WORKOUT DETAILS

Hey POPsters!

Yes yes yes I know you’ve been asking for another stretch video for AGES and well, here it is!

This is the first video in the Takeover Makeover Series aimed at getting you charged up and ready to transform your life. I’m going to show you how to really take charge in:

– food

– body

– environment

– beauty

…all with the goal of helping you define and exude your best self! I want you to make yourself over from the inside out and really get a fresh and clean start to Spring!

This first video will help you open up your back (so stiff from computers and phones…) and loosen up your hips (so tight from sitting!). The stretches are painful but so worth it…just try to imagine how much more limber you’ll be for Takeover Makeover 2 which will literally KILLLLLL your body. I just filmed that today and oh boy, lemme tell you…that was Call Me Maybe Squats on sterioids!!!

Give this video a try before or after a workout. Feels great. Just allow yourself to surrender to your body. Trust me. You need to let go.. EeeeeeEEeee!!!

Love you and have a fab weekend!

<3 Cassey

PS…new video in the “Takeover Makeover” series is coming out in a few days. GET EXCITED!!! GET READY.

    Hi Cassie!

I’ve been following your videos and running quite a bit. Is there anything you recommend for tendonitis (Specifically peroneal tendonitis)? I am replacing my running shoes but do you know of any movements that will prevent this issue in the future?

  4. Mackenzie says:

  5. Barbara says:

So I don’t know if you’ll read this through this particular email, but I’ve been thinking really hard about the 90 day diet. It’s definitely something I’ve wanted to do since I’ve discovered your site, I just don’t know if I can afford it. I was just wondering how much you think i would invest into this diet so I can save up to start. I’m a mother of a beautiful daughter, and currently in the process of returning to school. I’m pretty sure a risk for diabetes since I was diabetic when I was pregnant. I just want to be able to keep up with my daughter and look in the mirror and feel confident. I don’t want to see anything model worthy, just someone healthy. And ready to run around with my daughter all day and not have to stop every five minutes to catch my breath. If you could just answer that one question, honestly I’d probably cry, but seriously, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much Cassey. You inspire me so much! Not because you can fit a smaller size jeans, but because you encourage people like me to feel confident and to work hard for whatever goals we have!

you have to start somewhere. i personally wouldn’t do the 90 day diet thing, but i would just make better choices. look on coupon.com for the yoplait 100 calorie greek yogurt coupons. those are a better snack than cheesits for example.

  8. YAYAYAY!!! I am so happy about this!!! stretching is the one thing I really need some motivation on!!!

Could you start doing that thing again where you told us where your cute and amazing clothes were from??

  9. Abbie says:

All the money raised goes to 3 main charities helping children dealing with cancer and their families. Thankyou. =) x

Hi Cassey! So I just found you earlier this year and wish I had much earlier. It took me about 2 months to finally commit to giving up my rice carbs (I’m Korean, we live on rice) and now I’m trying to follow your calendar but I feel so unfit. I have a small frame (about 5’2”) but overweight (140lbs) but get so fatigued so quickly I barely make it through just 1 of your videos let alone 5 in a row. I know you going to say just keep doing it but seriously as much as I love you and your enthusiasm, I’m always thrown off by you not getting winded or tired. And because I have so much extra weight I swear, gravity is working against me we you make us keep your body in one position or lift our thighs and butts and I feel like DYING. I guess my question is, how do you not get winded/tired? You are saying you feel the burn but you sure don’t look like it. I can barely talk/ask for water during these routines.

    1. Cris says:

I totally know how you feel, Sophie. Some of the videos I can get through OK, but a lot of them (like My Thighs Are Dying!) absolutely KILL me. I used to be in great shape, but then I totally stopped exercising when I came to grad school five years ago. At this point, it’s like I was never in shape at all. I’ve tried to get back into shape plenty of times, but I usually crashed and burned because I was going too hard and either hurt myself or go so sore I just couldn’t take it anymore.

I can tell you from my previous attempts to get back into shape that the only way to get better is to keep trying, but don’t kill yourself trying. I’ve committed to doing all 127 videos for April, but I’m going to take a few months doing it (so more like for April and May and maybe June). Right now, I’m doing one video a day most days. I’m willing to bet that in a week or two I’ll be able to do two a day, and I’ll just keep improving from there if I try hard and am consistent. It will probably be midsummer before I’m able to actually keep up with one of Cassey’s workout calendars, but I know I’ll be able to do it eventually.

Good luck, Sophie! You can do it!

    2. rahaf says:

Oh my god Sophie I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes, I get really discouraged that she can do it, and I can’t, but I just keep remindind myself that she’s been doing Pilates for more than 6 or 10 years now I think, and although she doesn’t look like she is getting tired, I’m sure she still gets that “burn”. I tried keeping up with one of her calendars but it was so impossible for me and the only alternative was to try the Beginner’s Workout Calendar.
I love the Beginner’s Workout Calendar and I totally think you should try it because it really eases you into her more intense workouts and makes you stronger slowly. It’s still hard and intense, don’t get me wrong, but a bit less and it teaches you to sort of become stronger slowly. And after a while, the burn actually becomes something to look forward to believe it or not. 🙂 Anyways, I definitely recommend it and I say, don’t hurt yourself or exhaust yourself. Listen to your body. If you think it’s too much, PAUSE. RECOVER. TRY AGAIN. You’ll get there don’t give up! 🙂 xx

  18. Marta M says:

Hey Cassie! As spring has come, I decided to start exercising but I was afraid of my back — since a few weeks it hurts me every day. And then I log in on facebook and see you’ve just added a new stretch video!! THANKS SO MUCH!!!! 🙂 Greetings from Poland!!!!!

    thank you <3333

  22. Tralana says:

Did this one yesterday, I loved it! Cassie do you think you could make a video specifically for people that have wrist problems? After working out for 20-30 mins I sometimes have to stop because if I do plank or anything on my wrists it hurts after a while.

    1. Cris says:

Have you tried doing planks on your elbows? I don’t know any alternate positions for pushups, but sometimes the only way I can do planks comfortably is putting my weight on my forearms instead of on my hands.

  23. Lynn says:

    Thanks for this video Cassey!
