WORKOUT DETAILS

Hey POPsters!

Hope your week is off to a STRONG and SPECTACULAR start!

I filmed a really fun (is that the right word?) Muffintop eliminating workout for you this weekend that somehow ended up being 17 min long! Hahaha. I spent a lot of the video talking about some inspirational stories that happened in Utah to distract you from the pain. You’re welcome in advance 🙂

Remember that just doing an oblique workout will not 100% shave the extra fat off your waist. This workout should be combined with clean eating and cardio for a quicker effect! If you are unsure how to eat clean, please check out my grocery shopping list.

A great cardio workout to pair this routine with is my Fat Melting Routine:

If you can do Fat Melting 4x and this routine once – 3 days a week along with clean eating, oh man! Those results are going to come QUICK!!!!

Also, I just want to remind you to never ever ever give up. I believe in you and you should believe in yourself too because that is your GOLD. It’s the highest currency you can spend on yourself. Invest in YOU.

Something to make you smile…how adorbs are these banana pups!!??

And lastly, I hope you had a chance to make my no sew Farmer’s Market Tote!

See directions here.

Have an amazing day! And if you watched the video…I asked in there that if I came to Boston, should I have a meet up? Lemme know in the comments!

Thank you and love you,

Cassey

I was having a really hard time with this workout, the muffintop massacre. I was have pain right on my joints of my hips. Was I doing it wrong or is there a better way to do it? I am young so it isnot an old person thing. I am just out of shape,
    Thank you!

Please more whole body workouts like this one and like Whoa Whoa whole body workout. These are my favorite ones because they work more parts of the body at the same time which means you feel the energy through the whole body and keeps you more focused. For example I find that the abs workouts are too much focused on abs and the other parts of the body stay stagnant during exercising and I find it pretty boring, not so challenging (although they are challenging for abs) and dont require too much focus because they are isolated moves to a great extend. I know that you have them diversified in your workout calendars, but I dont mean the frequency (like doing a leg workout after an ab one), but I mean the motion of the workout. There is also the 100 burpee challenge that is great and also some Pop cardio videos, but for strenght I feel that isolated workouts dominate to whole body workouts.
Thank you very much for all your work, commitment, positive energy and for your genuine passion.

If you’re looking for natural beauty, you must visit The Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY at least once in your life! There are dozens of gorgeous state parks there, including Buttermilk Falls and Robert Treman near Ithaca, and the famous Watkins Glen. They all have amazing gorges and waterfalls, and lush forests. They awesome for fall, spring, or summer (or winter if you like snow, and have good tires). The whole area around the parks is made of peaceful countryside and historic towns. Ithaca is also a college town.

p.s. I know this is a long shot, but if you came to East Tennessee (Cherokee Nat’l Forest), I’d be there!

    Casey,
I am from Northwest Ohio so you probably never have a meet-up near me but you are awesome and I love you!

    Hey Cassey;
I don’t know if you’ve ever felt it, but what do you do when you feel like giving up? I’m 20 lbs off my goal, so close, but it feels like the closer I get there, the harder it is to lose weight to the point where I can’t lose it no matter what! If I can even lose a pound I gain it back in three days, tops. Please help? I think it has something to do with metabolism but I’m only 14 so I don’t really know what ingredients do what with the who now.. if it makes any difference I’m about 5’5″ and 140 lbs?
Anyway, if anyone’s got any tips for me I’m listening, please and thank you 🙂 x

    1. Hilda :) says:

So far, no reply from her. 🙁 I need help too. I’m 5’5 and weigh about 263!! My doctor wants me to lose 10 pounds but it’s easier said than done.

    2. Pam says:

Generally, a smaller body requires fewer calories to live than a bigger body does. As you lose weight, your calorie requirements will decrease (assuming your activity levels remain constant). That’s why people who are losing weight hit a plateau, when the energy they take in (in the form of food) equals the energy they need. At that point, one who still needs to lose more fat needs to decrease caloric intake further and/or increase physical activity further.
Also, keep in mind that the number you see on a scale is a poor indicator of your health because it tells you nothing about your body composition. If you are working out with blogilates, you have gained muscle while losing fat. Muscle weighs more than fat, which leads many dieters to believe they have failed when the number on the scale doesn’t decrease enough, when they have actually succeeded.

      1. Hilda :) says:

        Thanks Pam! 😀

  11. Rachel says:

Cassey you should do a morning workout that we can do right when we wake up in our beds. That would be cool. BTW you should come to Chicago in Early November (the 4-6th) I am going to be there then!

  12. Stephanie says:

Hi Cassie! I found you from watching Jenn’s YouTube vlog about losing 10 pounds. So I came to check out your blog and ask you a question.

My doctor told me to lose 10 pounds but I have no idea how. i have a poor appetite but I don’t exercise. i loath exercise, to be honest. Can you please help me and make a vlog or post on your blog how I can lose 10 pounds?

FYI, I’m also afraid of dieting because I always gain it back plus more than before and I already weigh so much.

    1. Hilda :) says:

      Sorry I misspelled your name.

    2. Hilda :) says:

      Please help! 🙁

      1. Heather Burnett says:

        Hi Hilda (:
If you want to lose 10 pounds I would recommend drinking tons and tons of water. Also you should drink green tea. This all speeds up your metabolism and gets you digesting food faster. You can find lots of things to speed up your metabolism. Just google it. (:

        1. Hilda :) says:

Is there a decaf green tea because green tea makes me nervous. I suffer fom nervousness and depression. So coffee also makes me nervous. Unless it is decaf.

          Thank you for replying! ❤

          1. Louise says:

            Hi Hilda,
It is about more than just losing 10 pounds, it’s about embracing a new lifestyle and keeping the pounds off for good!
I have also suffered from anxiety and depression and exercise is a great natural anti-depressent.
My best advice would be try to do some kind of cardio-exercise for half an hour to an hour every day; be that blogilates videos, going for a jog or just walking. I started to talk home from work (it takes about an hour) and it has made a big difference for me!

The next thing is to look at what you are eating. You can do loads of exercise but if you’re eating more calories than your body is using, you will put on weight. An average woman needs about 2000 calories each day; if you eat more than your daily allowance, you will put on weight. Likewise if you eat exactly your requirement, you will stay the same!

Look online to work out your daily calorie requirement (everyone has a difference requirement, mine is 1800!) To lose one pound of fat PER WEEK, you need to eat 500 calories LESS than your daily requirement EVERY day. So for me, with my daily requirement of 1800 calories, that would be 1300 calories per day to lose one pound of fat per week. If you stick to this, then in 10 weeks you can lose 10 pounds.

Once you have reached your goal weight you can start eating your daily requirement again and stop cutting out the 500 calories a day. This doesn’t mean you can just go back to eating more than your daily requirement because you will just put all the weight back on again. This doesn’t mean dieting forever or that you can’t eat cake ever again, it just means counting the calories in your food to make sure you stay within your daily limits.

Sorry for such a long reply, but you sounded like you really needed help! (And just drinking loads of water and green tea will not help you to lose the weight).

            Good luck!

          2. Hilda :) says:

Oh my, Louise, THANK YOU! You’re a God send! That sounds right. Thank you so much, I was afraid that if I reach that point of going back to the way I was eating, I would gain it all back but now I know that I wont if I stay 2,000 calories or below.

I don’t know how to thank you enough!

            XO
            Hilda

P.S. Love the long explanation. It helped a lot to understand. 😉

          3. Heather Burnett says:

Green tea is actually caffeine free.

  19. kylo says:

I currently live in Sherbrooke Quebec (also beautiful in fall), but I would make the trek out to Boston for a Meet-up.

  20. Britney says:

I would come to a Boston meetup! I am about an hour away. It would be amazing!

I skipped out on probably a weeks worth of workouts (not 7 days in a row, but probably 7 days between 2 weeks) because of work related stuff and being worn the smack out. HOWEVER, I have picked back up this week and feel phenomenal. The workouts this week have the muscles in my lower back (lovehandles!) feeling sore and it feels AH-mazing!

  23. Sarah says:

Hey Cassey! Congrats on writing your book! I’m actually in grad school right now working towards a degree in publishing, and I’m currently working in the field. I always said to myself that you should write a book. I don’t know far in the process you are (if you have a publisher, or if you’ve written a query letter), but I just wanted to let you know that if you have any questions about the publishing industry, I would be happy to answer them for you. Good luck!

  24. I am loving your version of the farmer’s market tote. So easy to make. I wonder how I can make the strap longer so that I can use it as body bag. 🙂

  25. Sarah says:

    Come to New York! Please!!

  26. Jovan says:

I have made the Farmer’s Market Tote before and they’re so cute and easy to make! They are very durable, too. I made mine out of an old Led Zeppelin t-shirt. In your muffintop massacre video (Agh! My midsection has officialy been murdered) you asked us to suggest some good spots to take photographs in the fall, and I would like to throw Nashville, TN out there. It’s absolutely gorgeous out here in the fall time! If you are interested and want to look into it, some hot spots would be the Belle Meade Plantation, Cenntennial Park, and Gaylord Opryland Hotel (over 14 acres of gardens and waterfalls inside the atrium). The real beautiful spots are in the backwoods. I can promise you won’t have any issues finding the right setting, and it’s always nice to experince real southern hospitality. I just wanted to throw that idea out there because I would love it if you had a Nashville meet-up. Also, thank you for the inspirational stories during the muffintop meltdown video. It’s so easy to give up when it comes to weightloss and fitness, but it’s also easy to keep going when you have the encourgement (you!) and right moves. I can’t wait to share my success story with you. I’m almost there!

  27. Emily says:

Come to san diego for a meet up!!!

  28. Kristine says:

I feel so guilty after reading this post. I’ve been working out for 3 months, but then my sister came to visit me for a month and I literally didn’t have any time for a workout. She’s gone for about a month and I.. I still haven’t started working out again 😀

  29. Elda says:

Ah, it hurts so bad! Feels like my ribs are broken, haha. 🙂 Sore today, strong tomorrow!

  30. Esther says:

  31. ally says:

oh also you HAVE to find a healthy belgian waffle.i know it seams silly but that would be great or maybe brownies oooooh! or oreos!!!!!

  32. ally says:

hey i am twelve but i still love doing your workouts for lean muscles that are strong!!!!!! I am from Bedford which is close to Boston and it would be so cool if you came here!!! Also you should really do some more true pop Pilates videos and full leg workouts because they are so fun! hope you read this.

    1. Rachel says:

OMG I am 12 too! I am a recovered anorexic and Cassey inspired me to love myself. Keep up the hard work

  33. Rachel Ward says:

Please do a Boston meet-up around Thanksgiving so some people can go up there for break! 😀

  34. Ashley says:

    Definitely do a Boston meet-up!

  35. Melissa says:

Love the new workout!! And those banana pups XD
And the cute DIY bag… and mostly, the motivating words. I really need it right now.
Thank you Cassey, I’m definitely going to invest in myself 🙂

  36. Giselle says:

Did this one as part of the #SWEATEMBER calendar, my obliques thank you for the soreness XD No, really, thanks for the workouts 😉

  37. Sarah says:

Easing back into working out after a week on the road. Liked this workout, but I felt it more in my hips than my obliques…must be from sitting in the car for over 50 hours. Ugh! I think I’ll go do some stretching vids. 🙂

Love the market bag Cassey! Thanks for sharing that idea.

  38. My love handles are definitely an area that I want to target a bit more in my workouts, this post came at the perfect time 🙂

  39. Lydia says:

I have not done this workout yet but I haven’t been able to workout hardcore like I used to since I hurt my back at the end of July from scuba diving for my research. So instead, I stretch everyday for at leats 20 minutes.

  40. Lindsey says:

Come south for some true hospitality! 🙂 Anywhere in the Carolina’s!!!! Raleigh or Charlotte NC would be best! 😉

  41. Amy says:

A boston meet up neeeeeds to happen! 😀

  42. Heather says:

    You should come to Canada!

  43. Jen says:

Yes do a meetup in Boston!!!

  44. Kaitlyn says:

I’m from oklahoma, but I say yes to the Boston meet up so all the great popsters around there can meet you! So excited for the android app, the new diet plan AND your book. You’re doing some great things, Cassey!

  45. Amy M. says:

I have been trying to find a job recently and I believe the same thing as you do about miracles happening right when you are about to give up. That happened this summer when I needed a job and got a couple for the season during different months.

I am hoping I will be able to find a job soon though because it takes a lot of energy to look for a job.

I live in Boise, ID by the way.

  46. michelle says:

i used to love your blog, but it is SO difficult to navigate and quiet frankly annoying to visit now with all the ads & pop-ups!!! i’m sure that’s how you make money off of this, but is it really necessary?? you are ruining such a good thing!

    1. Amy M. says:

There are no ads when I look at it.

    2. Alex says:

Do you have adblock or something similar? I have the same problem with pop ups, and it is annoying, but advertisements keep good stuff like this running. Hosting a website, hosting videos, developing products, these all take money, and that money’s gotta come from somewhere. I’ll take blogilates with the ads instead of not having it at all, lol.

    3. Zaphirenia says:

Try adblock, I don’t see any ads.

    4. Melissa says:

I don’t see any ads either, maybe adblock can help 🙂

  47. Valerie says:

I’d do a meetup in Boston!

I’m at boarding school around there now, and I’d so love to meet you 🙂

  48. Jade Rae says:

Ahhh! This routine is killing me! Thank you Cassey! 🙂 And you should come to the Twin Cities, I’d love to meet you! I’ve been following your social media for about six months now and am enjoying getting my butt kicked by your great work outs! Thanks again!

  49. Oh, and the banana pups are killing me

  50. Leah says:

Yes please for a Boston meet up 🙂

  51. elly says:

    Meet up in Boston? Definitely!!!
