Congrats on starting your Blogilates August Workout Calendar with a BANG!! Saw so many of you posting with your calendar selfies. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, go here.

Did you get a chance to preview your new Monday workout? It’s POP Pilates for Beginners: Slim ‘n Sculpt. I thought it was a good time to bring it back to basics. But basics doesn’t necessarily mean easier. It means PROPER FORM. So actually, you may discover why some of my moves feel “too easy” or why you “don’t feel it in the right places.” I highly encourage you to watch this video above to get a refresh on the foundation of your POP Pilates practice!

Did you see the Ronda Rousey vs. Bethe Correia fight? Well even if you didn’t tune in to watch, there’s no doubt that you probably caught the buzz on social media this morning! I made this image above for Instagram and it seemed to strike a chord with many people. It even started trending on Instagram under #RondaRousy with over 41,000 likes and now on Facebook, it has over 200,000 likes and 75,000 shares! Literal craziness.

So I want to share with you the caption I wrote along with the photo:

I’m not one to watch fights, but this morning I couldn’t ignore all the buzz around #RondaRousey‘s fight vs. Bethe Correia who had been trash talking her leading up to the event, making fun of her father’s suicide and implying that Ronda was mentally unstable.
It’s low to attack someone off-court. But it’s even worse to bring your opponent’s family into it! Ronda knocked her out in just 34 seconds.

What I love about Ronda is that she’s showing what it looks like to “fight like a girl.” She also represents a body type that some may criticize for being “too masculine.” But you know what? She offers soooooo much more than her looks (which btw, I think she’s gorgeous)! This is a reminder to all of you that no matter how strong, successful, rich or famous you get, there will ALWAYS be haters. Most likely there will be even more. But don’t listen to them. Keep doing your thing. Keep being you. That’s how you’ll end up on top.

Love seeing strong, powerful women! Whether that’s in business, in sports, or whatever…I love supporting other female powerhouses. It’s so inspiring to see so much positive press around women.

    I have been aware of your website and I have done your calendar workouts off and on for the past year. I always seem to give up on your workouts. at one point I did a whole monthly calendar. I see results while doing your workouts, I just feel like I am never good enough to do all of them like the calendar says. I just feel that I am unmotivated to workout because the only time I have during the day is early in the morning and I just cant get enough motivation. Cassey, do you have any tips to keep motivation in my life? I am tired of staying the same size when I know I have the potential to be fit and healthy. Thank you for all you do!

    I felt so unmotivated yesterday for the gym and thought of you and your site. I gave your video a go and loved that it went back to basics! I started following you back in 09′ and as a nutritionist I always recommend my clients to visit your site and follow your workouts for when they don’t have time to go to exercise. I get so much great feedback! You do so many amazing things, I’m so happy you’ve found so much success!     I want to be silent in a loud way! Meaning I want to be confident and show it to the world.
    It’s been a long time, Cassey, since I’ve been here, watched your videos or read inspirational quotes you post on tumblr/instagram. I have to say: I missed it.
    I’ve been ill quite some time and my body is tired. Today, after my doctors visit, I made a decision, that will probably change part of my life again. Three years ago I started taking the pill cause I got a boyfriend and still have him. Back then I hated the thought of it and I still don’t like it mostly because it gives me pain on my period and it maybe is also a factor that I’m more depressed and have mood swings. But also it gave me regularity and security which I will miss, I know that for sure.
    I’m scared to let go but also looking forward to it. I know I can always start it again but for now I will stop it. My doctor said my body isn’t doing well with these extra hormons and I know it needs to heal for real and not just 70% like it is now, three months after hospital at worst state I experienced so far.
    I know pilates and yoga and you with your positive attitude will be a helpful guide on my new journey 🙂 I wish everyone who starts from anew good luck in everything you do and will do.

    This is the first month I’ve tried your workout calendar and I thought I would go with the classic one for the more advanced considering that I’ve been actively fit this year, but I’m starting to notice the pain on my hips!! Is there anyway I can fix that?? Should I slow down and focus on my posture? and if I do that will I still get the same workout??

    I just did my first video with you last week…I did 1,000 squats! I still can’t believe it LOL! I thought I’d try it and make it to like 50, but I did the whole thing. It was an awesome video and I was sore and could barely walk for 2 days, but it was worth it. I mean, who can say they’ve done a thousand squats? LOL

  31. It’s so easy to forget sometimes, but it’s true. When you keep your head down and work, and let the other people make the noise, your actions speak for themselves and you most often come out ahead! This is a great reminder not to get dragged into the trash talking and gossiping, in any situ in life 🙂

    Kudos to you Cassey for how well you deal with being in the public eye too!!
