Hey POPsters!!

This month we are doing something crazy and something totally different for April.

Let those April (sweat) showers bring May POWER!!!!

See that hashtag #Blogilates127. What could that possibly mean…you ask. Well lemme tell you. I’ve been on YouTube for a little over 3 years and I have accumulated some great workouts along the way. This month I challenge you to an epic feat.



OMG. Yes. OMG.

There are 127 videos (including the new ones I will post weekly on the channel) and I am asking you right now to commit. Commit to this challenge and imagine how amazing and accomplished you will feel on April 30th. Are you ready? Let all of us POPsters join in on this challenge and motivate each other to go GO GO whether you like the workout or not. YOU HAVE TO DO IT. And all of us will do the same videos together every day.

Something new: I added a “sign here” section so that you can literally sign off your accomplishments daily. This will signify completion. Official completion however, is only granted when you tweet or instagram me @Blogilates a pic of your signature of the day. Be sure to use the hashtag #Blogilates127 so I can find you, comment, and feature you! I want all of us to see and congratulate hard work daily.

    so i been having problems on loosing my fat… they say to first to cardio to burn that all out and then do ab workout :/ idk wat to do … i tried.. im eating clean and ugh -.- i cant and im a very active person im a dancer and a soccer player and nothing… my legs is the only thing that is super duper toned.. and my upper body its like 🙁 big nonono lol.. my upper body looks funny with my toned legs lol hahahha.. help !!

    hey! for the work out calendar are we supposed to do ALL the videos that are posted on one day, or do we just choose one?? (ive been doing all videos every day) I hope I understood correctly lol!

      You are suppose to do all that are under that calendar day which equals about a hour a day. 🙂

      I’ve been doing all of them too. She recommends working out an hour a day and her videos run about an hour. If you’re in it to lose some weight, you’ll want to add a bit more cardio she says.
      Good on you for doing all of them – I know some days I’m really dragging my feet to even get out of bed, then an hour of workou0t (at some point) – craaaazy 😀

    So… I may be the only one with this problem. I could only do one workout today, as the others are not available on Youtube (this is the message I am getting), which is completely weird as this never happened to me. I tried watching the videos on 3 different computers and nada :((

      Sometimes I get this message, too, mostly due to copyright reason which depends on where you are from. I installed “youtube unblocker” for Opera, but I am quite sure that this little helper is available for other browsers as well. Just google it and then have fun with the WO 🙂

    I have a question about the videos– when we’re doing this month’s workouts (where we’re doing about 6 videos per day)… are we doing the videos once? I.e., in some videos Cassey says at the end “Ok now do this X amount of times”. Is it okay to just do the video once and move on to the next video in the list?

      yes, that’s okay. She says that for peoplw who are not joining the calender. When tou do te workout X times anount they workout an hour. But we workout an hour withthe workouts in the calender. We don’t have to do the workouts X times more.

    I’m starting very late (today!) and I will be doing day 1 of the calendar and get as far as I can until the next month’s calendar arrives, where I can finally start with everyone from the beginning. In addition, today is also day 1 of the 90 Day Challenge for me :).

    Your website with fantastic meal plans and recipes, youtube fitness videos, and wonderful online community have made me incredibly motivated to start this and do it properly. I’m 122-125ish lbs which doesn’t sound so bad… until you learn that I’m only 5’1-5’2. I am out of shape with no tone, and have been having a very sedentary lifestyle for the last few months. I’m ready for a change!

    Oh! And totally random and weird question for everyone– I hate panty lines when I work out, but thongs are uncomfortable and I’m sure unsanitary… so I’m just wondering what others do to get around this? Go commando? Some awesome brand of underwear I’ve never heard of? Also, I’m currently mat-less until this weekend and I have hardwood floors… should I just throw a heavy blanket on the floor and do my exercises on that?

      Buy a yogamat, it’s espacially made for yoga and workouts. Cassey is also training on a yogamat, you can find a lot beautifull happy colours in online stores. But also some mats with cool plaids. Just look around and make the workout even more fun with a bringt and shining yogamat :).
      X you can do this !

    hey, i really really need your help! can anyone tell me if with this exercises i will get skinnier or more tonified? i don’t want to get really big muscles, i just want to be skinnier, will this help?

      The only way you will get really big muscles is if your taking supplements specifically designed to do so, like steroids or testosterone. Having more muscle will bump up your metabolism because you will burn more calories at rest. You don’t have to worry about getting bulky even if you were in the gym lifting heavy.     Do you do all workouts together or at different times of the day?

      hi ruby
      it doesn’t really matter. you can split them up if that suits your daily schedule better or you can do them back to back – as long as you keep good form (i.e.: if you feel like you lose form after the first few videos, it’s better to do the second half of the workout later in the day when you’ve regained your energy).

    Hi. I’ve been trying to get the workout calendar for a few days now and it just won’t load. I’ve tried using different browser, but that hasn’t helped. I’ve tried just saving it (even though I can only see the top inch), but it won’t save. I see that other people have had problems getting the calendar, but it seemed to clear up magically for other people. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this to work?

    :/ I’m a total beginner and can’t even do half of any one of her videos (unless it’s listed beginners and even then I take multiple rests). I’ve done insanity in the past for about a week or so before my body gave out to injury. I also have gym class to go along with everything so I’m kind of worried how intense this plan looks. I really don’t want any more injuries (it’s usually my knee, ankle, or wrist). Can anyone else share their experience thus far following this plan? And should I just start out with maybe 2 videos instead or 4 or something? Her workouts are always soooo hardcore O.o

      Hey Kat, I’m 13 years old and completely unflexible, but I’ve been doing the workouts for ten days now. Usually in Cassie’s videos, she’ll tell you ways to alter the move for beginners, but if I find myself unable to do a move, I will take a break and stretch while she continues until I can do a move.
      Also, remember to stretch before and after blogilates, I like the ten minute flexibility stretching video, but you can also do the soul stretches, which are awesome.
      I didn’t know you had to stretch, so for a few days before I realised I was pulling leg and stomach muscles left right and center. So painful! But the stretching prevents injury.
      So it’s ok to take breaks, a lot of us do, but don’t just sit there. Stretch and take some time to drink water and it should be ok. Hope I helped!

    How do I trim down without becoming too muscular? My body type gains muscle extremely easily and I am worried that I will become too bulky…

    My sister worked out for 2 years and it resulted in ROCK abs – like a 12 pack that added a lot of bulk to her body and I have the same body type – I worked out 2 years ago for about a month and I still have the muscle.

    I stopped working out from fear, and now I feel like a total slob and I’m gaining fat and my self confidence is going down… How do I slim down without being too muscular?

    Not sure if there’s room on the calendar, but it would be great to have a list of equipment necessary for each day as well. I travel a lot and would love to be able to plan ahead if I’m going to need hand weights, etc.

    Hi Cassey and everyone.
    I have been doing a video or 2 of yours aaalmost daily for the past week. They’re great – but I’m always in SO much pain the next day or 2 even!! (Thighs, oh man!)
    And some of the moves, I’m a little surprised I couldn’t do (A lower ab move or 2) I’m a Weight Watchers member – and have lost (gain lost gain lost) almost 50 lbs in the past year, and still have about 15 to get to my main awesome goal. And it’s proving difficult for me. So I’m upping my workout (which unfortunately doesn’t mean the scale is happy…) But I’m doing it to trim and tone for my gradual loss so even if my scale number is higher, I still look and feel great. Does anyone have any advice for me? Cassey too?

      It’s suggested that we do cardio with the workouts, because cardio is what burns the fat covering our muscles.

      I was wondering the same thing. Not to get out of working out, but I don’t know how possible it will be to catch up halfway through the month.

        hey monica & cristin
        don’t worry about catching up, just do the remaining workouts, i.e. :start on april 18 and skip april 1-17.
        the workouts aren’t based on or building up on each other, so there’s no reason why you couldn’t start in the middle. 🙂

        of course, if you want to, you CAN do more than the daily workouts, but don’t feel like you have to!! working out should be fun; and catching up on 17 days of workouts by doing double and triple workouts on each of the remaining days doesn’t really sound like fun to me 🙂

      If you mean that they’re more muscular/bulky than you’re comfortable with, I’d recommend yoga and Pilates. I’m a ballet dancer, but my body tends to be more bulky than is the “norm” for ballerinas. To help me stay competitive (because I want to dance as a career and I don’t want something like my body type holding me back) my teacher recommended adding yoga and Pilates into my routine. Cassey has the Pilates covered, but yoga is also really beneficial. It’s really helped lengthen out my muscles, which results in slimmer looking legs. You definitely can’t change your bone structure, but you can change the shape of your muscles gradually over time. It’s worth checking out 🙂

    It’s the 14th today and (even though it says rest day!) I really want to start it as soon as possible/. Should I just go from the 15th and do the 15 days and then start May fresh? It’s probably the most logical but would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any advice.

      oh no! 🙁
      and they don’t work here on the blog (vs. on youtube) either?
      usually, the song workouts are just one move with some variations (e.g. eagle crunches: singles, 2up/2down, 1up/3down, pulses, etc). so maybe you could just “create” your own song workout, i.e. play the song and do the move on your own. or just pick another vid of your choice and sub that for the song challenge.
      OR: try to download the blocked vid as an mp3 and upload it to your ipod (that’s what i do with most vids so i can play them at the gym bc i don’t have an iphone/internet there). but maybe that wouldn’t even work with videos that are blocked, idk 🙁

    Hey Cassey! I want to tone up but not lose weight. I see people are saying that they’re losing a bunch of weight! and I definitely don’t need to. I’m “underweight” for my age, and I want to do your workouts but I don’t want to lose any weight! Do you have any tips, or suggestions? Thanks!

      If you’re already underweight and going to add her workouts, I would recommend eating more! I doubt you’ll lose weight doing her workouts because you’re already underweight, meaning your body will hold on to whatever fat there is left. By eating more, your body will be fueled properly and you’ll have more energy to do her workouts! Also, if you’re looking to tone up, eat more protein to help build muscle! Good luck <3

    I’m not sure if you’ll see this but you might want to have your webmaster/developer look at this page. Before you sign up for the newsletter, there’s no submit button (the one that says “let’s do this”) on the sign up window to the right. So in order to sign up for the newsletter I had to navigate to a different page with a sign up box that had a submit button. Not that it was a huge annoyance and I’m definitely not trying to gripe at you (I work in IT so sadly noticing this stuff is my job TT^TT) I just wanted to say something so you can hopefully fix it and get all the sign ups you possibly can 🙂 thanks for everything you do!! (ps if your IT department needs to know I’m using Chrome version 26.0.1410.43 m on a Win7 system, just in case this is browser-specific)

      use the youtube search bar, and try typing in blogilates after the name of the video. for example, search “heart throbber blogilates” 🙂 I’ve found this usually works for me!

      In my opinion I find the calendar go harder so if you’re beginner, start on the 1st and end on the 20th. But it’s just my opinion 🙂

      Yes, afraid so! They take about an hour in total usually. It’s ok to break them up a bit throughout the day. If you’re struggling, Cassey sometimes suggests move modifications that you can apply to different videos. Give it a go though! I bet you will surprise yourself with how much you can achieve and you will feel so pleased with yourself once you’re done. Good luck.

    I always feel really sick by the 5th video , I was wondering if anyone had some advise to stop feeling so sick my the end?

      Drink water!! ALWAYS remember to breathe deeply through every excersice. Most likely you are feeling dehydrated or you need to breathe more. Try taking breaks between videos.

      They ABSOLUTELY work. They work faster than anything I have ever done. That is no lie sistah! Cassey has some type of gift!! She is absolutely AMAAAAZZZINNNG! But do the calendar! I have lost 6 lbs in 2 weeks! DO IT!!! You won’t regret it! (except for being sore, but even then – you know you’ve done something to change yourself!!) best wishes!

      I am older than most of you girls on here, and I am also probably at least double your weight. And I am losing by doing just about one-third of the workout material from each calendar day. Some of the exercises just don’t work for my current body, and I have aches and pains that are not anything like what you would understand. But my hip problems have gone away because of Cassey’s videos, and my upper body strength is increasing. I have more energy than I have had in years, and I have toned up my muscles. Do as much as you can do and do NOT feel inadequate if you have to modify exercises or if you have to stop early. EVERY movement counts towards that beautiful body!

    Well, I just found you on youtube and you are FREAKING ADORABLE! Do you do calendars every month? I won’t be following this months because I’m on a strict training schedule for a half marathon that I’m doing at the end of the month, but I would love to challenge myself in May!

        Either way I am in love with the april calendar. I am marking my favorites so I can go back and do them if I can still feel my body at the end of the video list 🙂

    just asking for a precision, on your april calendar there are cardio videos where you say “do it 3/4 time”. So in our daily april routine is it just to do one time paired with other video of the day or do we have to do them 3/4 time as well?

      Well you see the workouts that Cassey says do __ times will take around 30/40 minutes and then you may do some othet video for the next 20 mins, but, because on the calendar everything adds up to an hour each day a (which is the recommended time to workout from cassey) nd therefore you dont have to do the workouts 3/4 times!!!

        It is more effective to do them all at once however I think it would still be alright to break it up a bit. But you would get better results if you we’re to just take an hour out of your day and do the whole workout. 🙂

    This was my first time working out with your videos. I have been an avid runner since I was a pre-teen and recently have had some serious knee problems when I took my running to the next level. After doing your videos tonight, I realized my number 1 running problem: I am all-around weak! What I thought were strong leg muscles are pure jelly, and I have ZERO flexibility. I am hoping by the end of April I will have turned things around with your help.

        I think in order to do 5-6 videos a day, some will have to be repeated b/c 127 divided by 26 days is only about 4-5 videos per day. There just aren’t enough videos yet to not repeat some.

(I no. Its not really healthy!!) So yeah im aiming for a 2lb loss every week for 14 weeks and im sososos excited!!!
