Good Music = Great Workout!

Good Music = Great Workout!

Hey POPsters!

Lately I’ve been listening to A LOT of Taylor Swift! Her new album Red is soooooo good and I can totally relate to all of the songs. They’ve really helped me push harder in my workouts too, believe it or not!

Good, fresh songs = great, energized workouts!

I swear! I noticed that there is a correlation between how “tired” I feel during a workout and how tired I am of hearing a song! Music is soooooo important to me for achieving a super workout…if I leave my earbuds at home, I HAVE TO drive back and get them. Without my music, I just cannot function! If I were with a friend, I’d be ok, or with a trainer. But alone, it’s practically impossible! My head gets bored out of it’s mind.

Studies have shown that the faster the track is the faster you move or the faster you run! So having a good and ready workout playlist is essential. If you are short on songs, make sure to download Songza – it’s a free app with really cool playlists. I use it all the time for my workout classes to keep things fun and unexpected.

My fave songs from Taylor’s album are: Red, 22, I Always Do, Starlight, and Begin Again. Have you had a chance to listen to any of it? Her music is so amazing, therapeutic, and cleansing. I really want to go to her concert in 2013 and sing along with every track from the album! Taylor is my artist of the moment and I wanna go and thank her for getting me through the troubling times, as girly as that sounds!

Who is your musician of the moment and what songs have helped you get through challenges in your life? Or helped you celebrate the amazing experiences you’ve embraced?

Coming up this week…another awesome VS Workout! I am so happy you’ve all been tweeting and instagramming me pics of your high heels from the Stiletto Workout! So much fun! Look at these hot styles!

So cool. Now I have to figure out something even crazier to do for either your Angel Arms or Bombshell Booty routine…hmmm…type to put the sexy thinking cap on…

Okay off to another ridic week! I will be in LA again so I hope I get to run into more of you guys randomly! It’s always such a treat 🙂

Much love and have a FABULOUS start to week 3 of #Nutsinnovember. For those of you who say you can’t get in, change the “!” to a “1” –  there was one newsletter where I typed it wrong. Or just go on FB and ask another POPster to send it to you.

Thanks and love you forever and ever and ever!

<3 Cassey

“She’s really tall and blonde and I’m just Asian.” Oh my goodness. I don’t know why I found that so funny! Cassey, I adore you. Not only because you say some of the greatest things, but because you understand being a fan. It’s so fun to watch someone I’m a fan of be a fan of another person I’m a fan of as well. Us Popsters most def need a Taylor Swift series of videos. In the comments of those videos, we can discuss how we all relate to that one song by her. 😀 I sound so lame, but whatever.

Love you, Cassey.. and Taylor Swift too!

    xoxo,
    Amelia

PS. I love the wall! One of these days I will buy a tank and fit into it comfortably. 🙂

Yesterday I and some of the girls in my class were training Pilates. We did three of your bootcamp videos and one of your challenges. I showed the other girls how to do the moves, and it was so amazing!! I love doing your workouts and I think the other girls loved it too. We are so sore today! We are going to do some more videos next week too.

A Taylor Swift workout series?!!! Yes please! Cassey that would be so fabulous!!!!!! 🙂

  5. Lena says:

Oh my gosh Cassey I love you! I second everything you just said:) I’m a huge Taylor fan too, because her music is great, but also her lyrics! Her songs are beautiful poetry that nail things I have experienced so well. And she says it so perfectly. This video made my night, thank you so much!

Also, from one Taylor fan to another, have you heard the bonus tracks from her Target CD?!!! They have 3 extra new songs: “The moment I knew,” “Come back…be here,” and “Girl at Home.” They are perfection, just like the rest of her album 🙂

I have always loved Taylor! My favorite is All Too Well. It’s the best!!
And thank you for the best workout “classes” here in Texas! My husband is in San Fran for work. I wish I was with him so I could take one of your classes! Maybe when we go next year!

I’m addicted to “We are never ever getting back together”. I also listen to a lot of Fiona Apple when I’m having boy trouble. She writes the most raw love songs.

Btw – I love that scarf! Where did you get it from?

  9. Natalie says:

Boy troubles are the worst! I’m also a dreamer… what helps me get over a break up is day dreaming about how and when I’ll meet the right guy. It takes me from being sad, to getting excited. 🙂

My favorite artist right now is also Taylor Swift. I LOVE her new cd so much, but I haven’t tried working out to it yet lol. I never thought of TSwift as a workout artist, but I’ll try it out 🙂
