DIY Grocery Bag + Blogilates App Update 1.2!

I have a new and updated app! The one in this post is outdated. Click HERE to access Body by Blogilates!

Hi guys!

Hope you’re having a fantastic week so far!! I filmed a cute little video for you on how to make your DIY Farmer’s Market Tote/Grocery Bag! Please watch it to see just how easy it is to do this project. And for everyone concerned, it actually does hold a lot of weight. I put a whole bag full of fruits and veggies in there it it held very sturdily. The double knots on the bottom and the cotton from the shirt work well together. You can see the full photo tutorial here.

Also, if you’re headed to the #BlogilatesBoston meetup next Saturday, I want you to make this bag and bring it with you. You will definitely need it for all of the goodies you’ll be able to take home with you from the event! Already more than 500 POPsters have signed up! CRAZINESS!!!! I can’t wait to see you all. Click here to register for your free ticket!

I’m working on getting sponsors for our meetup and so far Quest Nutrition has joined and will be letting you try all of their wonderful protein bar flavors. Also, Reebok will be sponsoring some gift cards for the winners of the Blogilates Inspirational Awards Ceremony!! Remember, here are the 3 awards:

1. Most Colorful – Whoever comes dressed the brightest and the most colorful obviously.

2. Social Media Queen – Instagram pictures during the Boston Meetup using the hashtag #BlogilatesBoston! I will randomly pick one winner.

3. POPster Inspiration Award – email me your story of how you’ve transformed your life through health and fitness at You can email me now until Friday Oct 18th, 2013. Please title the subject of your email as “POPster Inspiration Entry: Your First Name & Your Last Name”. Include city and state. Winner will be announced at the meetup. So this award is only open to attendees of the Boston Meet-Up.

OOH!!! And Blogilates App Update!!! Version 1.2

The App now features the Beginner’s Workout Calendar, a “My Posts” section, dynamic Hot Topics, and updated Recipes!

1. Beginners’s Workout Calendar (99c one time) – By popular request, I’ve now added the Beginner’s calendar for POPsters just starting out! After you finish this you can graduate onto the regular monthly calendars. Beware though. The day you buy the calendar is the day you MUST START or else you cannot go back and check off your workouts. It was designed this way because I don’t want you to wait around. No excuses!!!! YOU MUST START TODAY!

2. My Posts – Been reading your comments and now you have a “My Posts” section where you can go back to everything you’ve ever posted and see comments on your forum photos!

3. Hot Topics – It now has a fire icon. Yay! And is updated more frequently based on what’s getting most liked and commented at the moment.

4. Recipes – I’m constantly updating this section with new recipes from the blog! Just added the Cheesy Nuggets! Will add the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie soon!

Oh! And the Blogilates App for Android should be available before the end of the month. Start celebrating now 🙂

Also…I am also running a random giveaway on Instagram @Blogilates and on for some booty shorts! Go check out those links if you wanna see how to enter. I’ll be randomly picking and announcing the winners this Sunday!

    1. Nontalie says:

      Nevermind…I found it.

    Android App!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

  5. Sarah says:

I’m super bummed the beginners workout is in ADDITION to my monthly subscription. I think months (all) should be 1.99 w/out sub and free with sub. Just an idea.

  6. Valerie says:

I’m coming to the Boston meet-up! I’m so excited honestly!

  7. Char says:

So I am just wondering how all of you are able to do Cassey’s workout videos on your mobile device? I find doing on the computer is better since I can set it up like a tv and actually see what she is doing. How do you follow the workout videos on your phone? Do you hold it a certain way? Because I want to use my phone for the daily workout calendar and view the videos on there but it just doesn’t seem to work for me!

  8. Carly says:

Please develop a Windows app after the Android app comes out!!

Your app is only for iphone? It would be super to have any one for android phones…im french and here there are more and more android phones.

I wanted to make some healthy frozen yogurt, it was sooo good and my family loved it, I just mixed the ingredients in the blender then put them in my ice cream maker (if you dont have one I suggest just freezing the mixture for an hour or thirty minutes depending on how soft you want it)

    4 bananas
1 cup kefir (or non-fat plain greek yogurt)
1 1/2 cup strawberries (or another berry of your choosing)

THATS IT 😀 and its sooo tasty, the perfect healthy snack with no added sugar, and even with something bland like kefir its still so sweet (and I would know, I love sweet things)
    enjoy <3

  11. Dani says:

Please have and Android app. Sorry not all of us use Apple but we droid people like to workout with you too. Why you not show us love? 🙁 Please release app ASAP, we shouldn’t have to miss out…

    1. Dani says:

Sorry I must have missed that last part at the bottom of the article…so tired (been a long week) Can’t wait to use the Android app ^_^ much love!

  12. Tina says:

Oh? You have to pay for the calendar? Is it worth it, anyone who’s used it? I’m on Android, so I have a bit to wait to decide if I want it…

  13. Candice says:

Hi Cassey. I must be really late by now but if you have time, I think you can find some beautiful northeastern fall foliage at my alma mater, Wellesley College. It’s a 40-minute commuter rail ride from South Station. I’m not there (and your meet-up in Boston is on my birthday!!!!!!! T__T sigh) but you can definitely hang out, take pics and even do a POP Pilates video there! Enough people jog and walk their dogs through the campus, so I think they’ll welcome you, too. 🙂 Anyway, have fun on your trip, and thanks for this week’s videos!

  14. Rebekah says:

I just tried to download the app but it’s not compatible with IPod touch 🙁 Mega bummer! Guess I’ll have to update haha

    1. Yeah it is … I have one 🙂 Is your iPod completely up to date?

  15. Sara says:

I’m so excited for the Android app! I love your workouts and now it’ll be even easier to do them no matter where I am with the app. I used to workout daily, but I never really saw much change until I found your site and began doing the workout calendars. My muscles are more toned than ever and I’m feeling so confident and happy from the inside out!

  16. Yvaine33 says:

    Hi Cassey,

I have a question about the app. I paid for the calendar and secret video, but i have never been able to watch it. It doesnt work. When i start playing the secret video the app closes.
Does the new update fix this? Do you know if anyone else have this problem?
Im sorry, but its a bit frustrating. Otherwise i love the app! Its really good, i love that everything is in my hand. I use it a lot.

    Thank you Cassey!

  17. Jessica says:

Honestly Cassey, I’m not super impressed with how it doesn’t let you check off workouts unless it’s the day of. I switch rest days around based on my schedule, sometimes I have to space out workouts during the week, and there are times when I’m just too busy to work out and I’ll save that day’s workout for a rest day. POPsters are busy people! We need flexibility in the gym and out of the gym!

What if you changed it so that after a week or so, you couldn’t check them off any more? That way we get flexibility, but you’re also keeping us on our toes and on track!

Thanks so much for all you do, girl – we love you! <3

  18. Tanja says:

Oh Cassey I love the room where you were filmed in, fantastic the blue colour ! ♥ And if I could choose a short, I would take no. 5 cause I am a big pink fan 😀

    Sincere, T♥

  19. Ray says:

oh wow!!! now i know what to do with my old T-shirts…. can you do one that is not so girly… hahahaha

  20. Minda says:

The temperature has dropped on this side of the country! And its raining a lot. So when you come be sure to bring a jacket or a coat just in case. Lately its been 57 during the day…I miss the warm weather. Love you Cassey!!!

  21. Caroline says:

When you get into “train like a beast look like a beauty” hoodies in smaller sizes? Would really like to have one!

  22. Gabby says:

  23. Carmen says:

Amen to the app for Android! I feel I have missed a lot not having it.
    I can’t wait!

  24. Keripan says:

Your such an inspiration! I’m going to do a whole turn around on my food habits, and start the abtoberfest work out plan! (a little late, but i’ll work hard^^) Thank you so much for being yourself and giving motivation back to those who lost it (like myself) Wish I could meet you next week at the Boston meet up!! I hope you have a wonderful month Cassey~
    Kelly M,

  25. Ellie says:

    Please make an android app

  26. Christine says:

Love the updates!! Thanks, Cassey! I realize you purposely only allow people to check off workouts on the day of, but could we maybe change that? I usually go through my laptop to do the workout videos (b/c the screen is larger) and I forgot to check off the workouts on my iPhone app for one day… totally ruined my streak. A little depressing to take a look at my workout calendar now, haha; it’s so satisfying to see all those little pink dots. So yea, can we go by the honor system, or like, have a one-day leeway? 😀

Next question is more for everyone/anyone. I’ve been having some issues downloading the monthly exclusive workout video. Suggestions? Anyone with the same issue that managed to fix it? Not sure if it’s related to the new iOS7 update, and kind of nervous about resetting the app (and losing my precious pink dots! =P) to see if that will work.

    1. Hi Christine, downloading the video may need patience depending on the network condition. Try where you get good wifi connection. If you have further questions, please email us directly. Thanks.

      1. Christine says:

Thanks for getting back to me! Couldn’t find an email on your website, so I sent you a message via the “Contact Us” section at the bottom of the home page. Hopefully that was the correct method; let me know if it’s not.
