Hey guys!

So proud of you for finishing #sepTONEber like crazy beasts. Now we have 31 days to shape up for that fun (possibly leggy, maybe midriff bearing) Halloween costume!!

oct 2014

This month I am going to rock your core with some intense ab-focused days. Also, you will notice that the first video of each day is some type of cardio or HIIT because I want you to start sweating and get moving right from the get go!

Your exclusive video of the month is “Total Bodylicious” which can be found in the Blogilates App! I really love this workout because I’m targeting your butt, arms, and abs in a super fun, effective, and graceful POP Pilates routine. You’ve got to download the app right now if you don’t have it! The community in there is soooo motivating!

Now, listen up. I want you to take the next 31 days seriously. Follow the routines I’ve created for you every single day EXACTLY and I promise you that by the end of the month you will look smokin’ and SOLID in your Halloween costume.

Also! To kick off this #Rocktober, I wanted to surprise you guys with a fun contest and giveaway for our community! :) I thought it would be such a cool idea to ask you guys to show me your best plank and get entered to win a ton of cool prizes that I know you will DROOL over. I’ll announce the prizes later because I’m making a video for it, but here are the contest details if you want to get a head start:

#POPstersinPlank Photo Contest!

(Begins Oct 1st . Ends Oct 8th.)

IMG_0700

How to enter:

1) Take a photo of yourself doing a plank (any plank, any style, side plank, on your hands, on your knees, starfish style, doesn’t matter, the more creative the better!)

2) Upload to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #POPstersinPlank. (On Instagram make sure your profile is public or else I can’t see your entry.) I also suggest that if you have more than 1 social media account to upload that pic to all 3 places so you have a better chance of winning, esp. for the 3rd category.

3) You can be any age, you can enter as MANY times as you want, and you can be from any country! Starts today. Ends Oct 8th.

plank stack

To make it fun…I have some cool categories for you to win big in:

*Plank in the Oddest Location*

On top of a taxi? On a horse? Under the sea? GET CRAZY but be safe! :)

*Most People Planking in One Pic*

Pretty self explanatory. And easy to win if you keep checkin’ the hashtag to see the number to beat! You must be in the pic!

*Random POPster in Plank*

This is open to any type of photo! As long as you’re planking you are entered to win!

Alrighty!! I can’t wait to see your pics!! I am going to go create your prize packages now and make a vlog showing you what ridiculousness you will be winning. You will not be disappointed :)

HAPPY #ROCKTOBER!!!

<3 Cassey

PS: For those of you who are concerned about the shutdown of my.blogilates.com (again, I am very sorry) – I will be making playlists everyday on YouTube for you so you don’t have to look up the work outs one by one or you can get all the videos laid out for you in the Blogilates App along with the exclusive video of the month for just 99 cents! I’ll be linking all the #Rocktober Playlists right here. Check back soon. Also, developing some AWESOME new features for the Blogilates App that will help connect you guys closer together. Promise I will make up for everything my.blogilates was supposed to be!

    Hi Ladies,

I would like to seek an advice if what is the appropriate exercise and diet for me as an office girl, since my schedule of work started from 07:00AM up to 07:30PM Monday to Saturday. i was hoping that this upcoming Christmas party of our company i have guts to join and dress up. and also so i can have my body become healthy. Thanks in advance

  • Maria says:

Hey guys! I was just wondering if Cassey is going to post a diet plan for November ’cause I missed the October diet plan :(

  • lia says:

    hey!
I am 12 years old and a bit over weight. i am trying to shape up for christmas so i can get a nice dress. i wanna go HARDCORE but… i am pretty week not able to even do one push-up .Me and my friend are going to start our fitness journy tomorrow. Any tips on how to start? I wanna lose belly fat not foucused on arms or legs. Any tips?

    • Sarah says:

      Hey!
I’m also 12 and started my fitness journey with blogilates in the summer. First thing you should know is that it’s not about loosing weight or trying to look a certain way. We work out and eat healthy because we love our bodies, not because we hate them! It doesn’t matter if you can’t do a pushup now, Cassey provides lots of modifications if you can’t quite do a move yet and you’ll notice your body getting stronger and stronger everyday! I think that you should start out with the beginners calendar just so you can build up some strength and start to understand what blogilates is all about. If you want to focus on mainly loosing belly fat then cardio is your best friend and doesn’t have to be boring. You need to remember though that you can’t spot reduce, so when you do cardio you will loose fat from all over not just your belly. Swimming, bike riding or playing a team sport are all great cardio exercises. When you want to work just your abs try some of Cassey’s ab videos to tone up.

As for your food, make sure your eating enough, around 1800 calories minimum! Too many young girls are starving themselves trying to be ‘skinny’, remember food is fuel and you need it to survive. I’m assuming that you live with your parents and might not have that much control over your meals, that’s totally okay! Speak to your parents and tell them that you want to start living a healthier life, you might be surprised at how supportive they are. However if they are not so supportive just try to make healthy choices wherever possible. For example, instead of coming home from school and eating a bag of chips and a huge chocolate bar, make full use of any fruits or vegetables that are in your house and eat some of those instead.

Last of all is to just have fun, we are both still really young and although it’s great that we want to live a healthy lifestyle, we shouldn’t let it take control of everything we do. Remember that it’s totally okay to treat yourself and eat all your favourite foods occasionally. Wishing you lots of luck with your fitness journey!

Cassey I am so happy the way you solved the work outs by making playlists on youtube for each day! Now I am in China and I found a way to access youtube, so it is easy for me to follow the workouts. However today was the first day this month that I worked out because I had the flue when the month started followed by this weak-body and constant china-stomach. I haven’t been feeling well today, but because I wasn’t feeling happy too I felt that I really NEEDED to do the workouts, because they make me happy :) So THANK YOU Cassey for always making me happy and fit when I work out with you. 1 month and 2 days until my 29th birthday, gonna work extra super-hard with the workouts and food and be the most fit I’ve ever been by then(okay might be difficult since this summer I had done blogilates every day for 4months.., but still!)!

  • Sharon says:

    Hi,

How do I access the videos in the monthly calendar? I have signed up for the newsletter a million times but can’t get to the videos that go along with each day in the calendar..? Where do I enter in the password?

    Thanks,

    Sharon

    • Sarah says:

The playlists for every day are on the blogilates youtube channel under ‘playlists’.

  • jillian says:

I really like how you put the cardio video’s in the beginning of the workouts I hope you continue to do this! :)

  • Joelle says:

I made an account a year ago and I used it daily and it helped me a lot. When i try to re-enter today, I was so sad to see that I couldn’t and that somehow it had been shut. Does anyone knows what happened or where can I log in again!
    Thank you!

  • Angela Terreros says:

    Hey Cassey

I am Angela from Colombia and i just finished the begginer calendar , i need to know if i should star with the january calendar or should i continue with the october calendar…

please let me know, it means a lot for me

    thanks a lot

    Angela Terreros

    • Ras says:

Hey I’m pretty sure you should just continue with the october calendar, then keep following up with each calendar she uploads. you don’t need to go back to the older ones unless you really want to.

  • Lamù says:

    Hi guys!!!
Just a quickie: does anyone know where the “older” videos for the first two weeks of October have gone?
In the Playlist on YouTube the first day available is the 16th! :( I honestly sooo preferred when you had the list of each days video together with the calendar!

Thank you and have a great week!

  • olesja says:

Hello everyone! I have been on a long holiday and when i came back i went to my.blogilates.com to exercise. However every time i try the link i get to this main website. Has something changed while i was away? I use the right password for the calendar and all it lets me do is just to print the calendar! I cant access any video workouts! SOS! Please if you know what i should do to be able to access the calendar videos, let me know! Thank you all in advance!!! xx

    • evie says:

my.blogilates.com has been removed. cassie has an article about it somewhere on here :(

    • Nikki says:

      Hi Olesja,

I’m not entirely sure why, but the my.blogilates.com website is being shut down. However, you find the calendar here and there are playlists everything on the Blogilates Youtube Channel.

      Best of luck!

  • Gilly says:

    Hey popsters,

I used to do Cassey’s workouts all the time but it seems like I’ve lost my motivation. I lost track of exercising because I got extremely busy with preparing for college and I’m off track completely. I can’t seem to get back that motivation and I’m miserable during workouts these days. Does anyone have any advice for me? I feel really lost now and I don’t know what to do because I don’t want to be miserable during workouts. It’s gotten so bad that I can’t even motivate myself to finish a video. Thanks guys!

    -Gilly

    • Hang in there Gilly! It is really hard to keep focused when life gets so busy. I personally struggle because I always want to reach these expectations but then….life happens. The best advice I have is be happy with whatever you are able to give. If that means 5 workouts a week, great! If it means you are really struggling so one workout is all you can handle then that is great too!! College is hard work and and draining in many ways. Check out Cassey’s post about the importance of sleep in being fit. I was struggling and burning the candle on both ends (which made it more difficult to work out because I was so tired.) I took her advice to heart and since making sleep a priority I have found that I have much more energy and am able to work out more often. So Second bit of advice: Do what you need to take care of yourself:) The better you take care of yourself the more you can give in so many ways. Sorry this is long but my heart went out to you! -Kristine

    • jillian says:

I always say the hardest part is starting but you can start small eat healthy and take a walk or do one video and the next day do another then work yourself up to do more just don’t give up and don’t beat yourself up just keep at it and you’ll be great :)

  • Edyta says:

Hi, I have few questions, do we have to do the videos in order? How do you guys stay motivated and did you lose weight or got a flat stomach because of any previous calendars?

  • Leanne says:

    Hi Cassey/Ladies,

Any suggestions for alternative moves which take up a lot of room?I’ve moved about quite a few times the last year and a bit and I’m forever struggling to find enough space to do the exercises(width and lengthways).Should I just repeat the previous move or just do the best I can in the space I have?I think maybe some alternative moves for this problem would be good. Thanks and much love. By the way I Caasey I am always raving about your workouts and cheap, clean eats to all my friends of all ages and shapes.Thank you for being such a geniune, caring, smiley and tough trainer and doing so much for free because in this day and age it really makes a difference when You haven’t got money to go to the gym. So a big cheers from the UK! :) xxxx P.P.S Are there any older ladies with before and after shots? I need some motivation(I’m forty eerrurrghghh something) lol

    • Hi Leanne,

I think that’s Awesome that you are 40 something:)!! I am always inspired by those who set goals and work for them as they get older. It helps me because of a warped perspective I have of getting older so hearing from you helps me:) I lived in Boston recently (no space) and I basically had to just reposition my mat as I switched legs/moves and just did my best. I figure I’d rather give it my best effort whatever I can make work because it will still get me results and help me get stronger and as someone who also can’t afford the gym these workouts are awesome!! The best of luck to you and don’t give up! -Kristine

  • Chris says:

    Hi,

Are you making any apps for Windows 8 phones? I don’t think I’ve found any for that platform :(

  • Kaylyn says:

    Hi Cassey,
First, I must say that I love your videos and I love the way that the Rocktober Calendar is set up. The way you break down the cardio into a little bit every day is excellent because there for a while, it was starting to put a lot of wear and tear on my knees and shin areas. So, if we can I hope we can keep this design for the future calendars. Also, I have been trying to download the Blogilates App on my Smartphone for awhile and it is not downloading for some reason. I would really like to do the Bodylicious workout, so can you please put that one and the other Body Toner one on Youtube since I’m one of the ones who can’t get the app downloaded.

  • Amy M. says:

I really liked being able to go to this website.

  • Marion says:

Hi, I have a little problem. I live in a small appartment with 2 roommates and I can’t do much noise. I tried to do some cardio and apparently it was too noisy (because it’s quite jumpy). Any advice?

  • Gabby says:

Hey can someone help me out; are all the videos on youtube?… I dont know how to find them…

    Please and thank you

  • Maiya says:

We have find the videos on our own now?

  • jillian says:

I just finished day 6 and after the waist whittlers I was beat lol

  • Lindsay says:

I started the beginner’s calendar at the end of August and now I’m following the monthly calendars. Having my neighbour come in after I finished today’s workout and tell me that she is inspired by my commitment to blogilates feels so good! :)

  • Claudia says:

    Hi everyone,

Apparently the exclusive video is total body and around 10 minutes… Could anyone tell me which body parts it works in particular? (for example, triceps, inner thighs, upper back…) I’m trying to decide between Pop Pilates for Weight Loss and Bikini Body 1 as a substitute video.

    Thanks!

  • Nikki says:

    Hello all!

I don’t have any sort of smart phone so I can’t access the “Total Bodylicious WO” from the app. Does anyone have any ideas for replacements?

    Thanks!

  • Ximena says:

Created a playlist for the month in case anyone wants to reference!

  • Vanessa says:

Hello!just one thing..the bodylicious workout is avaible only on app?? I’ve got the app but it doesnt work…have i to pay to see It??? Thanx !!

  • Madelen says:

A question. Does it matter if I don’t do all the exercises for the day in one go? I thought about doing half in the morning and the rest after I get home from work. Would that not work as well or does it even matter?

    • Crystal says:

splitting it up is better than not doing it at all so I say do what is going to work best for you!

      • Madelen says:

That is true. But I can do them all after work but it wouldn’t feel so stressful if I could split it up.

  • Ihuoma says:

Hi I can’t wait the day before Halloween is my birthday(Just wanted to say something random). But remember don’t eat all the weight you have lost we’re all in this together!

  • Hailey says:

I just started a couple moths ago but I want a few of the older calendars but I don’t have the passwords are we able to get them or no?

    • Kathy says:

The Calenders can be looked up without password after the month is over. on the left side of this page are two headlines: ARCHIVES and CATEGORIES. You find the Calendar if you check the list from Categories.
      good luck!!

  • Emma says:

Please please please bring back the lavender ballerina tee in the Blogilates shop!! It’s out of stock and in the clearance, I really hope you don’t discontinue it :(

  • Cindy says:

Love Shake it Off, that would make a great challenge!

  • Hieke says:

Is there a way to comment on the daily workout on this page, like we used to on my.blogilates?

  • aseel madi says:

I am not looking to lose any weight but to tone up and be flexible
I am thin and i dont want my parents to realize that i am getting thinner and thinner
Which workouts should i do ?
Should i do them all in a row ?
    Help please, thank you

    • Claudia says:

Maybe try skipping the cardio videos at the beginning of each day, and only doing the strength training and flexibility workouts? And always make sure that you’re eating enough!

  • Can`t wait for this months Rocktober! Did the workout today and I can already tell it`s going to be great! Love you!

  • Heather says:

    Hey Popsters!

I was wondering how often you personally have dessert each week. Does it change with seasons or holidays?

  • Eva says:

    Hi Cassey!
I have a lower back injury and jumping/hyperextension- so HIIT workouts and exercises like the parachuter- aggravate it. Are there any good workouts to replace the HIIT ones with?
Thank you! Other than those moves (which I skip or replace) Pilates has really strengthened my core and that makes life less painful :)

    • Monica says:

Just do some cardio in place of the HIITs (for at least as much time). Go for a run if you can, or hop on a bike or elliptical :)

  • Emma says:

Just downloaded the blogilates app and I love it – I hope eventually you won’t have to sign in by facebook or twitter to use the forum though, as just want to share stuff with the blogilates community :) xxxx

  • Priya says:

Thank you so much for making playlists per day – it’s so helpful!

  • Graciela says:

I’m sooo EXCITED!! This is my first calendar after the Beginner’s I did today’s workouts and I LOVED it! Thank you Cassey (:

  • Gwen says:

    hi Cassey,
I just finished my beginners calender in september and I’m so ready for #rocktober!
I was wondering, could you do a challenge to the song “move in the right direction” by Gossip?
The song really helps me to stay motivated troughout rough times!
Would be a great motivater in a HARD challenge :)
    xx Greets from Belgium

  • Ally says:

I was a little concerned about the YouTube playlists because sometimes I need to do 2 days in a row if I’m busy one day and Cassey normally posts one playlist a day. But I just realized I can create a playlist by searching the vids and it’s super easy!! I just created a playlist for tomorrow in case I wanted to work out early tmrw morning and Cassey didn’t put the playlist up yet. I don’t know if this makes any sense but I’m happy!

  • Raina says:

Woooo just finished day 1!!! Personally, I love having the days listed in playlists on Youtube! I just have to click play once and then sweat it to the finish line! I have a fitness question though: In moves that involve a jackknife movement, like the rocket move, my hip-flexors hurt, and not in a grrr burn way but in a this feels really off way. Am I doing something wrong? Or are they just needing to be worked out? Thanks!

  • sarah says:

    What happened to my.blogilates? :(

  • Noami says:

Will the app be availabile for Windows Phone? (:

  • Sofia says:

  • Ariane says:

    Hi Cassey!
Maybe you could post each days playlists under the calendar blog post like you used to before the my.blogilates. That was very convinient and we could all still post under each day :)

    • Laura says:

Hey Cassey :) yea I agree, that would be super convenient :)

  • jillian says:

I’m super excited to follow the calendar for rocktober. But I thought you got the password every month I had to sign up again to get it do you have to do that every month?

  • Hieke says:

Oh boy, couldn’t finish the last vid because I just could not hold my legs anymore…. So that’s what you get, for not working out over the summer…. will do the last vid later today.

  • Another month, another amazing calendar. I only managed to do half of the September calendar due to a holiday and being ill, but I’m definitely determined to complete every single video on #Rocktober! Excited to see that there are more cardio this month too, I’m so bad with cardio but I know I need to do more. :P

We can do this together! :) xxx

  • Elena says:

Bye, bye my.blogilates.com!!!!! I just downloaded the app, it’s amazing but I have a question… It’s gonna charge me every month automatically 0.99$?
Btw I looooove #rockoctober and I can’t wait to participate to the contest!!! Cassey you are the BEST!!! Love from a dedicated Popster!!!!

  • Paying says:

For some reason the photo is…blurred or messed up. Please fix! D:

  • Ally says:

Thanks Cassey! I was worried about the blogilates network. But I had not checked because I kept watching the playlists on YT instead. I think I will go back to the app. The contest sounds sooooo exciting!! xD

  • Lianne says:

I subscribed for this month’s calendar in the blogilates app but the calendar comes out empty saying i have to subscribe but when i click it again, Google play says i already own it. What to do? I really like having the calendar in my phone since it becomes really handy for me for when i check the days done…. :(

  • amena says:

I downloaded the app but to see the calendar it ASKS ME TO PURCHASE

    • rene says:

She wrote that just above. It’s .99 to have full access.

  • amena says:

hey I recently downloaded the app of blogilates but after I downloaded it I im trying to go on the calendar but I says to purchase money ??? anyone please help me !!!

  • Monica says:

SOOOO excited to do this! I haven’t yet followed a Blogilates calendar in its entirety because due to my living arrangements throughout college it was always hard to find a spot to do the workout videos without bothering anyone. I was so inspired by the before and after pictures you posted of Emily Pickett this morning–I look about like she did in her before pic right now and the progress she made in 2 months really motivated me. So my solution to not bothering anyone is to drag my sister along with me for the journey hehe. :) Also, can I just say that I absolutely LOVE the name of this calendar!!! Ready to rock it.

  • Sherry S says:

Help! The workout calendar won’t print for me. I click on “click to enlarge and print” and then print and it prints a blank page. Tried it several times. Any suggestions?

  • Jubilee says:

Why was my.blogilates.com shut down? :(

  • A says:

hey cassey you’re so dedicated to this, and it is really touching and inspirational :’)

  • Maria says:

Yay, so glad it’s here, ready to rock tomorrow morning ;-)

  • Kitty says:

This calender is EVERYTHING I HOPED FOR. I haven’t been this excited to do a monthly calendar since I first “graduated” from beginner’s!

  • Leanne says:

Every time I start a new calendar it’s like a fresh start because it’s another month for me to to try! I try my best to do the workouts but sometimes only end up doing 30min because of the crap ton of homework I have and am stressing out about.

  • erica says:

hey, are you at the bolsa chica wetlands in your plank pic?

  • Clara says:

    Hey Cassey :)
I was just wondering: how much time on average do the daily workouts last?
Also, would you recommend doing them in the morning or during the evening?
    Thank you!

  • Nicole says:

For Oct. 1st, what is the first video “VID ON CONTEST”? I looked on the youtube listing and it starts with 5 min fat burner?

    • Katelyn says:

She is going to post that video tomorrow and it will be about the contest and everything it entails. Until then it will not be posted and won’t be in the listings for tomorrow. Hope that clarifies :)

  • Kaylee says:

I just finished my beginner calendar in september. I want to lose more fat, do you think this calendar is good or I should create my own calendar since I want to focus more on cardio instead of toning. Please helppp!

    • Katelyn says:

I would recommend following the calendar because she has HIIT workouts in with most of the days, which does a lot when it comes to also toning and getting you nice and sweating because it has that cardio mix within it. You can always do as I do (I’m a runner) and I will switch around some of the videos to add in 30 minute runs, or on some days I completely do my own thing (like schedule three challenge videos and a long run or do the 1000 squat challenge only). But as a beginner, I would reccomend following that calendar because there is cardio mixed within. Also, don’t forget to focus heavily on what you are eating because that does a lot to help.

      • Adi says:

Thanks for the info Katelyn! I’m also a beginner and this helps alot.
Kaylee, drink lots of water and clear soda, candy and fast food from your meal plan… it helps alot.

    • Veronica says:

I’m not an expert but I can tell you what helped me to lose weight. Before I started following the calendars I used to do 20 minute cardio or hiit (from Cassey’s videos) and then I ended up my workout with 40-50 minute of toning exercises. On Saturdays I just focused on cardio and hiit for about 40-50 minutes. When I started to follow the calendars I continued to do pretty much the same things by adding 1 or 2 cardio videos to the routine suggested. You don’t have to go crazy with your cardio, even 10 minutes can help you to lose fat. What matters the most is that you stay motivated, workout 5-6 times per week and eat clean. I’ve lost 15 Kg with Cassey’s workouts and I feel soooo strong now!
Good luck and stay strong! <3

  • Hannah says:

Hey Cassey! Love all your workouts! But is it possible if you could please put up the workouts here for the month like you did before you had the my.blogilates site? It would be much easier rather than searching for the workouts one at a time on youtube. Thanks!

  • Nika says:
