Hey guys!

HAPPY 1st FULL WEEK OF JULY!!! Here’s a new video for you! 8 Minutes of Abs & Obliques amazingness. This routine is actually super fun, so hit play and give it a shot! You will love the “crunch twists” throughout.

So far y’all are looking fantastic on the #journeytosplits challenge! Look, you’re even stretching on the water! SO COOL GUYS. KEEP IT UP.

This weekend I enjoyed a low key celebration for July 4th. I had a small BBQ and also made this USA fruit flag! Pretty easy and super impressive wouldn’t you say? I made a smoothie after just out of the flag ingredients (blueberries, bananas, and strawberries) plus almond milk and ice…and it was SUPERB!!! You must try!

Saturday we decided to relax and not work AT ALL. (Very rare for me.) So instead of touching the computer we went on a hunt for one of my fave desserts of all time. Have you ever been to Disneyland? Have you ever tried Dole Whip? If you have, you understand how I am IN LOVE with this! It’s basically a soft serve pineapple ice cream!! Until Saturday I did not know that you could even buy this stuff outside of Disney! But lo and behold…

DOLE WHIP!!!!! If you’re ever in LA, check out Whipp’d LA. You won’t need to pay the Disneyland admission ($99 for a day pass plus probably $6-8 for a cone half the size of this) to get a taste. This baby was like 3 bucks! AND SO SO GOOD. YAY!!!

Tomorrow your #journeytosplits challenge is the Day 6 supported side splits!

Grab a yoga block, pillow, or some books to place under your front thigh. I would try to do this every day actually after your foundational stretches (1-5) to see your splits progression. PLEASE remember to be stretching AT LEAST 10 min a day. If you are serious about getting into the side splits, you must listen to these directions. Flexibility takes time and your body needs the gradual progression.

Alrighty…see you soon on Snapchat!

Hi Cassey! I just started your begininners workout and have a problem. Every time there’s a lower ab exercise I can feel myself using my hip flexors (which are always tight) instead of working my lower abs. Any tips on how to fix this?

I just did this workout… oh man! It hurt so good! I just started following you around a month ago, and my boyfriend and I LOVE your workouts! We’ve tried to get into the hang of exercising with so many other things (yoga, calisthenics, cardio, etc) and your workouts are the only thing I can get him to do that he doesn’t whine about haha! Thanks so much! We are on our way to a healthier body and mindset, and I cant wait to share our journey with you guys 🙂

We have pineapple whip food trucks here in Arkansas! I had eaten it here before ever knowing it was a huge deal at Disney! I think it’s like $1.50 for a big bowl!

    Hi Cassey and fellow popsters!

So I follow the workout calendar religiously, and also try to eat as clean as I can and only allow myself a couple cheat meals in a week, but I still am not seeing any results, no matter what I do. I’m content with my size, I just want to be able to lean up and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong! Does anyone have any advice/is in my situation? Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi Cassey… Thanks for doing what you do. Your workouts are great for me to do while my little one is napping and my 3yo plays. My favorite quote right now is…

You need 3 bones to be successful
    A wishbone
    A backbone
    And a funny bone..

    Thanks Shanna

Hey Cassey! I am in LOVE with your flat abs fast dvd and I ordered you other dvd too! I have a question though-I just found out I am pregnant and I have always been very active, but I miscarried my first baby and don’t want a re-peat. Can I still workout my abs like I like to? I know you’re the expert and many experts say it’s fine to continue what you normally do, but I wanted a little reassurance. Thank you! You rock everyday!

Can you make a chart like this for middle splits? I’ve got my front split, but I’m struggling with my middle split.

  10. Jane says:

For the split challenge, does it end on the 30th? There isn’t a specific stretch for the 31st.

I’ll take it for inspiration in my future workouts 😉

  16. I love this 8 min abs workout Cassie! While I have no problem fitting in my cardio, I sometimes slack on my weight training in the summer. Quick workouts like this that I can squeeze in whenever I have a lull are key! Glad you had a relaxing 4th.
