Hey guys!!

Happy Thursday! I’ve been so obsessed with looking at your Instagram posts for #thestretchproject! Wow, you guys look so spectacular! Today is day 4 and the stretch is the Child’s Pose. Take a look!

Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 1.17.53 PM

I literally check Insta a million times a day because I love seeing how INTO IT you guys are! I also think it’s so cute how many “popster”, “pop”, and “blogilates” accounts you guys have! It’s so easy to spot a fellow POPster 🙂 And! Beyond it all…the amount of support you guys give each other in terms of commenting, liking, and following each other is just phenomenal. You are true gems.

#thestretchproject

Day 5 teaser is going to be a little more difficult, so if you can’t straighten your legs, do a half boat pose like below. Try to hold for at least 30 sec.

Full length side view of a toned young woman doing the boat pose in fitness studio

Teaser modification.

Doing this 30 day stretch challenge is already making me more flexible. Not only because I have “orders” to do them each day…but because the amount of time it takes to get a good photo out of the pose, makes me hold it for even longer! Anyone else feel this way?! Haha it is hilarious, but I end up stretching for way longer than I normally would!

Also, here is your new video of the week! It is your Swimsuit Slimdown! It’s only 8 min long…but it is killer!!

Hope you are having a beautiful week so far! How are you feeling?

Hi! I’ve been following Blogilates for a while now and am in love with it! I have noticed a difference in my legs and a little more muscle in my arms. However, I’m not really losing any weight, especially in my stomach, back and arms. I’m just gaining muscle, which is great, but my jeans don’t fit my thighs anymore haha! I feel like we need more cardio for stomach fat loss too, but not a bunch of burpees. I have arthritis and get light headed after bending over and jumping around a lot.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

    1. Kim says:

Make sure you are eating clean as well. You can do cardio, if you remember she has a lot of them from way way back when. You can also YT search for low impact cardio workouts, or just get outside and walk or run. Now that you are toned up, diet and cardio will slim you down.

  9. Brittney says:

Next month you should do a squat challenge!! Last month I did the challenge that slowly works up to 250 squats by the end of the month but it would be really cool if you made one using all different types of squats!! Just a suggestion for another monthly challenge!

  10. I have so much I want to talk to you about I hope you really do read all of these. 😀 personally. Okay so I have a freind a friend I’ve had basically all my life and she ended up in a mental instatution struggling with some mental issues bipolar etc. And there are obviously a lot of other people there dealing with mental health issues I thought they could really benefit from getting physical having your positive influence and watching your videos I know you lifted my spirit when I was going through sad times but they get cut off from everything but meds and eachother with limited phone access. I know you know people from med school. Wouldn’t they agree some positive influence and physical activity do everyone good? The book is awesome but its your peppy spirit that makes all the difference. What do you think? I thought blogilates was life changing not to be dramatic. But why do we cutt off positive influence and assume medication is the only cure wouldn’t physical fitness do everyone good in any situation? I’d love to hear your opinion on it… PS I think you should have a line of your protein balls 😀 maybe I could market them for you if I had your blessing…

I believe stretching is all I do lately… I didn’t get a chance to workout in May and my health is just getting better now. I miss it so much 🙁 I’m watching your videos and hoping I will be able to get back to it soon.
Thanks to a mosquito bite second week of May. my hand was swollen and I had to take antibiotic to prevent a sepsis. Last week I got the bill for doing so. I found myself in hospital being mere a shadow of myself, isolated from others to not infect them and alone. I was so so glad to have my phone so I could listen to your videos and your motivational quotes and to have contact with a friend whom I thought I’d never see again. Can you believe that five years can pass and you meet again and it feels like these years never happened? I missed her so much and she did as well. I am thankful for having her back in my life and thankful for having you in my life too, Cassey. 🙂
I can’t tell you how happy I was to be back home and hug my cat. I was crying so hard because I felt so lost and alone in hospital. I’m still not strong enough to work out and I’m not allowed to go to university yet, but it’s getting better every day.
Thank you for being part of my life!
    love Kathy

  12. Rose says:

Omg that workout is short but super intense. Loving every minute though. I can’t believe I actually got through it! Thanks solo much Cassey. Love Rose

  13. Amanda says:

I agree it does make you hold the stretch so much longer!! Teaser is going to be a hard one considering I can only hold for about 10 seconds haha! I’m going to give it a shot and push myself 🙂 Loooooving this challenge!!

  14. Carys says:

Hi Cassey! Thank you so much for creating this, I’ve learnt some great new ways to stretch! I can already feel that my back will be getting a great workout from these:) I spent yesterday afternoon trying them all out in my garden, and posted the photos on my blog, as I don’t have Instagram. I’d love it if you could take a quick look at the link below!! Thanks again! <3

Hello Cassey! This challenge is reaaaaally great for flexibility and balance! I use some of these poses in my dance class (for my students) and talk about the challenge, they told me they maybe will look at this, they are interested! You have a lot of fans in France! 😉
I hope you will make other challenges for july, august… every month!! it motives me so much! I do a lot of sport every week because of my activity (dance teacher) but you are the only one who make me wake up in the morning and make me happy and curious to do pilates-yoga-fitness! Thank you very very much!!

  17. Jennifer says:

Cassey I love the 30 day challenge! I also made a instagram account dedicaded to blogilates, and I never taught I would get so much support! I love this beautiful community.

    I love you! xx

  18. Ally says:

So happy you are going to do modifications! I am scared of the splits! I am practicing and hopefully one day, but i don’t think it will happen by the 20th tbh 😛 Also, this is a really great challenge and everyone has been so supportive! It’s been a great experience so far! Thank you x

  19. Ruth Rivera says:

Same hahaha and the effort to get a good photo multiple times makes me stronger and stronger

  20. Madison says:

Hey Cassey! I’m not really sure how to contact you directly, but I did find this forum and hope you get a chance to read this. I apologize for this being personal and posted on a public page, but hopefully others will benefit as well? I just started your beginner 30 day calendar and am really excited to continue! I already feel sore and also feel energized. I do have some questions about the foods I should be eating. I work at a Barbeque restaurant most days, and almost all day and the chances of eating a healthy meal are slim, (i’ve had the one salad we sell tooooo many times and i can no longer tolerate it, and the vegetables are cooked with pork fat), its hard to bring my meals and sometimes I’m so busy or drink so much water and coffee that I don’t even feel hungry until i get home late at night, where I do NOT want to make my own meal, and decide to eat processed foods. In August I will be returning to college, I am nervous about gaining more weight when I return (I gained the freshman 15) and am wondering what the best way to handle my food intake and diet is, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and weight when i return to school. Thank you! and can’t wait for tomorrows video!!! 🙂

  21. inspiredblogilates says:

I completely understand about the photo taking part! It takes so long to take a decent photo of the poses that I’m probably in the poses for about two minutes total, haha. ;P It’s good, though!!! ❤️

  22. Cassie Tran says:

Some of these positions look so scary!! But I can’t wait to try them!

  23. marchelle says:

Loving everything you’re doing. I’m just starting my journey here and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started things and then stopped. You make me want to workout and be silly and be the best me I can for myself and my husband and daughter. So thank you Cassie!!! You are amazing.

  24. The up up down downs are by far the hardest!

  25. Samantha says:

Cassey!! I love your videos and upbeat personality so much!! The June Calendar is so much fun and I’m already so sore I can’t even sneeze walk down stairs without looking like a zombie. Love it! Thanks for all you do!

  26. Arielle says:

Hi Cassey! I love these 30 day challenges! I was thinking maybe the next one could be focused on calves. God bless you!
