Quick Thigh Workout + What are you Thankful for?
How was your weekend? It was the first weekend in like 30 days straight that I finally got some time off! Because of the POP Pilates trainings, my Saturdays and Sundays have been all booked. So this weekend I enjoyed some relaxing gym time, shopping, and eating out! It truly felt so good.
I must stress the importance of taking a break every once in a while. If you don’t let yourself rest, your body and your soul can get burnt out. Last week, I had just gotten back from NYC and then threw myself into 2 days of filming. Wednesday’s shoot started at 10am and ended at 10pm. When everyone left, I had one of those nights where I left my makeup on, kept my contacts in, and just DIED on the bed. I was exhausted to death. All of 2014 I had pushed, pushed, and pushed myself and pretty much felt fine. But last week, my body was like NOPE.
So this past weekend felt so amazing! I hope you had a good one too.
Your new Monday video is 6 Min to Sexy Thighs (above)! It’s a grand combination of my fave thigh toning moves in a short amount of time…so you know what that means. It’s TOUGH :D Also just because this is a thighs video, I want to touch upon the whole thigh gap thing. Please remember that your worth is not measured by the distance between your thighs. You are more than a gap. A number on your scale. The measurement of your waist. You are a person with skill, talent, character, a heart…you are more than just the physical.
So even though this is a fitness blog, and we do focus on getting flat abs and perky butts, I hope that on your journey, you begin to find and realize the actual joy in working out. Leave the vanity aside and work out because you like it and it makes you feel good. Then, I promise, the body that you’ve always wanted will follow along.
This week is Thanksgiving week and it also marks week 3 of the #8weekhotbody Challenge! So many POPsters have already seen positive changes in their bodies, weight loss, and have made so many new friends in the community. It’s so cool. I cannot wait to see the after pics on Dec 31st!

I am thankful for you. For your support. And for your friendship. I ran into many of you guys when I was in Orange County this weekend and I loved hugging you and getting to know you. It makes me feel so safe and comfortable to see you. Without you guys, there would be no Blogilates Community, and things would be so different. You help me achieve my dreams every day. Thank you. So. Much.
Oh yah, and those of you on the #8weekhotbody Challenge DO NOT WORRY about Thanksgiving Day! It’s your YOLO meal. You’re good! You get one a week anyway :)

You know, when I was a wee child, I used to beg my parents to take me out to the stores and shop in the madness. Now, I don’t want to wake up that early so I will instead do my shopping from the comfort of my bed on my laptop. I heard some families even grill a turkey in front of the store and have their Thanksgiving feast right there on the cement.
