Best Obliques Workout + NYC Recap!

Best Obliques Workout + NYC Recap!

Hey guys!

Just got back from NYC a few hrs ago! You know, as much as I love New York…I just cannot with the cold. I don’t know what it is, but coldness makes me sluggish and unmotivated but cold can’t stop us POPsters! I had such an amazing time meeting all of you in Soho and Nanuet!

ANYWAY!! Before I get into the photos…do my new obliques workout! 6 Min to a Sexy Little Waist! Make sure that during the Rainbow Obliques, you are giving me a full curvature from your toes to your fingers. This is how you will truly feel the move in your waist.

Alrighty…now to pics!

This was the SOHO meetup! So many POPsters in 1 room. You guys KILLED IT! Great rhythm. Amazing energy. OMG, you guys made me so happy that day. Loved hugging all of you and hearing your stories 🙂

I also want to give a personal shoutout to my under 18 year olds. When I arrived at the SOHO 24 Hr gym, I saw a girl crying at the front of the gym and I asked her what was wrong. She said she couldn’t go in because she didn’t have a guardian. I was super confused and upset. Went upstairs, talked to some managers and found there somehow was a big miscommunication. I was super heartbroken. So girls…I am so sorry, I take full responsibility and I will make it up to you in 2015 when I come back for the Blogilates National Tour. Promise.

The next day I had another meetup in Nanuet and then went on to train my new POP Pilates Instructors! This is a glimpse of the New York team in training! I seriously cannot wait for the classes to get started up in Jan 2015. Craziness!

Let’s talk about food. (How can you not when you’re in NYC!?) The one thing that I could not wait to eat was my fave sushi in the world at Beyond Sushi. It’s vegan sushi and it has the most amazing flavors ever!!! Your tastebuds will be sent to heaven! You just trust me on this one.

That pic above was my ultimate YOLO in NYC. I found this place called Pizzarte near my hotel (chic sit-down restaurant) and OH MY GOODNESS the pizza was sooooo good! They have a whole gluten free menu if you’re interested, but I went hard core for the ridic stuff 🙂 I ordered the “Pizzarte” which was made with Burrata Cheese, Butternut Squash, Spicy Italian Sausage, and Thyme. I nearly died at the first bite. SO. GOOD.

Alrighty, well that is all for now! I am home now and just about ready for bed. So have a fantastic start to your week 2 of the 8 Week Hot Body Challenge! And I’ll see you soon!

Hello Cassey: When I read this post, I marveled at how you are doing so much and so glad that you have youth on your side. Reading through the comments above, I thought how wonderful your relationships are with those you can help. Congratulations! Looking back at all you from the other side of age 70-ish, all I can say is: please remember to really take care of yourself, and don’t let images and goals imprison your spirit. In short, check in frequently and make sure you’re making choices that make you happy. Bless you.Anne

    Hello Cassey!
Yesterday evening and also today morning I tried to buy whole version of your Blogilates App (0.99 / mo) to have access to calendar all the time. I always pay with my card while internet shopping and never had any problems, but this time the App Store rejected my payment saying “wrong paying method” (my card type, number and others were 100% correct). I’m from central Europe, could this be that problem (full app is only for US) or what could be problem than? Blogilates app is the only one I’m willing to pay for. 🙁
And also I wanted to ask if there is any chances to find out how many calories I burn during each of you youtube.com videos? I started with working out again and tracking my daily income and I’m also trying to track burnt cal / kJ during my exercieses.
Thank you for both answers and also for everything you doing for us, because I’ve already once followed your advices and videos and it really worked!!
    xoxo P.

I was able to make it to the meetup but had to go before meeting you. I was in line and waited for over an our but had another engagement. Sadly it takes me an hour to get home and it was gonna take another hour to get to my destination. It was great taking the class because I SO sore the next 2 or 3 days. It’s so much different when you don’t have to have to press the pause button. It was amazing. School has been hard on my workout schedule so this motivated me to start up on your workouts again. This meetup was exactly what I needed. I hope you come back soon!

I agree! I live in NY and the cold just makes me so unmotivated sometimes. But my class work stresses me out even more and I get motivated again to workout! 😀 Since I was unable to meet you this time (thanks to school work & being too busy for my birthday) I will definitely find a way to meet you when you come back for your tour!! :DD

Hi Cassey, I just had a quick question about how many servings of fruit you consume a day.. I feel like I may be over doing it a little bit.

      Thanks!!

Wow you need a bigger room for all those people! Nice to see to many ppl there. That sushi & pizza looks absolutely amazing. Did you try Pure Food in New York? They are vegan as well. When will there be a Blogilates meetup in Toronto, Canada? I’d love to come! I’m new to blogilates just finished my first week of the beginners workout calendar & I’m still sore from yesterday’s workouts! Sending love to Cassey & fellow popsters!

I agree, cold weather is gross and mucky!! The only time I like snow is when it it Christmas (because it feels Christmasier) otherwise it sucks. If you ever decide to come to Canada, make sure that you come during the Summer months, otherwise you will be dressed in layers trudging through four feet of snow. It does make for a great workout though 🙂

    Hi Cassey!

It was so awesome to meet you! I still can’t believe it!
Thank you so much for having a class for your fans and free!!! It was so surreal to be there with you.
I was one of the first ppl to get there and to greet you (42 yr) 🙂
I was so nervous I got so tongue tied.. I was supposed to say hi to you from my boyfriend, the first thing he asked was “did you tell her i was a fan?” lol

Anyway just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH for all you do for us, you’re a beautiful soul!
    Much love <3

p.s. next time bring some merchandise i would've loved to buy some tanks

that workout is just great! I paired it today with the booty workout from last week cause I hadn’t a chance to do it yet…. damn my butt and abs are burning!!!! Thank you so much 🙂

  11. Katie Shin says:

I wish you could make a detour to Wenatchee when you come to Seattle. Only 3 hrs away by car but getting through the mountain passes in December…not happening. Sometimes I think I moved to the wrong side of the mountains in Washington. Sigh. ;_; #CasseyHoRocks

  12. I would definitely visit the place you’ve eaten. It seems very delicious.

  13. I agree, the cold weather will get you unmotivated to workout. But of course, as a fitness fanatics we can get away with it and we can reward ourselves by food trip. I would love to try that food when I visit NYC.

  14. Hi Cassey! Glad you had fun in chilly NYC. That is some colorful sushi. Looks delish! Have a great Tuesday:)

  15. Jen says:

    Hey Cassey!
Thanks for all your hard work putting these videos together! They are amazing and I am hooked! I noticed there are a ton of videos for inner thighs, which is great – but how about outer thighs? That is my real problem area (the whole saddlebag area just wont budge!) Can you recommend one or maybe do one that focuses on outer thighs? Thank you so much!!!!! XOXO

    1. ashley says:

There is one called saddlebag shaver under page five of the leg/thigh workouts in the video section. There is also a link to it in the beginner calendar, but I don’t remember what day it was.

      1. Jen says:

        Thank you!!!

  16. Andreanne says:

Do you think you’ll ever come to Canada for certifications?

    Also that pizza looks incredible!

  17. Cici says:

Cassey, PLEASE come to Edmonton, AB, Canada on the Blogilates National Tour! Don’t forget about your Canadian POPsters 😀

  18. So sad I missed you while you were in NYC. Next time you’re in NYC, I’m there!

  19. Allison says:

Happy you had safe travels!! Day 2 of awesome soreness from the core down, yesterday was a stretch day, but now I think it’s time to wake up my favorite – arms!!! ;D And upper back because Christmas parties are a-comin’ – I love your cocktail dress series! That food looks DELICIOUS! NYC treated you well. <3 Hope to see you again next time you're on the East coast, thanks a million times for such an amazing training day! ~Allison
