  1. Kaia says:

Hey, I am a model and I have unwanted/bulky muscle on my legs which I need to trim ASAP as a fashion show is coming up. Hence, I was wondering if this workout plan would be suitable for me to follow (would it lengthen and cut the bulk I have on my legs/ would it contribute to building muscle even more). If the plan is suitable, would I need to follow a specific dietary plan? Thank you, Kaia.

    1. Yeye says:

I feel you do these workouts long term, they will indeed build muscle. So maybe not your best option. However, if they’re pretty short term, they of course will burn fat, just not that much. I suggest looking elsewhere.

    2. jon says:

why would you want to reduce muscle? it’s not only healthy but better looking.

  2. claire keown says:

Hi, I’m Claire and I’m 30. I just started the beginners videos. I would like to speak to somebody around my age or a little older about how their joints felt, especially around the shoulders. It’s very difficult to get the technique right when you are only starting and have weak joints and muscles. This is why I’m appealing to my age group as I did not have these issues in my early twenties. Any advice or success stories in this age group?

    1. Regie says:

I am 42, finished my beginning calendar 2 month ago and now doing Blogilates calendar everyday, I also walk at min of 3 miles a day, my joints did sore a bit in the beginning now I am taking one a day women, it helps a lot, I also drink a lot of waters less soda less caffeine, no cans or frozen foods , every meals are fresh made, I don’t feel any soreness anymore but I do feel stronger, no diet or anything I still eat carb, meat and chips, good luck

    2. Ioana Grigore says:

Hi, Claire! Had the same problems when I started the beginner’s workout plan, but by the end of it things got really easy and I could do the normal workouts and keep up with Cassey with no problem. The idea is to take breaks and don’t push it if it hurts too bad that day, change the exercise to another body part or just skip the part that hurts you. It is normal to hurt a bit, especially if you had a sedentary life like I did, all of my joints would make cracking sounds. But with patience, and care you can do this. Also if it’s still to much to handle I suggest going to a physician. Best of luck!

  3. Starlight00001 says:

I’m 15 and I weigh around 180 lbs/ a bit over 80 kg. I am on the day two of the beginner calendar. Should you do every video once or like repeat them? I am very scared I will fail to do this or just not have time because of school, help!

    1. Lucy says:

Hi! Just wanted to let you know you can do this! I am in school too and I know how you feel. SAT’s, classes, acne, fat thighs…. It makes me very uncomfortable at school to have a body like that. So I just want to tell you to hang in there! You can do this!!

  4. Lindsay says:

I’ve just started with the beginners 2.0. I’m under-weight (119), and I feel weak and I always wanted to tone my body a bit. While I am upset at my weight, I’m more concerned on my overall strength. It’s day one and I already feel better. While I’m only 14 going on 15 this summer, I’m excited to start doing more of these workouts. Track is also coming up toon, and this is a great way to get me in shape, so when we do our stretches and exercises I don’t just wait half way like I used to do when I was younger. I feel the this will help push meta be the me I always want to be, which does involve eating. I am a very VERY picky eater, and that is hat made me underweight. I don’t try it’s just hard. I’m working on eating more, and with pilates I can get more muscles on my body!

  5. Michelle Duong says:

Hi guys! I’m almost 15 and I’m about 140-150 lbs. I know, terrible. I’ve been doing POP Pilates since October, 2016 and I’m seeing changes to my body that I love! It’s kind of strange though, how I’m smaller, but rounder at the same time. How does that work? My question though, is about the meal plan. My family does not want the hassle of preparing different food for me (even if I offer to do it myself). It’s because this should be a lifestyle, not a diet that I have to follow for the rest of my life. I think most Asian foods are pretty healthy anyway… But I really want to change! Please help!!

    1. Melissa says:

I had the exact same issue with my family. I started small by getting them to shift to different oil, baking something instead of frying etc. – little changes that are easy to adjust to. Then I started to make an extra vegetable dish to go with the dinner they cooked for everyone to share. Try cooking your healthy meals for everyone, not just yourself, so they don’t have to do a thing. Maybe find healthy versions of things they already eat? If you do cook something make sure you clean up any mess you’ve made, including all dishes. Remember never to tell them their meals are unhealthy because they may become defensive and put up more resistance. Just say that you want to be the best (and healthiest) version of yourself and their support would mean a lot.

Doing it like this does mean that your progress will be slower, but taking it slow in the beginning makes it easier for everyone to adjust in the long run. Good luck and don’t lose motivation, you’re doing great!

  6. Alicia Neal says:

Hey guys! I’m 19, 285lbs and on the path to making a better life for myself! I’m on day 2 of the beginners calendar, and I’m finding I can only do like 2/3rds of the video all the way through. Sometimes only half! ? I’m persistent and will push through, even though I can’t do all of it, and have to rest quite often, but do you guys have any advice for staying motivated? I’m really wanting to stay on track and not get discouraged!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. MARYAM says:

That is completely normal for beginners and it is already something to be proud of! Just tell yourself that you want to get there, then take the action and before you know it you will have reached your goals. I believe in you and so does the whole blogilates fam! It is all about determination, i suggest you start an instagram or take photos and that will push you to want to improve more. Lets take it one step at a time 🙂 good luck alicia :

      1. Alicia Neal says:

Thank you Maryam! That definitely lifted my spirits! Thats good to know that the slow start is normal, I was beginning to feel I wasn’t strong enough to do blogilates at all!
I’ll keep posting, and will keep at it!! Thank you again for the motivation! You’re awesome!

    2. Briar says:

I started exercising pretty early so thankfully I’ve never been overweight, but I’m a firefighter so fitness has always been crucial to my job, health, and safety. When I joined the “force”, as a woman I often fell behind my fellow male firefighters during PE. So on my own time, I worked out extra to make up for the difference and hopefully get stronger. It was very hard sometimes to stay motivated, so I made myself a “fitness” binder where I printed out cut-outs of really fit women, put pictures of my family that I wanted to stay safe for, and even put pictures of my crew to encourage to me to get stronger so I never failed them when it mattered. My advice to you is to make a binder or a notebook where you keep pictures and motivational blips so whenever you are feeling lazy, just look in it and remind yourself what you’re fighting for.

    3. Shawna says:

I’m curious to hear – 2 months later – how you’re doing now!

  7. QuirkyNightOwl says:

I am 16 and currently doing the beginners 2.0 workouts and I just finished day 5. I was wondering how long I should be doing the exercises. I am usually not sweating or out of breath by the end of the videos and I do them back to back.

    1. Megan Zina says:

Hey! I’m 15 and I started that same workout as you. I had to do the second week again because I didin’t do the videos every day… so I lost a week but it’s okay. You have to do 4 weeks following the beginners 2.o workout calendar. It’s okay if your not sweating, this is just the beginning. You should do the other 3 weeks now and you’ll maybe sweat on the last week or maybe not, it doesn’t matter. Check if your doing the exercises right for the next 3 weeks and when your done, you can do the monthly workout plan. You problably will sweat and be out of breath on the end of those videos 🙂 Just relax and control yourself and you’ll be okay.

      1. Emerald says:

Should I be running while doing the beginners 2.0?? I’m planning to run once a week but I don’t want to get too toned legs. Any advice?

        1. Amanda 😜 says:

Just do it, girl! Running is great for cardio as well as strength in your legs and maybe your abs as well- plus, your legs will look great! Don’t worry, your quads won’t get super duper big!

  8. tutu says:

    how i started???

  9. Lauren says:

Hi I’m 5’3 and 130 lbs. I used to weigh 120 but I after I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism I gained weight :/ I eat extremely healthy (no sugar, simple carbs, junk food, etc.) plus I work out almost everyday. I’m 15 years old and I don’t know what to do anymore. Can someone please help me! I feel so uncomfortable at this weight!!

    1. Annette Davenport says:

Hi hun I’m dealing with the same condition as you for 3 years now and gained crazy amount of weight my Dr didn’t do much for me until I found another Dr and he’s helped me out alot I’m now on meds for it and lost 23 pounds in 2 months… don’t feel discouraged and down about yourself it will only make matters worse for you and you might slip into depression as I did cause I couldn’t stand how I was looking and I did everything I could to help me but nothing worked I thought I was doomed and that I would just continue gaining weight but that wasn’t the case… find a good Dr and get treatment everything will be alright… best wishes ?

      1. Lauren says:

Thank you so much!! This definitely helped me a bunch! I’m so happy for you, hopefully I will follow in your footsteps! I have been feeling much more motivated this week and I have actually lost a few pounds!!!!

    2. Shannon McLain says:

I highly recommend checking out Fit Rocker Chick on FB! Yes she is a Beachbody Coach, but a highly knowledgeable one about hypothyroidism and how to treat it naturally! You can always include any type of workouts, no pressure for Beachbody. (I am not a coach, I just follow coaches for encouragement.)

  10. Esther Chua says:

    Dear Cassey,

    I’m 15 years old and 112lbs right now…
Now is almost the end of October. I would like to lose 12lbs within 2 months.
What kind of workout I should try…
I have big thighs , bulky calves , fat arms and a tummy full with fats.
I need help to get rid all of this

    1. Cheyenne says:

      Esther,

Losing that much weight that quickly usually isn’t healthy and definitely not easy, but if you want to make that your goal, go for it! If you feel you have too much adipose tissue, cardio and a better diet will do wonders to improve that for you.

  11. PH says:

I am looking at all of this and have started the “Blogilates” – I do not see where there is anyone over 25 here. Are there success stories for women in their 30’s and 40’s?

    1. Michaela (Czech republic) says:

I am 31 🙂 Before Blogilates I did workouts with Jillian, Bob Harper, Rushfit and Insanity and now I absolutely love these Blogilates workouts. Blogilates workouts look easier than other but they aren’t easy and my body hurts next day. With Blogilates I don’t feel overtrain anymore and after 3 weeks I see first results.

  12. Winda says:

Hello ☺ my name is winda. I’m already fat since i 5 years old. Now i am 17 and be 18 on october. I wanna lost 30 kg until desember 2015. What should i do? Can you please guide me? Can you please help me guys? It’s make me so nervous ????

    1. Lily says:

      Dear Winda,

I know how you feel, luckily Cassey Ho posts a workout calendar and meal plan each month. If you follow both those you will definitely feel and see the change. You can find the calendar by signing up for her newsletter where she will send you the password to the calendar. I have seen major changes thanks to her workouts and meal plans so don’t worry, if you really stick to it I promise you will look and feel better. Hope this helps,
      Lily

  13. Grisel says:

Can I just ask something to these girls? Be honest with me: where you hungry while you lost weight? I feel like every time I want to start a diet, I’m hungry. I’m always so hungry haha

    1. Grace says:

I totally feel ya girl! I recommend cassias mini meal plan because it really works and I was not hungry once while on it

    2. maddie says:

It’s not about eating less, it’s about eating better! 🙂 When you fill yourself up on a big salad with a baguette + ham/white fish it seriously is more filling than a big plate of chips(fries) and chicken nuggets! 😀

    3. Carla says:

I’ll be real with you: there’s been a billion times on my weight loss journey that I’ve felt hungry but that was just the amount of calories I could eat for the day. It’s definitely going to happen, but you don’t have to be scared of it; just chew some gum, sip some water, and soon enough it will go away. As long as you aren’t starving yourself or eating your daily calories’ worth in chocolate or some other calorie-dense food, you’ll be alright. I’ve lost around 40 lbs so far since January and even though there were moments that I just really, really wanted to have that extra piece of bread or rice or what have you, I stopped. You can’t feel the happiness that extra bread gives you in 1 week, but you can definitely see the change in your body from sticking to your goals. 🙂

  14. Najwa sultan says:

  15. Trina says:

ummm i was just going through Kaylee’s instagram and she had gastric bypass surgery…but you didn’t mention that above?
    🙁

    1. Elyse says:

Hey there! I can understand not wanting to be deceived by how she obtained her weight loss. I woukd hope that it was just an oversight…That being said, my best friend had the gastric sleeve surgery in 2011 and to this day, she works very hard at maintaining a proper diet and exercise. Make sure you still applaud their efforts, because the surgery isn’t the cure, it’s the kick starter… The energy and focus of a balanced diet and exercise is really what gets them through their weight loss/emotional journey.

  16. Pai says:

    Hi Cassie!

I was always chubby as a kid. When I was 12, I weighted 135 pounds!!! Luckily, with the support of my parents, they helped me plan out a healthy diet and I eventually loose all the weights. I am now 18 and weight the same as I do when I was 12!! Only I am 5ft 7 now. However when I was younger, my arms and legs are always small and I had a huge beer belly a TRIPLE chin. I am still trying to loose that last bit of belly fat so that my abs will show even more. Thank you so much for all the fun song challenges and workouts. You keep all the BURNNNING exercises very very fun. I love you so much!

    Pai

    1. Aubrey says:

Hi Pat my names Aubrey I am 13 and I have a beers belly I am trying to get rid of can you help me tell me what workout you followed

      1. Chamelle says:

Maybe you can do the monthly calendars. Its fun to do!

  17. madeline says:

Hi. I’m 15 years old, and I’m working hard to lose weight. My mom lost about 100 pounds in only 6 months, but she has a whole bunch of extra flabby skin. I want to know how I can avoid that..

    1. Ashlee says:

I would suggest lifting weights and getting toned. Im 15 years old as well and im on this challenging journey too, so i wish u good luck!

    2. Labrini says:

you’re 15 and you’re not going to get that extra skin because thy body still grows. Your mom is old and need to do something else to get rid of the extra skin but your body is able to “absorb” it.

  18. Shweta K R says:

    Dear Cassey,
You are an inspiration! Couple of my friends told me about blogilates and I googled it a fortnight ago and since then I’ve been hooked. Though I’m not obese, I’m not slim either. I’ve been plump most of my life without any paunch.
I work in advertising sector and that leaves me with little or rather no time to myself…add to this, I recently got married, resulting in paunch and significant weight gain. I made decision and charted out time for myself and started “blogilating” 🙂
Will surely send one’ before-and-after’ soon.
Many congratulations to you and cheers to you!
    Thanks and best regards,
    Shweta

  19. Larissa A. R says:

You are such an inspiration to me, This makes me push myself harder into working out, because I know with effort, constancy and determination you can achieve your weight goals. Change your life to a healthy lifestyle! Make it yours! Thanks for the inspiration! You totally raise my hopes up and keep me follow working hard!

  20. tamara (tami) says:

I just found this site THIS VERY EVENING after working 3 hrs of OT. I’ve been going to the gym for a month and have seen NO results 🙁 However, I am here, plan to begin the beginner work out calendar in the morning am SO inspired. I see women bigger than me (Im 5’10” 176 lbs) with more than I have and think, “if they can, I can too!” Im off and running …thank you all for your bravery of pics and words of inspiration. 😀

  21. Selena says:

Many of these girls look way too thin after the transformation.

    1. clover says:

      They look HEALTHY.

    2. Athena says:

You are on a website full of positivity and health. Why must you criticize? These girls worked hard to get where they are. They look amazing.

    3. Aisha says:

Actually they look healthy! And the transformations were all astounding!

  22. Victoria Dettra says:

Are the larger girls really true? I have no exercise background and am heavy like them. I didn’t used to be, but I got married and moved to the suburbs and gained 100lbs. Can I do this program? So many times these programs are based on already being fit and just wanting to get better, and when I try them I find I just can’t do what the program shows. But they are (were) in the same shape I am, so if their stories are true, then I can do it too – I am starting where they did.

    1. Courtney says:

I would think that yes, the larger girls are all really true! Everyone starts from somewhere. You already have the right mindset – you want to get better. I find that when I work out, I get to a point and then my brain tells me that “it’s too hard” or that “I’m too tired” or that “I just can’t do it”. You need to silence this voice – your body is capable of doing so much more, but you get to your comfort zone and your brain says “ok, that’s enough working out for now” when you can go another 10 rounds! Just silence the voice and tell yourself “yes, I am getting tired, but I can still do one more set or I can do five more pushups”. You will not see results if you don’t push yourself. You will not see results if you stay in your comfort zone. You just gotta push yourself – it’s hard, it sucks, but the end results are so worth it! Be strong!

    2. Aubrey says:

I’m hoping they’re true because I started with the thigh workout today, thanks to a you tube search. I am 196 (down from 222, my heaviest), with a goal of 142. Some of the moves make my knees and ankles hurt but I modified a bit and pushed through. I love Cassey’s encouragement to focus on clean eating and believe that if I work at it, day by day it’ll get easier and the pain will go away. I know the pain is from too much weight on my joints and nerves so it is all the more important to stay the course and get my body in shape. Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” God bless you in your fitness journey as well!

  23. Daisybelle Puig says:

how long would it takes to be able to see the tranformation of your body?

    1. Madison says:

Honestly, it really depends. It’s especially hard to see changes in yourself though because you’re seeing your body every day. Take some ‘before and after’ photos yourslef and you’re sure to notice a difference

  24. Will says:

The people on here who’ve worked so hard to get the look they’re aiming for have a lot to be proud of, they’re an inspiration! ^^

  25. Ola says:

I’m new to the blogilates community and I’ve started the beginners workout calendar today. I finished day 1 and although i felt the burn during the entire workout and really felt my muscles working, especially in my legs. even though I am a little soar and probably will be soar tomorrow, it didn’t make me sweat or tire me out like other work outs do. Im not sure if this is just because Its pilates and it’s not meant to make you sweat or Its just not difficult enough for me. Any advice?

  26. christai says:

You guys are such an inspiration. Can’t wait to get fit like you. ;D

  27. Nikita says:

i just started out my journey. i try to eat healthy and replace carbs for veggies or fruit. i don’t eat fruit after 2 pm and i just finished the beginners workout. i feel soooooooo good and proud of myself after this and i’ve been feeling more energized lately. thank you so much cassey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

  28. Min says:

hi, i am a beginner !!! and I was wondering that how much I need to spend time for working out? I mean pop pilates!!!! I am doing it like less than 30 mins, i sweat and its hard for me
but i really want to know how much you guys spend time for pop pilates?!!!
I really want to lose my weight and cut my appetite!!!

    1. Andrea says:

I’ve been doing her workout for a month, and i can already feel my body feeling better, you should start by something like 30 min per day , keep going, if you feel it, if it hurt, it mean you’re doing it right and you’ll have result, but you’ll see REAL and VISIBLE result after something like 2 or 3 month.
Don’t forget: you can’t cut your appetite, but you can reduce it by eating a little less and healthy food and drink water, look at her recipes’s video there really good !
Have a nice day and don’t give up ! 🙂

  29. dariana says:

omg!!!!!!!! i am so enspired now i could not believe you could lose that much weight

  30. Pauliina S says:

Sometimes i wish i could do my own story about journey of the life change. But i’m not overweight and i do eat healty most of the day (well now is christmas so gingerbread are my little treat ;3). I only have a little bellyfat and cellulite tights. My story might not be so mind blowing but i adore you Cassey and thank you for being part of my life. You allways make my day little better when i’m bored. <3

Oh and one thing, i started to do split workout with your "9 steps to doing the splits!" video. Last time i did split was eight years ago! Have a beautiful christmas Cassey! xoxo<3

    1. Sandy says:

Every story of success is worth sharing. It’s the little things in life that make a difference and bring happiness.

      1. Anne-Lies says:

        I totally agree!

This is pretty amazing! This really inspired me a lot, and going to make me try harder! I’ve already started the beginners work out, and trying to cut out as much carbs and sugar out my diet. Maybe thinking about going gluten free again.

I’m in the process of trying to lose weight, but it seems that each time the new school year starts, I gain it back due to eating out of stress. Any tips on how to stop emotional eating? Also, how to fit in workout routines into a busy schedule. Much love xoxo

    1. Bidur says:

      Hi Leah!
I am a student and i have a really busy schedule in school and also in my free time. I have a lot of exams and homeworks. So sometimes after school i feel stress and i feel very tired. I have that emotional eating sometimes, especially after school. So what i do is that if i eat a snack for instance a chocolate bar or some chips i replace that with sweet fruits and a lots of water. Fruits have good carbohydrates that will make you full. If you feel sometimes that you eat for your emotian, you can talk tou your friends or keep a journey where you can write what you feel. i hope those tips helps you
      sincerely,
      Bidur :))))

Hi! I sometimes have thst problem too. Try to do something for yourself. Paint your nails or take a nice bath, take a walk, read a book, reorganize something (e.g. your desk)….

So I’m in my junior year of college and trust me it is stressful !
What I do is wake up early. I wake up around 630am and get straight into my POP routine. I also add in challenges; like right now, I’ve added in the 28 day squat challenge and 28 day oblique challenge. After that, I have a protein shake and a small protein-packed breakfast. I shower and get ready for classes. This makes me super energized and makes me more productive throughout my day. I end up managing my time better and getting everything done so that I can get to bed at a decent hour, like 10pm, so I can wake up early again. I found this to be the best for me because I am involved in a lot of clubs. I also found that when I’ve already worked out, I consciously think of what I feed myself throughout the day which helps me curb cravings. Find a time that fits best with you and just really try to manage your time 🙂
      Hope this helps !

Hey, I’m from Indonesia. I have an insecurities about my body.. I’m 5’3 and i weigh 148 lbs, but i was 114 lbs in the last 2,5 years.. now i have a very big thighs and fats all over my body. it makes me sad, and just not comfortable to wear anything. its hard for me to hangout with guys, because i feel like i’m just not beautiful enough. 🙁 but when i found out about this website, i feel very motivated to join on your diet plan or the routines that you have. I used to weigh 180 and now I weigh 133 and I’m 5’8 and 17 years old. I know that it’s a healthy weight for my height, but I would like to have a toned body. I like how much weight I’ve lost in the past 6 months! The only thing I am worried about, and it’s going to sound really silly because I know it’s not that important, but it is to me, is my breast size. I lost almost 50 pounds and went from a 36D to a 34D and if I were to lose anymore weight, I’m afraid that I will lose another cup size. I’m at a point that I’m just becoming comfortable with my body but I’m not comfortable enough where I’d like to be.

    1. Bryna says:

The thing is though, as your body slims down, naturally it won’t matter what size you are, they’ll pop out as the rest of your body slim’s down. If you’re really worried about it though, try building muscle underneath them. It makes them look fuller and perkier.

  38. Kirilee says:

    Hi Cassey,
I really want to make a change in my lifestyle, weight, mental health and most importantly my body health.
That may sound odd to you that I want to improve my ‘body health’. What I mean by body health is that I am injury prone to the max! I mean I kneel down on the ground and bam, I dislocate my knee caps (yes, both). I walk on flat solid ground and woops I roll my ankle and tear a few ligaments. I’ve only ever broken one bone in my body, its just so happens that its basically the worst bone to break. My L5 vertebrae.
I would really like some advice for diet, exercise and mental health management/improvement.
I am always recovering from some sort of injury and I want to break the cycle and get on with being the healthy, happy person I can be.
    Please help!

Hello girlie!! My name is Sarah I’m 16 and 5″9 and 205 pounds. I am technically obese. I just continue to gain weight 10 pounds dry year. It doesn’t matter id I actually dont look horrible because I play sports and have muscle from sports, I just don’t feel confident at all. I think a big problem for me is I’m a major stressor and don’t feel comfortable in my own skin. I want to lose weight so badly!! It just seems that even major stressor if I eat clean and workout I lose like a pound or 2 every week or two weeks. I’m just wondering if this calendar will work for me?? Any inputs?

  40. Angel says:

    Hey girls,
I would love to start exercising on a daily basis but I’m really worried about doing so due to the gain of stretch marks/cellulite. Any tips/ideas on where to start?

    1. CB says:

Angel, why do you think that daily exercise will result in a “gain of stretch marks/cellulite”? Exercise doesn’t create either! I don’t know about stretch marks but I definitely notice a huge change in cellulite when I cut sugar out of my diet and I drink a TON of water. That, and daily exercise all make it better for me. Eat clean overall! Do you work out at all now?

  41. Catherine says:

Hi everyone! I have a quick question:
Just some background information.. I am 16 years old, 5 feet 3 inches and weigh about 130 lbs. This past year I know that I’ve been gaining a lot of weight. These last few months I’ve been gaining 5-10+ lbs, and I’ve lost confidence in my body as I have become chubby. I just haven’t had the motivation to start again with Cassey’s workout calender. My goal is to weight 110 by the end of the year. Today, I started using the workout calender and by just following calender again, I already feel a lot better about myself already.
I was wondering, are we suppose to do extra exercises such as cardio, etc. in addition to already following the workout calender? Is it okay to just follow the workout calender, or are you doing extra exercise building off of the calender? By the way, I’m trying to eat clean now and I’ve been recording what I’ve been eating as well. I’m just not sure if following the workout calender each day is enough or are you doing more?

    1. Leigh says:

Hey Catherine! What I usually do is start with one of Cassey’s cardio warm ups and do a stretching video too, then I do the scheduled video and then do another cardio video because I was actually trying to lose weight. Her videos are great for toning and such but doing cardio is the most effective way to lose weight if that’s your goal. I’m seventeen and I lost over 20 pounds that way in no time! And I’m 5’3″ too so you probably see that’s a lot for a shorter girl 🙂

  42. Elena says:

    Hello everbody, I have a question :

Actually, I’m nineteen years old, my height is 158cm and I weight 56-57 kg. My goal is to weight about 50 kg. I’m not fat but I’m really chubby and I want to be slimmer.
My problem is that I want to start the workout calendars of Cassey every months while eating clean, but I’m afraid to GAIN weight by gaining muscles… I heard that cardio makes you loose weight.
I don’t know how people who lost weight with blogilates did it. Did they do just cardio or the whole program of the workout calendars ? Should I just do cardio or can I start the calendars without worrying about gaining weight ? I’m afraid to be larger, because I loose weight very very very slowly.

Thank you so much, please reply !

    Elena

    1. Emily says:

      Elena,

Start the calendars without worrying about gaining weight! Building muscle is great! I would recommend ignoring the number on the scale, because the chances that may go up as you build muscle (depending on how much fat you have to lose) but if you stick to the program you will see your measurements go down! For example, over the last month for me I didn’t really lose that much weight but I had lost two inches off my thighs and an inch round my waist – so you will be getting smaller!

Also, muscle burns more calories at rest than fat – so the more lean body mass you have, the more calories you will burn doing nothing. You mention that you lose weight slowly – this could be an awesome way to boost that?

I believe in a mix between cardio and strength training so if you want to add extra cardio, go for it! I currently run one day and then do pilates/strength training the next, taking one day a week to rest.

Anyway, this comment ended up much longer than I expected but I hope that it helps!

      Emily xx

      1. Elena says:

Thanky you so much for your comment Emily !
Ok, then I guess I should take my measurements and compare every month to see if there’s any progress. And thanks for all the little informations I didn’t know ! Sorry for my bad English by the way, I’m from Switzerland.

        Elena

        1. Pamela says:

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be mean or anything i just hope my comment helps you but how can you be chubby if you’re 1.58 and weight less than 60 kg, i’m 1,53 cm and my goal weight is 55 kg because i’ve been there and i look really good at that weight and i could easily weight much less since i’m short but i dont think i’ll want to. So just keep in mind that you’re not chubby maybe you just need to exercise to get a better body complexion and a couple of kgs taken off but that’s it. Hope this helps, do not maximize the problem, ur beautiful no matter what.

  44. Nicole says:

Good afternoon fellow POPsters! I need a lot of inspiration. I am 13 years old and am disgustingly overweight. I don’t look too, too bad, but I feel personally gross and I want to be healthy. As of this morning, I was 223.4. Just yesterday I was 220.9. I was eating really well yesterday and then it fell apart and I gained almost three whole pounds overnight? That really got me depressed. I’ve been struggling with obesity my whole life and I already decided, in 4th grade, to make a giant change. My eating habits are great. I do The Biggest Loser Challenge on the Wii, Blogilates, a different ab workout, swim practice, tennis clinics, volleyball practice, etc. To sum all of that up, I am VERY active. I do some weight training. I have cardio from swim practice and I get light cardio everyday after dinner because I go on a 30 minute walk. I drink 12-16 cups of water a day, not all at once though. I honestly have no clue on what I could possibly do to make me lose weight, I honestly don’t have a specific goal, (10 pounds in 1 month, etc) but I do have an overall goal of 150 pounds. I am almost 5″8 and my mom told me that I should not be any less than 140 because I am so tall and I am still growing, so I need more food, also because I am very active. As of two weeks and and 3 days I lost 13 pounds…but like I said, I gained nearly 3 pounds overnight. I am sick and tired of being unhealthy and obese and I am 100% committed to try anything that is safe and effective. Please, please, please, please, (if I can’t stress that anymore) give me inspiration and advice with this difficult and frustrating weight loss journey! Thank you so much for reading this whole thing if you have gotten to this point. Please respond! Thanks!
    -Nicole J

    1. Nicole says:

And yesterday I ate great. When I said “it fell apart”, I meant that I gained weight overnight…

    2. ConPanna says:

You shouldn’t lose weight too fast. If you do it’s most likely you lost water weight. I don’t use pounds but my mom says the average you’re supposed to lose as a healthy being is around 2 kg per month. I’m personally overweight almost til the point i’m Obese. My mom’s been constantly nagging about my weight as well. She’s slightly overweight so she’s slimming down in order to push me to get on the same diet as her. She refrains from eating any carbs and she goes on our stationary bike every day for a 20 mn warm up, then she tries to do some walking to work + some dancing on the wii to push me to do some exercise. She’s gone from 80 kg -> 69 kg.

    3. Emma says:

Hi Nicole! It sounds like you are working SO hard… kudos to that! However, it stinks that you are not seeing the results you would like. I’m not a Doctor (and you are still young!), but have you ever thought about getting your thyroid checked? You could possibly have a thryroid problem that is prohibiting your weight loss. If you don’t know what your thyroid is it’s a gland in your neck that regulates hormones that control your weight. You could go and visit your doctor and ask about it. Best of luck!

      1. Grace says:

My advice is that you weigh yourself at the same time every day. Just because the scale says you gained three pounds doesn’t mean you actually gained three pounds overnight. I weighed myself in the morning at 108 pounds and a few hours later I was 114. According to http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art.asp?articlekey=55489, the best time to weigh yourself is in the morning when you haven’t had time to eat or drink large amounts. Another thing is that it may just be your body type. Everyone is made differently, so if you’re naturally tall and strong you should weigh more. If not that, you should watch what you’re eating and how much. Look at Cassey’s video on calorie intake at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUybMyx4KBM. She gives you a formula on how many calories you should be intaking per day, and suggests what you should do to stick to the calorie count. Hope it helps! 🙂

  45. Dawn says:

Hello! I am 18 and have always been a bit of a chubby girl. I have been going running on and off over the past few years but just gave up in the end cos I really hate it. My mum always says running is the most effective way to lose weight but it’s just never really my thing. I found out about blogilates recently and was motivated to get in shape again cos actually enjoy doing the workouts! Plus, summer is coming so I wanna look nice in my bikinis haha! 😛
I know the best way to burn fat is by doing cardio but is running the only way? I wanna know if just eating clean and following the work out calendar would be enough to lose weight effectively? Or can I not escape the fate of running? I’m a bit worried that if I simply do workouts, all my fats would turn into muscles and end up looking very big and muscular instead of slim!
Can anyone give me some advice??
Thank you so much! 🙂 xx

    1. Jasmine says:

      Hi Dawn!
I have knee problems that prevent me from running and I’ve been advised to try cycling and swimming. They’re great ways to incorporate cardio into your routine without having to run and they reduce the stress on your joints. Cassey’s cardio workouts are awesome too so you could do a few back to back and feel your heart rate rocket haha 🙂
It’s very difficult for women to become big and muscular by doing workouts because our bodies aren’t built that way so do not be frightened of working out. It’s a great way to tone up and feel healthy!
I hope it helps! 🙂 xx

    2. Erin says:

Hi! Running isn’t the most effective way to loose weight, there are many other possibilities. Cardio raises your heart rate, thus strengthening your heart and blood vessels. It helps to improve the immune system, decreases stress and anxiety, decreases body fat and makes you feel a lot happier! Cardio is the quickest and most effective way to lose weight.
Cardio is anything that gets your heart rate up and your blood pumping around around your body. For example things like burpees, jumping jacks, inchworm, high knees, skipping, and in-and-out jumps, as well as running increase your heart rate, and can be classed as cardio.
You don’t have to run, I don’t, I simply don’t have the right environment to run in and I have seen weight losses on me. Running is good for weight loss, but you don’t have to do it. Just include some heart rate increasing exercises, that equal to when you run.
In regards of your last question, if you include cardio in your workouts, and not just muscle toning, you will see a difference. Your body will start to tone up and you will start to notice weight losses in your body. Just muscle toning alone will build up your muscles, whilst cardio won’t make your look muscular, it WILL slim you down, so don’t worry! 🙂 By eating clean and following the blogilates calendar, you will see yourself appear slimmer. Just remember that weight loss isn’t something you see happening over night, you have to work and keep at it. If you come to a time where you don’t feel like blogilates or your exercising is doing anything, just remember that we have all been through it! I know its easier said than done, but get up and try again! There was many times where I felt like nothing was working for me, but I got up and carried on and now I’m much happier with my body!
Give it your all when exercising, and don’t give up! I’m on a fitness journey just like you and millions of other people.
Good luck! I’m rooting for you! xx 😀 xx

    3. Andi says:

Hi ya Dawn! Everyone is different, but eating clean and following the calendar would be a GREAT way to start down a path toward a healthier weight. There are lots of different cardio outlets, not just running. Personally, I don’t enjoy running, but I have found that swimming laps gives me the cardio I need. Not a swimmer? You could try the elliptical or exercise videos or really anything that gets your heartbeat going. Good luck girl! Go get ’em!

    4. Taylor says:

Speed walking also works. Sometimes running on a treadmill or running on foot can sometimes be stressful and omg I literally hate it, but I found out that speed walking also works. I would say if you do the blogilates calendar workout and eating clean and speeding walking maybe a few times a week. The fat will slowly burn off (: good luck I believe in you

    5. Danielle says:

      Dawn,
Running is definitely not the only way to get cardio. I started figure skating to lose weight. You get in a lot of cardio without even noticing it. You can also go swimming. If you do laps you’ll be raising your heartbeat A LOT!

I’m new to Blogilates and have been wanted to try Pilates for a long time. Everyone’s transformations look amazing and I am feeling really motivated. I’m 22 years old and 296 pounds. My goal weight is 180 pounds by next June. I have never been at a healthy weight, struggling with obesity since a little girl. I’m scared and nervous and I know going to be hard but I have to at least try. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Pilates and I’m looking forward to starting today

    1. Lisa says:

Do it! Pilates is awesome! I started using it as rehab after i broke my foot in seven places and it worked wonders. Not just to get my foot back into gear again (I now walk without issues and I give pilates alot of the cred for that) but I’m also strong and feel healthier then before. I’m still overweight, 293 lbs, but I am not utterly unhealthy anymore. So do it. With pilates you will see the changes FAST! Belive me. It is hard. No one said it will be easy. There will be times you will want to just lay down and cry and not do anything but try to stay in there. With pilates your posture will get sooo much better, and when we stand tall we feel proud, and when we feel proud it is easier to make healthier choises, and when we make healthier choises we loose weight. It is a very positive spiral. 😉 I’m rooting for ya! 😀 <3

I’m a senior at Rutgers and I want to be 175 at my graduation May 2015! I’m pairing this with Hip hop Abs .. ( i downloaded it for free *shhhh*) Cassey is amazing and I love her videos because they’re low impact which I need because of my horrible asthma .

I am 13 and my goal this summer is to hit 110 pounds. I am currently around 127.8 pounds and 5″4. I’m still considered “average” but I’m actually pretty close to being overweight according to my research. I actually have a pretty bloated stomach and so I want to get rid of it.

Starting June I’m going to try blogilates monthly workout and see how it goes. I’m also paying close attention to the foods that I consume.

I do wish everything goes well.

Hello! I have been part of this family for a few months, and I just don’t have the motivation to keep going 🙁 I want to be healthy and thin and such, but it’s just super hard for me. One morning I’m all “let’s hit the gym!” And the next day or two I just lose the motivation and just sleep or play video games all day. I got Cassey’s 12 week journal to keep my progress I got back in March or so of this year, but I just get lazy and don’t write on it and it’s another area I lose motivation to. I gained weight due to stress and panic attacks that I gained 60 pounds in just about a year. I weighed myself today and I am currently 239 pounds. I am 5’7″ and want to be down to 145. I just hate thinking that it would take a year or two to get down to it. Can someone help me get motivated again? Like, what I should do to want to work out and eat healthy? I honestly don’t eat crappy food often. Maybe once a month I would get fast food. I don’t drink soda or energy drinks or things with a ton of sugar. I’m a water and tea drinker. Anyway, can someone give me some advice please?

    1. lori says:

      hey kelley,
do you want it bad enough? look in the mirror and tell yourself you want to become better. you are the only thing holding you back. always remember that. a way for me to not procrastinate my work out is when it pops in my head, i grab my sports bra, slip on shorts and just DO IT. i don’t think. i work out in my room. i fill up a huge bottle of water and open my window to let fresh air come thru and i power thru a simple 20 min work out. if i stopped to think, i would somehow talk myself out of it. and once i just start, i will do a great 20min HIIT work out. thats ALL you need! 20 min 3-4x a week. if you fall ff the bandwagon, forgive yourself. we all do that. this is not a quick fix. this is a lifestyle change. habits are hard to change.and u must remember that you are what you repeatedly do. if u work out once every 2wks here and there, you are not going to get anywhere. u must allow it to become a habit. good luck hun. one thing to take away from my long post: no one can give u motivation. you must find it within urself. as my professor used to tell me when i would tell her that i was procrastinating a paper “JUST DO IT!” <3 we can do it!!!

    2. Acerbica says:

@Kelley: The motivational speaker Earl Nightingale said, “Never give up on a dream because of the time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway.” Think about that–that 1-2 years that it will take for you to lose weight (during which time you will be looking better and better, btw) is going to be gone in the blink of an eye. And you’ll still be sitting there hating yourself for being lazy and obese, envying the lucky people who spent that same time period putting in a few hours a week.

If I gave you the option to easily take off 30 pounds, would you do it? Even though it wasn’t the full amount you really want? Of course you would. So don’t turn your nose up at that incremental weight loss–it’s all good!

It sounds like you lack self-discipline (sleeping all day/playing videos all day). Research shows that you can improve your self-discipline/self-control by using it. Small victories add up to big self-control. Maybe finding a way to integrate movement into your day would help. Force yourself to get the sort of job that will keep you moving and not eating as well as living on a set adult schedule. You probably also need to be accountable, so pair up with one of us on the app and post your weekly weight/work outs.

I keep a Google Doc with two of my cousins. I make my own fitness calendar using these videos/my own cardio and I plan it so that there is a pattern like Cassey has (arms/legs/abs on different days), but work around days when I know my schedule is going to suck. Then I go in and highlight each day that I accomplished and write “nothing” on the days when I did nothing. Time flies for me and I’m shocked when I see that it’s been a few days of not working out. I’m getting to the point where it is more normal to work out than not to. That’s where you want to be.

Your body may never be perfect, but I can tell you, as someone whose weight has fluctuated thanks to three pregnancies in five years, I’ve come to really prefer my pics at “somewhat lower” weights, even though they are not my final goal weight. Learn to embrace small accomplishments.

Also, self-discipline is hard for everyone. Don’t think that this stuff is harder for you than for other people (ergo it’s less of an accomplishment when they do it and more understandable when you don’t). It’s an excuse to act like it’s harder for you to make some decent decisions (like not lazing about all day–seriously, throw out the video games and start a dog-walking business or ANYTHING less stupid). You are worth the hard work that is before you. The time will pass anyway–so do something with it. You really don’t know how much of it you even have. You’re going to be kicking yourself when you’re facing your death and you think of how many years you wasted on TV, video games, laying around, etc. When my dad became terminal, he never turned on the TV again. He spent 8 months with his own thoughts and his family.

  51. Amy says:

I’m 15 going on 16 and i currently weigh 14 stone and 3lb over the past couple of months i have been desperately trying to loose weight, last month i lost about 10lbs and i was quite proud of myself, i’ve recently just hit exam season and i am struggling to balance everything. I am desperately trying to find time to go to the gym but that time gets taken over by revision sessions and binge eats. I feel so disgusted with my self lately and i’m really struggling. If you have a tips, please help

    1. Sarah says:

Pace yourself 🙂 There will be days you can’t get to the gym. Be honest with yourself about when you don’t have time, and when you just don’t want to go, and you will be fine. It sounds like your results are giving you the motivation, but rather than being ‘disgusted’ with yourself, be proud of yourself! POSITIVITY creates PRODUCTIVITY. Accept that you don’t have time to go to the gym during exams, but maybe during this time you can do a few Blogilates videos at home, go for a run one morning, or even take a walk around the campus between scheduled exams. There is ALWAYS some time for fitness – sometimes getting up and being active for half an hour will positively impact how you perform in the exam room because it will be a great stress reliever!
Instead of ‘I HAVE to exercise :(” think “I GET to exercise! :)” and you might help yourself find the time.
Book a fitness class in advance for the day you finish your exams – it’s something to look forward to and knowing that it is coming up will make you feel stronger.

As someone who has been there done that, I PROMISE that resisting a binge-eating-session will make you feel SO proud of yourself. Break the bad habit! If there is a room in the house you are more likely to binge in, do your study in another area. If it is study that makes you binge eat, then try and study outside, or create another study habit – like wearing fluffy socks or listening to music. Ask your family to help by asking if you can keep all junk away from the house during exam time. Keep a healthy snack nearby, like almonds, fruits or protein bars. It’s important to have healthy snacks nearby and eat when you are hungry – starving will result in a binge later!

Best of luck, and remember to stay POSITIVE 🙂

take some time in the mornings before school or in the evenings to find a workout on Cassey’s YouTube. add in 20-25 minutes of cardio (running on a treadmill, etc). if you can do this a few times a week then you should see some improvements. that comes with eating clean and drinking plenty of water too! and don’t worry, we all struggle. when it comes to exercise nothing comes easily. I will pray for you and your success! don’t be hard on yourself!

im 16 and 5’3….im 11 stone (71kg) and no matter what i do i cant seem to lose any weight. i have chunky thighs and a big belly, im a dancer and trampoliner, i dont eat too bad and i drink loads of water…..iv tried losing the weight for ages now almost a year but nothing seems to be working. please help.

    1. Laura says:

Hi Tanya! I’m 5′ 5”, 25 years old, and was around your weight when I was your age. I was also a dancer. Every person and body is different, and I’m not a medical expert or trainer, but I realize now that I was not eating or living as healthy at that time as I thought I was. One important aspect of weight loss is getting enough sleep. I kept gaining weight until I was 21, when I started getting more sleep and losing weight. When I was 20, I weighed about 75 kg. Now I weight 60. A lot of the weight loss was incidental, and more of a consequence of changing my lifestyle and habits. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, and try not to eat after dinner.

Also, as a dancer, I was very self-conscious and obsessed with my body and trying to lose weight. I often skipped meals and sometimes tried to go entire days without eating. That only tells your body that once it gets food, it needs to store it for later (aka turn it into fat). I also had and have a sweet tooth. I didn’t realize that starving all day and having a milkshake at 9 p.m. is much worse than having regular, healthy meals (and skipping the milkshake!). Nor did I realize that sugar is so terrible for your health. A lot of skinny girls I knew ate sugary candies, so I would sometimes have them, too. Those are empty calories.

Try keeping a food diary. Are you eating regularly, or are you letting yourself starve and then eating whatever you can find (often high calorie snacks or sweets)? I remember seeing skinny girls pile their plates high with salads, meats and pastas, and I wondered why they were skinny, when I ate less than them? Now I know that I had very unhealthy eating habits. Too many sweets, and no eating schedule. I know a lot of people say that calories are calories, but I find it easier to stay healthy if I eat a bigger breakfast and lunch, a smaller dinner, and then stop eating by 7 p.m. or so, and go sleep by 11. Going to bed full always makes me feel worse.

I also live abroad now, in a city where I walk extensively. What I would keep in mind is, even if you’re getting a lot of high-intensity activity, are you sedentary a lot of the remaining time? Try to do some walking every day. I am not anti-carb, but it really helps to start my day with protein. I often have 2-3 eggs and some salad or even a piece of (rye or whole wheat) bread or two for breakfast, otherwise I sometimes have oatmeal or cottage cheese. Do not eat until you are really full, but you want to feel satisfied. I used to eat very small portions, still feel hungry, and eat tons of snacks and sweets, not realizing that snacks and sweets are so much more calorie-dense than healthy food.

I usually eat a big lunch, with salad or soup and either meat or a grain, sometimes both. However, keep in mind that eating a big salad (go easy on avocado, dressing, etc.) or soup, fills you up without many calories, and then you don’t feel the need to eat an entire burrito or something afterward. You will be content with a piece of chicken or a smaller portion of pasta.

My response is getting very long, but I hope it’s of some help. I struggled so much with my body, and I felt like I had no control over myself.

Try to keep things in perspective. Don’t be too obsessed with losing weight, but try to lead a healthy lifestyle, get lots of sleep, and eat on a regular schedule and allow minimal amounts of sweets and snacks. Eating until you’re very full or eating entire pints or 1/2 gallons of ice cream will majorly derail you.

In February, I met up with a friend for a weekend trip, and we started our Friday night with a lot of food and drink. I felt off for about two weeks after that. Listen to your body and take care of your body. Remember that you’re a teenager and your body is changing. You may be like me, and just need time to learn your body’s needs, and maybe your weight will come off naturally in a few years. Just try to be aware of what you eat and drink, and focus on lots of vegetables and lean proteins, that will really keep you satisfied and healthy. Also, try to eat with awareness, at a table, without distractions like music or tv. When you’re done eating, you’re done, until your next scheduled meal, whether you eat 3 meals a day or more smaller ones. Absent-minded eating can add a lot of extra calories.

But again, don’t worry too much, Tanya! Time will tell. The most important thing is to keep active and be aware of your body and its needs. Perhaps you’re not getting enough sleep? If that’s the case, no matter what you do, you’ll probably have trouble losing weight. Teenagers need a ton of sleep, so try to get to bed as early as you can, and that will really help you find your natural weight. Don’t get to a point where you fear food. Enjoy food. Eat regular meals, be present as you eat, try to bring your lunch from home and eat at home more than you eat out, avoid sweets as much as you can, but don’t forbid yourself everything and end up binging, and see how things go.

Oh, and finally, drink lots of water, but drink it strategically. Drink when you wake up and between/before meals, but they say not to drink water for an hour, hour and a half after eating, for digestion. You can drink tea or warm liquids, but I don’t drink water after meals. And don’t drink so much that it keeps you up at night!

If anyone thinks I’m off in my comments, please share your thoughts! I am not an expert, and definitely don’t have all the answers. Just sharing from my own experience.

Good luck, and really don’t worry too much. 🙂

Looking at all these pictures are truly amazing and congrats to the dramatic transformations, and I admit I am extremely jealous. I have always been big when I was little because when I was born I was premature and extremely tiny. This resulted in my family members feeding me as much as they could to “help me grow”. When I was in 8th grade I took the initiative to change my life before highschool (this resulted in doing p90x, volleyball, basketball and running while fighting a back and hand injury). I did it, I lost 50 pounds going from 185 to 135 however I resorted to a eating disorder halfway through my freshmen year because I was infatuated with the numbers on the scale. After being forced to count calories to monitor my eating habits I gained a dreadful 20 pounds back, and I am trying desperately to lose them. These pictures above show beautiful bikini ready bodies that I wish I had. I’m so disappointed because I feel like I am trying everything, i’m on my schools distance team and averaging about 15 to 20 miles a week (sometimes less) and on the weekend I am doing as many strengthening workouts I can fit into my schedule and I am still seeing no results… I have recently been doing blogilates however am failing to find the time to do the full workouts posted on the workout calendars… I’m struggling with motivation because I keep failing to see the results 🙁

All of these young women are seriously so inspiring. I am in tears seeing their journey and wishing that could be me. I struggle so hard to lose weight, and am just ready to give up. I wish I was one of the ladies above!

    1. Taya says:

Don’t give up, Brenda! You’re working so hard, you can’t give up now. The time will pass anyways, so you might as well be making a positive change in your life! Don’t think of it as a diet, think of it as a life style change. The fact that you’ve already started the journey is already half the battle. Keep working hard and keep pushing through the negative emotions, till you come out a healthier, happier you. I believe in you, and so do all the other POPsters! Keep going, because we’re all here for you!!

Today I downloaded the #newbodymakeover but I feel like I might not be able to do it. However, if I start now I’ll be done by the beginning of June. Just in time for summer! Should I try?

    1. sol says:

Of course you should try. And take it as a new way of eating clean. I made it this winter, and I’m stardter it again ! This is not just smg to loose weight, it’s smg to learn how to eat if you want a clean mind in a clean body 🙂

  63. Juli says:

Hey Cassie… I have a dilemma. The last week and a half of the month I go into production at the newspaper that design for. I work 12+ hours a day, through the weekend for 12 days straight. I get up at 5am to get to work at 8, only break I get is an hour lunch, then I work till 9pm. As soon as I get home, my head hits the pillow and I’m asleep. I’m constantly exhausted during this period and I have no energy nor time to work out. I don’t really know what to do… I feel like all that I’ve been working for (body wise) is reversed after production. I don’t feel as strong when I get back at it. Will 12 days really reverse any work done, or is it just in my head?

    1. Allyson says:

      Hey Juli!

I understand you. I’m a student athlete, so I spend 4 hours every day practicing and playing basketball. There was a time when I stopped practice for a week, and I’ll tell you what— you really can’t stop exercising, even for a day.

Understandably, you were exhausted. So all I can say is get back up and start working at it again!
I wouldn’t go as far as saying you reversed the work that you did, but you’ll need to pick up some slack to get back to even where you were 12 days ago!

  64. Tricia says:

    You girls look amazing, congratulations!

  65. Karly says:

These are great! I just wish I could have the same transformation as them. I’ve been trying to lose weight for years and nothing changes. I can’t do the meal plan because it’s too much money. I live with my parents and they are such bad influences. They don’t exercise or eat right. They belittle me on everything I eat. I really want to be thin and fit, but it feels like it’s just a dream to me….

    1. Gravy says:

Sweeties.. Don’t give up. I face the problem like you. What I do is try to eat clean as much as I can whenever I’m going out and also eat less in a main meal at home. Hope this help 😉

  66. SB says:

I’m so proud of all these gorgeous girls, this inspired me so much 🙂

  67. Halllie says:

I agree. And I would recommend getting rid of the term “reverse transformation” for girls who are in eating disorder recovery.

    1. sol says:

I’m agree, doesn’t sound a positive transformation, and boy ! what a positive transformation it is !!!!

  68. Julia says:

These girls are SUCH an inspiration! You really can do anything when you put your mind to it ehh!! Really hope I can be as successful as these girls on my own fitness journey 🙂

  71. Alessandra says:

Hi, don’t you think that Taylor and Nondita are too skinny?? I don’t think that they are matching the real purpose of Blogilates, even if they won their own battle…

    1. wayu says:

      Hi alessandra!
Just gotta disagree with you there.
      Why?
Well first off, I think the purpose of blogilates is to promote a healthy lifestyle!
As such “too skinny” would be people who are grossly underweight in a sense that it’s dangerous for their health correct? Keep in mind that just being underweight (in the BMI sense) is not enough to make you unhealthy or damage your health. In the other sense, slight overweight is no real trouble for your health either though overweight seems to be a bigger healthhazard earlier than underweight.

Now it’s impossible to say whether these girls are unhealthy or not by just looking at one picture of them!

Also, I don’t think blogilates real purpose has anything to do with what size you wear. It’s all about reaching your goals and living a happy, healthy life! If these women does that (which I’m sure you know nothing about from these pictures) then who are you to say anything negative about their size or their “matching” of the blogilates purpose? 🙂

This is just a friendly disagreeent of your statement, and I hope you realize what I’m trying to say 🙂

      //Wayu

      1. Alessandra says:

Hi Wayu! Yes, I understand your opinion and I agree with it . Mine was strictly referred to the selfies in the post… I saw two girls very very skinny, I simply thought that before and after were a way toooo far and that those beautiful girls now are very very skinny. I don’t know if they are unhealthy or not, I was impressed by the pictures and so I was wondering if they are really matching the blogilates’ purpose, that means stay healthy and feel strong without the vanity to became skinny as a social diktat… It was just a question in order to understand if there are other people thinking like me! Thanks for your comment! 🙂

        1. Fiona says:

          I agree with Alessandra,
A couple of the girls look emaciated to me…. Def seem to have taken things too far. This website is so fantastic and inspiring – would be awful if it became a competition between young girls to lose the most weight….

  72. Amelie says:

This is very informative and true. Thank you.

  73. Dorothy says:

So disappointed to see Jaime’s “reverse transformation” pictures and story used AGAIN without an appropriate warning. Showing eating disorder related photographs is very triggering for those still struggling with eating issues. I thought the comments on the original post (bit.ly/ODvomq) from earlier this week would have made an impression. At least this post did not focus on the numbers involved.

For those dealing with these issues currently, visit http://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org for valuable information, resources, and a community that “gets it” and can provide support and assistance.

  75. Congratulations, ladies! And it’s so wonderful to see Jaime gain a healthy body!

  76. Jamie says:

Wow, I am so impressed by Leah especially! I have been attempting to go gluten free for the past couple weeks and it’s been a total struggle. This has motivated me once more [:

    1. sol says:

Gluten is hard to take off. Yous have to know that during 2 mounth, you still have gluten in your body, even if don’t eat it any more. So try for 3 mounth, and you will definitly feel the diference after the first 2 mounth. If you don’t, it means that you don’t have problems to digest gluten !

  77. You girls are such an inspiration! I am currently 101kg – down from 112. Whenever I feel like I can’t I am going to come back here and look at you guys and say “yes I can”

Thank you Cassey for sharing this with us all. I love this page, exercise, fitness, fun, positive body image – you rock Cassey!

  78. Jenna says:

THANK YOU! I really needed this inspiration today, been mentally struggling this week (with that “just give in to bad choices” funk) and needed a kick in the pants reminder that if I make good choices, I will see changes in the future!! XOXOXO

  79. Savannah says:

Wow this is so inspiring, I really want to live a healthier life too. I need more motivation 🙁

    Hi Cassey!!!!!!!!
First of all I would like to say that you are such an inspiration and you have such a sweet spirit. I am so so thankful for everything you have done for all of us!!
Second, I have a major problem. I am very ill (have been for the past 6 years) but I really really want to lose weight. How can I do this without intense excercising? and also I cant follow the meal plans because my meals are planned by my mom.
    Thanks so much!! please reply!!
    Love,
    Meg

    1. Karyn says:

Just focus on eating clean and do moderate exercise then. It’s 80% diet and 20% exercise, so your focus can be on food instead. You don’t have to follow the meal plans, but just talk to your mom and make the switch to eating clean.
As for working out, try the beginners calendar and see how much/which videos you can do. If ALL pilates is too intense, try yoga or a type of dance. Anything will help. 🙂 Good luck!

    2. Liz says:

Hi Meg! Have you tried showing your mom the meal plan? Most moms I know would LOVE some help in meal planning – makes grocery shopping much easier! 🙂

  81. MiinaMarie says:

Great job you guys!! Also, just watched Cassey on Dr Oz…oh yeah.
Wondering about some of the “Transformers” whos pictures are posted above, who lost a lot of weight…I wonder if you guys experience any loose skin, especially if you’ve lost it fast, or what you’ve done in regards to loose skin and weight loss…I don’t know if that will be something I’ll experience, but I’m sure like some people, the chance is there. If you don’t mind popsters, can you elaborate on that…also Cassey, I don’t use the App, are we not getting a community section on the site at all?
    Thanks!!

  82. Felicia says:

I love how you inspire and motivivate girls all around the globe to work hard and love their body!
    Thank you Casey 🙂

  83. Joaninha says:

    Hey Cassey!
Just a thought-I know you’ve had a lot of posts on here talking about how it’s not about how you look (inner thigh gaps, etc.) but how you transform your life/get stronger/etc. I am totally for transformation Tuesdays and nothing beats seeing these girls’ (and someday guys?) success firsthand! Just wondering if there was any way to also incorporate some of those “other” fitness victories-like cardio/weight stats, emotional changes, etc. that people have had that show the other benefits to eating clean and living healthy. Love what you’re doing here; just a thought!

    1. Danielle says:

I love and support this idea!

    2. Katie says:

      Cosign!!

    3. MiinaMarie says:

I agree, a good way to motivate the popsters who have a longer way to go, but a way to encourage them to celebrate their ‘non-scale victories’ (or NSVs – a weight watchers term :P)

    4. Cara says:

Love love love this idea, I think it’d also be great for people like me who don’t want to focus on weight (At a healthy 126 I’m not working to lose pounds but want to be stronger and faster). It would also emphasize how this community isn’t just about “beach bodies” but healthy bodies, something I’ve been thinking about a lot since reading the awesome Fiterazzi article about the stereotypes of “fit” and “healthy.” Kudos to Jackelyn for running such an awesome mag. Quite an awesome pair of siblings. 🙂

    5. Charlie says:

I really love this idea too! Especially because I think there are also many of us out there, me included, who are not necessarily focussing on our weight. Three things that have made a difference in my life thanks to your videos: I’ve toned up, I’ve become a lot more flexible (just when I thought I was a lost cause haha) and my self-esteem has improved! Before I started doing your videos I really thought nothing would ever make me want to exercise (not to mention on a daily basis) and now it’s become a fun thing to do. Thanks so much and keep doing what you’re doing! You’re awesome! 🙂

    6. Catta says:

I wanted to say the same!!! Weight and pictures don’t do justice to these amazing success stories. You may get stronger and happier when gaining (!) weight, because of building up muscle. It’s important to emphasize the fact that getting fit is not only about the look or number on the scale. It’s about getting healthy and happier. 🙂
Anyways, congrats to the POPsters in the photos – amazing job! 🙂 Thank you, Cassey, for helping us to get healthy and strong!

    7. Aura says:

      Totally agree with you 🙂

    8. Stephanie M. says:

Great idea, like accomplishments of the week or something. For example, I was able to do a full advanced side plank for the first time yesterday!
