Gotta go to bed early… | 82 of 90

Hey guys!

It’s currently 6:20pm and in less than 12 hours I will be in downtown LA at shoot filming 7 fitness videos for the FitOn App (free to download and use)! I decided to take a rest day today in order to save my energy for tomorrow. Plus I will need to get to sleep early tonight. As you can see, this blog post is going up “early” for me (as in not 12am), so I’m already prepping for success!!!! I will DEF be sore for days after, but I love the challenge.

How’s your November going so far? Have you downloaded the November workout calendar yet?

By the way, for those of you using the calendar on my blog, and checking workouts off, is it working for you? Please give me your feedback as I am going to be making some technical changes soon and need to know what you like and don’t like about the calendar. I want to make it easier for you to follow along!

Since we are officially 57 days away from Jan 1st, 2020, you really need to start thinking about our goals for the new year. Make sure you grab your 2020 Fit Planner before it runs out. I like that the calendar would link to the videos on your website, so I dont have to filter through finding them all since I use my phone to follow along. I love the workouts, longest workout program I’ve kept with.

It’s been a while since I’ve used the calendar workout on your blog, well, as in checking off the videos. But it’s also been a while since I don’t really follow the calendars either. In fact, I just do the videos that I really want to do, the ones that will satisfy ME and MY BODY. However, I’d reallyyyy love it if you could give us calendars with older videos. Maybe the 2009-2015 ones? I have to admit, so many of your workouts are challenging but I got bored of always doing the same ones.

    Hi
For me November is so hard to workout. I’m having such a difficult time working out in the AM. I’ve been working out for over 35 yrs and always have a hard time in November. Hard to get motivated

I’ve followed your workouts for a few years now, but I am actually following through this year. My favorite set of workouts was this year’s Summer Sculpt. I got great results and was sore literally every day in a good way. I think it was because you paired two things together (Abs and Butt, for instance). I am a big fan of this. I also wish you would add a wrap-up video that includes stretching. I feel like we don’t get enough stretching. I do some on my own if I have time, but with 45 minutes on average of working out, I often don’t have time. All that is to say, your calendars and videos are my FAVORITE! I will continue to do them and am always excited when the new calendar releases. Thank you, Cassey!

OMG that fit planner tho. Super cute!

    Hi Cassey!

I know you’ve gotten lots of critiques in the last few days. As someone who is still trying to figure out how i feel about the videos and this whole journey (there’s literally so many different aspects to this situation to consider!) I do want to leave you a little note of encouragement here. It’s really hard to put everything out there on the internet and be open to constant criticism. I can’t say that I agree with everything you do, but I would like to say that as a women I support you in making whatever choices you want to make about yourself, your body, your career and your life! I hope you someday stop listening to the voices of criticism (though I can’t even imagine how hard it must be to do that) and I hope you continue to make choices based on what is right for you! I appreciate your honesty and openness that you are always willing to share with us!

I have literally checked off 3 and a half years worth of calendar workouts, and I absolutely love it! It’s motivating to see all I’ve accomplished and helps me remember what I’ve done and what I still have to do. The ONE thing I would want to see different is for the links to open in a new tab when you click them, rather than the same one. Tiny things! Love your stuff Cassey.

    1. Denae says:

I agree! Love the calendar! I just right click and hit “Open in new tab” for each one, and check them off as I go! The only change I might recommend would be that you could suggest how many rounds of each video to do, cause for a day’s worth of PIIT, we’re supposed to do it 4x, but what if it’s just part of the day’s work? 1x? Thanks for all you do!

I love the calendar. I use it every day. But when I want to exercises with the calendar in phone version I cant see the calender in whole imagine. I love in the calendar that It is easy to use in the everyday life. I think so too that a little strech routine in the daily wo is can help me to be flexible than right now.
I also love in the calendar that in the daily wo not so boring. When I do a 4 round wo routine I give up the wo. 🙁 I love in the poppilates that , it is a very varied wo lifestyle than others. It is change every day, and every month . But if I also meet my favourite wo video in the daily routine I do the exercise more excited.

  9. I remember you mentioned wanting to go somewhere for your honeymoon that makes you feel small! Are you thinking about going to Europe for its historic scenes? 🙂

  10. Pao says:

I have another suggestion! maybe you can divide the workouts. For example I workout only 30 mins a day, and the calendar is usualy longer, so it can have a regular section with 30 min workout, and then the bonus workouts, for people who can workout longer. I can never do the last (one or two) videos from the calendar and I’m always thinking “were the 30 first minutes enough or am I missing the best part”?

  11. Pao says:

I would like an app with the calendar. Maybe like the CODA one you did for the abs challenge. I really like printing it, and checking workouts off, but i’ll rather do it on my phone, because i’m not always carrying my calendar, and I’m always with my phone. (sorry for my bad english, I speak spanish)

  12. Raven says:

I print the calendar every month. Having something physical always makes me more motivated since I can check off the boxes. I love the daily routines and how each day is focused on something else. A little bummed arms and back are now paired with abs. It’s difficult for me to work my abs all the time due to bad hips and back but at least I can try to get the abs stronger? I would like for PIIT/HIIT videos to have a x1, x2 or x4 next to them since some days seem short so I’ll do a PIIT twice but other days I end up uneven, if that makes sense.

  13. rminnicus says:

I love the calendar. I use it on my phone! I would love to see a stretch video after the workouts everyday. Like I know I need to stretch, but it’s a lot easier to follow you and you go more in depth than me lol! I really think that’s the only thing I have to suggest. Thanks for all you do!

    1. Sarah says:

Yes, definitely! A stretch video would be so helpful.

    2. Saraahx says:

Ohhhh, that’s a good one! I usually do her stretch videos or yoga stretches ones. Pretty much anything that will relax me, stretch me out and maybe even get me more flexible! Maybe you can do that too for the time being?

  14. Alianne says:

I’m loving the calendars so far, (although some of the days are getting a little too long to fit into my schedule) but when I try to print it out it isn’t centered and prints it on two pages- idk if that’s me or the calendar but I haven’t found the fix yet😬

  15. Lauren Camardese says:

I just started using the monthly calendar again this month after a year! I honestly stopped because it gets very repetitive and boring. I would LOVE to see more variation from one day to the next and from one month to the next. Also, I would personally love to see a stretch video at the end of every day.. not just on Friday. Oh! And I really love it when you throw in daily challenges (like try cooking this, or text a friend what you appreciate about them, or give someone a compliment, or go for a run, ect…) again, keeps it interesting and challenges me to do new things!

  16. ANonymous says:

It is really satisfying to check off all the workouts I complete, and the calendar works great. Thanks Cassie! (George is the cutest!!!!) Good luck with the shoot!

  17. Bekah says:

I’m not a fan of how arm days are now arm and ab days. I miss my arm isolate workout days!

    1. Emily says:

Me too! I’ve been supplementing the ab and arm days with an extra arm video or do separate weighted workouts to make up for it.

  18. Xena_Athena says:

I love the cute, clean design of the calendars this year but I really miss when they were landscape instead of portrait. Landscape looks much nicer as a wallpaper background on my desktop computer. 😜

  19. deepika says:

    Love the food pictures.

  20. LisaZ19 says:

Can you do a calendar that has less videos for the day? 30-45 minutes of exercise is too much for me, probably the only one. 10-15 minutes of workout daily is all I can do.

  21. Emily says:

I’m following the November calendar! I’m loving it so far! I have had to swap most of the cardio / PIIT workouts for the Silent Death/Apartment Friendly routines but they’re still lots of fun! And I like the stretching videos on rest days.
I’m looking forward to the new year already. I really want to have a fresh start and only surround myself with the people and things that I love! Xx

  22. Kay says:

I just want to say that the calendar has really been helping me improving on my own fit journey through the years, so I hope it won’t change too much.
What I really like about it:
    – a different body part is being tortured each day
    – the WO always begins with a cardio video
    – it doesn’t take too long to go through (35 to 45 minutes is perfect, so I still have time to play a stretching video after).
Maybe adding a cool oof video that suits good with the WO of the day for each day would be a good idea, so the WO is really complete…
So thank you SO MUCH for all this, Cassey, it really changed my routine for the best and I feel so much happier and fitter now!

  23. Kaja says:

The calendar definitely works for me and it makes it much easier than just finding exercises randomly, but sometimes I find I’m missing cool downs/stretches. For warm up, there usually is a cardio video first, so that’s great. It’s also sometimes hard to gauge the overall length each day. Still though, I always go to the calendar page and watch them there instead of directly on youtube, because I can also mix and match, if there’s something I’d switch.

  24. Monet says:

I love the calendar! I’ve been printing and checking off workouts on them since 2014. They’re totally awesome and I love the design changes each month. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. 🙂
