App

App

On Facebook,  we’ve been having conversation about having a Blogilates Fitness App! How cool would that be? We’ve already come out with some ideas like a random workout roulette, workout command push notifications, and calorie burn per workout! Well, I’ve been looking at some fitness apps on iTunes and I want your help. I want YOU to help me create the BEST FITNESS APP out there. What’s missing? What do you want? Tell and it shall come. Thank you!!! This is for YOU GUYS!!!

Please comment and answer the following questions for me:

1. What devices should this be available on?

2. Do you want this app to be available when you have no wifi?

3. Will your purpose for using the app be for gym or at-home?

4. Do you want to enable your own music playlist?

5. Do you want me to lead you through the whole workout (video + talking the whole time) or do you just want to quickly see what the move is and set a timer, ie. I min Plank.

6. What existing apps do you already like?

7. What would you tack on to those apps?

8. I’m all ears – other crazy suggestions???

Hi, I am trying the 7 day free trial leading up to the All Access program; however, I am on Day 2 and still cannot cast to my TV from my iphone. I am able to cast other content from my phone, just not the Blogilates app workouts. I would like to try this as part of my trial please. Apple Support directed me to Blogilates Support. Can you please help me?

  2. Tania says:

I cannot create an account, tells me all the user names I have tried are taken and I have done some really hard ones.

Hi, I’m trying to reset my password so I can log into my account on my iPad and I already have the app on my phone but when I go to reset my password it asks me for my previous password to make a new password. I feel like that defeats the purpose of asking for a new password. How can I create a new password if I can’t remember the old one?

  4. Damond Justus says:

The app is not letting me log in. Reset email gives me my username and a password reset link. Then when I try to log in it says my “user contains invalid data”

    1. Vic says:

  8. S says:

I can’t log into my account! The password reset option is not sending me an email, even though it’s recognizing my username & corresponding email address.

      1. S says:

I’ve emailed you but still no response…. 🙁

        1. blogilates says:

Try again! We get lots of emails so it may have gotten lost.

  9. Jen says:

How can you go back to previous “missed workouts” and catch up on them?

  10. Jennie says:

How do you cancel through the app store? It is incredibly frustrating for there to be no button in app to stop this charge.

    1. blogilates says:

Hey Jennie! No apps can cancel within the app. You have to do it through the app store, click on your account, subscriptions and you can do it there.

  11. Kristina Kotouckova says:

Hi, how can I cancel my monthly subscription ? I keep trying to cancel and it’s continuing to charge me £3.99 every month ?

    1. blogilates says:

    4. YES YES YES
    5. I Like when you talk the whole time:) it helps motivate me

  26. Nox Dineen says:

    1. What devices should this be available on?

Start with iOS, if you have any interest in making it a paid app or including in-app purchases iOS users are much more likely to pay for an app than Android users. (Android apps rely more heavily on ads for revenue, and that’s a lousy user experience.)

    2. Do you want this app to be available when you have no wifi?

Yes, absolutely. I’d rather have a bigger app I can use in the park or on vacation than a smaller app that eats bandwidth and is slow due to downloading video/routines every time I use it.

    3. Will your purpose for using the app be for gym or at-home?

At home. Gyms rob me of my will to work out, it’s weird.

    4. Do you want to enable your own music playlist?

Yes, and if you can make it work with other music apps (Rdio) I’d explode with joy.

    5. Do you want me to lead you through the whole workout (video + talking the whole time) or do you just want to quickly see what the move is and set a timer, ie. I min Plank.

Somewhere in between. Check out Nike Training Club and Skimble’s Workout Trainer app for what I mean. Give tips on form, but you don’t need to talk the entire time. Also, give a countdown and heads up when the timer’s almost done. (“Next up, X move in 5-4-3-2-1”)

    6. What existing apps do you already like?

GAIN Fitness, Nike Training Club, Nike+, Fleetly, Workout Trainer, BodyRockTV (well, the BodyRock app is terrible in terms of UX and design, but its convenience makes me forgive it).

    7. What would you tack on to those apps?

GAIN & Workout Trainer: change the pricing model. One-off purchases are too high ($9.99 for one routine? Yeah, nope) and a subscription model is annoying.

Nike Training Club: clarify which body parts are hit hardest in each workout, allow users to mix and match exercises to make and share (and rate) user-created routines, offer “workout plans” which tell you which routine to do for a span of several weeks to get max results.

    8. I’m all ears – other crazy suggestions???

Ability to rate or fave routines so users can see what they’ve already done or find their fave easily.

  27. Sylvie says:

1.) it should be available for iphone and android
2.) not necessarily if it doesnt consume a high rate of data
    3.) at home
    4.) yes, definetly!!
5.) both would be nice actually 😀
6.) i dont have any fitness apps actually
8.) you should definetly integrate your blog ins ome way

  28. Jess says:

Would really appreciate it being on Android not just iphone 🙂 xx
