Hey guys!!

So I TOTALLY just invented a new POP Pilates move! I call it “The Pushing Grasshopper.” What do you think it targets?

It’s a combo of a half cobra pushup and the grasshopper! So…chest, triceps, back, and booty! It’s a QUADRUPLE threat. You’re very very welcome 🙂

This is an intense song challenge. It lasts only 3 min and 18 sec, so I added a timer for you to keep you going. Can you let me know if you like it or not? Does it distract you? Or does it keep you going?

Wow! So many pretty colors! Guess what guys? If you’ve been following my Snapchat…you now know…that we are building out Blogilates Headquarters!!!! OMG I can’t believe that this day is actually happening! I dreamt about running my own company when I was a little girl…and now…it’s becoming a reality? Wow. Work hard, live passionately, and be humble guys. Amazing things will happen.

Oh yeah…and what’s Blogilates HQ without pink paint? MUAHAHAHAHA. I feel sorry for any boys that will work there. Just kidding. No I am not sorry. They will embrace it 😛

By the way, if any of you are in the LA area and are graphic designers or patternmakers/samplemakers, I would love to hear from you. We’re hiring 🙂 Please send your cover letter and resume to

This past weekend was Mother’s Day. Did you have a chance to spend some time with your mom? I hope you did! I unfortunately could not as I was working on the office playing interior designer and contractor project manager. I am really really enjoying this whole furniture shopping thing though. I love seeing how everything comes together aesthetically. It’s soooo fun!

mothers dayNow, a note on my mom. My mom is a woman who exemplifies STRENGTH. In 1975, she fled the terror of the Vietnam War with her little brother to find freedom and an uncertain, better future. With no money, no food, and no water for 7 days straight on a tiny boat that got raided by pirates – the only thing keeping her alive was hope. Sometimes you have to do things that don’t make sense or in this case, things that risk your life. You can’t predict the future but you can set yourself up for success. Everyday I’m awed by my mom. She’s extremely selfless, hard working, and keeps pouring love even when she’s exhausted. Happy Mother’s Day to my mommy who risked everything to give me and my sister a chance to succeed. I love you so much.  budsiesOH MAN! Did you see this yet!? My baby sis Jackelyn surprised me with a plush toy of myself from Hot Body Year Round!! Hahahaha! They even got the booty shorts and sports bra right! If you look real close, they even gave me little boobs. Hahahaha. Love my sis so much. Thank you Jackelyn for getting me this toy Cassey. You are the best! This is literally the most unique gift I have ever gotten! The toy is made by this company called “Budsies” and they take kids’ drawings and turn them into real life toys. What a creative business! I love it! Also! I will be in the DC area (my 1st time!) this coming weekend for a POP Pilates training and to do a meetup! You must come! It is at the 24 Hr Fitness in Annapolis, MD on Sunday May 17th! Come early…bring your own mat. If you’re under 18, bring a guardian to sign you off. If you’re over 18, you need an ID to get in! I will do a meet and greet after class too. I can’t wait to see you! And if you’re interested in getting POP Pilates certified, please sign up here. Being a group fitness instructor is the best choice I’ve ever made. It gave me everything I have today. Plus. it gave me you guys 🙂 AHH! And more news! I will be in LONDON for Beautycon in a couple weeks! I haven’t been back in 3 years!! I literally cannot wait to see you guys again!!!blogliates_instaAlso…I want to do a POP Pilates class with you all but I have no idea where. Anyone have any suggestions or connections to a venue? I know some of you said Hyde Park but I don’t know where I can get speakers, a stage, and a microphone so you can all hear the music! Let me know – I would really appreciate it 🙂 Okie dokie – that’s a lot of announcements. Hope you’re having an AMAZING start to #noMaybes May. If you haven’t started, it’s ok – grab the Beginner’s Calendar here or print the May Calendar here. It’s never too late to start. Just

being back from my trip through north-greek. Was a wonderful journey and exhausting as well. 🙂
when I left I was happily thinking about coming back and doing the may calender. well… turns out working out won’t be something I can do now because I got a lymphangitis 🙁 some stupid insect or spider bit me and my hand was swollen like a balloon. I was so scared and glad that the hotel manager himself brought me to the hospital. it’s a lot better now but still a bit swollen and it hurts. alas, the red lines on my arm vanished.
as one of my fellow-students said in the end “our main enemies on this journey were heat, thrist, hunger and for some flying insects and monsters in the sea!” because noone really got away without any injuries. Yet we were such a nice group and took care of each other, we were able to laugh about it and though my arm is still healing, I can laugh about the things I paniced and cried few days ago 🙂

Could you also make a video for chest workouts too?!

  10. Bonnie says:

Weee – cannot believe you’re coming to London. SO EXCITED. There are loads of big convention centres in central London – the Methodist Hall and the Queen Elizabeth II centres are both in Westminster (right across the road from Big Ben). Hyde Park also accommodates stages and speakers (there’s often concerts there in the summer). Or you can go to the amazing Southbank centre on the river – they have all kinds of spaces as they are a multi-use art venue 🙂

    Hugs, tea and scones xx

  11. I put this exercise into one of my workouts (I’m a PT) and my client didn’t like me at that time 😀 On the following day she wrote “I love you” 😀
    Thanks for inspiring me.
(I also have your book, I LOVE it!)

  12. Jenna says:

Yay, I had been waiting for a back training…

Cassie, your mother seems to be an incredibly strong woman, kudos to her! Remember to hug her whenever you can. 🙂

I’m in love with her exercises, and since i started practicing one month ago i can see my body getting slimmer, fitter, and all the fat disappearing !
All i love in Life is gathered in the world of Blogilates, fitness, good and healthy food, positive attitude and a super girly world of fashion… Wow, thanks Cassey, this could definitely be my religion!! i now know why i want to get up in the morning and i’m very happy to have found you and your universe.

  16. Christina costello says:

  17. Eszter says:

I`m so happy for you Cassey! You work hard and you get amazing results – just like you always tell us.
About the timer – I absolutely love it. It makes me feel like I´m in control (totally false feeling haha), or at least I know how much I have left. This makes me go harder until the end! But again, I´m the type of person who knows how many reps come in each of your videos after you say “almost there”.

  18. Cayanne says:

    really loved the timer!

  19. Amanda says:

I am thrilled that you are coming to Annapolis. I can’t make the full training session but would love to do the meet up. When is the meet up? I hope to meet you this weekend. I discovered you last August and have seen amazing results! You are awesome!

  20. Anh says:

    Hello Cassey!

You may wish to check out the following link:

The associated charges appear to be reasonable to hire the sports hall, it can accommodate a large number of individuals, and is still located in central London. There are also other spaces at the venue for hire i.e. the auditorium, etc. I have no personal experience of the venue, but it looks and sounds ok.

    All the best. 🙂

    1. Tagvenue says:

Hi Cassey! If you’re looking for some nice venue for hire, especially in London, we can recommend this website: – there’s a lot of nice venues that you can hire online!

Very nice blog! Keep it up and cheers!

  21. Clare says:

I love the timer, sometimes I think I won’t make it & then I see I only have a few seconds left and keep going! I also love it when you tell us what moves we are doing in the whole workout in advance and I can prepare myself for the ones I’m not so good at yet!

Thank you so much for your positivity…it’s helped me in so many areas of my life 🙂

    Love Clare x

  22. Sumiko Hong says:

I can’t believe that you’re coming to LONDON!!!! I would really really really love to meet you in person and do pilates together with you!!!! OMG! That will really make my dream come true!
But as I am living 2 hours from London, I have to actually buy ticket in advance to be able to meet you. Can you please let us know, hopefully by the end of this week of when exactly will the meet-up be?

I can’t wait to meet you in person, Cassey!
Oh, and congratsss on the new office of Blogilates!! I’m so glad to see how things have been going well for you :))

    Take care, Cassey!

  23. Emily says:

I really like the timer; it motivates me to get keep doing. 🙂

  24. Ania says:

    1. Kristina B. says:

Thank you 🙂 so much for all your inspirational videos!
I have been watching blogilates for almost a year now.
But just within the last few months have I been really serious about making changes.
Within three months, I have lost ten pounds by trying to eat clean and I do about 3 blogilates videos/4days a week. And I also have recruited about 3-4 friends and we do your videos together, every week. Thank you 🙂 so much for all the hard core videos, with a great mix of cardio and strength training.

I wanted to ask if you could do some cool-down videos. After I work out, I try to do stretches and cool down since I’m sore (a good sore:) from doing your videos. It would be wonderful to see how you cool down and stretch after working out hard!

Also, I wanted to tell you the timer and the little clocks (like the one min. Timer) you’ve been adding to your videos are super helpful!! It definitely helps motivate me. But I wanted to suggest that the timer count down instead of up. That way we can tell ourselves okay only 30sec. More or okay only 10 seconds left, to help us push through it more.

Another thing, is I love how you work out the same muscle at a time, and you really try to help us feel the burn in a specific area. Could you try to incorporate maybe on the side with an Icon or maybe just mention what our goal is for how many reps were doing? I feel like when I’m following you and doing one of your hard core moves, it feels great doing the reps but after a while I really want to stop because it hurts haha, but I do try to keep pushing myself since you’re still going (which you’re a great help!) but if I knew what our goal was in terms of how many reps I feel like I could push myself more, since I’ll be mentally prepared!

Well, thank you 🙂 for even considering my suggestions.
You’re videos have really helped me to find a fun and hard core work out that I love.
I love feeling the burn now! Haha. Thank you 🙂

  25. Mary says:

Love the timer! Made this workout a lot more manageable for me because I could see how long I had to endure for. Awsome!

  26. Brenda says:

Hi Cassey, I love the timer you used in the video. It kept me going. When I get tired, and I see that I only have say 40 seconds left, I push on. Hope it’s an inspiration for all the other POPsters too.

  27. Anjali Rajiv says:

    Hey Cassey!

I loved that Pulling Grasshopper move! Combo moves are so fun. That timer really motivated me and I would love to see it in your next song challenges 😀
Could you please consider making a POP Pilate’s stretching video for your thighs and back? I would love to see that.

Thanks for being such an inspiration,

    Anjali x

P.S I am patiently waiting for the Hot Body World Tour (Come to NZ!!)

  30. Monet says:

Congrats on everything, Cassey! I’ve been working out with you for a long time and it’s so inspiring to see how far you’ve come over the years. You deserve it! xxo

  31. Athena says:

The new move was so much fun! I did way better than I thought I’d do so I was super proud! ;D
Will you be doing a Pop Pilates class as well as a meet & greet even for folks not going for the certification in MD Cassey?! That would be sooooo fun!! =D

  32. Becs ö says:

    Hi cassey!

Yay! Can’t wait to see you in London-in terms of venues, there are a lot of fantastic dance and yoga studios that might work…
Arthur murray dance studio on Baker Street (central London) can fit a fair number of people and is very central

Indaba yoga also in Baker Street/marylebone is a super nice modern yoga studio with a good sized room:

There are loads of great gyms as well-all over london, check out fitness first, LA fitness, and Virgin active-lots of locations all over london.

    Hope that helps!

  33. Cassie, I love this pushing grasshopper move!! I’ve been looking for creative ways to strengthen my lower back (because being functionally fit makes you look good too :P). HUGE congrats on the HQ – I will definitely be visiting when I am in town!!!

  39. Alysia says:

    Hi Cassey!

I would love to know more about HQ! Is this just where you’ll be recording and developing or will you have Pilates classes, like a studio? Or…..both? 😉
Love blogilates though. I’m currently a Crossfit coach in LA, I do blogilates almost every single day along with other training that I do. Hopefully I can get my group cert done before pop Pilates cert in August, I would love to teach pop Pilates. 🙂

Also love love love my new water bottle! I stay super busy every day with modeling jobs, coaching and school so it’s important for me to get my water intake, I know how important it is. Thanks for everything!!

  40. Ann says:

So much cool stuff going on with you. Congratulations on everything.

  41. Christina says:

    Hi Cassey,
I’m new to PopPilates but I just wanted to say that you’ve really motivated me to “get off the couch” (figuratively and literally). I’ve been through many work out regiments but none have really stuck with me, so just wanted to say thanks .

Anyway, in regards to the timer, I think it’ll help some to keep moving if they know they only have 1 minute left for example. I like either way. I haven’t tried the new workout yet but it looks intense!
Congrats on the first headquarters for blogilates! That’s awesome. It is very very pink lol. Pink for Pilates. I wish you hiring for other positions!

May I suggest Fort Lauderdale/Miami to do a class?? Yes-maybe? Lol

Have a great rest of the night! Congrats again!
