Hey guys!

How’s the weather where you are? Do you see any changes in the colors of the leaves yet? Here in LA it’s still sunny and pretty hot but with all of the signs I’m seeing for pumpkin spice lattes, I wanna be in a sweater and scarf! The nights are getting colder though and I’ve pulled out my leggings officially 🙂 So I thought it’d be quite appropriate to do a fun leg sculpting video for all of those fashionable tights coming out!

It’s a beautiful barre style routine that even I thought was gonna be easy…but oh boy was I wrong!!! Right when we get into Elvis’s (the 2nd move) you know it’s not going to get easier from here. And don’t get me started on Circlethons. They are insane. By the way, do you like the way that I showcase the moves at the beginning of the video? Lemme know because if you do, I’ll keep doing it. Is there anything else you want me to do with the vids that will make it easier for you to follow? More entertaining? Let me know!

    I love the previews! I usually watch a fitness video before I attempt the moves to see if I can’t do anything. With your previews, I can skip that step and get right to working out. It’s a big bummer to start a video and then have a really difficult move thrown in in the middle where I have to stop and lose momentum.

    Hey i don’t think my mom will let me buy protein powder… Although I didn’t exactly ask yet… But anyway are there any alternatives to it? Or should u just ask?

        I would skip the protein powder if you’re just after protein. Greek yogurt, salmon, and even ahi tuna (120 cal, 27g protein/serving!) are great alternatives 🙂

    I like the movement previews at the beginning! I like knowing what you’re up to! It keeps me motivated! Like when you are counting down before finishing an exercise, those seconds are the strongest for me, like: “There, there is the end and you are gonna do it, just a little bit more, keeping strong!” I don’t know, that’s just me and how my mind works best XD Uncertainty kills me!

    Also, when I’m not following the calendar I think about what I wanna work out and the movements that I loved the most doing, so I’d love to see this preview in every video so I know which routines appear there instead of going through the whole video.

    So if you keep doing it for me it’s a YAY! =D

    Agreed with those in favour of showcasing the moves. After I have done a video a few times, I skip the intro – but I like to see what I’m in for before. Whenever I want to do a video without a show reel at the beginning, I’ll click through quickly to see what I’m in for anyway. So thanks for making things easier (once again!!!)

    As hard as this workout was, I loved it!

    I liked seeing a preview of the moves before because I knew what to expect and wasn’t worried about how long the video was. It was a big motivation! I saw it as ‘I have just five moves to do’, rather than ‘omg I have 15 min!’.

    Personally I don’t like having the previews because if there’s a move I already find to be challenging, then it makes me go “OH GOD NUUU I’m no good at that, I can’t do that.” And then I am dreading that part until it comes…without it when I come to that part, I just think ‘crap…oh well, I’m this far already.’

    Also, since we often do videos per your calendar, the time it takes up is kind of frustrating (since YT also usually makes us wait through a commercial). And when I’m already sweating and tired from the earlier video it can be discouraging.

    Just my two cents.

    On another note, not related to this particular workout but does anyone else have trouble doing some of the moves that requires you to be on your wrists? I have a hard time holding myself up because my wrists start to hurt ><" I know Cassey says to go on elbows as a modification but does anyone have any other suggestions?

    OMG Cassey!!! I loved the skinny legging workout sooo much :). I imagined myself as a ballerina and pushed myself to finish the whole thing without stopping, and I DID IT :). BTW this was my first monthly calender I ever did. I could remember the first day when I just started. I used to pause the video like a 100 times. Now I push myself as much as I can, I have lost weight and noticed a great change in my body ( I also started eating clean). Thank you soo much Cassey. I just have a problem everyone tells me I look older than my age, since my face shrunk, it makes me less confident about myself. I know I can not target fat loss, but I do not want to look older :(. Does anyone have any advice?

    I’m going to be super honest and say I really don’t like the preview of the moves you put at the beginning. I like the mystery of not knowing what I’m getting myself in for, else I feel unmotivated from the start.

    Sooo excited for #abtoberfest though, Cassey you’re a star!!

      Daisy, I couldn’t agree more with what you’re saying. I think it’s actually demotivating seeing the moves prior to doing them. Especially when it’s a hard workout. Of course, saying all that Cassey, thank you for all that you do for the Blogilates community. I am very grateful for the amazing hard work you do to keep us happy and motivated. You succeed every time! 🙂
