Craziest Most EXTREME Ab Workout Ever + Blueberry Protein Shake

Hey guys!

So this weekend I filmed literally THE hardest ab combo ever. I was DYING during and after this workout. You can’t really tell in the video because I’m all smiles and stuff but oh boy oh boy…this workout is INTENSE.

That is why it gets awarded the name “EXTREME ABS” – not any video can have that honor bestowed upon them. This workout is very special. I hope you choose to share it with your loved ones 🙂

MUAHAHAHAHA!!! May you all experience the wrath of POP Pilates!!!

Also, if your neck starts hurting, please remember to lift with your abs and chest instead of lifting with your neck. Pay attention to how you are using your muscles. Put the energy and the work where you want it to go! The burn will be amazing.

Now! What to eat post workout? Try my fave new blueberry protein shake to help build up some lean muscle mass!

blueberryshake

Blueberry Bonanza Protein Shake

– 1 handful of blueberries

– 1/2 banana

– 3 TBS nonfat Greek yogurt

– 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

– 5 ice cubes

Just blend it up! Ultimate yumminess. If you don’t do dairy, you can also sub the Greek yogurt for soy yogurt or coconut yogurt but the protein content will most likely drop. You can replace it with some vegan protein powder if you wish!

Hope you have an AMAZING START to the week! Remember, it is not too late to start on the July Workout Calendar!

This looks so delicious! Is there anything that can replace the banana in the recipe? I’ve developed an intolerance to bananas, avocados and strawberries 🙁

  2. shashank says:

This abs workout was so intense, it also injured my shoulder. And talking about the blueberry shake i have never tried this before but I really want to try it.

    The blueberry smoothie was delicious.

I fell down three times at the end of this video. I also managed to injure my shoulder, or at least the muscle that extends from the bicep toward the clavicle. It being October and all, I imagined Casie wearing fake teeth, I’m a nut but it helped.

  5. evie says:

    How many calories in this

  6. Cheryl says:

Unfortunately, I really despise the taste of yogurt. What can I use to replace the yogurt, especially if there is already protein powder in the recipe?

    Thanks!

  7. Amy M. says:

I would definitely say this worked my abs.

  8. Rikki says:

Just curious, what can you sub in for yogurt … lactose intolerant 🙁

    1. Jessica says:

soy yogurt or just take lactaid

  9. You’re workouts are so intense! My wife and I just love your blog. You’ve got really good workout posts plus a bonus of really healthy and delicious meals. Healthy meals can be also delicious, a common misconception to some people. We often check your blog whenever we get burnt out of the normal recipes we make at home. Thanks for a great blog!

Cassey, I love your workouts so much. You put so much energy into them and you’re so creative–I always get bored with the same old tired set of exercises that fitness websites advertise. Crunches, situps, lunges, boring. I LOVE that you use fun combination moves and even invent your own. Thank you so much for doing that for us (and for yourself)! And that smoothie looks delicious, but I have to ask, why do encourage a low fat diet? Your recipes always seem to involve low fat ingredients, and I know that it was conventional wisdom for several decades to avoid fat, but we know better now. Can you address this? Or do some reading–Michael Pollan wrote some popular books that address this to some extent. Eating fat won’t make you fat. I just have trouble taking your advice seriously when still push low-fat diets.

OW!!! That’s gooood. Now, how about some extreme bootay and legs?

  12. Dawn says:

Im a little confused about how to get the videos on the workout calendar. I have to download the app on my phone and then pay to get the videos? what if i wanted to do the workout videos on my computer?

    1. Mandy says:

You do not need the app. All videos are on Youtube, so just find them there 🙂

Cassey used to link to the workouts for each day but apparently she didn’t do it this time….

I seriously enjoy all the workouts here, tough on someone like me who has NEVER worked out before but I never knew that exercising could actually be fun haha
Can I make a suggestion? Is it possible to give some workout ideas for someone who works in the office? I literally sit in front of the computer between 8-10 hours a day and it’s starting to show (aches on my back and my butt) so it would be nice to see if there’s anything we can do while we are at work ><

this is the first time i am on your blog and i find it very useful. Btw that workout seems to be hard. it is not easy to lay on your back, lift your legs 90 degree and than doing crunches. Talking about the shake, i have never tried blueberry shake but i think i would try now. thank you for this great post.

  15. I workout and the new move was insane! I couldn’t do it. I tried really hard.

  16. Oh my gosh, I seriously can’t wait to try this out! Thank you so much for sharing! Since I injured my shoulder I’ve been really bummed out and not done much exercise but I think I can do this!
