Week 8 Meal Plan Update | Day 49 of 90

Hey guys!

So sorry this post did not go up on Sunday. I guess I get to blame it on “choosing rest” so that’s ok right!?

Before I start this meal plan update, I want to embed this post I wrote on IG right here. I am the heaviest I’ve been in a long time, and something unexpected happened. Please read:

Alright, I am about a week out from my two-thirds DEXA Scan Check-in! I have been steadily gaining weight this whole time. Hoping it’s muscle weight! I am GUESSING it is since I’ve been able to lift heavier, but I guess we shall see next week! Oh also…the bikini is being made right now!!! AHHHH!!!! Thanks to you guys, I opted for more of the pinker/redder hues. I CANNOT wait to put it on! in about a month! I need to go buy some clear heels…

Anyway, here’s my meal plan update.

OH!

BIG NEWS.

The rice cakes are gone.

No, I didn’t get tired of them (still love em)…rather, I noticed that eating them didn’t really fill me up because they were so light and carby. Swapped em out for whole veggies with more fiber! Also increased the fats a bit.

Meal pic time!

Don’t really have time to cook as much these days, so these chicken skewers from Costco are life savers! Also, they are so flavorful and fun to eat. I mean, who doesn’t like food on a stick!? Also the sweet potato avo toasts keep me fuller longer compared to the rice cakes. This was a good swap.

Supersculpt pancakes. Necessary. This is coming with me all the way to the end. OH and I am DOUBLING my PB serving this week. VERY VERY happy about that!

If you have not tried the Mexican cauli rice from TJ’s you are missing out. You need this NOW. It is literally one of my top fave things from TJ’s.

Oh and if you haven’t tried the hearts of palm pasta from TJ’s you are also missing out. They don’t always have it, but when they do, I buy like 16. No, really.

K that is my update for this week! Hope you are all doing well!

Cassey, I admire you so much for doing this! Not the journey per say, but for listening to your body regardless of what other people say. I know my words don’t change anything, but I just want you to know, that along with the haters, there are more supporters backing you up!
    You Got This Girl!

    Hi Cassey!
I’m a big fan of your workout videos and have been slowly working through most of them over a few months and am enjoying every minute. That being said, I’d love to follow your weekly schedule for your most recent 90 day journey, but it isn’t possible for me to workout every day. (I’m a nurse and those shifts are long!) Do you have any suggestions how I can follow your 90 day journey workout plans with only 3 days off per week? Thanks so much!!

Heyy! Love the supersculpt pancakes but I did have to switch the peanut butter out for almond butter!
I was also wondering when or will you bring back the mermaid collection?

So proud of you and loving the sharing of your 90 day journey. So just some sharing: I could not figure out why I couldn’t gain muscle and one day I decided to do a food elimination cleanse and found out gluten was enemy number 1 and lactose number 2 and soy number 3. I stopped eating those things,, permanently and within months of doing one weight lifting day for glutes and legs, 3 days of HIIT pilates and 3 vinyasa yoga session each week for a workout every day, but not long, like 30-40 mins with ample stretching, I gained 30 lbs of muscle. Let me tell you, once you gain the muscle, its easy to maintain if you eat right bc your “muscle memory” is there. The nucleic acids used to build your muscles will be there even if you have to take a year off. You just might lose muscle mind connection. So now everything fits looser lost inches off my thighs, my waist, and build muscle on my hips and bum. Just depends on how you work it. So for anyone reading this, YESS the number goes up, but your gainz are more than just muscle and strength, you feel healthier, and like you can take on the world.

I am now off to make my protein pancakes 😉 Grats Cassey, nailing it!!!

I am only Day 9 of my official 90 Day Journey. It’s more mental than physical, and I’m honestly not focusing on food.

Although, I have noticed eating certain indulgences brings some negativity in how I react in a situation. So, I know to avoid certain things.

  12. Lea says:

You look pretty either way. However, I think you should use similar pictures for the before and after (similar or same clothing, same camera angle, same pose, maybe same room too), otherwise is not a very realistic comparison. But there are definitely differences, you are getting bulky.

    1. Cassey says:

The final before/after will be more “official” for sure 😉

  13. Samantha says:

I’m on Day 37 of my 90 Day Journey and using your journal. Right now, I’m focusing on reducing body fat…I’m still really high but I would love to do a muscle building journey some day as well.
I really like what you said here: “My body changes as my goals change. I’m always evolving and I don’t plan to ever live a stagnant life.” Sadly, changing and growing as a person seems to garner more criticism. I hope you don’t care about what anyone thinks of you anymore!

I’m so glad you mentioned TJ’s mexican cauli rice, I’ve seen it and considered it but the word SPICY had me 2nd guessing. Is it super spicy? Or just the jalapenos?

  15. Coralie says:

Hi ! Great, need to try avo on sweat potatoes 🙂 I’m on my day 3 to my 90 days journey, and so far loving fill my journal 🙂
