Hey guys!
It’s 2am and I’m going to blog. It’s quiet and dark, and I am sitting on coach with a bunch of pillows surrounding me – my body is wrapped in a warm blanky! It’s very peaceful actually. No phone calls. No emails. No talking. Just me sitting here writing to you 🙂 That’s why I like to work at this hour.
Just wanted to do a lil update on life happenings so you know what I am doing day to day when I am not blogging or Youtubing!
Some of you may know that as a child, my ultimate dream was to be a fashion designer. I wanted to design dresses for the Oscars…and wedding gowns too! I kept several binders full of drawings and designs beginning in elementary school. Maybe I will show you one day.
Before I even started Blogilates, I created my yoga bag line, oGorgeous in college and thought that that would be a great way to start getting into fashion. I am a self-taught and trained designer…my Biology degree did not teach me how to draw or sew 🙂 As you know, I now do the graphics and the designing for my clothing on shopblogilates.com, so I feel very fortunate that I get to draw and create constantly.
However, I’ve been wanting to get more intimate and more intricate with my designs. I wanted to introduce more innovative fashion, feminine accents, and amazing style into my fitness wear. I wanted to work with the best fabrics that feel soft and move with you.
So…
For the past year, I’ve been working on designing a high quality, high fashion activewear line! It wasn’t until recently that the custom fabric blend we spun came out PERFECT. I mean PERFECT. We tested so many different ratios of cotton to nylon to spandex to supplex until we found the one that made me gasp. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was to go back to the fabric mill a bajillion times to tell them that the fabric just wasn’t good enough. They got so frustrated with me that they wanted to drop me as a client.
But you know what guys, you gotta strive for the best and know what you want. DO NOT COMPROMISE. I never settle for less. Sometimes you will annoy people because they’re willing to put out mediocre quality. Me, never. I keep going and keep trying until it’s right. You just gotta find the right people who believe in excellence too.
Now listen up. This fabric is epic.
When I wear these pants and do the “squat test”, I can’t see my underwear through the fabric! This is break-through for me…I’ve suffered too much with see-thru yoga pants throughout my life. Even “quality” ones that cost $100. This new blend of fabric is so body hugging that it moves with you like a second skin…it’s not thick and it’s very durable…it doesn’t over-stretch or loosen up over the course of your day…it’s super resilient and breathable! My unique blend is called Popflex (c) fabric and will be is used exclusively in the debut of my new line.
I’ve also been working very carefully on the cut of the pants and how it hugs your hips. I made sure that the waist band falls on the perfect place below your belly button so that it makes your legs look longer and your hips look slimmer. I have also been designing sports bras that will hold your girls up, keep them in place, and even give you some lift 🙂 Not that you need it…but doesn’t hurt to use fashion to enhance and flaunt what we’ve got right!?
I also worked as my own fit model. So every piece that I hand sketched in the collection is fitted on my body to make sure that it will fit comfortably on you too! I can’t tell you how many pieces I’ve taken on and off (100s and 100s) until we finally got to the point where I could say “approve”. Designing is much longer and harder process than most may think!
When will it be out? Hopefully sometime this season! I just never know what problems could come up. I’ll let you know what the name of my new fashion activewear brand will be soon 🙂

And finally, OMG, thank you to the POPsters who made this worldwide scrap book for me!! I got home from the PO Box and my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. I opened my package and saw a whole book of letters, messages, and inspirational notes from POPsters all over the world.
I can’t believe you took the time to make this together and send it to me. My heart feels so warm and I am in awe. I feel like this is a yearbook!!! I am so happy to know that being a part of the Blogilates has helped you create long lasting friendships with one another…from 1000s of miles away! I am forever smiling 🙂
I can’t wait to launch the Blogilates Community so that you guys can get closer to each other for real. Facebook makes it way to hard to connect. I am pushing hard to get the project finished for you! I know you will absolutely adore it!

OH MY GAWD I CAN`T WAIT!! But first I have to talk my mom into getting the power pack for easter so I can tone up these thighs of mine lol. I absolutely looove your Blogilates clothes I have been talking to my mom about getting some Blogilates goodies for my birthday in May and I can`t wait to see what she will say! Anyway… I already love the clothes you design and i can`t wait for more too come out but what i am really looking forward to is…the SPORTS BRAS! Hahaha yes I know that its a bit weird but i just love all of these really sports bras with the fancy straps. I just think that they are soooo cool and can`t wait to actually have one! <3

I am SO EXCITED for these pants- I have always had that problem with the see-thru pants when I bend down. It got so bad, I was embarrassed to stretch after running with my girlfriends, my flexibility has gotten worse. I will totally need these pants, thanks for caring Cassie :))))))

Congratulations on designing your own fabric line! I am so excited to hear this as I am forever on the lookout for the best workout wear at reasonable prices with the right material. Waiting eagerly for your line to come out so that I can purchase. Just some suggestions. I have worked in intellectual property field before training to be a patent attorney. If you have come up with a completely new fabric blend, you could look into patenting it. And securing design rights for your designs and silhouettes. And trademark for your name “popflex”. These will help you greatly moving forward in this field and will protect your hard work! You don’t want big companies like Nike etc stealing your work! Just some ideas for you 🙂

Okay, so I know this article is big about the clothes and they sound amazing! But, something else caught my eye. I, too, have wanted to be a fashion designer since I was really little. I would wrap my big, bed comforter around me creatively and walk down the stairs like it was an evening gown. Then, when I went to college, I studied Biology. I love science. People look at me funny when I tell them I went to school for Biology but I also want to be Fashion Designer. It’s so randomly awesome that I found someone else who has a similar experience. And it’s someone I so admire for her hard work and perseverance. The world is crazy! Just another reason why you’re awesome. 🙂

Wow just hearing about your collection makes me excited! I’ve been searching for a pair of non-see through yoga pants since I found out what I wear right now is VERY see through, but I haven’t found anything perfect and was just going to resort to spending $100 at lululemon. So put your collection out as fast as you can, I’m definitely getting a pair from you instead!

But will there be a better range of sizes? I’m a UK 14-16 so the stuff in your store doesn’t fit me as it stands. now about the sport bras. here is something that you might hopefully take into consideration 😛 I got big boobs, it’s just a fact. so it’s really hard for me to find a sports bra that’s tight around me. sure it might fit but as soon as I need to jump or something like that my boobs go everywhere. it’s seariosuly frustrating. so could you maybe design one especially for those with bigger boobs, so that it has a little wider and stronger elastic band thingy under the boobs and that the material of the bra is firm, a little elastic but doesn’t give away much, so that basically everything is firm in place and things don’t start moving around because I need to jump or am going for a run or a jog. (trust it’s amazing how big of a problem this is for me. I find sport bras that fit and seem fine, but the band isn’t strong enough under my boobs and the fabric is too elastic so it doesn’t really do much. it’s like girls that work out a lot aren’t supposed to have big boobs… please help since you’re designing sport bras 🙁
I’ve got big boobs, too, and I find that the only sports bras that work are the ones that clasp at the back (this could be because I have a small rib cage, too, so if I can get one of the pullover ones over my breasts it’ll be too big underneath). It’s also really important for it to encase each breast so it stops movement in all directions to protect the ligaments.
I have the same issue-the only ones I’ve found that work are the underarmour ones. Love them!
Anna, I agree. Underarmour ones are amazing. Have you tried lulu lemon’s tata tamer? that one works for me too (I also wear it as a normal bra on my lazy days because it really lifts and separates!)

Wonderful. sounds interesting. I’m curious to see/feel the clothing and test for myself if it really is all you claim it to be.. (I’m a lot more… “curvy” shall we say than you are, so, that underwear test, I’m curious to know if it is actually true for all women, or just those with smaller figures such as yourself.
Has it been tested on larger women too? If not, will you have that done and let us know the results??

Please please PLEASE tell me it will be available in plus sizes. So many people these days make workout clothes for the thinner people, and leave out the overweight plus size people trying to get fit.

Ohhh my goodness! This is literally going to change my life! I have that curse of not being able to wear workout pants without seeing right through the fabric more than you should! During my hot power yoga classes I have to place myself at the back of the room because I am afraid of the view people will see of me during each pose! I may be 21 now, but I have no paypal or what so ever. I got a master card and a credit card since I visited USA California (now three years ago 🙁 ). I so wanna go back there some day. I miss it very much. Miss the people there and the places. I live in Europe and I often feel like here we’re far too stiff. I also miss the language. back to your clothes: It sounds fantastic! really! I’m happy for you that you finally found the right fabric and I admire that you never give up if you want something! 🙂 I am still learning to get back to who I was before I got into school. My parents told me that as child if I wanted something I’d crush walls to get it. they say that there has happened something in school which completly changed me. I became so insecure and shy. Thanks to communities like this one I kept on living and you POPsters all over the world… I love reading your comments! Whether on youtube or here. they make me smile and feel that I’m not alone and what Cassey says is true: We’re all strong and beautiful.

THANK GOD!! I have been looking for a really long time a sports bra that really keeps everything still in their place.
I really, really can’t wait for the community! I’ve been trying to find some more people to connect on a regular basis and I found this facebook group. And 3 days in, the girl who created it posts a video about reasons you need to lose weight. She starts off with stuff that had to do more with a healthier lifestyle, so I thought, great! And then she starts: You need to lose weight to be able feel beautiful. You need to lose weight to like what you see in the mirror. You need to lose weight to be able to wear nice clothes. I mean, ugh… Cassey, the message you’re spreading is so beautiful and so positive and so sane, and I can’t wait to connect to people who share the same philosophy. Blogilosophy haha!
And I’m so excited for your activewear line! You’re such an inspiration to me and a huuuuge proof that when you follow your heart you’ll get where you want and are meant to get to! <3

Can you please make the bras available in larger cup sizes? I’m a 36DD, and I can never find affordable sports bras because most only go up to a D cup 🙁
Ohhh I feel you girl! Took me quite some time to find one that fits! I’m so happy I found the right one a few years ago.. It was 50 euros (70 dollar) but totally worth it! I’m from Holland though, but my bra is called the anita rosa faia sports bra, a high level sports bra. Sorry if this sounds like a promo post but I love love love this bra and I know how hard it is to find the right one. good luck!!
You can always try eBay. It’s my go to for larger bras(34DDD) as people have Ebay stores for new stuff and it’s affordable. You can find name brand stuff cheaper there as well.
hehe try being a 30 G. There’s loads of stuff online.
Cassey, Thank you so much. You have inspired me so much in this life, and I honestly don’t know where I would be right now if it wasn’t for your videos. Now, I’ll be honest, I’m not a super devoted POPster like most of the people in this community, but you started and fueled my passion for a healthy life. Because of YOU, I went from 180 pounds to 125. I always thought of working out as boring and monotonous, and then I found you one late night because I was so desperate for a change. I do some of your workouts regularly, but I also do a lot of other things. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to run, and I do Hatha and Ashtanga yoga. I eat super clean almost all of the time, except for my yolo meals (which, btdubs, YOU taught me were okay to have), and I have such a passion for being healthy and active. And now you’re going on and making even more of your dreams come true!!! You are truly an inspiration, and I know I speak for everyone who has ever seen your videos when I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love always, Rachel

Holy crap, I am literally SO EXCITED for your new clothing line. I really hope you will do some side tie booty shorts for this line as well – I do hot yoga as well as Blogilates and these are essential! I am especially excited for cute bra tops – something I’ve always wished you would make! Cannot wait for those clothes! Is there ANYWAY we can convince you to print more of the 2014 journals? Please please please?!?! They look so amazing and I’m sad for the day my 12 week journal is through.
Either way- thank you SO MUCH for everything. I tell everyone about Blogilates and I’m pretty sure they think I’m crazy but I don’t care…my life has bee made 100% better.

I can’t wait for the new activewear line! I have a couple of your tops and love them. But I like my bottoms to be more active because I love to run and do pilates! Super excited!
