SUPERFOODS BEAUTY BOWL

1 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup frozen raspberries
½ cup almond milk
1 teaspoon stevia

1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1 tablespoon Goji Berries
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 mango chunk, diced
4 raspberries
DIRECTIONS
1. Blend frozen Pitaya, mango, raspberries, almond milk and stevia together. 2. Top with goji, flax and chia and decorate with mango and raspberries. WHY IT WORKS Dragon Fruit: The Pitaya is more commonly referred to as the dragon fruit. It’s a natural source of anti-oxidants which help to prevent the dangers of free radicals which can cause cancer and other undesirable health detriments. High in Vitamin C and fiber. Mango: Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes Raspberries: Berries are very rich in antioxidants, and getting more antioxidants from natural sources is a great way to help boost your metabolism. The antioxidants contained in berries promote better blood flow, which helps your body build stronger muscles. The more muscle your body has, the more calories it will burn. Flax seeds: Omega 3’s to combat inflammation. Chia Seeds: It contains calcium, manganese, and phosphorus, and is a great source of healthy omega-3 fats. Has anyone tried making these bowls in advance? Do they freeze well? I have a crazy schedule, and would love to be able to just pop them out of the freezer and add the toppings later.

Hi Cassey,
I just read your blog post on your Superfood Beauty Bowl – made with pitaya smoothie packs, and loved it! I help handle the PR for Pitaya Plus and wanted to reach out and gauge your familiarity with the brand. Seeing as you used their smoothie packs for your Beauty Bowl, we were hoping that you would consider linking directly to their website (www.pitayaplus.com).
Considering your blog post, I’m going to wager that you are already a fan of pitaya! Pitaya Plus is the first and only company to export pitaya to the United States – their products are made of 100% raw frozen pitaya fruit, with no added sugars. As you are aware, pitaya is rich in antioxidants, powerful Vitamins B and C, and active enzymes which work to neutralize free radicals, aid in digestion and boost energy and immunity – all of which you touched on in your blog post!
Pitaya Plus has just released brand new 100% raw cubes, ideal for a one ingredient snack to cool down on a hot summer day and just as convenient to include in smoothies, salads, clean cocktails and even baked goods.
We would love to send you a care package from Pitaya Plus and stock your freezer! I previously sent you an email filled with fun recipes and images to further inspire you – please let us know if you are interested!
Really looking forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Kira
