workout videos and calendar, the meal plan and now the giveaways! And I bet and knowthere are many many people who are as well! Because of your videos I’m stonger all over and have almost the abs that are shown (It’s not the only reason I do blogilates) and I’m going buy myself a some kind of bar that I can start working on pull ups 🙂
I haven’t started the meal plans, even though I was planning to. I just need to encourage myself a little bit more and go to the grocery store 🙂 Abs are made in the gym, but shown in the kitchen. 😉 Does anyone have tips on how can I REALLY stay focused and keep up with the new body makeover?
I think this was quite a long comment, and you probably wouldn’t wanted to hear all this, but because I haven’t send you any letter yet, I thought I would tell you something here
Thank you again Cassey, you’re amazing and beautiful and what not, hope someday we’ll meet, but until then I will be doing your workouts here at home (yours are the best)
ps. At the moment I have Super sore butt because yesterday I did your new sexy legs for coctail dress workout (that rimes :D) and I love this feeling
Love you, Pinja
Cassey, thank you so much for all you do for the community. It’s easy to take for granted the things you work so hard at doing for all of us, so I’m glad you’re not only able to be positive and uplifting but also firm and territorial. You know the vision and goal you have for this community and it’s comforting to see that you are willing to fight to keep it going. Again, thank you so much for what you do.
P.S. Special thanks to you from all the guys that are a part of this community but are too embarrassed sometimes to voice their opinion. 😉 (ME. haha)
As a very new member of the community I can’t see how anyone could fault you… You are so happy and motivating! Thank you for everything!
First of all, you did a good job with this blogpost Cassey! Sometimes you have to be firm, and when you become as famous as you are people start to see you as their possession instead of a real person. Don’t ever be afraid to stand up for yourself when ‘the community’ starts to be too hard on you, you must always remember who you are and what you stand for. Stay the person you were before you became this famous. And I’m not saying that becouse you would have changed, but because people could make you so stressful that you forget who you are.
Second. When I read the blogpost I also wanted to read the responds to it to see if anyone had written a rude respond, and luckily all the responds I’ve read are very nice and encouraging. But, most of them do disspoint me. People responding how beautiful Cassey’s legs or your body are mean well; but guys, in my opinion, you don’t understand the essence of this blogpost. Thighgaps (I think this whole trend is nonsense) or flat bellies or tight legs, they may be super important to you, but that is not what all of this is about. It’s not about the people telling Cassey that her ‘thighgap’ isn’t good enough because I think that she is smart and confident enough to ignore these comments. It’s about the people telling her that what she does isn’t good enough. That she doesn’t sacrifice enough for us. Those comments are really rude, and you should encourage her by saying how good she is in what she does and how nice she is to do all of these things (for free).
Btw: I do not want to offend anyone and I understand that with your comment about how amazing her body is (because IT IS) you’re just being really nice! And saying that IS nice, but I think that what she wants is a little understanding and recognition.
I am also sorry if not everything in this post isn’t written in perfect nglish because English isn’t my mother tongue. Thank you for reading this if you have and Cassey: you are amazing!
I am sorry to hear such complaints in this kind of community. It leaves me to say one thing only (since I agree with most commenters): Nothing in this world is perfect and nothing ever comes to your preference (time, place etc). Live with it. I haven’t got my journal but I’m not complaining. Always think positive guys. And everyone change. For the good. If you choose to remain the same as you are, well.. it’s your life.
Everytime I watch one of your videos Cassey, I think of how beatiful you look! That just makes me happy. And I am so happy that there is a good, beatiful fitness instructor who actually tells girls to love their body the way it is. You are always so positive and so effervescent (is that actually a word? anyway..)! I am far from my “goal wieght” and I don’t have a thigh gap (which is only enervating because your jeans wears out too quickly when your thighs thouches – and I hate shopping for jeans, they cost too much and you never find a pair that you like:) – talk about small problem….) BUT I seriously love my body when I see it in the mirror in the morning, and I just love working out without all the pressure. Thanks Cassey!
You are amazing, I love your workouts and appreciate all the hardwork you put in, so much so that my kids join in my morning session now and we have an amazing time! You have increased my self confidence no end, thanks so much! I genuinely feel sorry for people who are worried about their gaps… There is so much more to life and our amazing bodies! Keep up the good work Cassie 🙂
I enjoy following you because you inspire me to have a positive mindset, not just with fitness but also with attitude in life. People need to understand and be more grateful with the time and effort you put in with everything. Keep on doing what you do, inspiring people to do better in whatever in life. Thanks for everything Cassey!
Guess what? I’m quite slim for my age. My friend weighs quite a bit more than me. She has a thigh gap. I don’t. So what? 🙂
This may be obvious to you, but your thigh gap is curvy because your leg muscles are well developed, in addition to your genetics. That’s a good thing, of course! I don’t know why that wasn’t obvious to those people… but that’s okay. Vanity and preconceived ideals can fog the mind. That seems to be the case with those people. The only thing wrong with that is it takes away from their quality of life. People like that should open their mind and understand that fit and healthy bodies come in different shapes. Each person will have a unique look when they are at their healthiest, and that is a wonderful thing in my opinion. That’s the magic of genetics and human variation!
I’m sorry you’ve been seeing more negativity recently. I discovered you fairly recently, but I want you to know I’m not going anywhere! You’re always going to be one of my favorite fitness instructors. I started doing pilates because of you. I’m more fit and happy with my body than I used to be because of your videos. I’m stronger, toned and I have more stamina now. So, I am very thankful I can access your workouts for free. I appreciate your kindness and enthusiasm more than I can say. I hope the minority of negativity doesn’t get you down too much. Maybe it’s just a phase with those people.
Thank you again for your hard work and dedication. I appreciate it tons. 🙂 Best wishes and I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Amen, sista! Thanks for your positivity and willingness to share your knowledge about fitness and nutrition so freely. I get such a confidence boost when I do one of your workouts. It means a lot. You rock!
i agree thanks cassey your hard work is much apprieciated 🙂
Hola
I am not a regular on these workout but for time to time, I like to try it out (mostly because I am doing lots of other sports)
I like the way you are well in form, pretty and all without looking skinny. Your physical appearance is the best, saying that there exist some form of beautiful that we can appreciate, that is not just bones.
I am very muscular. you see your legs? Take them, apply a zoom x2 and you see mine. The fact that I can see the curves of your muscles in your legs is somehow reassuring.
I love your work and your energy. Please keep up with this as it brighten my workout to see that you are doing all these crazy stuff SMILING! OMG, you are fantastic.
Even my friend who does not understand that much of english likes your workout as your stamina transcends the words 🙂
Cheers
I never got the ‘thigh gap’ thing, WTF. Is it the ideal image to have I thigh gap? It all started somewhere on the internet, on sites where anorexic girls are motivating each other to lose more weight. Think about girls, we woman aren’t supposed to have ultra flat belly and tight gap like you see in the magazines and catwalk. Our bodies are designed to give birth to a child, there’s a reason why we hold fat that good on the belly and upper legs. Guess what, it means you’re healthy. Just make sure you eat well (and enough!) and work out regularly, I notice when I’m taking good care of my body I feel better.
Cassey, I used to watch your videos all the time like every day to train my abs and legs. I just stopped cuz I had a more busy schedule and almost always tired to do exercise. However your workouts are great, I wouldn’t hesitate to do them when I want to exercise. I have a flat abs and HUGE thigh gap cuz I’m just skinny genetically, but I definitely cannot endure the whole abs workout (like abs on fire) like you, I’d be sweating and needing a break especially I’m rusty now, but you do it without even looking tired at all, of course, because you’re a professional. I can’t believe people don’t even have the common sense that thigh gap and flat abs doesn’t determine your fitness or anything; an anorexic and unhealthy person can have HUGE thigh gap and the flattest bony abs you can find and that definitely doesn’t mean they’re fit and healthy. You show us what’s healthy and fit. Some peoples point of views are just distorted that skinny like showing bones = fit. If you were bony skinny with enormous thigh gap, I would actually look into another fitness instructor, because eating healthy and exercising =/= super skinny.
And a lot of people on the internet are just straight up ungrateful idiots, all they do is complain instead of appreciating what they get (FOR FREE TOO). It is the internet after all… A lot of people feel okay to say hurtful things to others just cuz they’re behind a computer screen. There will always be those ungrateful idiots, don’t take them too personal :). Just block them if you can lol.
Don’t be discouraged at all Cassey! Whenever there is a large community, it is inevitable to pool in negative people, it’s the law of the universe (okay I made that part up). But it’s true. Your community has sky rocketed which also means disrespectful people with negative vibe and negative attitude come along. You can’t help it. These people take what you do for-granted and suddenly expect to be fed with golden spoons. You are human and they don’t see that because you’re spoiling us (thank you!) and they’ve become so ungrateful for it that they start to see you as a machine and blame you for the little times you’re late. You’re a beautiful human and please ignore all the negativity. I don’t know what happened to the tone of the community, but I really hope it changes.
You have touched so many lives, and helped so many people. I stumbled upon your website while trying to find a food/exercise journal, and was elated! I love the journal I bought, and couldn’t believe all the things you do for everyone……and for free! So Thank You!! You are an inspiration! I love the diet/recipes/tips,,,,I feel so much better, the weight is coming off slow, but hey I’m 50 and the metabolism isn’t what it used to be…. Have a Merry Christmas,,,and take some time off to relax, you totally deserve it 🙂
Hi Cassey!
First of all, sorry for my English. I’m still learning.
Some months ago I had a big problem with my thighs. Honestly. My thighs were soo big, when my stomach was quite flat. Then, I made a decision to start working out with your videos. And It was the best decision I could ever make! I’m not looking for spectacular effects because I know I’m just not able to have such a thigh gap as yours or any skinny, fit girl’s. But I’m trying. And now it’s a fourth month of working, not only on my thighs, but just on myself – as a person. I strive to better Caroline – fit, happy and more beautiful than ever.
And results? At the beginning of December I could not belive that my thighs are 5 cm smaller than before ( or even more than 5 ). On September they were about 60-62cm, now It’s 55cm and that’s not my last word.
Since end of November I’ve been also working out on a stationary bike. And it’s just getting better and better. What’s more I’ve made it without any diet! I was just eating as a normal person, not eating too much – just normal meals. I love eating and I just can’t live without my fav foods. . 🙂
Anyway, thank you so much Cassey. Without you it would never happen. 🙂
Everyone has to go on their own personal journey in discovering their own beauty. It’s hard, because we can see others so well, in so many different lights and perspectives. We see ourselves in a dressing room mirror, a warped reflection on our way to work/school, through a posed selfie, etc. We don’t often have the chance to view ourselves in natural light and energy, and that can often wound us the most. Beauty is a perception. I believe we have to train our minds to find beauty in ourselves. To feel that we are also beautiful.
Casey, I appreciate you so much as a person and as a trainer. You motivate me through your videos, blogs, posts and recipes. Instead of feeling guilty when I haven’t worked out in a few days, I have your constant support, and it self motivates so that I know I. Can. Do. It. Even on the days when i’m too exhausted, I still have that motivation to continue being positive, to be healthy, and to feed myself better energy. In your workout videos, I used to feel so terrible about myself if I couldn’t do every move perfectly, and exactly on time. You encourage us to move at our own pace, and that really is the healthiest pace their is. Thank you for not only teaching me about nutrition and fitness, but also how to live my life, like you said, more peacefully with myself and others around me.
I love you lots! Thank you for all the work you put into us!
I’m honestly kind of disappointed. We should all be encouraging and supportive to everyone, no matter how they look. Seeing those ridiculous comments talking about other girls bodies and their features is exactly the opposite of what I would have expected to see in such a positive, fun community.
Thanks so much for addressing this, Cassey, because it really was an issue that needed to be called attention to. 🙂
Cassey, your thigh gap is WAY bigger than mine. Your abs are flatter than mine. Your body is stronger than mine. In fitness you are my better, for sure! I know I haven’t done one of your workouts in FOREVER, but when I saw news of such a hateful thing in my inbox, I could not help but come over here.
It IS so sad that young girls these days are basing their worth off of something so fleeting and pointless as a gap between their thighs! That they cannot just love their legs!
I was born with crazy long legs, and that proportion stayed. They have always stayed thin and nice. I wear high waisted shorts and VA-VA-VOOM I am turning heads! My legs are BEAUTIFUL!!! And guess what, you thigh gap worshippers? My THIGHS….THEY TOUCH EACH OTHER. They are in love. They might get married and stay together forever. Thigh gap? Who cares.
I am curvy, swervy, bodacious, and BEAUTIFUL. 28″ is the size of my waist and it is PERFECT because it is MINE!
I got more news for these girls who would do anything for a thigh gap. You wanna know what that boy who likes you finds pretty about you? Your eyes, your smile, your freckles, your hair… Bet he has never even NOTICED that you have a gap between your thighs. The fact that you judge everyone else in such a negative way does NOT attract the right kind of men to you, because it shows you LACK confidence, you DON’T accept yourself and you are NOT comfortable in your own skin. This kind of skewed view of self attracts the wrong boys: the ones who will take advantage of you, whether it be money or otherwise.
LOVE YOURSELF. The best way to help that along is to love others and say kind things to them, because inside it makes you feel, and believe you are a nice person. It will take time and practice. The longer you do it, the more truly nice you become.
yaaaa for self love!!! I’ve been feeling down on the self confidence lately, but your comment made me smile and feel fuzzy and Christmas-y just reading it. thank-you <3
on the topic of self-love I'm going to fight off my personal negativity with some loving for me!!
i love the shape my body makes! I love my bubble butt! I love my mermaid, touching legs! I love my cuddly tummy with shy abs! I love my little boobs! I love my skin!
but even more I love how much I love myself and others! I love that I can be positive and make it contagious! I love that I'm smart but can goof off with my friends! I love my family who is supportive and stays close <3
I love you, Kasey, because you posted such a great, positive comment!! <3
I love the whole blogilates crew because they all want to be happy and healthy!
<3 <3 <3
Merry Christmas, spread the love, make it contagious.
Amen! Couldn’t have said it better!
Cassie I know your not fazed by any of this thigh gap obsession, but I still just want to say you are truly beautiful and inspiring. I feel like not only what you do makes you feel happy and look happy on the outside, but on the inside too. When you put out a new challenge or information I make sure to do it or at least attempt it because I know it’ll make me feel good or strive for the better. That’s the kind of person I love to see and just like everyone you have flaws, but that’s what makes us human and makes our goals realistic and what makes you and I ‘imperfectly perfect.’
Truly thank you for EVERYTHING you do. Nothing goes without being appreciated.
From your little fan.
I’m sorry you have to go through this, since I completely understand the feeling. What you are doing is amazing! You are completely beautiful not from just your amazingly FIT and HEALTHY body, but from your kindness and passion. When I’m doing your workouts and I feel like giving up and I listen to you motivating us and speaking to us like a close friend I don’t feel like giving up and letting you down. Instead, I get reenergized and want to try even harder! People who don’t see all of the hard work and effort that goes into what you are doing for FREE are truly unappreciative and spoiled. Stay amazing and inspire more people to love themselves in a healthy way and not in through vanity. I love you! <3
Cassey, you are AMAZING! I always knew that physically you were a crazy strong woman, but your response to this just goes to show your absolutely incredible inner strength as well. You are such an amazing inspiration and I couldn’t agree more with your words. To start off with, I was doing your workouts for all the typical reasons like losing weight, looking better, etc., but now I find myself doing them because I feel so much happier for having done them – your tank “Happy, Healthy and Strong” really captures how I feel after exercising with you now! I have now gotten my entire family into your workouts and we’re all feeling the benefits. And I have YOU to thank for how much fitter and happier I have been. Seriously, your energy, encouragement and positiveness has really shaped my life since I first discovered Blogilates early this year. I am so, so grateful for the amazing community you have created and the fact you are dedicated to helping all of us POPsters around the world lead more positive, healthier lives…. all for FREE!
Really sad to hear how ungrateful people have been despite your very hard work and incredible generosity, but I am so glad you’ve stood up for yourself and for this community. We all adore you so much! Lots of love from my family and I in Australia xoxo
I think you are wonderful- and I love Blogilates! Thank you so much for all that you do! It seriously has changed my life- I love doing your workouts, and extremely appreciate that they are free! You are so generous! Thanks! happy Holidays!
It’s really a shame, when people get good things for free, suddenly they feel entitled and become demanding. I’ve seen it happen everywhere. I used to teach in an urban area, and while many were appreciative, many others would make comments like, “you made cookies and didn’t bring any milk?” or steal my candy after I’d already given them some. It’s sad. People need to learn a lesson in appreciation. I appreciate your smiling face, energy, and motivational words. And of course, your hard work!! I’m sure the people complaining don’t understand the work you put into everything you do.
Anything that starts with “no offense” is automatically offensive…
And as for the obsession with the “thigh gap”, does anyone realize that your thighs often touch because of MUSCLE?! So you basically need to starve to achieve this gap. And who is happy if you starve? A bunch of douchebags who are so shallow that they look at THAT much detail? People who certainly aren’t sculpted Greek Gods and Goddesses themselves? Don’t apologize for scolding them, they need to be put in time out. You can have an amazing body and still eat more than rabbit food. Even models are airbrushed. At least Cassey keeps it real.
And hey! Sculpted Greek goddesses were very curvy and definitely had some very rounded hips… It was attractive! Who is to say a little chub is bad? Who says only stick thin is beautiful? Who are these shallow girls (they have not earned the title of “women”) to say that women of this physique are not beautiful because of one trivial detail? Baloney!
Cassey,
YOU ARE MY MOST FASCINATING PERSON OF 2013. YOU ARE GREAT AND WONDERFUL, FULL OF LOVE AND POSITIVENESS. GENEROSITY BEYOND THE MASSES. YOU ARE AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL.
WAY TO TURN THE OTHER CHEEK, MANY RESPECTS FOR YOU.
xo
When I first found your website, I was SO surprised that everything was free. I’ve looked for so many places for someone to follow who gives great advice and workouts and it has always been SO expensive. So for you to not only do these things for “less than the others” but for free is amazing. AND I am so grateful that you always remember your vegan followers 😀 Trying to find a meal plan for vegans is hard enough but you’ve given me one for FREE! Also, your app is free, and having to pay a dollar a month for the calendar is not even enough! The app is free, paying 99 cents a month for an extra feature is not a big deal at all! Ugh it is making me upset that people complain about this.
PLUS your body is amazing! Who cares about a thigh gap and how can people be so rude and judge another person’s shape?!
Whoooo Ok, you are amazing, I love your videos and all that you do for all of us. I can tell that you really truly care, I appreciate everything you do!
Also, take a break sometimes, it seems like you work your ass off!
Love you heaps Cassey <3
Cassey,
I just wanted to say that you gave me the confidence to step back into the swing dance community when someone told me I was a bad dancer. Quite depressed and feeling worthless, your blogilates videos, upbeat attitude and constant smile really boosted my own confidence.
Now, I’m back in the swing of things. 🙂
I’m sorry for the haters, but they’re just angry because you are doing something you love with amazing amount of passion.
Thank you for being an inspiration!
~S.
Just a little FYI for the thigh-gap Nazis.
Most men boast about the thigh gap because of the ongoing joke that a wide gap is an indication that a woman has copped a lot of “interest” in that area (which obviously isn’t true).
Is that really the type of image that you want to work for?
Thanks so much for being a positive person. It’s sad really, to think people have the time to tear one others down. Youre truly inspiring and radiate good energy! Even if there is haters among us, there are way more lovers! I respect that you haven’t kept this issue under wraps, because this world is constantly telling us who we should look like or what we should strive to be… But it’s so much better to just be the best you possible! Thanks for your support and keep on:)
What jags. Casey, if you end up reading this, just know that I personally am very inspired by your ability to keep going, in working out and in servicing the community! AND I personally envy your legs the most out of everything there is to admire about you! And you’re so right about happiness, because honestly what makes you a great fitness instructor is not your body, ITS YOUR UNDENIABLE CHARACTER. Haters gunna hate.
Seriously I hope the majority of POPsters don’t inbibe this negative attitude, or that Cassey isn’t dragged down by the negativity. Her vibrant energetic attitude is what makes workout fun and keeps us going! Seems to me that people are jealous of Cassey and they pick on the shape of her body and the fact she charged a bit of money for a few videos. It’s just jealously Cassey, we love you, don’t worry, keep going!:D xxxxxoooooxxxxx
Hey.
Cassey you work amazingly hard for us. You are my role model. When you die I’m going to write an amazing biography about you 🙂 or maybe an autobiography… But seriously like, Thank you. I hope you get what you deserve in life, which is the best, most comfiest bed ever, and never- dying amazing taste buds and vanilla-scented sweat. This is because of your dedication, hard work, selflessnes and more. I love you so much it’s not funny. I don’t even know how many lives you’ve probably saved with your perfectness and ur attitude. I wish i was your best friend, zapping all of the idiot haters with sticky okra parts.
I love your website, as do all of my friends. We love doing your workout videos because you are SO encouraging and you make it so fun! It makes me sad to see people comment negatively on the work that you do because you are doing all of us a tremendous service. For the few that try to bring you down, remember that there are way more supporters of you 🙂 I think you are fantastic! I want to become a personal trainer after I graduate and be as cheerful as you! Go bears.
Cassey, I just want to let you know, I love you! I appreciate you! Your videos inspire me! I’ve actually been going well for probably the first time ever with diet and exercise (something must of clicked!) and you’ve definitely contributed to that. I’m not great with meal plans and since I’ve been going well with my own thing, I decided not to follow yours to the tee but purchased the journal because its so convenient and encourages me to write down everything I eat (which i also failed in the past) Since I live in Australia, the currency conversion and shipping made it quite expensive, but honestly it is totally worth it to support you. You are so generous, thank you!
Cassey,
I’m a silent POPster most of the time, just loving your videos, training, and strong work ethic. I buy things every now and then and promote you to ALL my girlfriends. There are so many times where you kept me motivated and got me through a tough work week- laughing through trying to learn the dances or routines. It amazes me how far you’ve come. How far I’ve come too.. You’re an inspiration. There are no words for thanks in that. After finding you and listening to the strength in your soul and heart, you brought life back into working out and as well as back into the way I breathe, look, feel, and live. That’s what some negative people need to figure out. They will get it one day I hope, and one day I will have the muscle in your thighs too! Don’t let anyone on the Internet get you down. It’s given strength to some kind of evil cyber bullying- even if it doesn’t make any sense. We all know how strong and beautiful you are. They must be some kind of crazy/jealous/blind to even type it. I’m sorry for them and for being silent so much. Know you’re loved!!
Wow, Cassey I haven’t been on your site (I know! I know!) for a while but to hear this saddens me. Why we have to spread negativity, I will never know. But please, keep doing what you do and please stay happy. I’m really sorry you had to see your community change like that, but hopefully this is the wakeup call to change back
Cassey,
I’m soon-to-be 44 years old. I’ve been exercising for the greater part of 25 years. Have always been athletic. Was a certified personal fitness trainer at one point. Have two beautiful girls. Am married. Have a college degree in PR/Communications, thousands of accomplishments in my lifetime….And the one most recent aspects of my ‘life’ that I am proud of, is sticking with your workouts and encouraging all of my hot mama friends and family, to give your training video’s a serious try. You are more motivational than any other fitness instructor I have had at the gym, you are encouraging, knowledgable, and a very beautiful, confident, young woman. Please, discount all of the negative comments that are being made. These selfish individuals are never happy in life. They need to have instant gratification, need to be spoon fed, and need to feel that they are always number one in life and no one else matters but their self serving needs. They are better off seeking out instruction elsewhere! Let them! You don’t need that gloomy attitude present on your blog! Stay positive girlie, as you always are! Keep smiling that beautiful smile and know that every day in some way, YOU are changing people’s lives. THAT is living a life full of passion and purpose and that is being happy! It shows…….;-)
You said it better than me! What she said Cassey!!!
I love you Cassey!! Don’t ever feel unappreciated– I know from experience that the negative comments stick out more than the positive, so don’t get too down on yourself… it is saintly of you to give us so many free things- meal plans, workout vids, etc. Its not something most trainers do, and I greatly appreciate and treasure that! You are the best<3 hang in there!
Your thigh gap is probably “curvy” because it’s muscle. I run collegiate track and my thighs look the same. Sometimes they actually touch but I’m in no way overweight. It’s a matter of body fat percentage. Right now I’m 19% and when I’m in season, it gets even lower but my thighs will actually slightly touch. Muscle, people.
Cassey I hope you know you have the support and positivity from many more people than those who are negative and do not appreciate. I love that you support the gratitude attitude and self respect rather than the number on the scale. Thank you a million times over for providing the space and support to thousands of people, including myself, to become healthy! Not skinny, not gappy, not a size. But healthy! Thank you!
I’ve been watching your YouTube videos for about 2 years and I LOVE IT!!! You have not changed in your attitude and you’ve made changes for the community and it’s great!
Thank you for being you Cassey, and INDEED it is AMAZING that you are doing this for free and you care about people a ton.
You are a very special person,
God bless you Cassey,
I wish a Merry Christmas season!
You are F*cking amazing!!! Keep up what youve been doing, cause you are the only person who can make a broke girl like me workout! Before I discovered blogilates I was the most anti-exercise person and now I feel disappointed if I dont workout. This is not because Im obssesed about the way I look (wich i really am) its because I feel the lack of extra energy that training gives me. All thanks to you! Without your work I would never be who I aim to be. xx you deserve the moon
I couldn’t agree more with this Cassey! I seriously dont think you get enough recognition for this! So as a POPster i wanna say thank you! Not only for the videos but for teaching me what true happiness is about. admittedly I always thought that once im a healthy weight i’d be happy and everything would be perfect and blah blah blah, but YOU made me realize to be happy now and to actually love my body the way it is. And to that I say thank you for everything c:
love you xoxo
The internet really has made it so easy to rip other people apart. We all have so many opinions, and most of them aren’t good ones. I think we all seek a perfection that just isn’t attainable. If our happiness is resting in our body size and weight, we will never be truly happy. Sure, it can add to our happiness [that we already have inside] to be our goal weight, but it will never make us happy, just like you said. This was really well-stated. I have nothing but respect for how hard you work, having done just half of the work you have as a trainer myself, it’s so easy for people to put you at a certain expectation level and if you don’t meet it, to write you off. It’s almost as if you aren’t human anymore with a personal life where things can sometimes get in the way or not go as planned. Don’t listen to anyone who gives you anything negative; they’re just unhappy with themselves & either don’t know it or don’t know how to deal with it. You put so much of yourself into making others’ lives better, and that’s wonderful all in itself. Love your spirit and appreciate all the work you do, girl!!
Hi Cassey
I have never even noticed your thigh gap – whenever I watch your videos all I see is a really positive beautiful woman. My daughter and I often comment on how you manage to smile even whilst doing some of the most energetic and difficult exercises.
We watched many and varied exercise ‘gurus’ before deciding to become a part of Blogilates – the main reason we chose you was your beautiful smile and the very positive attitude you took to exercise – and that gorgeous voice of yours.
Anyway, keep it up – Gen and I love working out together and I never miss a chance to tell all my work colleagues about Blogilates and Cassey Ho.
Liz
I completely agree with you Cassey. I think people get a little carried away with the vanity aspect of health and fitness. It’s great to feel good about yourself and confident and all- but just because someone doesn’t have an inner thigh gap and you do does not make you a more “fit” or “healthy” person. Everyone is on their own health and fitness journey and deserves support and positivity- not negativity and body bashing.
That was awesome Cassey, well said. I think we all need a reminder once in awhile about the beauty thing. I think it’s the comparison game that traps us into feeling so inferior and usually when someone feels that way they will criticize someone else so as to bring themselves up. Bring them down so they can feel better about themselves. I know we have all done it from time to time. Thanks for all you do here and I want to say I love your workouts and appreciate all the time and work that you put out. IN closing, PEOPLE, YOUR THIGH GAP IS DETERMINED PRIMARILY ON HOW FAR APART YOUR HIPS ARE, IF U HAVE CLOSE HIPS THEN NO THIGH GAP, IF FAR APART THEN THIGH GAP. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER FADE THING THAT HAS COME ALONG. LET IT GO…….IT’S ALL GENETICS AT THE END OF THE DAY! Much love Cassey, Maria
Hey Cassie,
I love Blogilates. I can’t believe people are so rude, thoughtless, impatient, and heartless. I’m looking at your picture and I don’t see anything wrong with your thighs. Beauty will eventually fade with everyone. People need to wake up and stop thinking of so many superficial things. Why do I exercise? Because it’s fun!!! I love the way I feel afterwards. I don’t care whether I lose weight or if I get flat abs. I want to live a healthy lifestyle. People seem to have the wrong idea of what exercise is. I’m sorry you had to read these comments.
You’re beautiful Cassey!
Don’t listen to anyone who tells you different. 🙂
Cassey you are a wonderful human being for being able to inspire so many people and work so hard just to make us happy and bring us all together as a community. I love you for your videos and plans but mostly for your energy that gives me hope that tomorrow will be a better day. I have been going through a breaking point in my life which has lead me into a deep depression but doing your workouts every day always brightens up the mood. Please continue making videos and inspiring more people. I love you so much <3
Cassey, what should be obvious to anyone is that if someone is saying critical things about a part of your body it is because they are JEALOUS of you because of your positivity and strength and generosity to us popsters and because actually, you look amazing. You seem to have a good understanding of that
Where this could become a problem is when it happens within the community. Every person on this blog is on their own fitness journey. For many of us that means not liking our bodies or being ashamed of them. I have read so many posts where popsters talk about hating themselves, being disgusted by their own body, and I am so happy that if someone is feeling that way, they have a positive place to let it out. There are also popsters who are just getting started and are looking for encouragement
My point is that for a big part of this community comments like “your thighs look weird” could be an instant reason for someone to leave. As little the value as those comments have, they could be really hurtful to someone who does not yet realize how truly beautiful she is.
Have you ever thought about asking some of us to moderate the forum as users? A lot of online forums operate this way to keep ground rules followed and to keep a zero tolerance of hateful and misogynist comments like the ones you received. You could contact me any time this blog means a lot to me and I would definitely get involved!
Thanks for being honest Cassey! And I was just talking about the thigh gap with my pilates instructor this morning – ITS GENETICS LADIES – some people just can’t get rid of that little bit of flab at the top of the inner thighs (i.e. me). I’m working on making sure my body is evened out with its flexibility and strength and that I am healthy so that I don’t cause injury to myself and feel good.
I believe the community probably has gotten so big and there will always be faceless, nameless trolls – as long as we all collectively work to be positive and praise you for all your hard work (which is totally amazing!) then I think we can out-positive the negatives!
Strength and positivity to all!
That’s what most of society is today..anonymous internet voices, voicing their stupid opinions. A society that thinks they are entitled to everything straight away with no hard work or work at all to get what they want. I appreciate everything that you do Cassey, and it is society that unfortunately is not being brought up like it used to be..by showing people respect, gratitude and appreciation. Feels like it will cease to exist at all soon.
Dear Cassie,
I’m new here. I don’t know anything about where this crap was posted or why people are acting that way but seriously if people are telling you that they’re going to “leave” because something wasn’t done on time you can’t stress about that. You do so much for us, and I’m sure you have a life outside of that to take care of too. Plus, it really is FREE so let’s not go out of our way to try to keep those people – they should just leave if they’re not happy because the rest of us (at least me) are genuinely happy to have finally found something that is WORKING and that is DOABLE. Please don’t be offended by those folks, and please don’t change what you’re doing. I don’t care if things are late especially when its hardly late anyway or if your thigh gap is ‘normal’ or shaped like a Christmas tree for the holidays and changing shapes monthly whatever and neither should the rest of the POPsters because it’s none of our business. I don’t even HAVE a thigh gap yet, nor have I EVER IN MY LIFE had one. But I will someday, thanks to you, and I’m not going to measure it or be choosy about its shape that’s for sure.
You are such a strong and inspiring woman. We couldn’t thank you enough for the inmense number of things you do for us, always with a smile, for nothing in return. Thank you for staying here and being amazing Cassey, never let idiots ruin your day!
Big love from Spain xxxx
Thank you for all the hard work you do to give your Blogilates community free meal plans that are simple and tell you what to eat when (it makes my life easier) and all the great workouts that help motivate and keep everyone fit. I hope others will be patient with all the time you take to provide the community with these gifts you give to us free. You may not get this same attention the detail at other sites. Recently I purchased a meal plan and DVDs from another popular site for my daughter , who also loves Blogilates. After two weeks with the plan the feedback I got was there are numerous errors in the plan and the recipes confuse tsp (teaspoon) and TBSP (tablespoon)making food inedible , pictures show ingredients not in the recipe, etc…. Since the site doesn’t do refunds I wasted my money$$$ and my daughter wasted her time organizing the recipes trying to figure out what to eat when and her money from the food she couldn’t eat from incorrect recipes. Cassey has taken the time to make the meal plan simple for everyone to follow , you don’t need a degree in Nutrition to figure it out. Let’s all show Cassey and others in the community a little love. Try to keep these comments positive and constructive not destructive. Let’s help build each other up not pick each other apart. Thanks!
Hi Cassey!
I just wanted to say thank you for putting up your videos for free. I can’t afford to go to a gym and do classes, so when I stumbled across your videos on Youtube I latched on. I really appreciate that you are willing to put work into something that really helps other people.
It’s funny – my parents/friends/fiance all chuckle at me because when I talk about POP Pilates, I say things like, “then we had to do these awful squats”. They think it’s hilarious that I do POP Pilates by myself but feel like we are exercise buddies. Thank you for encouraging me to do 8 more, and not to put that leg down. Somehow you always know just when I’m about to give in.
Before doing your videos I felt 90% bad about myself, but doing POP Pilates has given me strength and confidence, and I’ve learned to love my body more because I’ve worked for the boldness of the curves as opposed to just ‘being burdened’ with them because of genetics. Now I’m only insecure on rare occasions. Thank you for that.
Anyway, long story short: Thank you. You have helped develop my confidence and shown me how to be content with who I am and what I look like. You are a gem, and I’m sorry that there are some unkind people floating around at the moment.
Cassey, you’re amazing and I think people are just taking you for granted because they have become used to free workouts and meal plans, and stacks of encouragement to get off their butts and work their butts off! I think you are incredible and a true inspiration for me! I just went on my school holidays last week, I’m eating clean, working out cardio and Pilates every day with your videos and being pushed to my limits! Already, I’ve lost all my bloating, I feel lighter, I’m so close to a flat stomach, and my arms and shoulders are so sculpted! I look at your legs and awesome thigh gap and that’s what pushes me to keep aiming for one too! After a week with your ‘personal’ training, I’ve lost three kilos!! Just keep that smile on your face Cassey, and just think of all the people you inspire, like me! Haters gonna hate and they are probably affected by the cold winter of the US too! The sun down in Australia is really helping my mood and energy levels, so I’m all good 🙂 I think you have changed, Cassey! Three years ago, you weren’t as confident, bubbly and awesomely cray-cray as you are now! You are so fun, witty and bursting with energy and that’s what makes your workouts fun too! I used to hate working out until I came across your videos on YouTube! Keep up the amazing work, and please don’t stop your fantastic work! Happy holidays, and damn, you have some fine sexy legs! 😉
xx
Mary
Your legs are amazing!! You are my inspiration =)
I haven’t been as checking in as many of your social media due to schoolwork cassey, but once I received your email, I wanted to check this post out. I want to say that I feel ashamed on behalf of anyone who posted something rude towards cassey and what she looks like or does for us. I appreciate you so much cassey, you are my role model. In fitness and otherwise. You are so beautifl, but I’m not jealous, because I have learned to love myself including my body, which was hard. I love working out with you and reading through all the the usually positive comments on each of your videos. I look forward (impatiently (:) to every one of your videos that you release. All this to say, cassey you’ve created a wonderful community who supports one another and wants to see everyone else and them self succeed. I hope we can all stay positive. Love you all! Xo
I have never left a comment on here before but i have to tell you, It hurts me to see you hurt! I’m so sorry people are being unappreciative and cold towards you, you are my favorite fitness instructor and that includes classes I’ve gone to in person as well as DVDs, both of which cost an arm and a leg. You make it possible for broke college students like me to be able to exercise and stay healthy. Keep your head up girl, you do so much for us and we appreciate you <3
Cassey I’m so glad you brought this up. I read this and it really opened my eyes to how unique everyone is and how we each achieve our ideal body differently. I want you to know (even if you don’t read this) that for the most part, most of the Blogilates community really appreciates the time and effort you put into all your videos and workouts. I know it must not be easy with balancing a busy schedule, future projects, and maintaining a social life but you’ve been doing it for years and this negativity shouldn’t stop you now! Thank you for always being so kind to each of us and supporting us when we’re feeling down. So I want to say that I’m trying to return a favor and tell you to not let the negative people affect your positive outlook. <3
Much love,
Tori
I know everyone’s probably already said something like this, but thank you for writing this post! It means a lot that you care enough to be involved with this whole community/group, and the amazing example of leadership you set is awesome! You dedicate so much of your time to this, and it’s easy to take that for granted…this was a nice refresher 🙂 Thank you so much, again, for everything that you do!
Hey Cassey!
I have never written on here but today I feel the need to. You are the most inspirational person I have come across in a really long time. You truly embody happiness and positive thinking. Don’t listen to those people who feel the need to judge your appearance and work ethic. I am impressed that you have done so much for the community and I respect your vids/merchandise that you charge for. Nobody is obligated to buy them but out of appreciation it would be nice if those who could spare some cash did every once in a while. You have taught me more than fitness and although I originally began my journey out of vanity, I have come to learn that it is the challenges I overcome and the strength that I gain that is the most important. Keep being happy and doing what you do best, inspiring us.
Cassey,
I think that what you’re doing is amazing. I’m a fitness instructor and a certified nutritionist myself and being a part of your community has given me the inspiration to keep going and in turn keep my own students moving. I appreciate everything you do and I am so refreshed by how positive you keep such a large community of people.
I’m a part of the 12week program and I have the Fit Journal, which I LOVE btw!! I did not mind waiting for the journal because I knew it would arrive and when it did it would be worth the wait. And it was 🙂
Keep it positive my dear!! We all love you!!
Wow, I just realized how similar our thigh gaps look. I really didn’t think people would complain about that. It seems weird to me, besides thigh gaps change by the way your hips are configured and it’s also in the genetics as well. Some people think thigh gaps tell whether a person has skinny legs or not but that’s not true, you could be skinny and have really close together legs and not have a thigh gap. My friends and I joke about how haters are just jealous and in some cases they are.
Cassey,
You are wonderful and I’m VERY THANKFUL for everything you do. I’m not an avid member of the Blogilates community as far as feedback and forums but I keep myself updated with your app and this website.
It is inevitable that when you start an online community negativity from others will find ways to sneak in. With every good comes the bad, right? So please don’t stop what you’re doing!! I understand why you’re upset… But remember there are many more people who appreciate you than there are who don’t. You have too much support <3
YOU GO GIRL! 🙂
Cassey,
The fact that anyone would complain about blogilates or anything that you do is beyond my comprehension!! I have often thought to myself “how does she find the time to do everything that she does?” You have to be working 24/7! The number of projects that you are constantly juggling–all for our benefit and all FOR FREE–is crazy. And the fact that anyone would criticize your body is just stupid. Please know how much you are appreciated! Please don’t ever quit!
Blogilates is the best, most honest, positive, and effective approach to fitness that I have ever come across and I could never thank you enough for all you do!
I get it. It just about the journy and being apperceive off how far yourself has comenon this fitness journey. Best thing is DONOT COMPARE yourself with others.
I hope the negativity leaves.
I just wany my journey to be fun and self for filling.
Ta.. xox
You’re inspirational and awesome for doing this in the first place! Thank you Cassey! Keep it up and i love you DVD!! I’m sprawled out on the floor by the end of it lol! I appreciate you for doing this for free cuz some of us just can’t afford personal trainers, THANK YOU!! 🙂 Put a smile on your face and keep going!
You are an inspiration to so many people and you are truly beautiful inside and out. Those people clearly do not understand what real beauty is and I think that it is a shame that they’d rather promote negativity than positivity. You are a great role model who is passionate about health and fitness, and we appreciate how hard you work to keep Blogilates going strong. Please know that we support you. Thank you for all that you do and always remember that you are a great person!
a thigh gap is usually unattainable for most girls since it’s the width of your hips that really give you that shape. It does NOT mean that you are fat or need to lose weight if your thighs touch! It is just how some people are built.
I think you look amazing, you always were.
I love you and your workout, it is really helping me to not only look better Im also feeling better…
So THANK YOU! for everything…
Oh Cassey I felt so bad that you are hurt!!!U r wonderful and selfless person i have come across..many have big words to say but i found u the practical person. u r working hard for us and i appreciate you and bless you. it hurts when you work hard and u get these sort of msgs/comments.. ignore them and be positive as u always say…V LOVE U CASSEY…..U DNT KNOW HOW MUCH!!!I RESPECT U.:)
I don’t usually comment on things, but I just HAVE to because I feel that if you even read this, you should probably know how much good you ARE doing.
I am pretty skinny, and used to have a thigh gap. People always complimented me on my weight, Despite my weight, and my face, I was never happy with myself. I used to be bullied, and depression ruined a relationship of mine. I’m only 17, it was just my first love, and I am moving on, but still depression RUINED a relationship because he felt that no matter how many times he called be beautiful, he felt like I didn’t trust him. It really bothered him.
Well after that, I wanted to just make myself better, I have no goal, I just want to do everything I can to be better, healthier, and happier.. FOR MEE. And that feeling is the best thing ever. I don’t want to be skinnier, or curvier, or prettier. I just want to be the best I can be.
Annnddd so I started eating better (I had to anyway because of a stomach problem from stress), and working out. I’m coping with my feelings, and am WAY better emotionally now. Its amazing. I just want to be stronger and better, that is all. And watching your videos motivates me to keep it up. From the workouts to dancing when you are doing Cheap Clean Eat, you know how to make someone smile.
As to the thigh gap… It is an obsession that to many have. Recently some teenage girl pointed out mine, calling it weird also. I have your leg build now, due to running a lot more. I honestly love it!!! Apparently now, many think the thigh gap determines how pretty/hot you are. I see real problems stemming from it at my school and I do hope those people get past it. I LOVE YOU CASSEY!! KEEP IT UP!!! PRAY FOR THEM, if you are religious…
Cassey, you’ve touched my life with your happiness and dedication to hard work. My life is changing (For the better!) because of you. All true popsters know you are genuinely interested in helping us all. Your body is the result of all your hard work, and you radiate inner beauty. It is clear to all of us that you are healthy, happy, and making the right decisions when it comes to health and fitness. In my opinion, that’s the definition of being in shape! Keep it up girl! You’re there for all of us popsters and we’ll always be there for you!! Hugs and kisses from the east coast 🙂
i love you and think you are amazing! and i am in love with my yoga mat bag and hoodie and shorts all of which were super discounted for black friday! it means the world to me that you are so selfless in this community and are truly only working this hard for other people’s gain. please don’t give up!
omg im appalled by some of these popsters behavior and what theyve said. Honestly Casey and blogilates are the best things that have ever come into my life. I’m so thankful for everything Casey does, and i share her videos with friends. i always admire how she is somehow able to teach pilates classes, make workout calendars and meal plans (very thought out, pretty ones too, i might add), and make new videos every monday, all at once! i barely have time to do my homework and workout..! i truly admire you casey and it would break my heart if you were ever to stop what youre doing. you are the best motivation ive ever had and you put a smile on my face no matter what mood im in. youve helped me through so much; and helped me learn to be able to accept myself but still work to improve, and make a better me. keep up the great work casey!
love from switzerland! (hopefully i can come to one of your meet ups someday! it would make my dreams come true)
Hello Cassey. I wanted to say that you’re simply amazing. Like, I started doing this because I wanted to get stronger and I’m really really lazy when it comes to… well, everything, but especially working out. The reason I’m still here (I would have given up a long time ago) is that you’re the sweetest, most encouraging person I know. You’re great, screw the negativity, you’re such a happy person you make me wanna be just as happy.
I love you <3
first of all it really disturbs me that there are actual people out there thinking they can deem someone’s thigh gap as good enough or not. What the hell ? your thigh gap is yours only and YOU get to choose what to do with it. we live in a society that is obsessed by public image and what you need to do to look just like everyone else and I know it’s not gonna change any time soon but HERE on BLOGILATES, we are not here to talk about anyone’s thigh gaps or whatever it is YOU think makes someone beautiful but to find our own kind of beauty by being healthy and in an healthy mind. i’m just saying, if you’re just here to criticize Cessy’s or anyone else’s body, from Adele’s to Cara Delenvingne, then you better fuck right off. this is not what we’re about .
ALSO ! i am getting sick and tired of people who think they have a right to expect something from the others, and whine when they do not get what they want. one direction fans are just the same. Cassey has a freaking life, a freaking job, a freaking mouth to feed : hers ! And guess what ? She uses most of her free time to get EVERYONE without any distinction or tricks FREE VIDEOS AND FREE MEAL PLANS AND FREE COMPLIMENTS AND JUST FREE LOVE and you think you have the fucking right to complain ? What the freaking fuck guys ! Okay, so she sometimes put up videos a bit late, so what. it’s gonna screw your Schedule around a bit, NO BIG DEAL you have a WHOLE LIFE you can always do it tomorrow. YOU CAN ALWAYS WAIT. stop bein so impatient, it is only going to bring you stress and you don’t need that. you’re upset, we get it, WELL TELL IT TO YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR AND STOP BEING ANNOYING. it’s only gonna bring you wrinkles, and nothing else ! life is GOOD and life is COOL and life is not STRESSFUL, unless you make it. If you’re not happy with what Cassey gives you, then get out and that’s it. no need to be so childish and complain about it for hours.
i know what it is to wait for a reply from Cassey, as I never did get one to my emails, but i just got over it and moved on and found another way to get an answer to my questions ! she’s a busy girl, and you’re the first to see the results of it, she does all that she does FOR YOU so shut the fuck up, unless you’re at least 2x as generous as she is.
phew. done.
First of all Cassey, your amazing and your videos and calendars have changed my life. Second, I love your legs, and your beautiful. Third, I’m so disappointed in those who say those awful comments. Your working supper hard for us, for FREE! But there are some people who are rotten no matter what you do, but its their insecurities about their body lashing out on yours and the services you provide. Just know you have more positive supporters in this community that respect each other, you and our bodies. Thank for all you do and continue to do. Love always, Joelle.
Hey Cassey it’s actually good to hear this because I’ve been a little concerned about some people’s comments on the forums, especially as there seems to be a lot of young girls who are mainly getting into the blogilates! I think we need to be so careful that these young people aren’t being encouraged to have some stupid “thigh gap” or be stick thin, but rather being fit, healthy and enjoying any kind of food so that life is fun and flavourful in all aspects! Having had anorexia when I was 15 for almost 7 years, I know how rubbish it is to have food an exercise control you because you have no self respect or love for who you are! Like you say it’s so important to appreciate and respect the you inside and not seeking for the “perfect” outer image because that will never satisfy or fulfil you…EVER!! I can certainly say now having been fully healed for 3 years thanks be to God, that I am who I am, and although far from perfect, I wouldn’t change myself and because of this acceptance I choose to feast and have fun as well as trying to be as strong and healthy as I possibly can be!
Lastly Cassey you’re totally absolutely gorgeous and wish I could meet you (shame I live and come from Scotland!) because you’re love, kindness and care just shines through your videos, pics and words! So I for one certainly appreciate all that you’re giving us and I learn new things all the time which I work into my own fitness routine ( I’m into weights just now, but used to do Pilates! 🙂 ) Really hope and pray all the haters get a rain-check and stop the negativities because they’re so unhelpful and totally direspectful!
Anyways thanks again Cassey you’re a real inspiration 🙂
God bless 🙂
Loves, Catriona
The gap, or the lack of the gap, the curve is defined by your genetics. That’s all.
Actually it isn’t defined by ur genetics but ok
number 1: I love your legs, they’re strong AND they’re beautiful
number 2: you’re amazing, you really help us all out, you keep us motivated and you make us smile, it’s like working out with a best friend
Don’t let people get you down, we love you.
Hey Cassey,
I was a teenage girl who hated her body and had self-esteem issues. Thanks to you, I’m now a happy, confident teenage girl who loves life and has given depression the boot.
Thanks for those priceless gifts! You’re on of my heroes!
Can’t believe you’ve been getting such selfish negativity. I wouldn’t even expect that–you give us so much of yourself already. I love you, Cassey! xoxox Stay positive!
Cassey, as one of your POPsters I wanted to say thank you sooo much! I love how positive and inspiring you are. Please don’t give up because of a handful of bad apples. I actually got started on blogilates because of my older sister. She has always struggled with her weight and was having a hard time sticking to a work out and diet. Then she discovered blogilates and I have never seen her so positive. Your meal plans make sense to her and she understands the importance of eating right. Best of all, she looks forward to every workout with you and your ‘spunky’ attitude(: In short, we can tell that you love what you do (we love it to!) don’t give that up! No matter what you do there will be those ‘debby downers’. Let’s get rid of them with the kindness the blogilates community (and Cassey) is so used to seeing!
Much love!!!
-Darcey
Dear Cassey,
I too agree with all others..you are my fitness guru and I have never seen such dedicated, ever enthusiastic, encouraging and pretty fitness trainer like you..whenever I feel like working out, you are there for me!!! you are there for anyone anytime and I swear this is no easy and really hard to keep up going..keep up the good work…100 bows to you 🙂
Sorry you get this thoughtless ungratefulness. It must be gross when you’re so insanely generous & do all this stuff for FREE that people would normally have to pay for. I guess they don’t understand, the sour little humbugs! You could do a basic manners workout lol.
Huge beast love and gratitude attitude to you! xoxox
Sorry you have to deal with that, Cassey. As far as I know, getting that “perfectly” wide, flat-thigh gap is through malnutrition, and I don’t think that should factor into anyone’s happiness formula because we need our nutrients to stay active and ready for the opportunities in life!
I’m hoping that these negative people should understand that the goal of exercise isn’t to look good, but to learn to be comfortable in your own body and understand its amazing capabilities. I happen to love exercising because I can feel how my muscles move as I run or do leg lifts – it’s totally addicting! – and I really hope that others can experience it too.
I really want to thank you Cassey for all of your hard work – taking care your own life is itself difficult, but handling thousands more would make me want to smash my head on my desk 😛 You are a huge inspiration in my life and have helped me become much more positive and cheerful. Know that we POPsters love you very, very much and don’t let that negativity spoil whatever you’re trying to achieve!
Cassey babe!
There is no other fitness goddess out there as creative , generous, dedidaced and sooo hard working as you are. And you know it! Of course people who dont appreciate all your effort and are being impatient hurt you badly. Please Try not to pay attention though it is very hard to hide your hurt feelings.
Thank you for being wonderful inspiration for all of us. Your 12 Week Newbody is a very motivational, is a true gift and challenge at the same time. Cant thank you enough for waht yoh are doing. You are great! Love yoh very much! Hugz
Thuly and truly yours
Elena

Wow, it really ticks me off that someone would even talk about a thigh gap like that, they’re obviously confused because when someone has musculature that’s how a thigh gap looks… Just wanted to say that. Also, I wanted to say thank you to you, Cassey. I haven’t been part of this community for that long, but I have always been into fitness, and your workouts kick my ass! Your food has changed my life! I tried a lot of things before I came across your channel, and your cheap clean eats actually taste GOOD, not something I can say about a lot of the other “super healthy” eats out there. I say that if those negative nancys want to leave the community because they’re not getting their free meal plan on time? Let them. That’s ridiculous. They don’t deserve to be a part of it anyways. You are an amazing person for making all this wonderful stuff available to anyone who wants to push themselves. And that should be enough for anyone coming to you for help!
Cassey you are so lovely! It’s so amazing that you spend so much time creating this awesome meal plan. I will start in 2014, so excited. I’m always telling my friends about you and some of them are joining me 🙂
Lots of love
Cassey, I would just like to tell you that I think you are amazing! I was looking for workouts to do everyday that made my muscles burn and that made me stronger. The reason I started doing Pop Pilates and following your youtube videos, is I found one of your videos on Pinterest, and It inspired me. You have a incredible body, and your videos are fun and I thought I can do this. You are so upbeat, but Your workouts actually work. I can see a difference in my body already after 2 months. I just want you to know, You are Awesome, I love your workouts. Those people that said those hurtful comments can shut it, cause they have no idea what they are talking about. 🙂
I’m proud of you for saying all of this!
I love you cassey!
Thank you Cassie for ALL that you do. You are an amazing person inside and out. You have helped me change my life in a very positive way. Never stop being you!
Hey Cassey! I know it can be discouraging when negative people criticize and don’t appreciate your hard work. So I am writing to let you know that I am truly grateful for all that you do to help people like me from all over the world get and stay fit and healthy. You make exercise and healthy eating fun, easy, and best of all most of it is free!!! 🙂 If I had the money to get the stuff you sell I’d totally buy them too!
Human beings need to lean to recognize real value when it is offered especially when it comes from the heart.
Have a great Christmas Cassey!! from Trinidad and Tobago xo
Cassey, you’re amazing! and fellow POPsters, Cassey is SO right. This fitness journey can be a really big challenge for some of us, so be nice and supportive of one another. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all. Cassey, I’m so sorry people are hurting your feelings when you work SO hard for us. I appreciate you and your work. and I appreciate that everything is free 🙂 Merry Christmas and know that I will always love you and be supportive of you!!!! <3 <3
Your body is beautiful, you are beautiful! Please don’t bring negativity in our community, guys. Let’s all love each other, we are all beautiful.
I can’t even imagine how hard you must work for everybody who follows you. Even if I was frustrated about something (like how I got my Fit Journal a day after I should have, but I didn’t mind!) there would be no reason to complain about it because you do so much for all of us and it’s obvious you’re not just making excuses. People need to get their lives together if they’re going to complain that they can have this life changing opportunity for free but it’s taking them a little longer than anticipated.
I’ve struggled with my weight almost my whole life, I’ve always been a little bit heavier, but in the past couple years I’ve accepted who I am and since working on it I’ve seen some huge improvements and I really love my curves and feel beautiful the way I am. I’ve been really busy with working extra hours and taking care of finals so I haven’t been able to work out as much and I think I should wait to start the meal plan until after the new year, I’m really grateful that you’ve given us the opportunity to improve our lives and our health.
To think that anyone would have the nerve to complain about someone as fit as you – who HAS a thigh gap – is crazy. Everyone has something beautiful about them! Why not focus on the good things about someone instead of imperfections? Even then, I think imperfections are opinions because I’m pretty happy even without a thigh gap and I don’t feel like I’m not good enough because of it. Cassey, I think you’re beautiful and smart and funny and wonderful and I’m glad you’re not letting people and their negativity get to you.
I’m completely thankful for all the hard work and dedication you put into your videos,Cassey. There is absolutely no other fitness YouTube channel as entertaining as yours,so keep doing what your doing.
I think that your body looks toned and that’s why I’m your follower, I don’t want to be a skinny woman, I want to be healthy and get the best body with sport and a clean diet. I’m the Queen of sugar, any sweets, cakes and cravings. For me is a full journey that is easier with a trainer like you, a positive woman, always with a smile, taking about anything during an exercise that is killing me and inspire me for a became a better version of my self with workouts that I can do at home next to my baby (even he’s doing each exercise next to me). So, from France: MERCI !!!!!!
This is really the bully gang mentality, that you see all over the news day in and out! Now they have run out of things to say and ” thigh gap”. Becomes an ugly taunt? Seriously people?? Let’s stick to healthy and happy! These exercises are so awesome to feel your best! Maybe if those haters exercised more, they would have serotonin happiness floating through their brain, increasing the happy potential? Sorry this negativity has entered this site! You are right not to tolerate it friends,
Cassie, you are the best! Enjoy your Christmas! Love you girl!
I have to say the internet teaches me many things, I never realized we were suppose to pay that much attention to the shape of a thigh gap, now I know lol.
Personally I am glad that I ran across blogilates. I am a mom of two and I work part time in addition to that. My husband and I work opposite schedules so we don’t have to pay for a sitter so hitting the gym is very hard to do. I loved pilates in college and now glad that I have the option and the flexibility to have such videos and meal plans at home with no extra charge.
While I enjoy working out, who to do is still mind boggling since I have stepped away from standard workout machines to free weights and pilates, so it is nice to have direction
Sometimes going on the internet and getting all these free videos and content like the meal plans, in addition to never meeting you makes me feel like you’re not really there. This honest post proved to me you’re a human being who gets frustrated sometimes and actually has an opinion! I thank you for blogging about this because the happy girl you normally are to people maybe just wasn’t enough to wake people up from putting others down, etc. Let’s start on a new foot from here. Kudos to you Cassey.
Props! I am working towards a better me so that I can/will have the energy to keep up to my 3 year old. I don’t care about gap between my thighs. I care about being able to out run and out play that little girl of mine. Thanks for coaching me in that process.
Ash
I heard an interesting article on the radio yesterday. It was about someone who won $40,000,000. They looked around themselves and realized that they had everything they needed, their life was blessed. So, they decided to give every penny away. The interesting part was an expert came on and expressed that this person spent their money very well. It isn’t material things that make us happy, it is doing for others. It is being good to others. When you help someone else to achieve their goals you receive more than they do.
What I am trying to say is thank you to Cassey and all of the community for helping others achieve their goals. I have not made any comments before for fear of the response I might get. Truly! So all of you that do know that you are brave to put yourselves out there and you have made an incredible community. I go on my app not for workouts or mealplans but for the feeling of support and encouragement that is there. It is worth more than the nominal monthly fee.
I think you’re amazing Cassey!
I understand how hard it is to keep up a blog and you are doing an exceptional job.
Keep your head up, your thighs together, and rise above the haters 🙂
I love you and its ridiculous how selfish and impatient some people on here are. Also I really don’t understand the obsession with thigh gaps. This is slightly hypocritical of me as I’ve had an eating disorder before and would cry continuously because to me my thigh gap wasn’t big enough. But you’ve helped me overcome that and understand that fitness is WAY better than starving and being sickly underweight. You’ve helped me regain weight I a. Healthy way and I’m now strong and muscley and a hell of a lot better than when I wasn’t eating and had a thigh gap. Let me just point something out. A) thigh gaps mainly depend on how your hips are set. If you have wide hips, you’re more likely to have a thigh gap. And B) malnourished, underweight and sick, close to death people are likely to have thigh gaps. Why would you sacrifice your happiness, health, LIFE and well being just for a stupid bit of air between your legs?
Hi Cassey, I’ve only discovered your blog in the past couple of months and it is amazing. I always wanted to start eating healthy and you made me realize that its not as difficult as it seems and i get to have delicious food which is not harming my body. I am currently doing the 12 week body make over challenge and I received the fitnes journal yesterday and I am so happy with it, so thank you once again for all your hard work to keep us motivated and give us possibilities and hope when others make it difficult.
Oh and P.S you have an amazing figure!
Thank you and all the best for the festive season and new year from Malta (a very small island in the mediterranean sea)

Hi, Cassey,
I joined the community a few weeks ago, but had not had the time to keep up due to school and work. I am so surprised how some people can be so “thoughtless and abusive” toward someone who is trying to help them to feel and look their best. Sometimes people do not realize a gift when it’s staring them right in the face!……keep up the great work that you do and I hope to get completely onboard soon. Much love and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
Hi Cassey,
I just wanted to leave you a positive and happy comment to help lift you up! I think that you and all the work you’ve done to build Blogilates into what it is is just amazing. You are so generous with your time, energy and creativity- and you really seem to have a lot of it. Whenever I do your videos, it always strikes me not just how challenging they are, and how fun, but most of all how you always smile and make happy conversation throughout! When I first found your videos, it blew my mind how great they were, but also that they are free!
As for the people with the negative comments, I feel sorry for them. You must know from your experience in fitness that a lot of people come to you with way deeper troubles than the size of their thighs. Sadly, there is a lot of self hatred out there and no matter how much you do, that negativity and sadness seems to want to spread like some kind of spiritual virus. It’s almost like if they manage to bring you down, they then have the perfect excuse not to have to face themselves. I know it’s weird and I’m rambling, but I have experience with this kind of thing. All you can do is remind yourself why you do it and who you do it for. And, when the day comes that you finally do stop, don’t be ashamed and don’t feel like you’ve failed or lost. The programs and videos you’ve built will still be there, and the positive impact you’ve had on people that want to learn about how to be healthy and fit will always be there too.
In short: I think you’re an amazing person and I’m so grateful for all you’ve done! You deserve all your success and more.
Im so thankful for you to encourage people to love their selfs and their bodies, and not letting their happiness be defined by their size or weight (or even their gap). My sister has this problem and it’s been very hard to show her that even when she reached the gap she wanted things weren’t atomatically good for her. I’m so greatful that I found you in YouTube and because of you I’ve started not only to take care of my body but also my self. I do want to thank you again for writing this kind of stuff because it does not only help people but it is important to hear it once in a while, to remind us the real purpose of taking care of ourselves! Mind body and environment.
I am SO GLAD you posted something like this Cassey! I have been seeing a lot of media about “the thigh gap” over the past year and to be honest, I think that some of these people look disgusting! They have no muscle definition and hardly any fat, that can’ be healthy! I really support what you are doing and I appreciate all the work you out into this blog and into your YouTube channel. I hope that whoever these people are that think your thigh gap is inadequate will have their eyes opened and realize that it is detrimental to their health to try to look like some of the people in the media, because everyone has a different body shape, they should accept who they are.
Dear Cassey,
I have to study so I’ll keep it short:
We love you soooo much. The bigger the projects you take on, the more adversity you’re going to face. But you’re strong! You can power through! And we appreciate you challenging yourself and challenging us and everything you do!
Don’t let the negativity get you down. We’ll just have to power through it!
MWAH! You’re the best!
Mariam
Cassey words cannot describe how much I love you. You have such an amazing personality and I hate the fact that some people don’t appreciate all you do for us. You do so much for our benefit, not asking for anything in return and I admire you so much for that. You do this for us out of the goodness of your heart and I’m so proud to be a part of the POPster community. Stay positive as always and keep going! Lots of love! <3 😀
Hi Cassey,
Thanks for this blog. I think it is healthy and important that you called out the negative tone which you saw developing in your community. I see a lot of that sort of attitude many other places online as well and it is a lot of wasted energy which could be spent encouraging one another or constructively helping one another. So it’s great that you spoke out about it in order to foster the positivity that keeps you going and everyone else going.
Keep up your hard work!
-jackie.
Dear Cassey,
I love your workouts and so far you’re the best for me. I appreciate your hard work and enthusiasm you’re guiding us with. Please ignore those negative comment, you’re doing amazing job!
You are an inspiration. Every negative comment is out of jealousy. I truly value your opinion on body image. YOU LOOK AMAZING. I’ve been following you for years, I love your workouts and recipes! I actually just made the cauliflower pizza the other night and it was delicious.
Happy Holidays Beautiful!
Best,
Lisa
I didn’t read the whole thing, but what people lack the logic of is that thigh gaps are genetically determined by the set of your pelvis.
People, get a grip. No matter how hard you try, some of you will never be able to have a thigh gap.
Snaps to that! I didn’t even know that there was negativity. Thank you so much for what you do.
Hey I’ve been following for a long time without leaving any comments anywhere. I just wanted to let you know I love your videos and I’ve gotten two sisters and one cousin hooked on them. Working on the other sister. 😉
Cassey, don’t listen to the haters! They’re people who are just so unhappy with their bodies and themselves that they blame their flaws and misfortunes on anyone they can. I think you have the best attitude ever, and that’s what inspires me to love and push myself, something I could never do before watching your videos. Although this is besides the topic, I have a question; I am an athlete/hockey player, and I need to pack on muscle. Like, alot. And I struggle because I went from overweight to underweight, and I’m sort of starting to gain weight again, but I want it to be GOOD weight! How do I do this? thank you SOSOSO much<3
I’ve never had a thigh gap, never as a skinny kid or a skinny teenager. My thighs have ALWAYS touched. I’m just made that way…and I’m still beautiful.
Hi Cassey!
I’m so glad you don’t let people’s negativity bring you down. Your positive attitude encourages me to keep a positive attitude as well! Since I have been following your advice of eating clean and working out several times a week, I have lost 7 lbs in the last month. It may not seem much, but for the last 6 years I have been doing nothing but gaining weight. And seeing me slowly getting back to a healthier me motivates me to keep going! Thank you for everything!
Cassey,
All I can say is you are definitely doing RIGHT by your followers.
Thank you <3
Kimi
To be honest I was shocked when I read this post, I couldn’t believe that people would be soo rude and disrespectful! As far as I’m concerned your an amazing woman Cassey who has changed my life x This community means a lot to me, and i can only hope that we can pull together and get rid of this negativity x love you guys
Hi Cassey!
I just want to say thank you for all the hard work you have done to help me want to get in better shape. I have done track and cross country my whole life, until I recently moved to Oregon where I can hardly do anything outside. I love coming home from class and busting out these workouts and feeling amazing after.
Thank you for all hard work! Keep it up!
Hi Cassey,
I’m a professor (kind of similar), it’s a ton of behind the scenes work that no one understands unless they do it themselves. Just wanted to say your amazing and I appreciate you!
Best,
Jenn
absolutely Cassie! No one deserves to be hated on regardless of how others think!
I joined this community because of it’s upbeat attitude and the positive reinforcement! And I love that you work so hard for us! Thanks for everything you do Cassie!
xo
Although I am a regular reader I rarely chime in. After reading your post it reminded me that people (my self included) often take the time to complain but rarely take the time to say thank you. I truly appreciate the time and effort that you take to prepare your workouts and meal plans. I know that I can consistently count on the information provided to be accurate and informative. Please keep up the good work.
CASSEY!!!! You are definitely an inspiration. You dare to tell the sides of fitness and beauty, but still maintain your message about health and happiness being the most important. Thank you for making free videos and blogging 🙂

Hi Cassey!
I work for a small business, and once we started getting bigger, we noticed some increased negativity as well, and people who walk in the store wanting to pick a fight before we even service them. It’s really hard to get past that, but some people are just never going to be happy with anything you do no matter how hard you try. They come in with a negative attitude, and just want to get a reaction from you.
I love your blog, and your community in general is very supportive and genuinely nice. You have an amazing business going, and most of us respect and praise your efforts. Don’t let the few self entitled, negative people get in the way of your dream.
WE LOVE YOU!
Cassey — You are inspirational. You are beautiful, inside and out. Your energy is contagious. You are a positive role model for women of all ages: You are full of life, an AWESOME entrepreneur, incredibly knowledgeable in your field, and (as an added bonus) in great shape.
Negative people will always try to bring you down. Some come from a place of jealousy. Some may simply be ignorant; a lot of young girls do not understand what a healthy woman’s body looks like since they have been shown images malnourished and photoshopped women since they can remember. I think you have a wonderful opportunity to correct these misconceptions. Women naturally store fat in their thighs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen.
Again, don’t let it bring you down.
Cassey,
Your workout videos helped me lose weight for a hip replacement surgery, and are now helping me work off all the weight I gained back during recovery, and get my strength back. I can’t thank you enough for the hard work you do.
As for thigh gaps, this is yet another impossible standard thrust upon women. We are bombarded by advertisements, movies, internet scams and social media that are either selling us unhealthy food or shaming us for eating it and thereby being unhealthy. How is one to stay sane with that constant message of “you’re not good enough?” One has only to look at Pinterest to see the insanity of recipes full of Oreos and cream cheese right next to pictures of women who look like the love child of an Olympic athlete and a supermodel. Now add to that the anonymity of the comment section, where people feel free to spew all the insults and hate they want and think there will be no repercussions.
Thank you for keeping your community in check. You are doing good things and challenging people to find their better selves. Keep up the good work!

mannnnnn~~~~thigh gap…? i think i will be happy with my legs when i can achieve….calf gap?? I never really thought about it..hahaha. 😀
regardless, thanks for all you do, cassey. we all need reminders now and again to act like human beings, compassionate and supportive of each other.
Hi, Cassey
You do amazing work. Don’t let others bring you down. Most of them are just jealous. You know who you are and what you give to all of us. I love your workouts even though I am dead on my feet when I finish them. 😛
Keep up the good work 😀
Anais
Hi Cassey,
I am so sorry you had to put this out there, no one should have put you in this position. I am a huge fan of your attitude, your videos, and your commitment to the online fitness community.
I just want to say that you are beautiful from the inside and it resonates outwards. I really want to encourage you to keep doing the work you are doing, because there are thousands of girls like me, who may never comment on a video or a post, but we follow your routine and appreciate your hard work everytime we go to your channel or open an email from you.
I hope you keep going, because you’ve inspired me.
I’ve never posted anything on here but this made me really sad. Kudos to you for taking it as well as you do. I probably would not. I really do appreciate all that you do. I am a stay at home mom in a very small town so there’s not really any opportunities to go to a pilates class and I don’t really have the extra money to do it anyway. I have been doing your pilates work outs for a year and a half and love them. I am losing weight and developing muscle for the first time in my life! Not only are the work outs challenging and fun, but you are a huge encouragement. At first I thought that the clean eating idea was a bit extreme and not something realistic for me. Then I started really listening to you and doing some research. I am buying and preparing much healthier food for my family, mostly thanks to your encouragement (and your recipes-love the clean eats videos!). I don’t know that I’ll ever be as self disciplined as you are, but we’re eating healthier than we used to. : ) I think that you have a wonderful attitude and you make sure that you share it often. Whether its in a video or a blog post, you are always the first person to say that loving your body the way it is is more important than reaching a number on a scale or looking like a model. I felt so much better about myself when you said (some time ago) that not everyone can even get a thigh gap. My thighs are one of the heaviest parts of my body. I know that I can continue to work and that as my overall body fat decreases my thighs will get smaller, but I no longer feel like if I don’t have that gap, I’m just not working hard enough. Like you said, what is enough? I know I’ve written a novel here. I didn’t mean to. I really hope that you know how much I appreciate you though. You are always honest with us even though you have never met most of us. That’s pretty incredible. And I just want to say thank you for that honesty, your encouragement and all of the work that goes into the site because you really are improving the quality of life for a lot of us. I recommend your site to friends all the time because I know that anyone who watches you will learn a lot and be encouraged.
Cassey,
I do not know who writes such terrible negative things. I work in a community (the navy) where nothing is certain. Deployment could come at any moment. And any change in the world political climate affects us. Your website is one of the few constant things that I have to look forward to. People who feel as if you are not promising things or who cannot understand why someone might be a day late on something clearly need to find a new perspective. Maybe put in some volunteers hours at a charity. You are amazing and always are able to kick my butt in every workout!
Thank you Cassey! I love following your blog, you are so encouraging, creative, and fun!
Oh wow, here’s a funny fact; the reason that her gap is “curvy” is that she has muscles, which is what a lot of the blogilates videos are about. A straight gap is achieved from not eating. Now chose what is better, legs with muscles or legs with fat?
Totally! Not eating! Straight thigh gaps that people are obsessed with just plain old remind me of anorexia patients and Nazi prison camp victims. I know some women have them naturally due to their body type & that’s different. Starved isn’t a look we’re aiming for!
OMG NO OFFENSE BUT YOUR GAP HAS WAVES hahaha srsly that’s just not normal thing to say ever. It makes me laugh uncontrollably because its something a weird purple spiky alien mean girl would say to another weird purple spiky alien girl. “OMG did you see her antennae? Basically touching! And her gap has waves.”
Cassey is freakishly stunning so long as you eyes work!
you GO Cassey!! Thanks for all you do for us!! Truly amazing =]
Hi Cassey!
I just joined blogilates a few weeks ago and i gotta say its amazing. I love your videos, and you too!
I just wanna say that, your body is perfect. I love how its not so skinny nor so big. Its just perfect. It shows that you are healthy and fit.
CASSEY! Just want you to know that because of you I became a certified Pilates instructor and am now a teacher at my local gym. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds and look better than ever. You are a true inspiration.
haterz gon’ hate…. am i right?
XOXO
I really do not understand this thigh gap thing. To quote Oprah, “be your best self.”
And that is a different benchmark for each of us.
THANK YOU SOO MUCH LADY! You do an amazing job and are staying true to yourself while helping others in a healthy positive way! Plus your strong enough to speak your mind and valure your self worth in how people address you! I agree as women we have a nasty habit of being ugly to other women which has to stop! But thank you soo much for what you do and offer! A lot of your followers really dont take you for granted!
KEEP IT UP
Cassey, don’t let bad comments bring you down! You are a super good trainer! I really appreciate your work! You are wonderful! Thanks for uploading all those videos and for free! You are an awesome human being! And don’t worry, I can’t see any “curves” or “waves” in your gap (what?). Don’t worry! We all love you, i’m sure! <3 <3 <3
Keep being awesome! 🙂
Cassey,
The FREE meal plan that you provided is full of tasty recipes that are just as fun to make as they are to eat! I also love your cheap clean eats series, the vegan spring roles are so gooood. I happily paid for your fitness journal because of the connivence of getting the meal plan all at once and because I hoped the journal would help me stay on track, and I have no regrets. I also don’t mind paying for the subscription to the app because it’s cheap and the amount of videos that you do for free is crazy awesome. I’m sorry that some people have brought you down. I love doing your videos and learning about how to eat better, and I am super thankful for all your hard work.
Also thank you for pointing out that there are more important things than how you look. You are truly beautiful inside and out <3
Cassey, I am so sad you even had to address this. People tend to point out what they don’t like about themselves. I have two beautiful and healthy daughters, (yep, Im biased). One tall and stick thin (16), one a little “curvey”. She is 5’6″ and 125 lbs. She works in retail and had a customer buying a skirt for her own daughter. She had the nerve to say “My daughter is about your height but not as fat.” Really? When are women going to realize they should support each other and stop putting each other down? We all need to figure out what is motivating us when we feel compelled to make a negative comment towards anyone. If it is to compare someone to your standard of perfect, or to put someone else down, why? Take a look at your self esteem for a second ladies. Sorry to turn all “mommy” on you all, but like I tell my own daughters, girls can be mean, especially when they don’t feel good about themselves. Keep up the good work Cassey! You are motivating so many women, and believe me when I say your positivity does not go unnoticed. It’s a big part of why we love you!
Wow. FYI to the girls out there…you can tell when someone just naturally has a thigh gap or when they have starved themselves to create one. What I find really beautiful, is when girls focus on growing their inner beauty and embrace THEIR figure. To girls who have the same goal as I do (which is: to be strong, not skinny), it couldn’t matter less whether we naturally have a thigh gap or our thighs are touching or WHATEVER.
My thighs have always touched and I am thin. I am 22 years old, barely 5’3 and I weigh 110. I don’t even WANT a friggen thigh gap because I know that with my natural build, that would require me to starve myself and be as weak as a toothpick. Plus who cares….it’s THIGHS for crying out loud!!! As long as you are healthy and strong, who really gives a crap?? It is such an immature, juvenile, ridiculous notion and I don’t get how people can fall for this garbage. My husband raises his eyebrows and rolls his eyes whenever he hears someone talk about a thigh gap. He loves my thighs just the way they are, touching or not.
I really wish people would get over this ridiculous fad and move on with their lives.
Cassey, you are GORGEOUS (inside and out) and a damn strong woman! I am eternally thankful for all this work you do, allowing us to access it for FREE (for a girl on a tight budget, this is HUGE…THANK-YOU)… finding your website has changed my lifestyle and for the first time since being diagnosed with Lupus in 2009, I am regularly exercising and feeling more fit than ever! Without knowing it, you joined me in my journey in March 2013, coaching me first through 2 months of 5-10 minute workouts 5 days a week (as I could not handle more at the time) and now finally coaching me through 30-45 minute workouts 5 days a week! THANK-YOU.
I agree with Edith and I’m sure with many other women out there. I have diabetes and have been deciding to try my best to lose weight, watch what I eat s that I can still be here for my family and be healthy. People out there are so judgemental and haters. They need to take a look at themselves in the mirror and self evaluate! Don’t hate just Appreciate! I appreciate women out there like you who has a great positive attitude and want to help other women to achieve their goals! Thank you! I really appreciate the encurgement that you bring out with your workoout videos. I just started seeing two and i can tell that my body aches but i feel great emotionally!
So keep up the great job Cassey! Keep on doing what you do best!
oh by the way…having trouble with not receiving password 🙁 I want to get started. THANKS!
Cassey,
I cannot even begin to express how much you have changed my life and how happy I am you’ve worked your ass off to make it possible for others to be happy and healthy and in beautiful shape! I started blogilates a couple years ago, and that got me wanting more, so I joined fitness in school this year and I absolutely love it. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have ever thought to do this. You’re so fun and bubbly and happy, and seeing your personality wanted to make me be a better person, and who better to start with than myself. Thank you so much for always going out of your way so others can further their selves, and for changing my life and making me a happy, healthier person. It’s a journey, and I’m so glad I started on it.
Please keep doing what you’re doing!
Love,
Jamie
Thinking of the quote from Legally Blonde:
“Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy, happy people just don’t shoot their husbands. They just don’t.”
I have come to the conclusion that the people who have been Negative Nancy’s or picking at your legs, (hello you have fantastic legs, thighs touching or curvy) have not been exercising. If they were the endorphins wouldn’t make them so catty. Just my thoughts on the matter. But you’ve definitely inspired me so much. (:
Cassey, You rock. Don’t let negativity get you down. I appreciate all you do for the fitness community I love that when I don’t want to head to the gym, I can access your amazing workouts from home at any time. THANK YOU 🙂
Hi Cassey, I feel so priviledged to be even following your full length videos because I feel that your really put in alot of effort for us subscribers and I really do have to work hard to keep up. I am glad that you are voicing out your thoughts and I totally agree with you that happiness is not a destination, it is about being. I will continue to support you!
I’ve read this post… I wanna thank you for your hard work 🙂
and….. I. LOVE.YOU. haha (oops, sorry it sounds lesbian ;))
Thank you :))
Just know there are also a lot of viewers who appreciate all your hardwork and it is amazing and awesome of you to do so much without charging your viewers <3
Thank You, and Your Awesome!
P.S I never really comment/post but just wanted to show my appreciation for what you do.
Same here, I actually wanted to say the exact same thing 🙂
Don’t ever let yourself feel bad because of the negative dispositions of some people. They are obviously so insecure in themselves that they feel the need to try to bring people like you down. You are beautiful and strong and nothing a couple of narcissists say changes that. You are the minority. The optimist, the do-gooder. The world needs more people like Cassey Ho! It’s so lovely to come across people who are so positive, it’s like an ora around you, I can feel it through your videos all the way over here in England. Keep your chin up and just remember, we don’t have the right to expect anything of you and know that there are many more people like me that appreciate everything you do! God bless.
Hello, guys!
First of all, I wanna just thank you Cassey for being such a big inspiration to everyone in the blogilates community. You are truly such a sweet and amazing soul and I honestly feel really blessed to have found you (:
I think that there will always be people reacting negatively to certain situations but I feel that you have done such an amazing job so far and there is absolutely nothing you should be ashamed of because you are so awesome, giving us these workouts and just being you! And I like how you encourage us to not only work towards achieving the body of our dreams, but to ultimately attain true happiness and to feel that inner peace and satisfaction from accomplishing whatever we set out to do. Thank you for being you, Cassey! Love you so much! <3
Cassey, I am sorry about what people are saying in the community. I love the message you send out and appreciate all the positivity you bring to my life, not just the workouts.
Hi Cassey,
I have been a POPster for just over a year now, and all I can say is Thank You. Sincerely and greatly, thank you! I have tried so many programs, wasted so much money on dvds and classes that just don’t give anywhere near the enthusiasm that you do. It’s one of the reasons I joined! I love that you and this whole community is all about helping each other out and supporting one another. When you made your release for the #newbodymakeover I was blown away! I thought “how awesome of Cassey to take the time and make the immense effort to not only give us a meal plan AND a workout diary for WAY cheaper than anywhere else, but to offer us the meal plans to us for FREE with only a minor request that we follow you across — wow 3 whole platforms! Like we aren’t already on youtube (watching your videos), and wow a facebook like is SOOO hard and we totally aren’t on it all the time anyway, so twitter is the only one that you requested really, and let’s get real here — half of us are on twitter just as much as we are on facebook. So really you were basically just giving it to us for being us, avid POPsters. I am so sorry that you have had to deal with negativity and people calling your integrity into question. After all you have done for us as a community, that is absolutly the last thing you deserve. You remember, that for as many negative comments that you read, there are hundreds more postive ones that aren’t posted because for some reason we always feel the need to post negative stuff and not praise. So I want applaud you for not only doing everything you do for us POPsters (asking so little of us in return) but for calling those people out and helping to bring this community back to the happy, supportive, and POSITIVE way it has always been.
Thank you Cassy for everything.
Jessica CW.
Hi Cassey! I did not know this was happenig in blogilates community! When hinestly I feel like ou are one of the best youtube trainers outhere since yoh focus more on your watchers than making money. I follow countless fitness gurus and you are the only one who gives out full length videos, free calendars and a FREE MEAL PLAN. I know a youtube guru whi even stopped making full videos for youtube, now you have to pay 10 a month! I was so dissapointed. I k ow other youtubers who constanty send out emails reminding you to buy their $150 14 day meal plan. I am entirely grateful to have you still faithful to your watchers, and I understand keeping a few things for payments, but you didn’t leave us poor people behind! Thank you Cassey for everything!
Your faithful supporter
Marielena 🙂
I visit a large number of fitness websites for workouts and nutrition. But when my 15 year old niece asked me about where she could go for workout ideas, there was only ONE website I gave to her — yours. I think that your consistently positive outlook, your encouraging style, and the quality of your workouts are phenomenal. Furthermore (and most important for teenaged girls) you always have good messages about being kind to yourself and others, loving yourself, respecting and honoring your body, and encouraging others. It is hard to find this level of commitment for positive messages in the fitness industry, especially online. You are doing great!
Thank you for all you do!
Cassey,
I just really want to thank you for all of your hard work. When I first encountered your page, videos, resources etc, I said to myself, ‘ really? It’s free?’ No matter how awesome you are there will always be criticism. But I hope that with one negative comment you know that there are thousands of positive ones. You have changed so many lives incluing mine. Personally speaking, I have been more motivated to eat healthy and live actively all the while realizing that it can be FUN! Fitness and health no longer are a duty but something I WANT to incorporate into my daily life.
You are one of the most fun, motivating, and caring fitness gurus out there. Keep doing what you’re doing, being awesome like you always do, and know how much the blogilates community loves and appreciates you 🙂 Thank you so much for your continued love, support and hard work.
Love, Yer
This community is a family of strong, beautiful women who support one another on their unique fitness journey. Although it is upsetting to hear about negativity, I know the community won’t let a few rotten comments spoil what we are all here for. Blogilates has changed my lifestyle, how I feel about myself, and has allowed me to motivate and inspire others. We love you Cassy. You do extraordinary things for so many of us. I wanted to personally thank you for loving you body because it’s teaching me to love mine, for loving Pilates and challenging my mind and body every video, for creating my fitness family that motivates me and let’s me know I’m not alone, and taking the time for every single detail with everything you do. We will continue to sweat happy and train like beasts (not act like them haha)
Hey Cassey,
I just wanted to let you know how much I love you. I appreciate all of the hard work you do for us, you are so selfless!! Those comments are so horrible – clearly they are unhappy in themselves to have to pick apart other people. For me, Blogilates is all about making yourself into the best person you can be, for yourself – it isn’t right to criticize anyone else’s body.
I think you are beautiful inside and out and you have made me believe that I am too.
Please never give up on us, we POPsters love you so much!!!!! <3333
Nina xxxx
Hi!
I just came upon your Youtube/website this month and let me tell you – I LOVE IT-
Thank you so much, you make fitness fun and easy!
I am not usually a commenter, but I really wanted to thank you for your hard work, honesty, and positive influence for women. I’m not saying this is always the case because absolutes don’t exist, but when I browsed the conversations on the app, I noticed that most of the bad advice and negative comments were coming from much younger women (I am 29). It seems to me that it is a lot more difficult nowadays than when I was in my teens and early 20s to love yourself for who you are and ignore the media misinformation and misguided pressure from other women. I learned long ago that what someone else thinks about me or my body has zero weight compared to the person I know I am and how I feel. It really pays to remember that you should treat others the way you would like yourself to be treated. I am 5’7, 160 lbs, a size 10 bottom and small/med top, have zero “thigh gap” if that is really a thing to be conscious about, and I LOVE every inch of myself. I eat clean, cook nearly everything I eat from scratch, work out, and feel fantastic. My body has hiked mountains, swam coral reefs, and kayaked oceans. It’s amazing to think what else it will be capable of in the future. I am healthy, very strong, and confident and that translates to how people interact with me. Please, PLEASE, young women, ALL women out there, treat your mind, body, and others well and I promise everything else will fall into place. Perfection isn’t reality, but happiness is so don’t be so hard on yourself.
Hey Cassey! I have been following you, your videos and meal plans since November 2012. I just wanted to take a moment to say that I applaud you for standing up for yourself and your followers and taking a stand against bullying. I admire your drive and ambition…keep it up and I think I can think for all POPsters when I say “Thank you for every (big and little) thing you do to ensure that effective and fun fitness is accessible to everyone!”
Happy Holidays,
Jennifer
So, you already have 800 comments on this, and I know you have tons of fans to boost you up and remind you that most of the people around here truly appreciate what you do.
I wanted to come in and assure you there are quite a lot of people who are rarely around here (I’ve posted maybe…twice) who also appreciate what you do. I’m not your usual demographic, which is the primary reason I don’t hang around here and comment or participate, but I love the workouts and the advice, etc. I LOVE the continual flow of motivation. So, than you for all that.
I don’t do all your videos, I don’t even visit your website all that frequently. I am loving running right now but I come to you when I don’t want to run. I REALLY appreciate all the free stuff you have! I downloaded the app on my phone but didn’t do much with it because I didn’t want to pay for it (since I don’t use it very often) but then I found multiple other videos of yours that TOTALLY kick my trash. I’m sore for days afterwards, and I like it.
So, thanks for all your hard work putting all your content out there. Thanks for your fun, upbeat personality (I wondered why you talked so much while doing moves but figured it out when I was distracted by what you were saying instead of thinking as much about how HARD the move was!).
Hi Cassey
Please don’t give up! People are going to be negative, but I believe you’re a strong enough person to smile and ignore it! You are beautiful and a fantastic trainer!! I really enjoy your videos. Keep going and don’t let anyone stop you from being happy and making others happy. Because honestly you’re making a lot of people happy And loving their bodies as well. Merry Christmas and happy new years.!!
Hey cassym i just joined this amazing community in Nov 17th, 2013. To be honest, I feel I’m ome of the luckiest ones cuz I found it at the right time. I always feel AWESOME when I finish the daily workout and I keep thinking what I’m gonna do when she stops posting the monthly calendar and positive motivations. Seriously, no lies. I’m sure they are many great trainers, but you just have that positive halo that every one notices it when doing your workout, God bless you.
Much love,
Kei
CHYEAH GIRL.
I am glad you finally said it.
You are gorgeous- and if I had a thigh gap, i’d want it to look EXACTLY like yours. So poopoo whoever said that. Also, are people really so mean they are attacking other peoples’ thigh gaps ??? I can’t believe that’s even a thing.
Another thing, its seems people always want something free. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being able to do your work outs for free. But hey, you gotta have some $$ in the bank,too- like all of the rest of us!
Keep up your excellent work- and know there are always bratty people in this world that try to tear down the beautiful happiness you possess and SHARE every day.
Hi Cassey,
It’s always a shame when people are self centered, egotisitcal and selfish and fail to realise that what you do is so valuable. You have to realize, as I’m sure you know, that some people are horrible and don’t respect anyone you just have to walk down a street to see that. They don’t realize how good they have it getting free workouts and meal plans. When you started the body makeover I thought to myself what a great opportunity that is for so many people who can’t afford a fitness instructor and dietician. I thought how generous you must be to do this. I thought, wow, you must care. It shocked me because in this selfish world it’s rare to come across someone like you.
I appreciate your workouts. I can see changes in myself, sure I have a way to go but I’m happy with my progress. Who doesn’t want to be healthy and fit???
Thank you,
Monica.
I just want to say Cassey, that I appreciate EVERYTHING that you do. You are one busy woman and you DO give almost everything for free on here. It’s such a shame that people don’t understand or appreciate what you do. I lost over 20lbs doing your workouts and probably on my way of losing a lot more. You have done more for me in six months than four years at a gym. I can’t believe the gall some people have saying that your thigh gap isn’t big enough. Like WTF?? You are extremely fit and it shows. You inspire so many people everyday, so don’t forget that.
I really appreciate your honesty here. As someone who doesn’t HAVE, and doesn’t WANT a “thigh gap” — it’s fine if you have it, I just think it’s silly to try to get one to the point t that thigh gap > being healthy and liking your body (and has more to do with your body shape and leg/hip alighment than anything else) — I really like how you’re addressing this negativity. I think part of it has to do with how popular Blogilates has gotten, and that with a surge in community, plus a workout-series (12week) people will start to get competitive and it’s easier tear others down than it is to build yourself, or anyone else, up.
Which is to say, with all the negativity, ain’t nobody got time for that.
Hey Cassey!
One of the main reasons why I started following Blogilates and doing your workouts was because of your positive and happy attitude. You actually make it FUN to work out! Plus, I don’t have to pay to go to a gym or buy workout videos or a subscription to anything. You do it because you genuinely love being fit and getting others to do the same. So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all you do! Don’t listen to the haters 🙂
Hey Cassey?
Is there anyway you can access the meal plans without a twitter? You see, I’m one of your younger fans and I love your videos and would like the try the challenge. But I am not able to access the meal plans because I don’t have a twitter. Will you be releasing the meal plan a later date? If so, I can totally wait!
By the way, I’m sorry some people are feeding you negative comments. I think you are crazy devoted to us and I thank you so much for your energetic and supportive videos! No matter what you do, there will always be people who don’t support you. Just ignore them and do what is right 🙂
Thanks again for everything Cassey,
Cheyanne
Hi Cassey, I’ve been following your blog and workout videos since October and would already be so sad to see them end. You are an inspiration and truly appreciated! Thank you for all you do and for keeping it FREE! Happy Holidays!! Sending lots of cheer your way!
Good for you for standing up for yourself against the entitlement mentality.
OMG, I’m gonna try really hard to not say anything bad about the people you’ve just talked about (my inner sassy woman is coming out right now)
You’re right, let them take their negativity ELSEWHERE because you deserve better Cassey. You’re the most wonderful training instructor in the whole wide world because of all your free videos and your bright, positive attitude. Thank you for all the hard work that you’ve put into us! Please don’t stop… I BEG YOU!!!!!!!! *flowing a river of tears*
I love your legs too Cassey!! I especiallyy love the ‘curvy’ or ‘waves’ part because it means you are toned and work out and are fit! They are perfect XD <3 x
I will keep this short! You are so loved and appreciated by so many of us. I’m so sorry for you or anyone else these negative people have hurt. Thank you for being firm and working to keep this a positive environment. There is already enough negativity in the world. It’s so wonderful to have a positive place to escape to and see your smiling face! We all love you Cassey! Thank you so much for ALL you do for us! Xoxo
Cassey, you are incredible and totally awesome. As for the haters, tell them to “chew a toenail”. (When you think about it, that is really a gross thing. 🙂 ) I appreciate you!! Thank you for being who you are and caring the way you do.
Hey Cassey 🙂
Just wanted to say that I’m also really sorry for all the hate you’ve been getting, and I’m so glad that they don’t affect you! You are an amazing person and great motivator! And you have no idea how much you have changed me and made me more confident. Thank you for all your hard work, it means a lot to a lot of us <3
Hey Cassey an every one else in here!
I really wanted to say thank you Cassey! You do such a hard work for all of us! I really love you for your honesty and your cheerful nature. Stay as you are and don´t forget, that there are many of us, who are so thankful for your work! Even if I can´t fallow the meal plan, because of my food allergies, I appreciate the work behind it and all your supporting videos and blogs!
Wish you all the best and a happy and merry christmas from Austia!
Cassey, you’ve been a great influence in my recovery from bulimia and if that’s not well beyond enough of what a person can do then I don’t even know! You’re such an amazing inspiration and you give so much of yourself in all this it’s so wonderful to see. Speaking for myself, and I’m sure many others, I am TRULY GRATEFUL for everything you do!
Also “curvy thigh gap” – seriously? If you don’t know what a muscle is then maybe you shouldn’t comment on a fitness video. This ignorance has to stop! I used to be one of those girls who craved a thigh gap, but I was severely ill with an eating disorder. It makes me so incredibly sad to see something that’s associated with a disordered mind spreading as something we should all strive for. I overcame these thoughts when I was recovering and I’m glad to say that today I love my body (no gap in sight!). If you want to know how you can be happy with your thighs, know that what you need to work on is not how you look but how you look at yourself!
Ever since I was little, when we walked together in public and saw a girl with a huge thigh gap, the first thing that my mom would say was “She looks as if a train can pass between her legs. So unflattering.” I first heard of this thigh gap thing when I joined the blogilates community 2 years ago and although I considered back them my thighs a “trouble area” I still did not opt to achieve a thigh gap by exercising. I am just happy that my thighs are firm thanks to your exercises and I always promote you to everybody I meet because I am just too grateful for your efforts. I rarely write you comments because I know you know how grateful I am, and instead I like, share, and retweet almost everything you post. I always, however, comment when I see people trying to get you down. IDIOTS! They just hate themselves and would feel better if everyone around them was miserable.
Love you Cassey! <3
Can I just send you a high five & a hug???? Because well said, lady! Spread the freaking cheer! It’s Xmas time!
Cassey, I felt so mad reading this post because I found out that the are so many people who won’t accept anyone. You are an inspiration to me EVERY SINGLE DAY! I have you as my cellphone background and whenever I see it, I remind myself of the awesome work you do. And you do it for free. Every day those people should think that the community has grown and so has your work. You are always telling us that you are full of new projects for US! And you always surprise us with each challenging workout you post.
These people should be conscious of that. Of the hardworking, self-conscious person you are and what you do for THEM as well.
Hi Cassie~a friend introduced me to you this summer and I think you, your workouts and positive outlook are all great. Love the calendar, meal plan, and all the free perks! Thanks for helping us well insulated folks have a better outlook on our bodies and life. I have no time to read the blog so didn’t see the negative comments..but think you just keep going where you are–and rise above the dark side… Life is short, and better because people like you take the time to make it so. Thanks! Rock on Cassie!
Cassey,
I hardly ever comment on your posts but I want to thank you for all the hard work you do!!!!!! Thank you for always being realistic and helping us to love our bodies the way they were created to be!!!! I have shared your videos with my friends and I look forward to every new video, or new plan or new surprises that you put out!!
I appreciate you!!!!! xoxo
Cassey,
Oh my goodness! I can’t believe anyone would ever say that about you. You are so beautiful (inside and out), caring, and helpful. Plus, you got some hot thighs!!! 🙂 Thank you so much for all you do.
I’ve lost 15 pounds since the summer.. I feel empowered and encouraged and you have been the biggest friend and supporter through the entire process. But, you are also right.. Even after this weight loss I feel very self-conscious. I’m 2lbs less than my goal weight and still feeling like I need to lose more. Showing me this could be a deeper issue with the “more” mind.
I know in your post you said none of it hurt your feelings. I hope that is all true. It would’ve hurt mine. I think anyone who gets at the level you are at faces some sort of adversity like this. But, please remember all of the people who love and appreciate you. I for one am so thankful for the meal plane and you not only followed through with your promise but you over excelled. It is outstanding.
Thank you. Thank you. love you, Cassey
I appreciate everything you do Cassey!! Thanks so much for everything!
This is ridiculous! If you have a thigh gap, that’s good. If you don’t that’s good too. I don’t understand the importance of having a thigh gap. It does not make you healthier or more attractive than someone without a thigh gap and vice versa. I wasn’t aware that there were rules of having a thigh gap, how wide it should be and what shape it should be. People need to stop focusing on trivial matters. Cassie has a thigh a gap that looks the way it does and it’s nobody’s business. It’s cruel to talk negatively about it. People should focus on their own bodies. Let’s not spread negativity but positivity and support instead. Have a blessed day everyone
I absolutely Love your page!!! I really appreciate all you do to help me on my fitness journey! I don’t know why anyone would be rude to you! You are GORGEOUS!!! I hope that I can achive what you have achived! But that requires hard work and detacation (I have to work on that! ). So again THANK UOU SO MUCH CASSEY!!!!!!
I’m VERY new to the community and am kind of appalled that this even had to come out due to other people’s comments.
Casey, I think you do a great job and your cheeriness makes my grudge against having to work out less bitchy! 😀
As for ‘thigh gaps’ I don’t even have one and personally, I don’t even care about that. Two kids and 18 years later, my main concern is being fit, strong and healthy in my 40s.
I’m so proud of you for saying something Cassey!!!! I was really worried on the forum because a lot of the “motivation” I saw was very disordered and it made me so so sad. I’ve recovered from an eating disorder and I’m doing this 12-week program as a gentle way to start working out again and I lovelovelove your positivity in videos and when I check off a workout done. Please keep it up! Thank you so much.
Well said Cassey. You are inspiring and we love you!
This is the first I have heard of a desire for a “Thigh Gap”. I personally think that a thigh gap is quite like something you would see on a child. Anyone agree? I like to keep slim and toned however we have to realise that we are women and I think that we should embrace our womanly curves! Most of those models with thigh gaps are underweight and unhealthy so is certainly isn’t something I would aspire to. Eat clean and look after your body and mind. That’s all you need to do. And to those people who posted nasty comments……stop trying to make other people (like Cassey) feel bad about their bodies just because you are unhappy with yours!
Your last sentence nailed it on the head!
Cassey, your words about happiness as a state of being rather than a number on the scale could not be more true. In fact, I would say health is similarly a lifestyle, independent of your weight, your thigh gap, or other indicators. It’s about being mindful and loving your body, and feeling good about taking care of yourself. Since joining the Blogilates community, I have tried to embrace this idea of loving my body no matter regardless of how it compares to others. Thank you for your positivity, selflessness, generosity, and creativity. You are an awesome person and one of my role models. Keep it up!!!
Hey Cassey.
Im gutted for you that youve had some disgusting comments posted to you. Your amazing! True popsters Loveeee you!
Pleasee dont ever stop what your doing & dont ever listen and take in the negativity! The reason Blogilates works so well IS because its all about Positivity and support and encouragement. Dont let the few “haters” spoil that.
Love you forever xxx Jess xx
I completely agree with you. I love the fact that your videos are free because I know I would not be able to them if they weren’t. They have helped me out tremendously with getting in shape and the fact that I can do them anytime I want is awesome. I do not understand why people reacted or even said anything about you. I feel as though if they have an opinion they should keep it to themselves. You are amazing and I love your thighs just as much as I love mines. I know I could not get through most of the workouts without constantly motavating me. So I just wanted to say thank you for everything you do for the popsters & myself, I really appreciate it and i hope you continue to do it. <3
Cassey I love you so much no matter what! Your body is beautiful! And you are totally right about the happiness thing.
Everyone thinks “I’ll be happy when…..” and how long does their life go on like that? I want to do as you say and live my life with a purpose and passion so that I can be happy everyday. Even though my body isn’t in a pristine model state, I am still beautiful the way I am and definitely have had a lot of improvement since joining this community :)!
In every place there will be negativity and negative people, but how you handle it is all different. You handle it very well Cassey :)!
And I’m SO grateful for all the free workouts and advice and meal plans! But honestly some people don’t understand even when you try to explain.
Just keep up the good work Cassey you are doing nothing wrong! You are human and make mistakes.
THANK YOU CASSEY, YOU’RE ONE OF THE BEST PERSON ON THE EARTH. I LOVE YOU!!!
hey my Girl, i’m from Germany.
Normally the american happiness ( 😀 don’t get me wrong) is Little to much for me, but nothing pushes me more than you scraming in the camera ‘suck your bellybutton in’ when i’m working out.
i love you.
there are funny, stupid People in this world, but there are good ones too.
Kisses, Pia
I appreciate everything you do^^
I exercise everyday with your videos in Korea!! I bet there are many many fans around the world so always cheer up!!
Thank you, Cassey!!!
Hi Cassey,
I can see you have had many comments about POPsters telling you how much we love you!
I just wanted to say how proud I am of you standing up to negativity. I am still amazed, every time I do workouts, at how much you manage to provide us with. Plans and videos every day! You can’t ask for more than that!!! And on the brighter side, you are so funny! ^_^
Just like us, you are a human too. And some days we don’t do our workouts because life is too busy, I understand that things get in the way of what you do too. I think people just need to realise that you are trying your best. I appreciate everything you do for us.
For over 15years of dieting, and I’m only 24 now, I have struggled. Nothing ever stuck and it was from dieting to eating disorders to obsessive exercising. I finally found you and all I can say is keep doing what you are doing Cassey! For once I have my exercise life on track which has pulled the rest of my life into order too! And I owe a lot to you!
I will be your future transformation Tuesday 😀 have a great Christmas!!!!
Heya!! (I hope you can find some time to read this)
I just wanted to say thank you for your daily emails and awesome workouts! So what if we have to wait another day?
It’s not like a single day is going to jeopardize your fitness lol.
About the thigh gap….REALLY? We’re supposed to support one another not break each other down.
I never had a thigh gap until I became anorexic! I looked sick! For 4 years I tortured myself….however I am happy to say I have recovered and am now training for fitness modeling/bikini competitions….and guess what? I have no thigh gap. But I’m still sexy, I’m still beautiful, I don’t care about it anymore…my thigh gap doesn’t determine my “place in some society”.
Blogs like yours helped me to recover! Thank YOU 😀 😀
I think that people who treat you with such disrespect are not deserving of your hard work and trouble.
Have a super sunshiney happy day 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Hi, Cassey! I just want to say that I appreciate everything you do so much. Your workout plans are the only ones I’ve been able to stick with. I must admit that I have been slacking off a little, but I’m going to get it together. You are a great motivator. Please don’t let the negativity get to you. It’s just my opinion, but I think part of the change in tone may be due to more young Blogilates followers. I’m not dissing all young people (teens and early 20’s). I know a lot of you are awesome! Unfortunately, many people in this younger generation have a sense of entitlement about everything! I really don’t understand how you can complain about something that’s FREE. Lol. As for the thigh gap thing, if I hear one more stupid comment about it, I’m gonna scream. 😉 I don’t have one, don’t understand the hype about it, and could care less if I ever get one. Keep doing what you’re doing, Cassey. You’re awesome. Happy Holidays!
It’s such a shame people are being so negative lately and towards you, because even though I probably don’t know the half of it I appreciate every single thing you do so much! I saw people complaining about liking you on fb and following you on twitter and i didn’t understand what was the big deal they should like you and follow you anyway! I don’t think they appreciate that they aren’t paying a single cent to get free workouts, meal plans, and constant motivation and information every day 🙁 I appreciate it Cassey 🙂 <3
I love your workouts cassie!! I used to be super active and never thought i would have an issue with weight, and then i had knee surgery, and most workouts are much to knee intensive. Since doing your workouts I have actually seen a huge improvement in my knee as well.Blogilates is one of the few workouts I can do and I see a big difference in my balance, strength, body shape, and confidence! Thank you for all you do!
Hi Cassey!
In my opinion, people (specially women in this case) are truly obsessed with they’re body image. And it is not that strange! Let’s acknowledge some simple ideas to understand why this obsession with physic is on fire these days.
We live in a society who values appearance, success an immediate pleasure no matter what, in a extremely kind of way. This feeds people’s need to envy about other’s appearance, success and accomplishments. There’s is no tolerance to frustration, too. The advance of high tech, like the internet, turned information much more accessible to people over the world. This has a good side, but also, a bad one too. The good one is obvious, but the bad, in this specif case, is that people get cranky if they don’t get things when they wont. So, a lot of them start to insult (commonly).
In a education system based on this values, people don’t appreciate other people for what they really are (their character). What matters is looking fabulous, as if beauty was a huge power to do everything we want. And we cannot forget that media are constantly bombing us with perfect images of (unreal) women and men. We are buying and building illusions!!!
Like a society, we are all responsible for maintaining this ugly, disruptive system. So if we REALLY want to see a change in it, we have to change ourselves first. And by that we have to confront ourselves with what the heck we are doing to us and others, like, are we perpetuating this kind of though, beauty among everything?
Yes. We should take care of our body. But in my opinion, in a holistic and non obsessive way. And by that I mean thinking more on health (instead of aesthetic perfection way) from body and mind. And, as some of you know, obsessions are not healthy. So we should tackle that mental disfunction. We should pay more attention to our body and mind needs; to our relations with others in means of attitudes and personality. The way we look shouldn’t be the first thing to preoccupy us. It counts, I know, but in a minor way. Not this obsessive monster.
A majority of women are not satisfied with their body. It’s shameful! There is no two equal bodies. Humans are very different and have different body shapes. That should be a motive to be proud (our uniqueness). Well, a lot of these women think their body as to be perfect to be acceptable and appreciated by men. But, do they stop to think that beauty isn’t the major responsible from wrecking relationships? It’s mainly the way we act. Some of you might say: hey, but what about the initial attraction? There as to be beauty! Yes. There as to be some kind of beauty, a real one, which is subjective, by the way. But let me say, majority of people don’t give a damn if the thigh gaps are curvy or straight, or if the abs are flat. Real subjective beauty could stand in a brown, round shaped, gazing look, or even in a simple sweet smile.
I know there will people who will truly disagree with me. I really don’t care. I know this is some part of the true and I know some people don’t want to admit the truth to theirselves (because it is hurtful). People with low capacity to tolerate frustration just won’t accept this arguments.
Congrats for your work Cassey Ho, not only in terms of fitness but also in terms of creating some awareness for body-image obsessed women and some “peace” to the Blogilates community.
Cassey ! You are amazing !
Hahah Tbh i have sculpted thighs like yours.
Anyways I love you & Keep doing what you do 😀
Hey Cassey,
Just wanted to say you are amazing. I have been following you for almost a year now since just after the birth of my first baby. I never had a six pack before, but now I do. I started just to tone up my tummy after my baby, but what I got instead was a positive role model, totally corrected posture so I no longer slouch, strong arms and a much healthier outlook on exercise and food.
Haters gonna hate, but we will always love you 🙂
Hi Cassey.
I really, REALLY love and appreciate your workouts!
You have helped – and still are – me getting stronger and stronger through my fitness journey, and I will say: Thank you so much Cassey! You are one of the sweetest people I have ever “meet”. You inspire me to finish the whole workout, even though it is really hard hahah (:
And the most important thing you learned me was to love my body. Though, it is hard sometimes, I love my body much more than before and thank you for keep reminding me that.
I know you will get through this tough time. You’re the best and thank you so much <3
Thank you cassey for all you do!
Blogilates is something me and my family enjoy doing together and we appreciate all the hard work and entertainment you put into your videos and fitness plans!
Never stop girl!
I agree with everything you said and I appreciate that you DID say it. And guys, her thigh gap is curvy because her inner thighs are all muscle. And being strong is more important than being skinny. I love you Cassey! You changed my life 🙂 you don’t even know. For all the negativity you may receive, be sure you will get twice as much support and positivity.
Cassey, I have been wanting to express my gratitude to you for all your free videos and inspiration.
I have been exercising regularly since I was a teen. Now, I am coming on 50 years old! However, this past year I have been having quite a bit of health problems and suddenly very limited to what I can do physically. With my doctor’s permission, pilates and yoga are about the only things I am allowed to do right now. That’s where you come in, I love the variety of workouts you offer. ( I tend to get bored easily.) I feel that even though some are short in length they are highly effective. I am so grateful to have access to you and your workouts. You have saved my sanity! Thank you!
Hi from France,
I just want to tell you Cassey that you should not feel down because of the négative comments. As we say in French : ” le chien aboie, la caravane passe” which léans don’t you let anyone bring you down because on matter what there Will always be hatters, jaleous and negativ people! It is just sad that it happens in our popster community! We are supposed to help d’achat other and not bring us down because it is hard out there and we just look for comfort and guidance when we look at your vidéos and blog … I hope you won’t give up on us and i hope people Will stop the hate and spread the positive POPster message that you try to teach us!!
Loads of love from Paris!
Jacquie
what?
i’m sad to read people complain and make you feel bad about your work while i’m so grateful to you who, with just a couple of videos on youtube that i followed for months, saved me my arms’ articulations from unbearable pain.
i really hope the negativity wont make you stop do the amazing job you are doing for us.
i still need your help, Cassie ^^
i apologize for my bad english
merry christmas form italy
monica
Cassey, you never cease to amaze me.
I’ve been a part of this community for as long as i can remember–since i started exercising, really. And its helped me get stronger in more ways than one.
Let me just say that when i first joined, and first became serious about working out, i wasn’t doing it for the right reasons. I know youre right when you say that vanity is a huge part of why people work out, but i was obsessed. I just wanted to be skinny. And, yes, i wanted a thigh gap.
But as time went by, i became educated, through this wonderful blog of yours as well as the world itself. I realized what “eating clean” really is, and that i was doing far from good to my body. I fell in love with healthy eating and strengh training. Slowly but surely, i became enlightened.
I started eating right and exercising simply because i wanted to take care of myself, i wanted to love my body and treat it how it deserves. I remember a post you made a little while back about “excersize enlightenment”, and i just remember watching myself go up that ladder. It was amazing, and i really couldnt have done it without your radiating positivity, all of the hard work you put into this blog, and all of your amazing advice and inspiration you put in your videos. I really dont think people give you enough credit for all that you do for us. (:
I’m really sorry you’ve been getting so much hate lately. You don’t deserve it, nor do any of the POPsters on this community. But take it from someone who’s been stuck in that “thigh gap” phase, i truly dont believe their trying to lash out at you in particular. I’m sorry your feelings have been hurt, i hate to see you down! But maybe they just havent reached “enlightment” yet. When i was upset about my body the way that they seem to be upset about theirs, i’d “hate” people too, simply because i was jealous, and didnt know how to love myself yet. They’ll get there. Just keep doing what you do best(:
You’re amazing, Cassey. You and this blog have gotten me through so much, and i know i’m not the only one. And reading through these comments, the wonderful positivity that ive always loved about this place is still here! Don’t let the negativity get you down, youre beautiful, hardworking, compassionate, and every other amazing adjective that i can think of!
Love you <3 i hope this made you smile
Cassey!
You are a wonderful trainer and an excellent motivator. Don’t let negativity pull you down. I love your workouts. They are innovative, fun and effective. Most importantly it’s you who is doing it. You are energetic, you make workout sound so fun. The best things I like about you is that you encourage and you actually do the whole workout with us and like a normal person even you find it a little bit tough to go through certain workout you actually encourage us by doing it with us. It’s like you are there with me during the workout. I could go on. In the end, trust me you are actually doing pretty awesome with all these workout every week plus the cheap clean eats and the meal plan. Thank you.
Cassey, listen up, you are doing A GREAT job. To all the people who think she is gluttonous can TAKE A HIKE TO NOMAN’S LAND! She is working her pretty butt off just so that all of us can save up for other things in life. Just go to weight training and see, they charge for what Cassey is providing us for free.
Cassey do not be demotivated by some sadist people, they will never be happy with themselves or others around who work hard for their happiness. Let us all rise above these people so that they have a legit reason to sulk!
GREAT post, Cassey!
I cannot believe that people complain about a delay in getting a password or make comments about how other people look like. This is not why we do your workouts, this is not why we follow your posts!
I am grateful that my cousin sent me a few months ago a link to one of your videos on Youtube. Since then, i did not look back (not to anyone thigh gap, for that matter). I do your workouts and i really enjoy your bubbly personality on screen. I feel good and that’s all that matters to me.
Keep up the good work.
Hi Cassey,
I m so moved about what you said about beauty and negative criticism. Why so much hatred -or whatever it is. I get disappointed. People will never be satisfied. You are thin and they tell you should eat, you are curvy and you are not supposed to wear skinny jeans, you are obese and you get daily insults.
I gained 10 kilos in 2 months because of a cycle binge-eating and starvation due to sadness or even depression. I manage to break this cycle and start over with a healthy lifestyle again. I am strong as hell and I have been making a great progress. I need to lose 2 kilos more and I am so happy that I turned all those negative comments about how “fat” I was (while I was 63 kilos and 165cm, so overweight but not obese) into motivation to start working out again and finish this kind of eating disorder.
Now it’s not about others and kilos, it’s about being myself and being healthy. The two kilos is for me being confident in my bikini, but it’s only for self-satisfaction.The thing is you have an amazing, strong body and now my goal is to have a strong body and mostly, mind.
Personally, I don’t like thigh gap and I never noticed the gap til this became fashion. I like collarbones. Everyone likes something different and we are not here to like to everyone. Negative people spread the negativity around. I just ignore them and I reply with my extra-positive energy.
It just makes me sad that they did this to you, because I used to be not enough for others skinny or chubby. Obviously, I don’t know you personally, but you are such an inspiration for many people and you are doing so much for us in one way or another, which is unfair and I dont really get the reason for that.
I don’t want to accept that I live in a world where my gap is my ticket to beauty. I refuse to do so. Everyone is beautiful. Everyone. I’ve never seen an ugly person in my entire life. Those people need to redefine what beauty is.
Those comments were made for people that want a thigh gap, but they can judge their bodies. No one asked you, Cassey, if you want one. Plus, when I was almost underweight I didn’t have, cause my waist is not wide at all and I’m slightly pear-shaped.
Fortunately, you are a happy person and you are healthy in body and mind, so you don’t get upset about your self-image (reasonably, cause you are beautiful and your body is just awesome). BUT, some people around us are still struggling to find happiness and love themselves. So, negative people just use your brains and think the influence you may have to other people’s self-image. Say anything you want about yourselves, but not others. Today, it was Cassey’s thigh gap. Tomorrow, it will be your co-worker’s, sister’s, best friend’s body and maybe those people are not as strong or as positive as Cassey is. Think.
Sorry for any mistakes; I’m not native English speaker and I don’t want to read what I wrote again, because I won’t send it.
Kind regards to all of you and spread your positive vibes. We are the problem, but we are the solution. My love to all the “haters”, because they deserve to find happiness eventually, cause I know a happy, self-satisfied, loved, secure person, does not make this kind of unfortunate comments. Everyone is a kind person, don’t leave bad situations, feelings etc make you a person you are not.
Have a nice day,
Maria
Cassey…. you are the hardest working woman in youtube! your videos are the most awesome thing in youtube! I love how positive you are as a person and you carried it through entire videos…. i never believe working out could be this much fun until i found your videos. I just wanted to say thank youuuuuuu soooo much for your efforts… ive told a lot of people about you too.. as your videos shines the brightest among all of those fitness Channel on youtube. Please dont let negativity outshine your wonderful intention. thank you for working hard for us 🙂 be strong cass!! we love you 🙂
Cassey, I love what you are doing and I completely understand when you are upset! I hope that all the negative persons who posted comments criticizing your work or your “not perfect thigh gap” (seriously: I would freak out if someone would say that to me. If they have a different opinion on what “good looking” is: they should keep it to themselves and not project it on others!) and recognize what amazing work you are doing.
You already helped so many people to overcome body issues, to feel healthy and beautiful and I hope that’s worth the effort you put into this amazing project. Don’t stop 🙂
Thank you for endless hours of work <3
Cassey,
You are a true gem and light in the path of healthy lifestyle and love! I am appalled that someone within this community would have the gall to write such negativity re: a late meal plan delivery (really, they can’t review a previously posted menu?) or that your thigh gap is weird (your thighs are gorgeous and are that way because you’ve got some serious muscles and beautiful definition). Please continue to go on with what you do! I know the rest of us (your happy fans) really appreciate you and love you for who you are! We’re here for you! XOXO!
I am from Pakistan, and I have joined the Blogilates Community only a short while back. Cassey you are amazing, you have inspired me to exercise and eat clean. Thank you for being so generous, bright and positive. Do not let anyone get you down you are AWESOME. Sending you lots of love and good vibes from the other side of the world.
Thank you for everything Cassie 🙂
The thing is, girls these days have so much influence from tumblr, television, magazines etc which showcase women who are extremely skinny and have the massive thigh gaps. What they don’t realise is that the models are in that industry because they are extremely skinny but also because they workout. Not everyone is blessed with the genetics that models have but that doesn’t mean they can criticise someone for not looking that way. You are incredibly fit Cassey and that shows in your body and if people feel that they have the right to be negative towards you than obviously they aren’t in the right mindset for being fit. A huge thigh gap is not the defining point for being fit and that is something they should realise.
I LOVE WHAT YOU ARE DOING! You don’t know how Thankful I am for you giving us all those different things like exercise videos and now that meal plan! You are so kind! Thanks to you I can still work out, plus with a smile on my face (which oozes away at the end but when you say ‘I know you’re dying’ it shows again :D) because being a student I can’t afford a dietist or fitness abonnement! Thankyou so much and don’t let other people bring you down with their negativity!
(srry for any spelling mistakes ^^ English is not my main language!)
Also! This weekend I found a friend who is also doing Blogilates! And I was like yeah! Perhaps we can workout together! 😀
Quite honestly Cassie, I’ve never met you in person. But from your workout vids and from every post you make I can clearly feel and taste your positivity and your dedication.
You really, truly care about what you do, about who you’re helping and about the community. I never doubted this, and I don’t think I ever will.
There’ll always be people who are a bit lost and just recently landed here and don’t understand the type of community we’re aiming to create. I’m sure they don’t act out of pure evil, they’re just reflecting what the other type of fitness programs usually portrait: that they have to criticize other people’s body, that they have to compare things. Etc. It’s just a bad mindset they’ve been taught.
It’s up to us to try and help incorporate these people into a healthier and happier fitness journey.
But then, there’s only so much you and we can do. Don’t stress over stupidity and ungratefulness. Carry on being awesome and positive and hardworking. Because trust me, we do see and recognize and appreciate everything that you do <3
Chin up, darling!
I had noticed more negativity lately too. So many people complaining because the free video isn’t out when they work out or digs at other people (including you). If the video isn’t out yet, it is easy to replace it with something else. No big deal! Cassey is providing a mostly free service for us!! I honestly have become a less active member of the community (although I still do the videos) because I just don’t have time for all the negativity!!
Thing is, thigh gaps are mostly down to your skeleton…. you can’t just change your bones! If your hips are closer together, your legs are going to be too…even if your legs are super thin. Start to use your brain girls
First of all. I don’t have a thigh gap when I’m standing normally. Which is fine. For some people it’s not physialy possible to have a thigh gap. Secondly, you may not be upset about their attacks on you (ps negative comenters saying ‘no offense’ is pointless if what follows is an insult) but attacks like that is what put so much unnessecary pressure on everyone else and it’s cruel and it’s cyber bullying.
I have nothing but thanks for all that you do.
You’re not a robot, you’re human, and you’re changing people’s lives for FREE or at least for a very cheap price than people usually get charged. Why do people feel that they have a right to DEMAND things from you? I love you for being a continuous positive force in my life you really just feel like a best friend you know? <3
Iam a 41 year old mother who is introducing my 14 year old daughter to your web site because I feel you are a good role model. My daughter would like to start to exercise and I feel your short but effective workouts would be fine for her to begin with. Don’t let the complainers get you down. I’ve been following you for about 3 years and you have always been wonderful. Thank you.
Forget about it and go on Cassey.
Without you I wouldn’t have been able to function properly while I was housebound with chronic migraines. With your help I’m now back at work, stronger healthier and I’m still doing pop Pilates. I will be forever grateful for you and your workouts that made me feel connected the real world when I was surrounded by appointments medicine and feeling yucky. It’s not about thigh gaps and weight (although I have lost 1.5srone and inches off my thighs) it’s about being there. Thank you cassy x
I would honestly would love to have your body, I don’t care about the thigh gap. Heck, I didn’t even know you could get one till this year. Why is society pushing us to become like stick thin models? Why is that considered beautiful?
I CANNOT believe that thigh gaps are even still a thing. That’s all I will say about that.
Yes, I do think that the change in attitude is due to the size of the community, and also due to your Instagram presence; I’ve noticed increasingly people have no filter on there, but when called out they back off.
Do you think it’s maybe time to get a moderator or admin for your pages? Everything you do is amazing, but it would help keep the community happy without using too much of your time.
Hi Cassey!
You are and have always been my inspiration. You have no idea how great you make me feel after every workout. Even seeing you smile is enough to bring a smile on my face haha.
I’m so grateful of everything you’ve done for us strangers out here and here is a big fat hug from across the globe (my sunny island Singapore)
<3 you loads Cassey!
(ignore the haters, they have nothing better to do! Do what you're always doing Cassey, you rock!)
Hey Cassey,
You haven’t seen me post before but this blog post was touching for me. Let me start by saying that you have helped me so much personally, thanks to what you tought me about healthy living and being active I get to deal with grief and depression in a way a lot of people don’t believe is possible. I’m happy! Exercise helps me focus and I feel so strong. I can look people in the eye and be proud of who I am because I know what I can do! And for that I am so thankful. But that is just what you have done for me.
There are so many people out there that you have helped in unbelievable ways, and you do this for us, for free, as a gift (of soreness!!) for everyone that wants to join in. And of course a lot of us begin this journey as a vanity project. It is just such a shame that there are people who don’t see the bigger picture, so I hope those people will start thinking more about what it means to be alive. Maybe they’ll get there through worrying about their thigh gaps, who knows.
In the meanwhile I want to thank you for what you do for this community and all of society, really. If I am so happy because of this there must be thousands that are. Enlightenment 🙂 Happy New Year, Cassey you’re a hero x
Dear Cassey,
I wanted to thank you for being there all that time, and creating these wonderful workouts and amazing recipes (banana/peanut butter ice cream, yummy!!). Please, don’t stop! It is so supportive to have somebody who believes in you, and doing your workouts daily makes me feel beautiful. I may not be as thin a I would like to be, but since I discovered your blog two years ago I do not care that much anymore. You make me confident, and happy, and help me to focus on what is really important: being healthy, having fun, do what I like.
Thank you again, and sorry if any mistake slipped! I am not a native speaker, but I’m working on it 🙂
Hey Cas.
Your thigh gap, OH MY GAWSHHHH stunning, I have wavy legs 2 lol.
You are perfect and have a life to live outside the cyber world to, It is only understandable for you be a bit late on ‘Promises’ but you always apologize when it is uploaded.
You are incapable of disappointing me, I love your work and would be lost with out your guidance
You are simply the BEST!!!!
Oooooh do a workout video on that song from Tina Turner.
So we can get ripped like Tina!!! 😀
Cassey, you are a wonderful person, and I know you work really hard to make us POPsters happy and satisfied. I’m deeply grateful for that and I respect all you do. You’re so generous !
Thanks to you and your awesome workouts, I’ve become a lot stronger. It’s extremely satisfying to see all the progress I made, and really exciting to think about all the progress I will make. Even when I’m tired or in a bad mood, I always do your workouts, because it makes me feel a lot better.
Now, for this “thigh gap” story, I was astonished that some people have the nerve to criticize your body and the way you work. I know haters are a common thing on the Internet, especially when someone becomes famous, but it doesn’t mean it has to be allowed, and I think you are right to react like this.
Sometimes it’s important to be firm and to tell your opinions. I, of course, totally support you in this.
All this “thigh gap” goal on the Internet really makes me feel uncomfortable. It shows all the “vanity” (as you said) of this society which wants to decide what’s right or wrong, what’s beautiful or ugly, and what’s normal or abnormal. I’m so tired of this.
People forgot or don’t know that a “thigh gap” isn’t mostly obtained because of the weight. It’s above all a question of morphology : you have more “chances” to have a gap between your thighs if your bones are thin and your hips are large. That’s all ! If you have issues with your skeleton, it really is a problem.
To have a “thigh gap” or not doesn’t determine the beauty of a person, thanks goodness !
Fortunately, there is on this Earth people like Cassey.
Thank you Cassey for all the great work you do, and all the positive messages you always give us ! I have a lot of respect for you. Keep going and be proud of who you are and what you do !
Love from France. <3
Casey, you are doing something fabulous for women around the globe, in encouraging them in health and fitness. Forget about the meanies and let the haters move to the left. I really love your videos and your tips have proved to be real helpful. Thanks for being you. Cheers.
You tell ’em girl!
Hey Cassey,
You hit the nail on the head for all points, this just reiterates to me why I started following you and doing workouts with you everyday. My whole family knows who you are, and I feel like we hang out and you motivate me everyday!!
I wouldn’t DREAM of complaining, as soon as you posted about the #newbodyworkout, I wanted to get the diary as a way to partially pay you back for all you have done…. and in no way are we square…. Though I know you do this because you love it and your a giving person, ‘girl’s gotta eat’ and you deserve everything that comes back to you 🙂
Your right it is easy to focus on how we are ‘meant to look’ sometimes and listen to what others say… I know myself I wanted to get fit and strong again because I love exercising and it makes me feel good physically and mentally. You represent that! I will keep following you and going on this journey!!! 🙂
Thank you times a million
xo
I do not have a thigh gap, not really when I stand right up and maintain a correct body alignment. I’m at a 15.8% body fat, so I guess that is not the problem and I do not have to lose any more weight. You know why? Because I’D LIFT LESS WEIGHT AND GAINING MUSCLE MASS IS HARD ENOUGH FOR ME TO LOSE IT OVER SOME STUPID TREND SPREAD BY GIRLS WHO DEFINE THEMSELVES BY HOW STICK THIN THEIR LEGS ARE. I am strong and I am beautiful and I want Sandra Bullock’s legs in Gravity… More girls need to change their conception of beauty, this is just insane right now.
PS. Also, I don’t like your first point, Cassey. By focusing on the form of it or the “not being good enough” issue, you’re suggesting that the form is what doesn’t matter. To me, girls with narrow hips having a thigh gap are definitely muscle-less, so, it’s having a thigh gap or not what’s pointless.
This is the first time I ever write in this website, but this text really brought some things up.
Cassey is a professional fitness instructor, it’s her job and nevertheless she has this amazing website and this huge blogilates community, created by her and by her passion in bringging people new and healthier ways to live…
She does thos FOR FREE!!! The calendar, the videos, the tips, the cheerful spirit that her videos are full with..She cares about our well being about turning people healthier and for that, happier..
Even with a tight schedule she continues doing this, as a mission, not as an obligation that some people think it is: she DOESN´T HAVE TO, she WANTS TO. So stop complaining about the “not keeping up promises” and the delays..Her job is not keeping up with the schedule and if you think so, then you’re way out of the trail of embracing this new lifestyle challenge…
Casey,
Haters gon’ hate.
You’re the best.
Thank you.
Cassey you’re a great person and a wonderful Pilates instructor I’m so grateful you put your videos online for free and actually care about the people watching those videos as we care about you. I don’t understand why people are being rude towards you. I hate seeing rude comments on the internet especially from a community that is suppose to be supportive!
Hi Casey!!
You have us, the popster!! We will supporting each other! You have motivated me so much!!
Cassey you are so honest, wise and strong and have a really hot thigh gap- that’s why I follow your blog and those mean comments on the meal plan well, seriously if your pissed that it came out late well you should do some pilates while you wait and eat a banana or something! You rock Cassey!
I’m a typical lurker, but reading this blog post made me want to comment. Cassey, I think you make an excellent point. Thank you for being a SANE human being, teaching girls and women (and maybe even some man..) to get fit and love both your life and body. Thanks for trying to make them understand that having a thigh gap, abs and what more have you, will not instantly make you the happiest human being on the planet. Keep doing what you’re doing and stay amazing. Love, Suzanne (Netherlands)
Thank you Cassey for a really great post again, I think it’s very important that you put emphasis on the “looks isn’t everything” from time to time like you do. I want to share a story from my own life on the topic, the time I realized how much my idea of beauty came from what I’ve been conditioned to believe through adverts.
A couple of years ago I studied art in a school situated far from citylife. We did a lot of croquis, life drawing real naked models. In the sketching I became so focused on the lines I was drawing that they didn’t have a history anymore, sometimes I could muse in the beauty of certain lines in the body that I would never have thought beautiful by regular standards, like the long breasts that came from feeding a baby or two. During this time the only naked bodies I saw was ordinary human ones, the models’ and my friends’ at the school. Studying the body as intensively as I did during that time my mind started to understand how a body really looks like, how it’s built to have a function.
One time I went into the city and was met by a large advert, probably of underwear. My first insinctive reaction to the three photoshopped models was “OMG Aliens!” Really observing real bodies made me see that the images I saw were physically impossible.
We are constantly being exposed to ideals that no one really looks like, no wonder it creates confusion. Here’s a link where it’s obvious in a couple of seconds http://www.upworthy.com/see-why-we-have-an-absolutely-ridiculous-standard-of-beauty-in-just-37-seconds allthough if one wants to conquer a more real view of beauty I would really recomend croquis sketching 🙂
And as you say no matter what we are chasing after to look for happiness it’s never found outside of ourselves, glad you put words to that too, because it’s probably the most important thing to know in life. Thank you!
Josefine, Your response is AWESOME! I wish every young girl could read it and see. As an ICU nurse who has “seen it all”, I agree that what we see in the media is false when it comes to women’s bodies. I love seeing Cassey’s selfies at the gym, hair all messed up, because it makes her a real person to me. My body will never look like hers, and I will NEVER have a thigh gap, but it’s all good because I feel good. Agaun, great response!
hey Cassey,
I truly appreciate your hard work and your generosity i’m new, yet to finish a month. its unfortunate that some people can be so unappreciative and negative but i think its generally a reflection of themselves. they are unhappy inside and they want other people to be as unhappy as they are. pay them no mind.
as for the thigh gap we are all created different, some have oval faces, others round faces, some tall, some short so. . . . people should just be more accepting of themselves and work with what they’ve got. anyhoo that’s my two cents.
once again Cassey thank you so much for your help.
Cassey, you are simply amazing for making these videos and workouts and nutrition plans for your community, you deserve a ton of gratitude and appreciation and nothing less! Don’t let a bunch of sour people who are never happpy spoil your day, you are wonderful for doing so much for us!!! Thank you!!
I can’t understand why anyone would be so mean, especially when none of it is true. Cassey – you are a kind, hard working, bubbly, wonderful person and anyone who doesn’t appreciate that must be a pretty miserable and negative person. And your legs are great! Stay positive and don’t let it get to you. There are so many people out the that you help and who love you 🙂 katyx
Hey Cassey.
Ugh. Girls hatin’ on girls. It does nothing good. Ever.
Cassey, the best thing about you, your business and your brand as a whole is that its totally real.
No photoshop to make your followers feel inadequate, no airbrushing to have us believe you always look perfect. Thats the reason why I am a blogilates fan. If people want unrealistic role models with unattainable and unmaintainable levels of (so called) perfection, they should most definitely go elsewhere.
Keep being real, and providing millions of girls out there with a healthy, beautiful, natural- but most importantly- KIND role model.
Hi Cassey!!
I just want to thank you for making the workout videos. I live it so much I tell my sisters and friends etc.
If there’s people that are so quick to judge and jump to a negative conclusion and complains about the meal plan… Then they’re definitely not worth your time. Ignore them. They have nothing better to do.
Love you! Keep smiling and keep up the awesome work!
Muah!
Cassey you’re amazing and wonderful and I love you.
Cassey, you are by far the bestest fitness trainer EVER. This is the longest that I’ve ever stuck to my goal of being healthy and your inspiring words, fun personality and the Blogilates community have very significant roles in that. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I actually look forward to working out everyday because your workouts are fun and completely not boring to do.
You are awesome. This community is awesome<3 HUGS AND KISSES FOR EVERYONE!
I thought “thigh gaps” just meant your legs weren’t straight and you were “bow legged.”
I can now just think “No, I’m not bow legged. I have a thigh gap.”
You say potatoes I say tomatoes…..
I am a full time mother, aka cook, personal shopper, cleaner, driver, living in Holland away from my home Tokyo. I couldn’t live without Cassey’s videos!!! Thanks so much for keeping me motivated and relatively fit!!! <3
Hi Yukiko. You also live in Holland. Good to know that there are other women here following Cassey and Blogilates. It would be nice to know who else is here, if we have a big group we could organize with a Cassey a blogilates in The Netherlands.
Cassey, thanks for addressing this topic and making clear the rules of the house. It helps to keep the fresh and open attitude you have tried to imprint.
I’m a Dutchie too 🙂 let’s get Blogilates to the Netherlands!
Cassey, you’re doing such a great job.
I also run a company, and there’s always negativity from some people. It’s never good enough. But listen, it’s their ego what’s in their way. Not you.
Do NOT let negativity get to you. I know the feeling of negativity encouraging me to stop… but you have to realize it is making you stronger.
It just hurts a little bit. And that’s ok. It means you’re a human being with feelings.
Keep on going, and I (we!) hope to see you in The Netherlands soon!!!
ps:
your workouts helped me during my dance class workouts . Even i did not know i had developed a core that strong. :D.
I love you so much. i’m kind of mad at people for saying the stuff they did.
