My Metabolic Supercharge Smoothie w/ 1 CRAZY Ingredient + Something You Have Been Waiting For!

Hello POPsters!

So I’ve been playing around with a lot of recipes lately as I am preparing a very special meal plan for you. The last time we did this was with the 90 Day Challenge and I think it’s time for an update. What do you think? Time to ramp it up, find new health, a stronger body, and extreme motivation! Diet and fitness are so intertwined. Remember, your physique is 80% how you feed yourself, 10% how you train, and 10% genetics. Yup, I was surprised too when I heard that! Of course great exercise promotes better eating and vice versa so you really need to do both. But no one is DOOMED. You can create your own destiny.

Anyway! I wanted to release a very very cool (or should I say hot) smoothie recipe that will be on the meal plan that I will have you drinking in the morning to boost your metabolism. This is my Metabolic Supercharge Smoothie that contains 1 pretty crazy ingredient. Are you ready for it?

What it does: increases your metabolism (helping you to burn more fat), gives you energy, and puts you in a good mood.

metabolic smoothie pic

INGREDIENTS:

– 1 banana

– 1-1.5 cup kale

– 1/2 cup nonfat greek yogurt (vegans can sub tofu or soy yogurt)

– handful of ice

– 1/2 cup almond milk

– juice of 1 small lemon

– 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper <—- yup there it is! (If it’s your first time having pepper in a drink, I’d start with a pinch and add more as you get more advanced)

The spiciness in this drink from the pepper helps to raise your metabolism, and all the Vitamin C from the lemon and kale helps in the production of Carnitine which helps your body metabolize fat. Also, the banana provides a source of tryptophan which aids in relaxing your mind and lifting your mood. The protein in the yogurt keeps you full and ALSO, because your body takes 2x more energy to digest protein than carbs, eating more protein makes you burn more calories.

This is great as a morning breakfast! Or whenever you need something to SUPERCHARGE YOU!

Nutrition Facts: 232 cals and 16g of protein

Share this and keep it close to you! This smoothie is seriously a miracle!

Yay!!! We have water bottles! It’s so important to stay hydrated. A lot of us don’t drink enough water, so now, you have no excuse. Drink to your heart’s desire! Too cute not to right?

I was so excited that I stayed up late last night to do a lil photoshoot with these babies. I had so much fun naming their colors. Because each kinda looks like a translucent crystal, I named the colors of the bottles after gemstones. You can see all the colors here.

These are actually blender bottles with little spiral balls to help you mix your protein powder smoothly. Aren’t they darling? I felt like this lil guy needed his own portrait 🙂 I want to thank you guys for always suggesting new product ideas. (I never thought I’d get into bottles!) It’s not always the easiest trying to figure out how to design and manufacture new things. But it’s not an impossible challenge. So again, thank you for your continuous flow of ideas! Anything else you want me to do for you, just let me know in the comments! Ready to design and tackle!

Do you remember this Blogilates yoga mat that I handpainted before my first NYC meetup? Look at all your gorgeous signatures. You guys are amazing.

After this, I got so many requests to actually make this mat for you guys…well you know Cassey. I take your comments very very seriously. So umm, after months and months or testing and development to make it as close as possible to the original, here it is guys!!! The Limited Edition Blogilates Yoga Mat.

What do you think? I really hope you like it! I made all the mats super cushiony at 3mm thickness. And…just cuz I know it’s hard to travel everywhere with your mat hanging all weird and loose, I am including a lightweight yoga mat bag ($10 value).

Also, since so may of you have been doing POP Pilates or a while, I wanted to take your workout to the next level with a new toy. I use the Power Ring when I teach my classes and I’ve been wanting to show you guys my special routines for so long, but was afraid to because I know like 90% of you do not own a ring. So for the first time ever, I am releasing a piece of Pilates equipment to bring our workouts to the next level. This is super exciting because I’m ready to show you how you can tone your legs like CRAZY with this baby. Inner and outer thighs REALLY will get sore with the exercises I’m about to kill you with. Oh it’s gonna be fun.

IMG_4007

Also, the pads on the POP Pilates Power Ring say “TRAIN INSANE” on the inside! Oh and I’d like to make a comment about me on the box.

Umm, I’m on a box.

I feel like a cereal character. Hahaha. I wasn’t so sure about doing this but then I thought it’d be kinda funny. Last night I saw this in real life for the first time:

Hahahahahahaha. I hope you enjoy 🙂

AH! I was just about to post when my friend Sarah from Sarahfit.com texted me this:

marieclaire

I have no idea why I am purple and why iJustine is blue but OMG cool!!!! Did anyone get this issue yet? I need to go pick it up. Thank you for growing Blogilates to what it is today. It’s seriously all because of you. Also, I wanna thank Sarah for being an awesome friend over the past few years since I started posting videos on YouTube. She is an online fitness veteran and has really been genuine and trustworthy to me from the beginning! It’s always nice to find truly good people in the field in which you work. I mean, the reason why I left my first corporate job was mostly because of how toxic the coworker relationships were. Life isn’t about work or getting things done…it’s about working together as humans.

Love you guys! Please instagram your smoothie #cheapcleaneats after you make it so I can see! Yum yum! And lemme know which bottle and mat you like best. Your first Power Ring workout will be on YouTube next week!

I tried this for the first time today, must say amazinggg!! The only thing is you were definitely right about the cayenne adding that kick I really think I am just going to cut it out next time for me I love spicy don’t get me wrong it was just to much, but maybe I will try an 1/8 instead of the 1/4 before just not using it at all!!!!

  6. Veronica says:

OMG!! I love this smoothie. I had to tweak it a bit because I didn’t have one of the ingredient which was Almond Milk. I did have Coconut Milk and used this as a substitution. I also had spinach I had to use or they will get spoiled, so I added this to my smoothie and OMG, it was delicious! Will definitely do this again and will try this with the Almond Milk. THANKS A BUNCH CASSEY!

  7. Lauren says:

I didn’t have any kale or spinach at home, so instead I used Spirulina, and it was amazing!! Really yummy and filling 🙂 I definitely recommend x

  8. Emma POPSTERS since 1 year says:

Thanks for the recipe, I have a question, if I dont have bananas this time of year, I can replace it with Apple? Mango? What else can replace the banana?
    Thank U

  15. Petra says:

Hi. I found this yesterday evening and wanted to try so badly, but did not have any ingredients needed. So I made pumpkin seed milk, took apple instead of banana, yogurt -milk, kale – lettuce, pepper – ginger. And I must say WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, delicious. Am running to shop for the real ingredience to try again

  16. Macey says:

I am not a fan of almond milk. But I do like lactaid. Is it as good for you as almond milk?

  17. Ivanna says:

Can I drink this every single morning?

  18. Sarah says:

Hi, I was looking in the store for the blogilates water bottles, but I couldn’t find it. Are they still for sale? I would really love to buy one!!!!
    Thanks!
    Sarah

  19. Crissy says:

In addition to Blogilates I use the App “My Fitness Pal” and I entered in these ingredients and the lowest calorie count I could get it to was 267 calories, not 232. What brands of yogurt and almond milk were used to get this down to 232….every little bit counts 🙂

  20. Teddie says:

    Hi!!

I’m gonna try the Super Charge smoothie!! Im am gonna put some ting whit it to make it my own.

  21. Stephanie says:

I tried it today for the first time and I really enjoyed it!! although I think I started off with too much of the cayenne pepper so I’ll have to watch that for the next time! 😛

  22. Lori says:

Hello! I cannot find the water bottles in your store. Do you still have them for sale? I would LOVE to buy a few!!

    Thanks,

    Lori

  23. Maura says:

I was just wondering if this is made for meal replacement, or snack, or before/after workout? When is it best to drink this?

  24. Aurelia says:

I looooove this smoothie!!! since I’ve tried it I almost drink it any day as my breakfast, snack or even lunch! sometime I just add something different like: instead of using one whole banana I take half a banana and half an apple with cinnamon (that one is my favorite by now). Also trief it with blueberries … LOVE IT
    keeps me so energized

  25. MR says:

I have been drinking this smoothie for the last 3 weeks EVERYDAY at 11 am as a snack. It is so Delicious that I can’t stop. Sometimes I add half avocado and makes it creamy and Yummy. I use spinach because here where I am they don’t have Kale at all. I love the taste of lemon and the spicy.
    I just Loveeeeee it.
It is a great snack, healthy and soooo YUMMYYYYY.
    Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

  26. Sarah says:

Hey! In the Metabolic Supercharge Smoothie you mentioned briefly the Master Cleanse. What are your thoughts on this cleanse? Cassey I would love to hear your thoughts and anyone else’s as well. I was looking to see if there was a video where Cassey talked about it more in depth but haven’t found one yet?

  27. Sami says:

I’ve made this smoothie twice now, and I love it! There’s only one issue. After drinking, I find that my stomach feels…. odd. Not hungry and not sick, but like my stomach is both hungry and full at the same time. I don’t feel terrible, just really weird.

Is this normal? It goes away after about 20 minutes, but I don’t know if I should be worried or not.

  28. Erna says:

I cant have bananas ,there are so many recipies here with bananas .Is there something I can repalce it with, like with the same structure ?I sometimes use avocados ,but its not always a good idea. And if you cannot have dairy nor soy ??

    1. meri says:

Hi! I’m not sure about the banana issue, maybe you could blend almonds or something like that? I think that they would give a nice and creamy texture. And if you can’t have dairy or soy there are also rice and oat alternatives. I’m allergic to soyproducts that aren’t cooked but Oatly’s oatdrink is my fav milk replacement 🙂 I hope this helps even a bit!

    2. Trish says:

In a lot of Cassey’s recipes the banana’s role is to add natural sweetness and/or creamy texture. You can completely leave it out of something like a smoothie as long as you enjoy the taste/texture of the recipe without it. You can add other fruits or honey to the recipe if you want to increase the sweetness, and you can use coconut milk or avocado or something like canned pumpkin puree (note: not the same as pumpkin pie filling!) to get the same smooth creamy texture without bananas or dairy. I bet you could make two ingredient (egg and banana) pancakes using eggs and pumpkin puree instead, experimenting with how much pumpkin you need to get a good pancake texture. Apple sauce may be a good substitute for baking too. It’s more liquidy than pureed banana but we can fix that: if you’re making a batter for pancakes or muffins or something and it ends up being too liquidy, a good hack is to add a little ground flax seed to the batter, mix it up, and let it sit for a few minutes. The flax seed will thicken it up a bit and also add its own benefits.

  29. lisanne says:

I used rice-coconut milk instead of almond milk, makes it even more creamier!

  30. Lyssetta says:

Can i use chilli powder in substitution for the cayenne pepper? 🙂

    1. Amanda says:

Cayenne peppers are really hot (like REALLY hot) cayenne powder is ground dried cayenne pepper, makes sense right lol.
Chili Powder is a mix of chili pepper powder and some other spices, like cumin and garlic powder and sometimes other spices like cinnamon or nutmeg. But chili powder can be really hot depending on the ratio. Overall I would say don’t do it because the other spices in the chili powder might ruin the taste of the smoothie, I just ran to the grocery store today and forgot the cayenne pepper…thought I could the same but discovered it’s better not to lol

  31. Breanna says:

Can you sub the Kale for organic baby spinach instead?

    1. Asal says:

That’s what I did! Spinach is pretty nutrient packed as well.

  32. Allison says:

Just made this, and it tastes great! I did substitute spinach because that’s what I had on hand, but you honestly can’t taste it since the sweet stuff covers the green flavor. Thanks for the recipe!

  33. emagosevska7 says:

Can i use regular milk instead of almond milk?

  34. Jennifer says:

I am not a morning person. With that in mind, will this smoothly give me the umph I need to get through a morning workout? I’ve always heard that morning workout tend to be better but I always feel like I personally workout better in the evenings but I’d like to change that. Is this smooth ya good option before a workout?

    1. Emily says:

Cassey said in one of her videos that it even though there has been much debate about whether morning workouts are better than even workouts, it’s her philosophy that you are going to get the most out of your workout when you feel your best. For me, I am a morning person most of the time, but if I stayed up too late the night before there is no way I’m working out. I might be able to do a short run, but pilates is out because form is so important in pilates and when I’m tried my form sucks and get really frustrated. I know i don’t get the most from the workout so i wait until the evening. But the weird thing for me is if i do cardio in the evening i get so hyper and then i don’t go to be till 4 and i still have to wake up at 5 so that doesn’t work for me.

  35. Lauren says:

I’m lactose intolerant, can I eat greek yogurt? I don’t know if it will make my tummy hurt or not. If not what should I use?

    1. joy says:

i suggest that you use the vegan alternative. Greek yogurt is a diary.

  36. Lacee says:

I’ve never tried kale. Does it keep you full? Does it taste good? If I buy in the store, do I buy it like I would buy lettuce, if you know what I mean?

    1. Emily says:

Kale keeps me fuller than lettuce because it has more nutrients in it. In my stores it’s next to the lettuce, collard greens, spinach, and other big leafy stuff. It took me a little getting used to the flavor before I liked it but I kept trying it different ways. I LOVE it in minestrone soup. It’s also not bad in spaghetti sauce. I suggest cooking it into thing if your afraid of the flavor and then as you get used to it you’ll like it in more things. I was told in my science class forever ago that we have to taste the same thing 10-20 times before we really know if we like it. Good Luck!

    2. Lindsay says:

Kale is really good when you sautee it. Put it in a saucepan with some garlic, a little bit of olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. It’s delicious!

  37. Kaguesna says:

Wow, at the end of the drink, I was so full ! But like 10 minutes after I already felt like my metabolism was boosting and I wasn’t full anymore. I remplaced kale by spinach. But that was really good, I put a lot of pepper because I love spicy things, and I think I’ll add it more on my recipes. Thank you Cassey!

  38. Chariya says:

PEPER !!!!! IN A SMOOTHIE ????? THATS A WEIRD COMBO . IS IT DELICIOUS ??? WITH THE Pepper

  39. Natalia says:

Would 2% milk work instead of the almond milk?

  40. kdub says:

This shake isn’t so bad; the pepper is something serious though! I’ve made other shakes with kale/spinach and couldn’t stand them, but this one is palatable.

  41. Christina says:

I love Kale! But, Kale mixed with fruit and almond milk sounds horrible! Haha

    1. Stephanie says:

Kale with fruit isn’t bad! Banana flavoring pretty much blocks the kale out. But if you’re still weary about trying the two together, start with baby spinach instead of kale. Baby spinach contains less protein and vitamin C than kale but still adds an essential super green to your smoothies! And is delicious too 🙂

  42. Link exchange is nothing else however it is just placing the other person抯 webpage link on your page at suitable place and other person will also do same in favor of you.

  43. Lizy says:

I just tried this and Oh my God, it is absolutely delicious! I was slightly apprehensive because I’ve never had kale, and don’t really like my greens, and on top of that pepper, but the lemon, almond milk, banana, and greek yogurt definitely balance it out! Well, I’ve most certainly found my breakfast!

  44. Ula says:

    Please, help!
What do you think about replacing almond milk with coconut milk?
I won’t have access to almond milk for a while and I don’t know how it tastes so I can’t figure out if that’s a good replacement.

  45. Holly says:

    What is the serving size?

  46. Craig W. says:

Looks great! I will definitely give it a try!

  47. Amy says:

Cassey Thank you , with your energy and good spirit I decided to exercise and now I love it. I was a size 12 now I’m a size 6 and I want to keep being a popster, its all thanks to your eat clean and popilate videos.

    Thanks Cassey

  48. Amy says:

Cassey Thank you , with your enrgy and good spirit I decided to excercise and now I love it I was a size 12 now Im a size 6 and its all thanks to your eat clean and popilate videos Thanks Cassey

  49. Karen says:

Ugh i went out to buy the ingredients and couldn’t find the Kale, do you think spinach would be alright for now? 🙁

  50. Nicole says:

I want to try this recipe, but does it matter whether or not the ingredients used are organic? Or it’s fine if you can use ingredients that aren’t organic?

  51. Frederike says:

Is it better to drink the smoothie before or after a workout? 🙂

  52. Olesja says:

I was not much sure that its going to taste right, before i did it….but i was so wrong!!! I LOVE IT!

  53. Katie says:

I’ve been making this everyday for breakfast! It really gives me tons of energy!

  54. Frances says:

Can’t wait to try this! Also I hope the new meal plan is still happening? and hopefully the android version of your app! xx

  55. Laila says:

I’m just curious, do you think that it would be beneficial if I had this smoothie every morning as my breakfast? Basically, would it be a better alternative to cereal or anything else?

    Thanks 🙂

    1. Laila says:

If I was trying to loose weight

      1. Rylie says:

Yes, I would this smoothie is DEFINITELY an amazing replacement of cereal for breakfast! However, I would not suggest eating this everyday because your body will eventually get used to it and you will not receive all the benefits, and you will also get tired of the smoothie.
I suggest changing your breakfast (or other meals) every week to keep your metabolism guessing so that you can lose weight (if you want to) faster. 🙂 Hope this helped a bit!

        1. Laila says:

Oh thankyou, this helped a lot! 🙂

  56. Evvi says:

at first i was a little supicious about this.
and now im hooked! god it is amazing! flipping awesome! im in heaven! 😀

  57. Maggie says:

I’ve always wanted to try something like this but I was always worried it would taste horrible. I put in just a tiny tiny bit of vanilla just in case. Oh. My. Gosh. LOOOVVVEEE IITT!!!

  58. Katie says:

Making this for a school project tomorrow (healthy snacks) and just tried it out tonight. Wow, is all I can say <3

  59. KF says:

Think I needed a larger banana as mine tasted *extremely* green, but I love the spiciness — I put about 1/3 tsp of cayenne and it felt so nice on a cold day.

  60. Lea says:

I am in complete utter shock. This is the most nastiest smoothie of my life lol but hey at least it’s healthy. I dont understand how you guys like it, i wanted to throw up with every sip i took holy.

  61. Sharon says:

    THIS ACTUALLY TASTES SOOO GOOD!
Finally made it because I finally bought some kale! TASTES AMAZING.

  62. Rylie says:

I changed the recipe a little, because I cannot eat bananas, and I don’t have some of the ingredients…
    Here’s my revised version:

    – A spoonful of peanut butter, with a little banana extract (Replaces the banana)
    – 1 – 1.5 Cups of Spinach (Didn’t have Kale)
    – 1/2 a cup of nonfat Greek (unsweetened) yogurt
    – handful of ice
    – 1/2 a cup of Almond Milk (unsweetened/unsweetened vanilla)
    – 2 – 2 1/2 TBS of lemon juice (I didn’t have any fresh lemons)
    – 1/4 TSP of Cayenne Pepper (or more)

It tasted really good, mostly like Peanut Butter, but that helped cover up the spiciness of the Cayenne Pepper (So I could put more in it). Which if you don’t like too much heat (like me) is AWESOME.

    1. Rylie says:

oh, and I FORGOT ONE THING

      – A few good dashes of Stevia (I used Nunaturals, it’s the BEST)

      Hope you try it!!!!

  63. Liz says:

Hey I wanted to ask if it’s kind of unhealthy when I’m using frozen kale instead of fresh one?
I mean directly from the freezer, so I could spare the ice 🙂

    1. Jackie Vega says:

Hi Liz, I am new to this site…LUV it!….and not sure if anyone responded to you, as a Registered Dietitian, I say go ahead for SURE with the frozen kale and any fruit/veg frozen. 🙂 Its picked at the peak of ripeness and rushed off to be frozen with all great nutrient goodness trapped inside! 🙂

  64. Pippa says:

Hi Cassey! I can’t wait to do this smoothie but I am having a little problem: i can’t find almond milk in my area… So, what can i use instead of almond milk? Any idea?

    1. Clara says:

if you have a costco, they sell it, plus any health food store (p.s the bulk barn sells it too!) Hope i helped !! 🙂 (p.p.s almond milk is sooooogood :p)

      1. Pippa says:

        thank you 🙂

    2. Jennifer S says:

I’m kind of late to this comment, but you can always make your own. It’s super easy, if you can find raw almonds. I use 1 cup of raw almonds, soaked overnight. Drain and rinse and add to your blender. Then add anywhere from 4 to 6 cups of water (depending on how thick you want it or how far you want your almonds to go if they’re on the pricy side where you are). And blend for a few minutes. Strain out the pulp (I use a colander lined with a clean dish towel over a bowl). And boom! Homemade almond milk without all the added ingredients of store bought. Some people strain it several times, but once works for me. And you can add the strained milk back to your blender and all sweetener or spices or anything you like. I mine plain because I can use it for other things. You can do this with any type of nut.

  65. Anna L says:

Hi Cassey. I love this smoothie! So filling and yummy! and Healthy! I also added couple of extra ingredients in order to top up the fiber by 10 grams. http://www.rulesofdieting.com/boost-your-daily-fiber-intake-10-grams-in-30-seconds/

Together with your ingredients and my fiber ingredients. this becomes a super supercharge smoothie! 🙂 Fab!!

  66. Gabs says:

Any good substitutes for kale? Could I add some apple or strawberry?

    1. Krisztina says:

try spinach, i made it with spinach yesterday, it was very good

      1. Usemarie says:

could i replace it with anything else? cause honestly i don’t like kale and spinach :/

        1. Holly says:

It’s kind of crazy but you really aren’t going to taste the greens at all! I’ve used swiss chard also…

  67. kmac524 says:

LOVE the green Metabolic Supercharge Smoothie!!

  68. Jewels says:

Wow, this was way tastier than I would have imagined! I just have one question—-how on earth do you get this smoothie (or any that have leafy veggies) SMOOTH?! I keep getting chunks and end up having to chew my smoothie! What am I doing wrong?!

    1. Renée says:

It’s probably your blender! Some blenders blend better than others (eg blendtec and vitamix) 🙂

      1. Rylie says:

My blender is not the best, and like you I tend to get chunks in my smoothie. I found that if you blend it for a long time and stir the clumps to the bottom of the blades, it turns out SO much better! 😀

  69. Gabby says:

Finally tried this smoothie out and its delicious! I just tweaked it a bit, instead of lemon I used lime and unsweetened vanilla almond milk since my store didn’t have plain. I added a little more than the 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper and it was a wonderful kick! Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe Cassey, and I am now an absolute convert to kale!

Tomorrow is my boyfriend and I’s 6 year anniversary and I got to open my anniversary gifts early. Guess what I got? I got the limited edition pink blogilates mat, the amethyst water bottle and the power ring! Do I have a wonderful boyfriend or what?! I absolutely love my gifts and can’t wait to order more wonderful things from you shop! 😀

    1. Hafsa says:

That is so cute! Haha, I wish someone would do that for me…But it’s ok since I came up with a goal that if I get straight A’s until winter brake I get to spend money in order to buy whatever i want from her shop:P

  70. Amy says:

You are right. It tastes better with lemon.

  71. Aaron says:

Love the looks of this smoothie & can’t wait to give it a shot!

  72. maria says:

OMG i cant wait for the new meal plan!!! iam so excited 🙂

  73. LaTrell says:

I’d love to know where to get these?

  74. shibani says:

No kale or Spinach at home
    How about Broccoli?

    1. Rylie says:

That’s actually a very good sub, let me know how it tastes! 😀

  75. jolene says:

i’ve made the smoothie like 3 days in a row and i love it!! yumx!!

  76. Cynthia says:

I was actually surprised how yummy it tastes…i had to change a couple ingredients, so added limes (extra to give more taste), and low fat cottage cheese instead of greek yogurt since I didnt have any and it still tastes super yummy!! i added 1/2 tsp of cayenne, im officially adding it to any drink i make! it tastes awesome and gives a kick at the end 🙂

  77. suz says:

Awesome smoothie! Makes you feel amazing! Although, let’s be honest, the extreme hotness is really just to disguise the fact that you’re drinking a dinner vegetable..! 🙂

  78. Jodi says:

Interesting, never tried cayenne in a smoothie before! I’ve heard of putting it in lemonade. I’m looking forward to giving this a try.

  79. Melissa says:

Tried the smoothie and JUST LOVE IT! It really made me feel great, woke me up actually after the whole day of feeling kinda pumped out 😀 So it’s definitely my new favorite breakfast 😉
Aaaaand, please make the app available on android!!!

    Love ya!

  80. Catherine says:

I have been drinking the metabolic supercharge smoothie for breakfast for 2 days in a row and I feel GREAT already! I put a half of a tablespoon of cayenne pepper instead of 1/4 and boyyyy its hot but I love it! Thanks Cassey!

  81. Léo says:

  84. Rachel says:

Cassey you keep getting blonder and blonder. I love your hair. Don’t go all the way blonde though. I like your hair in the Metabolic Supercharge Smoothie video. You are so pretty and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,
    xoxo,
    Rachel

  85. OMG! First time on your blog, I just love it! Those water bottles are hilarious, awesome, AND cute.. I think I need to get one lol..

  86. michaela says:

    Dear Cassey,
I feel like I’m in a exercising rut. I eat clean, but I just don’t want to workout anymore, I just don’t feel like I’m doing it to be happy, but doing it to lose weight and it feels like a burden. I don’t need to lose weight, maybe I’d like to have more defined abs but I want my weight to stay how it is now. How can I get out of a rut like this? (I have PE for about 4-5 hours in a week, and I work very hard, and I’ll do like 15-30 min of pilates a night, but friday nd today -saturday- I did nothing..i feel so useless and i just dont want to workout). please help me (I think maybe I feel like its going nowhere….u posted something similar before a while ago i once saw, please help me)
    with love, mic

    1. Kat says:

I hope you’re not still feeling like this! But if you are perhaps its time to find a new sport to take up that you can use the pilates to train for? A martial art or something that needs strength and dedication to get you back on the work out wagon. That way you’re working out to be a better athlete, not lose weight.

      1. Asha says:

Try taking a break from Pilates and find a different workout that you enjoy (hiking, running, horseback riding). Then when you get bored of that (or start to miss Pilates), you can come back to Pilates and work out harder and longer because you’ll actually be enjoying it instead of dreading it. Just don’t stop working out.

  87. Leslie says:

    Hey Cassey!

Just made the smoothie. It’s great!! Thank you for the recipe 🙂 I love the pepper. I also added Ginger, used coconut water instead of almond milk and almond butter instead of yogurt (for a vegan alternative). I love it!!! I did have to add just a little more liquid, but it came out great.

Have you ever tried using frozen bananas in your smoothies instead of ice?? It makes them so much creamier! That’s what I did with this one (and with all my smoothies!)

Thanks for everything. Love you! <3

  88. valent says:

Im so in love with the water bottle! But since I drink like a camel, 600 ml is a bit too small for me 🙁 will you make a bigger size cassey? Haha I hope you will! 750 ml would be amazing! But im still gonna buy this one haha

  89. Bethany C. says:

I love the sports bra idea! Personally I like the american eagle ones, I like how they have padding unlike the nike ones i’ve tried. Also a blogilates keychain! I think I might have posted it on facebook a while ago, one with blogilates in your writing like on the mat but in metal would be cool!

I love the mats, I think they look amazing! And the water bottles too! It’s so inspiring seeing you and your business grow! It must be tough/such a dream to be an entrepreneur! Super proud of you/so happy for you and all your success! And also I love that for your business we get to interact with you and hear about things from you the owner, not just like some company where we have no idea who created the products 🙂

  90. Michelle says:

OMG I LOVE EVERYTHING you make Cassey!! I just made the metabolic supercharge smoothie and it’s sitting right next to me in the kitchen as I write this hehehe I added TOO MUCH cayenne pepper though! Haha but I love it!! Thank you! I think I will buy some of your products for Christmas pressies later this year! ^_^ Love you! xoxo <3

  91. Amy M. says:

I tried this with a different fruit, spinach, and regular dairy milk and it was good. Now I feel kind of warm for some reason, but it kind also just be the room I am in right now.

  92. Natalie says:

I love that you emphasize health over some ideal weight or exact look. I look using banana when I make smoothies/shakes as it masks all the healthy greens we need! The bottles are too cute! 🙂

  93. DMS2 says:

    At last! Blogilates mats!!! :DDDD
And a power ring! <3_<3 That was a surprise! I have been looking for a quality (not too expensive) ring for a while but they are too many to choose one.

INTERNATIONAL POPSTERS, is there anyone from Barcelona or surrounding cities wanting to share shipping costs and import taxes??

  94. I would love to see Blogilates brand workout underwear!

  95. Sandy says:

Caaaaassseeeeeyyyyyy! Are you for real? You are so selfless and so dedicated! It’s incredible! I am so thankful for everything you do! Working out is much more beautiful and fun than before for me! I really really hope your power ring will still be available next year because I won’t be able to buy anything before 2014 (sigh sigh) but I can’t wait!!!! I want your mat as well and your water bottle! Thanks again for everything, you are one of a kind Cassey!

  96. Wow, you are amazing! It is so great to see how responsive you are to our comments, be that a new workout song or awesome active-wear and accessories! Thanks for being so awesome 🙂
Also…I’m a bit scared about putting cayenne pepper into my smoothie…but I guess its worth a shot, especially if it gets my metabolism revving!!

  97. Robyn says:

I’m so excited to get these!!! Love love love the yoga mats!!!

  98. Crystal says:

Casey you’re such an amazing person, that’s why you’re having such great success. You’re a go getter, but you actually have a heart!

I love the mats, but I have bad knees and was wondering if you can make a thicker mat?
Preferably a blue one with my favourite saying “Sore today Strong tomorrow” in your beautiful script?!

Also you’re so considerate including a light travel bag!!! I wish more yoga mats came with something to make them easier to travel with. (as much as I love doing your blogilates at home I still like going to a regular yoga class :3 )

  99. Moni says:

I would just love some cool, fun sport bras. Great job as usual Cassey!

    1. Sarah says:

      I agree!!!!

      1. Leslie says:

Yay!!! I would love sports bras too.

  100. Kellie R. says:

  103. I wish I could force myself to drink it but kale AND cayenne pepper?! I doubt I could chug it down!

    themacaronaddict.blogspot.co.uk

    1. Elena says:

I admit I was a tad bit weirded out by the ingredients but I made it for breakfast this morning and it was delicious! I will be making it again 🙂 You should def give it a try

  104. Maria says:

The mats! Finally! I love love love all of them, but will order the “Train like a beast..” one – the colour combo is adorable! Thank you so much for your hard work, Cassey and congratulations on your well-deserved succes!

  105. Emma says:

I want to see blogilates dumbbells/hand weights 😀

    1. Ethel says:

      It’s already on the store!

      1. Terry Shaw says:

Wow! How much are those blogilates dumbbells? I really want to have it! 😀

      2. Ariane says:

Can you give the exact URL? I can’t find them on blogilates store.

  106. Matilda says:

I have a circle aka power ring, not your brand (i’ve had it for about 5 years), and it’s a fantastic tool for pilates.
So those of you who don’t have one, get Cassey’s! seriously you’ll love it. Your’s looks nicer than mine, but then again mine is dated.

  107. Melissa says:

Definitely going to try the smoothies for next Monday!
“train like a beast” water bottle + “train insane” mat + power ring = i want them all!!
And Cassey you deserved to be in every fitness or women magazine!

  108. Amy says:

Love the new products!! I am planning on trying this shake for breakfast but substituting blueberries for the banana.

  109. Sinia says:

    woah, everything looks so awesome!
One question about the smoothie: Since I can’t have bananas, is there any good substiution for this? I normally would take apples or pears, but I guess they might liquify the texture…

    1. Tamar says:

Yeah you can use mango – it will have the same texture and will be as sweet as bananas

      1. Sinia says:

Great idea, I havebn’t tought about that. Thanks!

  110. Nicole says:

Thanks for all your inspirational posts Cassey! Oh, and for making all these wonderful videos. I used to go to a pilates class and I honestly think just watching your videos are more effective 🙂

  111. Nora says:

Can I also use quark instead of joghurt?

  112. Karen says:

Oh my soul!! I love it all!! Especially the water bottles. I go everywhere with a plain bottle of water in hand, but these are just fab! But can you please, please, please make some really pretty bralets? Because looking good while working out just makes you feel super strong and feminine. Love you Cassey!! You have changed how I look and how I feel towards myself, you deserve all the success in the world

  113. Jenny says:

Love the water bottles, Cassey! And very tempted to try your pilates ring!

  114. Paola says:

I love all your new merchandise, I already bought the “sore today…” Water bottle. Love it!
I would live if you can make your tank tops in plus sizes. You know, big girls that are working out hard to be smaller need cute clothes too. Please!
    Paola

    1. blogilates says:

oh i def have them in plus! i just run out so fast!!

  115. Chris says:

Goodies, goodies, goodies! Wish I can avail ’em all. Thank you so much Cassey!:)

  116. Elena says:

This smoothie sounds so good! I just went grocery shopping and got kale! This is my first time trying it. I will be making this for breakfast tomorrow 🙂

  117. Kaitlyn Riddle says:

Cassey, first I just have to say YOU ARE AMAZING. Obviously. I just bought the Train Insane yoga mat!! And the Power Ring! I hope it is here in time for the new workout next week! When I read the new email about all of your new stuff, I was sooo excited. I’m so happy to buy from you, I could get a yoga mat or ring anywhere, but not a Blogilates brand! And I love that I can show my support for you through buying your merchandise. You are seriously amazing; you offer so much to our community, for free. I have not seen the genuine love and care that you express for people on any other fitness site/person. Oh, one more thing, are the water bottles BPA free? I wanted to know before I buy one. Thanks, Cassey!! Much love!

  118. Leanne says:

LOVE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS! Especially the mats they’re so pretty! Congratulations Cassey on all your products! I’d love to have my face on a box someday.

  119. Nessuuhhh says:

I can’t wait to get my hands on a water bottle and a yoga mat!

  120. Laurence says:

    Omg these water bottles!! G o r g e o us!
Oh and you’re such an amazing person, Cassey, so glad I had the chance to discover the blogilates community 🙂 your workouts and energy really makes me feel better about myself! Thanks for doing this to us xo

  121. Alex says:

Cassey I just wanted to say how thankful I am that you know, understand, and appreciate what vegans are! Being a vegan myself it makes me feel so good and encouraged to have a fitness professional who understands my aims and goals, and someone who knows that being vegan is a good thing! So many fitness people are obsessed with chicken, yogurt, beef, eggs…it’s so refreshing and encouraging to follow someone who advocates a vegan diet! I truly believe it’s the best diet around. It just motivates me so much when you post little vegan variations here and there so I don’t feel left out. So nice to know that of course I can do all of this while following a vegan diet! Thanks 🙂

    1. Kaitlyn Riddle says:

I agree! A lot of people always tell me that I won’t get enough protein from a vegan diet, which is not true at all! It’s so nice for Cassey to be helpful with adding vegan variations. I love when she posts random vegan meals that she tries; she’s so open minded!

    2. Kayleigh Hames says:

My other half subscribes to Men’s Health and apparently a LOT of fitness professionals are now advocating a vegan diet and recognising the amount of good that it can do. Personally, I’m veggie, but starting to sway more towards the vegan side as I just feel healthier reducing the amount of dairy products that I eat. Viva La Veggies!

  122. Sarah says:

Awww that was such an nice little message you about at the end. You deserve all your success. Not many people know how hard you really do work every day, and that you are always as bubbly in person as you are on camera. Love you! xoxo

  123. Julie says:

OMG love the new merchandise! I was scrolling down going I want that….and that….and that…and Squeeeeee! Power ring! Yes! Yes! Yes! I have been so curious about them and just thought about it earlier in the day. You flipping read my mind. I def will be picking one up. Thank you much Cassie for everything you do. You’re amazing. You inspire me everyday to keep going and not to give up. Sometimes I think you’re psychic bc you always seem to say the exact thing I need to hear while working out. It’s a little freaky sometimes. Lol. Looking forward to power ring videos in the future. So excited! 😀

    1. Julie says:

Oh and P.S. Congrats on all your success. You deserve it! Getting your picture in Marie Claire. How awesome is that!

  124. Queenie says:

I love what you’re doing, Cassey!
I wish you would come to Canada for a meetup!

  125. Kayleigh says:

I love everything!!!! Every bottle all the mats, love it all!!!! I would loveee if you designed some sports bras! Especially ones with really fun and unique backs. That’s the one thing I can never find!

    1. charlie ho says:

      Hi Kayleigh,
You know Cassey by now. Your wish may come true…..!

  126. Jen says:

LIFE isn’t about work, of course, but not-fun work is necessary for a lot of people…today at work the only thing that kept me from completely breaking down and walking out was the knowledge that I COULD NOT because I desperately need that job (no matter how miserable it is sometimes) in order to pay my bills. I did cry when I got to my car, though. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do, even if it’s not ideal….I’m a girly girl who likes wearing dresses and curling my hair, I don’t want to be crushing cardboard without air conditioning, wearing ugly shoes and jeans and sweating my ass off 40 hours a week to earn barely more than minimum wage. But I have to. Not everyone gets their dream job, most people can’t quit their jobs just because they don’t like it. And that’s ok. It’s the job market these days. But, it makes me drink a lot of water and burn a lot of calories so I guess that’s good. 🙂 Gotta keep my game face on. I’m tougher than I look.

    1. charlie ho says:

      Hello Jen,
You a re right about most people have to do things that they do not completely enjoy. However, due to economic reason, we all have to swallow our pride to go through the day. However, continue looking for a way out and some day in the future you will find it. Take advantage of the tough time now to really know yourself well: what you god at, whom you want to spend time with, and what makes you happy or happier. Avoid what other do to promote themselves as ego. Remember, happiness does not come from one source. Materials, friendship, conpanionship, being content, being independent, being open-minded, being enlightened,…….are the sources for our answers in life.
Do what you have to do now temporarily, and continue observe your environment for the right opportunity.

      1. Jen says:

You’re very wise. 🙂 Right now I have to be content where I am and find happiness elsewhere, and I manage that. I have friends and family that help me unwind. Evan Williams also helps. 😉 Since I started working there two weeks ago I’ve been too exhausted to exercise except for on weekends, though. I hope someday there will be something better available for me….maybe the job market will pick back up soon. Most people are really struggling. I’m thankful just to have a job at all.

Sorry that I focused in on the job thing. 🙂

  127. Jessica A says:

I really love the colour of the water bottles and mats that I don’t know what to pick! I really want to buy them even though my mat and water bottle are still in OK condition 😛 The pink mat “Blogilates” and the purple “Train Like A Beast, Look Like A Beauty” are so gorgeous… my mind is battling right now XD

  128. Would you ever consider doing a giveaway?

  129. Omigosh I really want the Train Insane Yoga Mat and Water Bottle!!

  130. Alyssa says:

Please please please restock the low back tanks! Pretty please? 🙂

  131. Tess says:

I really want all the water bottles (cuz you can NEVER have enough!) and the power ring! Hopefully there are substitutes (like resistance bands) for it! I love the Blogilates mats!

  132. Jennifer says:

Is there anything we can sub for the power ring in the workouts?

  133. Laycee says:

When I saw you pinned the water bottles on Pinterest, I came straight here! I can’t wait to get my pink bottle! 🙂 I also have a question… during the Power Ring workouts, will there be modifications for those who do not have a Power Ring just yet?

Thank you Cassey for always working so hard for us! We truly appreciate it!!! <3

    1. Laycee says:

Wait. Scratch that. I can’t wait to get my PURPLE bottle! haha It’s going to match my purple and turquoise Nikes perfectly. 😉

  134. MissPinkKate says:

    Awesome! What magazine is that?

  135. Jayme says:

Woo hoo! Just ordered the power ring, can’t wait for the new videos! I’m such an eager beaver lol.

  136. Nicky says:

You’ve changed my life Cassey, for the better. I’m not just focused and obsessed with remaining as skinny as I possibly can but now I am more concerned with being as healthy as I possibly can be.
