4 Energizing, Easy & Healthy Smoothie Recipes!
Hey guys!
Remember when I promised you some new smoothie recipes? Well guess what, I finally got to blending, testing, and tasting them all…here they are. THEY ARE SO GOOD and totally Blogilates approved. Also, all were shot in my brand new mason jars which I am sooooooo excited to show you. They are so cute I could die.
1. Tropical Passion Smoothie
– 1/2 banana – 5 strawberries – 1 c chopped pineapple – 1/2 c almond milk – 1 large peeled orange – handful of ice
Macros: 216 Calories, 2.8 g Protein, 3.8 Fat, 50.7 g Carbs, 5.2g Fiber

2.Green Dream Shake
– 1/2 banana – 2 kiwis peeled – 1/2 ripe avocado – 1 c coconut water – small handful of baby spinach – handful of ice
Macros: 346 Calories, 6.7 g Protein, 14.5g Fat, 57g Carbs, 10.4g Fiber
3. Very Berry Smoothie
– 5 strawberries – 1 c fresh blueberries – 1 large orange – 1/2 c almond milk handful of ice
Macros: 164 Calories, 2.8 g Protein, 4g Fat, 47.8g Carbs, 5g Fiber

4. Peanut Butter Banana Shake
– 1 ripe banana – 1 TBS natural peanut butter – 1 c almond milk – 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder – 2 handfuls of ice
Macros: 390 Calories, 29.2 g Protein, 17.1 Fat, 41.1 g Carbs, 6 g Fiber

Hope you enjoyed these recipes! The creamiest, most YOLO tasting one is DEF the Peanut Butter Banana Shake! The most refreshing – the Tropical Passion. It legit tastes like the Caribbean Passion at Jamba Juice (which is my favorite flavor btw)!
I also love filling these jars with water. They hold a whole 3 cups inside them (so deceiving) and I end up staying so hydrated (and peeing so much, haha) because I keep sipping away as I am working at my desk. The reusable straw is so cool!!!! Plus for long drives, it’s so easy to take smoothies along for the ride 🙂
Ok well let me know which one you want to try! I’d love to hear it. Also, show me pics once you try my concoctions. I would totally love to see them.

The recipes for the smoothes are simply and easy.
I was wondering if you could give me some idea about the protein powder. I want to include that in my diet and if you could tell what is the best protein powder to take and how much that would be good help.
I was wondering the smoothies can be made in advance? I am not a morning person so if I could make all of these on a Sunday night for the week and freeze them, would they stay good and just be able to thaw the morning I want to drink them?

If you put the solid ingredients in a baggy and freeze them, you can throw them into the blender in the morning with the liquid ingredients! Then blend it up! It’s really a time saver.
the very berry smoothie was TO DIE FOR! best smoothie I’ve had in years. It is a beautiful thing to create your own food from ur hands. we had some trouble with the strawberries and a spilled milk but the trials and troubles were worth it in the end. its all about the journey and not about the destination. but in this case the destination was the goal and it was delicious. i am almost finished with my smoothie but now i know that good things do not last forever except this smoothie. it will live forever in our hearts. amen. This smoothie has been life changing for me. It has really taught me to never give up because it will always be worth it. The delicious ingredients have inspired me to become a food blogger who creates Mederterrian delicacies. I really want to thank the team at bloglaties for allowing me to make this huge leap in my life. Can I do them for example at the begining of the week and drink everyday one?
Hey!
Since it’s mostly fruit and milk, you have to consume it immediately! As soon as you open fruit, it will start oxidising (normally it becomes blackened, think bananas or apples). So you shouldn’t wait around too much… when I make a smoothie I try to drink immediately, I guess that if you put it in a closed bottle you can maybe drink it after a couple of hours, but I wouldn’t recommend drinking it the next day…
If you want to save up time (I know I always have my minutes counted, especially in the morning!) you can prep and chop up the fruit you’re going to need for every smoothie and freeze it… Maybe even make a zip log bag for each smoothie (so like you do it on Sunday and then have smoothies ready for each day of the week) write down the ingredients/smoothie name on the bag and then take it out first thing in the morning, so that everything softens up a little bit… And then smoothie away! 🙂

Keep up the English cause you are doing great! As for your questions:
c is cup which is a unit of measure (~250mL), so you’ll need a measuring cup ;).
Coconut water, is a liquid found in coconuts. You can usually find it in either the water or juice section of the super market (at least that is where it is in Canada).
Lastly in regards to using normal milk, I don’t think it will be a problem but almond milk, I find, is pretty sweet whereas normal dairy milk is not. Almond milk is pretty common and can usually be found either in the dairy section or the health food section of your grocery store. You might want to try sweetened soy milk (I like vanilla) if you can get it or maybe add a little honey to dairy milk! But I by no means am an expert, but I hope that helps.
“c” is the US measurement meaning cup. I’m sure you could probably use normal milk, almond milk is just a little healthier. Coconut water is basically the liquid you would find inside of a coconut, in the US it is sold in cartons in the water aisle of most grocery stores.
Hi, my knee just had to be immobilized because of an injury, so I can not do anything so hard, still I wanted to know which exercices I could do to keep myself active, something I can do with my right leg straight.

I would avoid doing leg exercises only with one leg (cause then you’d get one leg more toned than the other and that’s not physically very nice)… Try to focus on the other muscle groups (abs, back, arms). Don’t do butt because it’s too close to the injured area and the movements require the use of your leg/legs 99% of the time!
I know it sucks to be injured! I tore my medial collateral ligament (on the inside part of the knee) 8 years ago and it still gives me problems! For once I can never stay in a plank too much because my knee feels like it’s going to burst! So PLEASE do everything that the doctors tell you, even if you have to keep still for 5 months, cause otherwise it may not heal correctly and it’s going to cause you a lot of stress in the future!

2 cups spinach
2 cups almond milk
2 cups berries( 1 cup blueberries& 1 cup strawberries)
1 banana
2 tbs almond butter
1/4 oats

Hey the mason jars are incredible but how do you even successfully wash the reusable straw?
Put a little bit of soap in the straw and use a pipe cleaner to get all the grossness out.
Hi, I’m kind of beginner in this workout thing and healthy eating, and I’m just wondering… When is the time to drink smoothie? The calories are kind of too high for snack and also pretty unsatisfying for a main course. I heard that you drink it for a pre-workout though, but I just want to know for sure from others!
I usually drink smoothies for breakfast because they fill me up pretty good. I also workout before breakfast so i drink the smoothie after workout. That’s just my routine but i hope it helped you

Banana smoothies make excellent breakfasts, mid-day snacks, and hangover cures. Since bananas blend so well with other flavors, it’s easy to create a smoothie to satisfy your particular tastes. Read on for directions on how to make four types of banana smoothies: pure banana, berry banana, health nut banana, and dessert banana.
Gather the ingredients. Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make a pure banana smoothie:
1 banana
1 tablespoon honey, or sugar
1 cup milk
Ice (optional)
Peel the banana and put it in the blender. You can also use a food processor if you don’t have a blender. Break the banana into large chunks to make it fit.
Add the milk and honey, or sugar. If you like thick smoothies, reduce the milk to 1/2 cup. For a thinner smoothie, add more milk or water.
Top it off with ice, if desired. Place about 8 ice cubes on top of the banana, milk and honey mixture. Either crushed or cubed ice will work equally well.

oh monique. i understand your troubles. bananas can be a trying vegetable that only certain can handle. it takes a special kind of person to handle bananas. try substituting it with a canned pumpkin, avocado, or frozen veggies. do not let the fear of bananas keep your from making smoothies. monique i believe in you. live mas

UPDATE: I made the tropical passion smoothie tonight (a slightly modified version bc didn’t have strawberries or almond milk) and am drinking it right now, it is sooooooo yummy!! 🙂
