Hey guys!

Here is your new #ahMAYzing Workout Calendar!! This month I am having you work different muscle groups throughout the week with a Hump Day HIIT on Wednesdays and a stretching routine on Flex Fridays! Be sure to “tweet what you eat” on Friday too!

New workout videos can be found on YouTube.com/Blogilates every Monday! And the exclusive workout video this month is called “Chisel That Body”. It’s a weighted routine and really digs deep into your muscles quickly. You can find the exclusive workout in the Blogilates App (free to download on iPhone and Android) when you subscribe to the workout calendar.

Now I usually upload the day’s playlists right here on the blog, but this month forward we’re making a change!! You will be able to find all of the daily playlists on my.blogilates.com – our new community where you can make profiles and talk to each other just like facebook.

    Hi guys, I just finished the Beginners Calendar and trying to do the last days of May until the June calendar comes out. However, it seems way harder compared to the beginners calendar!! I know there should be some difference, but this is too much haha! Is there a difference in the beginning of the May calendar and the ending? Is it like gradually building up or something? Because now I get a little bit scared of starting the June calendar… 😉

      If you’re finding it hard, start by doing half of the day’s worth of exercise and as you get stronger build up to doing the full day’s worth! That’s what I am doing and it makes a huge difference and gives you a confidence boost every time you add another workout to your day. Just do what you can do! 😀

    Hey i’m a newby to blogilates, and I was just wondering when we are supposed to do the videos that are assigned on the calendar. Is it better for the morning before/ after breakfast, afternoon, of after dinner some time? When would be the best possible time?

      It really depends on when YOU want to do the workouts!
      My mom does her workout routine in the morning, while I cannot do it right when I wake up!
      I usually do mine in the evening, or right after lunch! It doesn’t matter when, as long as you have the energy and positive mindset whenever you decide to do it!
      I think you should just try different times, and decide when you have the most energy/what time works best for you!

    Does anyone tried the ‘Detox Water’ that Cassey showed ??
    If so, then can anyone tell which one of the recipes is the better one ? ..Or are they all as effective as each other ?

      Other thing, I feel like one of my gluts is rounder and lifted than the other. I try to do the workout equal for both sides but I can see that they aren’t both the same, what should I do ??

      I tried some of the detox waters and I like them all, but I think the ones with strawberries are the best! I find that I drink more water when i make them – I live in a cold place and usually most of my water comes from tea, but this has made a difference. Oh and I just use a normal bottle, it’s not that annoying.

    Anybody else having trouble with the new site? Clicking on the Calendar dates does nothing, April 9 Sweatfest is what always comes up on Today’s Workout, and I had to do a search to get to old workouts that I missed. I’m so sore I CANNOT do today’s, so I’m looking for something else to target so I’m still getting something in!)

    Hi Cassey! I’ve just started blogilates this month and I’m loving it! But, I live on the third floor in apartments and I really appreciated in one of your fat burning videos how you explained to do the squats without being quite as loud. But sadly a lot of your amazing videos require a lot of jumping 😛 any advice on how to still get a high intensity workout in with the calendar, just minus all of the jumping? Thanks! 🙂

    New to this blog and the calendars. Do you do ALL of the videos listed for that day or pick one of the videos listed for that day? Sorry if that seems silly but I got a little overwhelmed at the idea of doing 5 different videos a day. Maybe once I start it won’t be so much?

      You have to do all the videos listed 🙂 Once you start it won’t be that much! It’s only 1 hour a day and it might seem like it is a lot now but you need to workout 1 hour a day(at least) if you want to see those great results! 🙂

    What’s the deal with candlestick dippers? I feel like I can’t get the move right. It hurts my back and I’m not feeling it in my obliques at all. D=

      I feel it in my obliques a lot … took me a bit to figure out the right movement too though.

      As far as I know you’re supposed to go to the side super straight, so no leaning forwards and no leaning backwards (nor having a hollow back – which you might do). Meaning if you would be squeezed in something sideways you’d be perfectly able to do the move …

      Does that make sense?!

    Quick question… if we’re trying to lose weight, shouldn’t we be doing more cardio than one day week? Or are we supposed to be doing cardio along with these videos?

      Cassey explains in one of her videos that Cardio isn’t just the real cardio like running and hiit it. Cardio is everything that gets your heart rate up and many of the workouts do this.
      sure if you want to lose weight quicker it’s okay to do some extra running or fast walking like I do (I can’t run).

      If you really want to burn a lot of fat you’ll have to do much more cardio than once a week (if it’s hiit, running, spinning, swimming doesn’t matter). But that does not mean, that you will lose weight (remember, water ties to muscle and that’s heavier than fat, so don’t worry if your weight increases).
      The most important thing is eating clean 🙂

    I keep getting sharp headaches during the workouts. Headaches are everyday for me, but seem to get worse during the workout. Any idea how I could cure/prevent this problem?

      Hey Samantha! I was having the same problem, and it turned out because i was often dehydrated – i was drinking water, just not enough. Remember they say AT LEAST 8 glasses… that’s just the minimum, as a 21 year old female doing these workouts I was supposed to be having a lot more.

      Mostly try not to move your head that quick or just not too much.. I sometimes get the same thing..

      Try drinking a lot more water. That helped me get rid of my headaches.

      Try to drink more water, more frequently, and see if that helps at all. If I don’t pay close attention, I’ll sometimes get mildly dehydrated, and during workouts I’ll get headaches or moderate dizziness.

      I also think you might be dehydrated but if I was you I would go to the doctor. Because having headaches every day is not normal!

    How much time does the excercise a for one day on the calendar take and in how many days do u actually start seeing results?

      It takes 1 hour each day to do all the exercises.
      Now about the results; some people see results from the first week and some people see results after a few months. Don’t forget that you will also have to eat clean to see those results because it’s 70% what you eat and 30% exercise. Last but not least,don’t worry if you don’t see the number on your scale changing because your fat will be replaced from muscle(no you won’t get bulky but you will be toned). If you want to lose a lot of weight you can do more cardio if you think you can!

      doing them in a row is good if you want to get quicker results but if you are too exhausted or got a lack of time then you can of course split it up into two parts 🙂 it will work fine. I did it several times this way as well. good luck to you Emma! have a wonderful may!

    I took April off and decided to jump back in this month. Today felt like the hardest workout of my life. I had to skip the band one so I did the 5 minute cardio instead. Especially after a month off, the cardio wad hard. Did anyone else die after today’s workout or was it just me.

    For those of you who, like me, are having issues with my.blogilates, go to cassey’s youtube channel everday, she always makes a playlist of the day’s exercises (and then deletes/inactivates it or something at the end of the day), and its just as easy as having them posted here (at least I find)!

    I’ve just finished day one with the thighs exercises and suddenly I started sweating a lot I started feeling sick and awfully dizzy up to a point where I thought I was actually going to faint. I don’t know if these things tend to happen but I’m a bit worried because I had in mind completing the whole May calendar and I’m scared that this could happen again. It’s not the first time I exercise hard (I’m quite slim and fit) and it had never happened before. Any clue? HELP

    I’m so excited and scared at the same time. I have been peaking on this website for a while and every time I finally convinced myself that I wanted to change, I just got scared and backed out. Because of some things that happened lately, I don’t want to back out anymore. The person I want to be and the person I am right now aren’t that different from each other, I realize. I want to feel pretty, not because I get slimmer by doing this workout calendar. But because I will wake up every day, doing a workout or go running in my neighborhood, without being scared of the outside world or what people think about me. My goal for this month is to complete the workout calender and making myself happy, step by step. I’m glad I have this great community to help me show the way 🙂

      Yes, every time you click on “today’s workout” it goes to April 9th. It must have been defaulted somehow. But, under the monthly calendar (right side of the screen), you will see the theme for the day’s workout i.e. sweatfest, cardio, etc. If you click on that, it will give you the day’s workout. And, on the bottom of the day’s workout (at the bottom of the screen under all the videos), you can click either to go back to the day’s before or on the next. I’m sure eventually the bugs will be worked out. Just got to hang in there. I hope this helps.

      You can go to all events, click on month view to get the full May calendar and then click the button to add the whole month to your google calendar or iCal (for mac). Then, every day go to your own calendar (I have iCal), click on the task and you get a link to the full playlist for the day! LOVE that feature 🙂

      Maybe you can try to do half of the videos per day, or just try one in the morning. You don’t have to do all the video, just stay active. And by being active, then it will become easier to finish the calendar.

    CASSEY! Please do a youtube video about internet safety, especially for your younger viewers who post full body shots in their underwear and swim suites with their face showing!. Some girls use their real names when they sign up and then their names can be found on facebook and people can easily find out where a persons from. It could become a place for pervy guys and also cyber bullying if classmates want to post a pic they find of someone on another website. I LOVE YOUR APP!!! AND I LOVE BLOGILATES!! But, i see so many 12 or 14 yrs olds posting pictures of themseleves that they shouldnt because they feel to comfortable on this lovely community- which is a great community- but it is ONLINE and while there are now mostly people who are all supportive its only a matter of time before pervs go on it to look on girls in the underwear. Just a suggestion.
