And so it begins!!!

And so it begins!!!

Hey POPsters!

Happy Monday! Your new workout video will be up soon on Youtube! It’s the first in your “On Fire” series…we start with your favorite…abs!!!

And now…let’s talk about #JuneOnFire and this whole Dietbet thing. I am so happy so many of you are doing this with me! (And anyone who still wants in, you still can!) Yesterday I weighed myself after not stepping on a scale for months. To tell you the truth I was a little nervous! It’s kind of like being on American Idol and seeing if the judges like you or not. There’s always a moment where you have to hold your breath! Anyway, I carefully stepped on and was happy to find that my weight was not more than my starting weight last year when I was leaning down for the bikini comp.

I want you to know that I wasn’t really sure whether or not I should be public about this weight loss journey (numbers wise) for a number of reasons, but decided to say “WHATEVS!” and do it anyway because  it will benefit you to see how I am taking control of my own transformation. As your friend and your instructor, it is important for me to be transparent with you and show you that getting fit isn’t some crazy secret. You don’t need expensive foods and tools. It’s about eating whole, natural foods and being active once a day. What keeps us from our goals is that sometimes life gets in the way and we indulge a little too much or can’t find time to exercise. I totally get it. Happened to me too. But you know what, this June we are no longer making excuses. We will MAKE TIME. We will cook our food. We will take the stairs. We will do that extra rep! We will not snack out of boredom! <– guilty! ;P

Wanna know something funny? Did you know that “cassey ho weight” and “cassey ho height” are highly searched on google when you type my name? LOL. Well, I said I was gonna be super transparent and above you can see my weight on the scale as of June 2, 2013! I am 5’5″ and need to get to 121.7 by July 1, 2013. That means I need to lose 1.275 lbs per week for the next 4 weeks to meet my goal. Totes doable and totes healthy rate! When I posted this pic on facebook, there was some controversy as to why I was doing this and how I am already “too skinny” and that my weight loss challenge is discouraging. After reading comments judging my body on both extremes within a span of a few days, I’ve decided to once and for all ignore it for good! Listen. Whether you think I’m too “fat” or too “skinny” – it does not matter how I look, it matters how I feel. And what I want to feel is more fit, more energetic, and more beast! In fact, I had one of my best workouts in a while yesterday because of this Dietbet game! It revved my engine up and kicked my booty into high gear. As a fitness instructor, my goals will be different than your goals. We are all here to encourage and support one another towards our own potential. That’s the least that we can ask of each other on this fitness journey.

I will be blogging and instagramming my food, my workouts, and my sweaty pics on @Blogilates. I encourage you to do the same. I want everyone to take June seriously and REACH those “dream goals” and turn them into reality in the next 4 weeks. If you have an instagram, take pics of your meals and post them throughout the day like a food journal. It will help you. I promise. Once you KILL a workout, post a #sweatypic. If you don’t have an instagram, make one now and follow your fellow POPsters for inspiration!  Everything we do this month, please either use #Juneonfire if you’re following the calendar or #Blogilatesbet if you’re doing the weight loss challenge with me. This will allow you guys to easily find each other and me to find your pics so that I can like and comment on your progress! Feel free to comment below and share your username.

I’m sooooooo happy to be working out like a crazy person again. Really.

This was my workout yesterday, try it!

THE SWEAT SET! set 1 set 2 set 3
1 kettlebell swing x20 x20 x20
2 burpees with pushup x15 x15 x15
3 box jumps x20 x20 x20
4 medicine ball pushups x20 x20 x20
5 split lunge jumps holding med ball x20 x20 x20
6 up up down downs x20 x20 x20
7 squat to med ball throw x20 x20 x20
8 plank frog hops x20 x20 x20
9 hollow rocks* x20 x20 x20*

*This indicates that my last hollow rock set turned into something else…Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors” came on and I decided to just do 8 min of various ab moves. All I can say is that my abs are really sore now 🙂 This was a TOUGH workout! I then followed with cardio by doing sprints on the treadmill. I did 10 sets of 30 seconds sprinting at 10 MPH and 30 seconds of rest in between. It was intense.

And in other news…

A suppppper yummy recipe is coming to you on Thursday on our next episode of Cheap Clean Eats. Can anyone guess which sinful treat has been healthified? Here are the ingredients…

ingreds

Have a great start to June and a FANTASTIC WEEK!!!!! Let’s go crazy! I’m here for you – I’m here with you.

Sweat Happy 🙂

<3 Cassey

I know that self confidence, self worth, happiness, loving your body (etc.) is what you are all about and I am just trying to find strength within myself and it is such a hard battle I am fighting. My mother and father are getting divorced and so my mother takes out the aggression on me sometimes in words during arguments like when I haven’t cleaned the kitchen (cause I’m a busy 20 yr old.) I know that she doesn’t mean it when she tells me “You honestly think you are going to look like that Blogilates girl”… “come on now…let’s be real. you look nothing like you did three years ago.” It kills me because I lose a part of me every time we fight. I am 5’9″ and 138 pounds. I am not that bad…. I would love to be skinnier but it’s hard for me when I’m constantly at rehearsals for the show I’m doing. I just want some advice…be it from you or from the blogilates community…How do I keep myself motivated and proud of myself?

    1. Lamine says:

I’m a busy busy 23 yr old–work outs? When? I would say, break up the workouts, everyone has a spare 15 or 10mins through out the day, whip out a Cassey WO and rip through it. Maybe get up and extra hour early to fit in the work out, but whatever you choose, make your workouts a PARTY for you. Be motivated because getting the body you want is personal and no one else can tell you how or when to achieve it; you set the goals, it’s your party; it’s a YOU party, celebrate what your body can do NOW, and what you know it can achieve later :). Best of luck and love from a fellow popster!

      Dear anonymous,

I’m responding to your post not as a professional, or even someone who knows you well, but as another member of the Blogilates community with whom your story resonates. First, try to remember that the things your mother is saying come from a place of pain that has been built up for a long time. Try to think of that pain as a type of filter. If you removed that filter, what would she really be saying? Maybe she needs help, or feels lonely, or is worried about you. My therapist asked me to think about things this way, and it has honestly changed my life. Also remember that you can choose to NOT be a part of that pain. You can remove yourself and focus on being the best “you” that you can be.

As for weight loss, your mother is right. Even if we work out every day, it’s unlikely that any of us will look like Cassey! Although I have always found Cassey incredibly inspirational because I feel like she has a real body (not photoshopped or starved), you also have to remember that she is a professional fitness instructor. Being fit is what she does professionally. What do you do that takes up most of your time? Are you a student, a performer? What is it that you are passionate about? Take pride in that passion. The other message that the Blogilates community supports is being as healthy as you can. If you’re a busy 20 year old, then do what you can. Any exercise is better than no exercise at all, and any healthy eating is better than not trying to eat clean.

So, do your best, eat as clean as you can, workout as often as you can, and be kind to yourself. The world probably won’t be.

      I hope this helps,

A fellow member of the Blogilates Community

    3. Steph Mignon says:

Girl! I’m new to the blogilates community, but I just wanted to say that 5’9 at 138 lbs. is amazing! I’m 5’9 at 143 lbs. and have never felt better. I’m fit, strong, happy, and healthy. Don’t let your Mom get you down. Just follow Cassey’s advice to find the place where you FEEL your best.

  6. Leo says:

  7. Amanda says:

I did this workout today. BREATH. TAKER.! no doubt I had some good cardio there! Thanks 🙂

  8. Jenny says:

I really wish you would post your own workouts at the gym, I love watching your videos, but I love getting ideas for the gym as well!

  9. Sumana says:

    Cassey

You are awesome. Good luck on your goals. I started your workouts in April and my goal was mainly strength and toning. I am already at my ideal weight therefore I didn’t take challenge. I got my boyfriend to start blogilates with me too. I love it! We both do it together 4 – 5 times a week. Its awesome to see his progress and mine. Thanks you and good luck on your goals! Llots of love from Calgary, Canada. Please visit us and do a meet up here. I was in NYC and missed your meet up by one day. Come to Canada!!!

  10. Elizabeth Abilez says:

Hello! I started today. I wanted to challenge myself and took a look in the mirror and realized I was NOT what I thought I looked like. I had to face the truth. I picked this for several reasons. 1) I don’t have insurance BUT know there is something going on with my abs. 2) I had a work accident and literally tore the skin off my knee and was out of the gym for 7 weeks. So I gained weight both by not being able to exercise like I was (pretty much my abs were getting to be tone and fit then POOF) AND the medication I was taking was horrible on my system. I am slowly getting back to where I was pre work accident, 3) There is a history of heart problems in my family so the weight I will lose is one step closer to a healthy heart and weight off my knees.
I am having some tech problems with loading pics on instagram and twitter from my phone BUT I am NOT giving up!
I am grateful for all the help and encouragement blogilates brings. It is a wonderful way to add to my healthy life. Keep it up!
AND if someone says you are too skinny, be gracious. I suggest you say thank you, but I am determined to challenge myself 🙂 As a fellow teacher, how else will we learn unless we are selves are the student?

  11. Abby says:

Thanks for posting your workout and what you did! I love it. Can you post a schedule for what you do at the gym every day of the week so we can also follow that?

  12. Nicole says:

    Hi All 🙂
I am doing dietbet and I am just wondering if there is a meal plan that I should be following along with the June calendar?

    1. Nadia says:

      I have the same question!

    2. Ági says:

Just “eat clean” – that is, no greasy, processed or unhealthy food, eat HEALTHILY 🙂 But I often look for tips in the 90 Day Challenge (you can find it here at “MEAL PLANS”), it helps a lot 🙂
      Good luck for the Dietbet!

    3. Jessica Frankovich says:

There are meal plans you can follow as well under meal plans!

  13. Otis says:

Hey Cassie(= I’m from Argentina and I’ve just finished the monday videos! I haven’t done the *new workout* though as it isnt uploaded yet. Anyway, I’m really happy with this whole new way of exercising; it’s super fun. Thank you and big big kiss from South America.

  14. Claire B says:

Cassey- thank you so much for posting your own workout! I love seeing what you are actually doing; although I’m going to follow the June calendar because I’m already pretty much in prime condition and can’t lose any weight – so I’m just working out and eating right as usual! Love you so much!!!!

  15. Julia says:

Cassey, I love your videos you are so inspirational!! Don’t let people get you down. Thank you so much for taking this journey with everyone together, it’s so nice to see that even fitness instructors are normal people and go through ups and downs. We are all people just trying to achieve the same goal of feeling healthy and fit!

  16. Tawana says:

    Cassey,

You are the greatest! Please do not let ignorant comments affect your wonderful spirit. You touch so many people with what you do for us all! Thank you! Onward through June.

  17. Christine says:

I have a BlackBerry so I can’t use Instagram. Do you use Twitter often and respond there, too?

    1. Ági says:

oh yes, she uses Twitter often 🙂

  18. Kathleen says:

Cassey, thanks for posting up your gym workout!..It’s always nice to know what a fitness instructor ‘really does’ to get in great shape. I just discovered your site a few weeks ago and I’m loving it.. 🙂 Fun workouts and I *love* the simple recipes–nothing drives me more crazy than a recipe that has you running the aisles of the grocery store for 45 mins..though I guess that’s a workout too ;). I wish I could participate in the dietbet but my fat loss is so slow and stubborn that I will be happy to lose 1-2 pounds this whole month (I have 5-7 to lose altogether). Would love to hear your tips on losing the last 5 (or more specifics on what you are doing to lose those last couple pounds). Good luck to everyone on reaching their goals..!!

  19. jones says:

I started doing your videos mid April, and I’m SOOO glad I found you! I am a busy Mom of 3 kiddos, and have always had an on again, off again kind of exercise routine. Honestly, seriously, you are the only thing (person) that has ever kept me motivated! I have been exercising 6 days a week (unheard of for me!) and eating cleaner ever since, and I owe it all to you! The change I see in myself (both physically and mentally) is super exciting, and I can’t wait to see where I’ll be in the coming months.
So THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Keep doing what you’re doing, we all appreciate it more than words can say. You ROCK!! ~ @fitfreak85 ~ follow me on instagram!

  20. V says:

Wanna join, but what can I use instead of kettleballs?

    1. Amanda says:

before I had a kettle bell I just used a plain dumbbell! still works great! 🙂

  21. Sophia says:

Hey, I live on the East Coast and work out around 2:30 and the new video wasn’t up yet. I did the rest of the workout for today (monday) but I was just wondering if you could get them up sooner? Idk maybe there were technical problems. Thanks, love you!

  22. Cordelia says:

    Hi,

I have a question: the workout you posted in this post (the one you did at the gym). Should we follow the June calendar, or not? Should we include other workouts?
Cassey, are you following the June calendar? Because yesterday was ‘official’ rest day.
Just wondering because I’m slightly confused!

    Thanks so much, <3

  23. Elena says:

    Hi Cassie!
Just curious, but why is written ‘karate’ in the piece of paper next to the scale? 😀

I started your workouts mid April, and I’m so glad I found you! I am a busy mom of 3, so I have always had an on again off again kind of exercise routine. You are honestly the only thing (person) that has kept me motivated, ever! I exercise 6 days a week now and am eating cleaner because of you, and before that would’ve been unheard of for me!! I’m so excited about this change in myself, and I owe it to you!! I’ve even got a few family members and friends hooked on you.
So thanks for all you do, you seriously rock!!

Healthy waffles! Hopefully at least! I’m going to Hawaii in 6 weeks and while I can’t join the dietbet, I’m most certainly stepping up my game like last summer. Thanks for everything you do for us, Cassey!

Thanks for this – just in time for me. I really love that your posted your workout routine.

  28. Gretchen says:

You go girl! Can’t wait to see your results!

  29. Frances says:

Hi — thanks for planning all this — and an even bigger thanks for posting your weight. Not because it is anybody’s business, but I think that we place way too much on the actual number, so to put it out there and say “hey — this is what it is, I am not ashamed” is really powerful. I had hidden my weight for the dietbet — but since you posted yours, I am really thinking about posting mine. It is a number, it doesn’t define me and why should I keep it a secret.

    Thanks for making me think!

  30. Danuta says:

Cassey, first on all, I love you and thank you so much for all your workout videos that are essential part of my fitness maintenance. But I don’t like your inconsistency in your decisions. With this post you totally contradicted your earlier post about how that number on the scale doesn’t meant anything. So, how is it? What does that number on a scale mean to you. By doing this weight loss you are showing how this is your happiness determining factor, rather then learning how to be happy with yourself by doing other things. This number on the scale is a evil especially when you work out because you know that muscle weights more then fat and you may not see a lot of change in that number but see a lot of change in body tone.
Thank you for listening and I hope you find your peace with whatever decision you are making.

  31. Chelsea says:

I made an instagram just for this challenge! This morning I was feeling very tired and unmotivated until I noticed someone liked my before picture I posted last night. So I searched #blogilatesbet and am amazed by everyone’s hardwork and support. So excited to be a part of this amazing community and to start the calendar. Sweaty pics soon because I’m going to beast my workout!

  32. Melissa says:

    Hi Cassey-
I am unsure if I should join the DietBet because my current goal is both to build muscle and burn fat. Since muscle weighs more than fat, technically, if I were succeeding, wouldn’t I gain wait or maybe stay the same? I also don’t want to deprive my rebuilding muscles the nutrients they need to rebuild by restricting a high number of calories to lose weight. Do you have any suggestions? It seems like someone like you who is very toned might lose muscle when they lose weight. How do you keep yourself strong while trying to lose weight?

Thanks so much. I love your workouts. I find myself cracking up during them, which just keeps me going longer.
    -Melissa

  33. Taylor says:

    Hi Cassey!

I just did your workout from yesterday, and it was killer! Please keep posting workouts like these. I love pilates, but sometimes a good old fashioned bodyweight workout is just what I need.

I also want to thank you for being completely honest. I know it must be rough for you to be judged to the high standards our society holds for fitness professionals, but as I need to lose weight as well, doing it along side someone makes it much more manageable. Keep up your awesomeness!

  34. Janita says:

    Hey Cassey! 🙂

What is your diet and workout routine like this month when you’re trying to lose the weight? Will it be like the 8 week bikini challenge or the 90 day challenge? 🙂

  35. Tegan says:

Will there be a beginner calendar for this month?

  36. T.J says:

    Is that maybe CUPCAKES ^O^

    1. Mary says:

I think you are right!! 😀

  37. Cristina says:

    1. SO glad you decided to ignore people who comment on your weight and stuff. Some just can’t understand that trying to get fit is a complete opposite thing to just wanting to be skin and bones. I think you look gorgeous and will look even more beast and fabulous when you reach your max potential, wherever that is for you 🙂 So keep it up and remain the best inspirational beast of us all!! 🙂

    2. I can’t believe I’m this excited for the challenge!!! haha I’m SO in!!! I’ll be way more fit and def at LEAST that 4% lower on the fat weight!! 😀 (i can most def afford that loss 😛 haha).
I WILL start it, but I don’t tend to weight myself (since I started gaining muscle while running and doing pop pilates, weight became… irrelevant), hence: I dont’ have that thinggie to weight myself. I’ll abuse the doctor’s appointment I have this thursday and write it down on record for that thursday on the 4th week to see how much i progressed and if I was able to live up to the challenge 🙂

    Will let you know 😉

    Hugs! ♥

  38. Abbigail says:

I’m so glad you are real and transparent with us! That’s what makes me love following you!! Don’t you love Judge mental people behind a computer screen. I get your desire to be in good shape. I’m fairly “skinny” but I need to lose a couple and tone up because I want to be healthy and strong! I’m excited to share this with you!! You rock! You are the real deal!

  39. Tori says:

Where’s the beginner calendar Cassey promised?

  40. Tiffany says:

I’m so excited for June!!! My goals is 10lbs for June. From 184 to 174lbs. I’ll be at my goal weight in 6 months or less. Thank you Cassie for being such an inspiration!!!

  41. Brooke says:

Can we still be like part of the diet bet even if we can’t bet money and we just want to lose the 4% of fat? Like we still post sweetly pics and are clean eats and tag it diet bet even if we don’t bet.

  42. Anne says:

    Hey Cassey!

I have decided to workout again and this time to commit for the whole month! I can’t do the challenge online because money’s kinda tight but for sure if I keep up and reach my goal, I will definitely treat myself to something cool 🙂

  43. Chelsea says:

I’m SO EXCITED now that June is here! I loved seeing your before pics, Cassey, and I’m even more excited to see the afters! I think that this summer is going to just be a GREAT one for fitness goals – I can feel it in my bones, the desire and dedication to stick to it. Thanks for all that amazing motivation you’re putting out there, Cass!

  44. VL Fanai says:

Isn’t it funny Cassey?!?! people start going ‘oh you’ve gained weight’ or ‘you’re thick’ or ‘you look fat’ (they don’t mean to hurt our feelings though) and then you look at yourself too and yeah.. you feel kinda chubby … you got some layer of fat… wobbly bits.. afraid of tight clothes that show off your figure.. etc. Then you finally get all determined to lose some weight by eating clean and training like a beast. Then right at that moment people suddenly start saying ‘you’re already skinny’… or ‘I don’t think you’re fat’… ‘don’t be skinnier what you already are! you look perfect’ etc…. what happened to ‘you’re thick’ and stuff?!?!?!
People are really weird….. over the years, I figured out its best to not listen to them and listen to your heart….. they’re just confusing you…
I am trying to lose weight for my own happiness… i am not happy the way my body is right now. Its for me and only me. I will not be told whats supposed to be right anymore!

  45. Daniela B says:

Hey! I just found your videos in Youtube and they brought me here. I was looking for videos for exercising but instead I found this great community with an awesome instructor. I hope this goes good. Thank you!

  46. Sinia says:

your timing is perfect, I just decided to slim down a little for the summer holidays 🙂 thank you for beeing so very supportive!

  47. Sally says:

This week I start my regularly working out life again, so naturally I am searching and reading through fitness blogs to gain a little extra motivation. Really enjoying yours by the way! Nice workout you’ve posted above, and although I will not be doing ALL of that today on my first day back at it, I will keep this for when I am in full swing!

    Thanks for sharing.

  48. Lisa D. says:

I am so thankful you are including us on you journey, I am personally EXTREMLEY grateful for everything you do…I mean I can’t even begin to imagine how much it would cost if I had to pay for all of the great advice, workout calendars, recipes from a personal trainer. I am officially obsessed with Blogilaties.com I think I click on it 100 times a day and even follow on twitter. From the bottom of my heart thank you for all you are doing for us. I think you should be proud you are making your mark, making a difference in something that America truly needs to take more seriously, becoming active and eating healthy!!! Thank you!!! I now need to order a Train Like a Beast tank and Blogilaties booty shorts so I can show off my transformation and people will know how I did it when they see Blogilaties!!! 🙂
I would love to hear from you!

  49. Chelan says:

I think it’s for pizza! The crust, anyway, then you top it with your favorite veggies 🙂

When you put out new workouts, do those happen Monday night? I got through the calendar this morning but couldn’t find the new workout.

    Thanks!

    1. Sarah says:

I’m looking for it too! I’m on east coast time, and wondering if it’s a “time warp” problem since Cassie is on the West Coast. 🙂

  50. Lauren says:

Yes, if you’re 126 then you’ve gotta be 90% muscle! BUT….I’m sure there are areas we can’t see that you’d like to improve. Just because you’re small, doesn’t mean you can’t want improvement. People tell me all the time, you don’t need to workout or eat well because you’re already skinny! What?! I don’t need to stay healthy and strong? Something wrong with that, right there! =) Good luck Cassey!

  51. Bekah says:

    I’m so excited!
Money is tight, so i cant join the diet bet…but I am working hard and cleaning up my diet! This week I’m sticking to the 7 day mini lean out plan! then…the bikini diet 🙂

Thank you Cassey for being so transparent!!
    I think you’re making doughnuts….
    haha

“Now your head looks too big for your body”

One of the most infamous comments I received from a hater when I was in tip-top shape for my wedding…

“first they’ll ask you why you’re doing it, then they’ll ask you how you’ll do it” is your quote that has crept into my mind in reply to that.

You are a great inspiration…thank you very much! <3

    1. amy says:

*or how you did it 😉

thank you cassey…cheers to a healthy active approach to fitness

  53. Maria says:

I think you are doing completely right in not caring what the haters are saying. You should be able to do whatever you want with your body, as long as it is making you feel healthier an better about yourself. Who cares about if the scale says 100 or 130, it’s how you feel that’s important, especially for you as a fitness-role model for so many and if you don’t feel at your best, people will notice.

I am so excited for this month, and if I could just get over my newly required cold I’d start right now, but I might have to wait a few days. Still, I’ll be eating clean and not comfort my stuffy nose with chocolate 😉 If anyone wants to see what I’m doing my name is @marrehj on Instagram 🙂

Let’s beast mode this month together!!

  54. Henad says:

It’s11:11 Monday night and I still don’t see the new video! am I missing something?

      I totally agree!

      1. Mickis says:

Yaay! Let’s get this hashtag trending! ;D
Would be easier if our awesome Cassey Ho could let everyone know by sending out a tweet about it 🙂

  56. Anna says:

Please tell me the recipe is for those amazing looking waffles, PLEAAASSEEE!!!! (If not make them next week?? Or just post the recipe for us as an extra special June on fire gift???) You’re amazing, thank you for everything you do to inspire us!

  57. Sarah says:

“What keeps us from our goals is that sometimes life gets in the way and we indulge a little too much or can’t find time to exercise” – this hits home with me today. After two weeks of eating clean and exercising, and a loss of almost 5 pounds, I felt kinda shattered when I put a little back on due to my birthday being this weekend. A little too much cake and yummy food- I was so mad at myself! But I can just get back on it and keep going. And by the end of the month, I’ll be a little bit closer to that healthy slimmer bod I want! Thanks for being a constant inspiration Cassey! You’re a beautiful person! <3

  58. Kristin says:

Thanks so much for choosing to involve us! I think this was the push I needed! My sister and I are doing the diet bet together, even though we live on opposite sides of the country.. I’m so excited and so so determined. After I had my 9 pound daughter via c section I kind of gave up on looking good. But I started doing your workouts a few months back and already feel more confident and stronger.. This month I will really really push myself and feel even better!!

  59. Liz says:

You go girl!!! Nothing better than feeling great about your body 🙂

  60. VKat says:

Cassie, you are such a wealth of inspiration to me. I have been getting into your workout videos for a few months. I stumbled across them via searching online for more about clean eating. Your video on calculating metabolism was brilliant by the way! I am *so happy* I found your work!
Your routines make me feel great. And this month challenge is perfect timing.
Thank you for being so honest and sharing more about yourself and the pressure you face from people not understanding about your fitness goals. I deal with a lot of that. To the point that I feel like it’s not even worth telling people about the dietbet. Everyone always says I’m already thin, like that’s a bad thing when I mention exercise or goals. It has really discouraged me in the past, and I have allowed myself to go along with less than healthy choices because of it. So I am really deeply appreciative to have someone like you to look up to 🙂

  61. Ann says:

I’m definitly gonna try your workout! But I don’t have a kettlebell, can I jsut use a dumbbell?
I love your attitude towards the facebook comments, because I think you shouldn’t care. I think you are DEFINITLY not “fat” and also you are not too skinny, you look good and healthy but if you are not comfortable and want to change that’s your body and your feeling about yourself 🙂
Oh and are these maybe Red Velvet Cupcakes? I can’t see the ingredients very well but I can see something red and something like baking powder.

  62. dinnie says:

hi cassey….thanks so much for the #juneonfire calendar….for those of us who cant join the Dietbet….and i dont blame you for trying to lose weight, and its your decision entirely because we know you’re going about it in a healthy way….each of us are at different places of comfort when it comes to our own bodies, and we cant blame anyone for trying to get to that good place esp if its in a healthy manner….i’ll def be following the june calendar and hope to lose a few pounds myself…..you’re still a great role model …and goodluck to all of us on this journey:) healthy is sexy ;))

  63. Rachel C says:

    So proud of you!
I’ve been following your calendars for 2 months now, and honestly had started to get a little discouraged. I realize that I do need to work harder and be more serious about my eating, so you’ve motivated me again to not only keep going for month 3, but to do even better than before!

  64. Lana says:

Hey Casey! Could you do a couple of vegan recipes in your new series? I know alot of vegans that absolutely adore you&your videos and we LOVE your recipes

  65. Steph says:

Thanks Casey this is exactly what i needed to read tonight!
I too am a personal trainer and have gained a few kilos recently, i get so paranoid about it and June is the month to stop feeling sorry for myself and to do something about it!!!
    Really appreciate your openness xoxo

  66. Hoe Hoi Peng says:

Thanks to Cassey for such an inspiring statement. Well, honestly I lose 5 kg in 6 months, all because of exercising, tension due to exam, projects, and some homework stuffs but I have received so many compliments about my losing weight and better body. Even though I never join the challenge by paying the money (I am still a student who cannot afford the money), I am still following the June On Fire Workout calender. I have attracted by Letty’s fit body when I watched Fast and Furious 6 and I have made my decision on building up the muscles in coming 6 months. I can’t wait for my success. Please continue inspiring and encouraging me to continue the super tough journey. Love from Malaysia. =)

  67. Romy says:

    Hey Cassey!

I am so excited to do this challenge with you and I cannot thank you enough for all what you do!!!
Loosing weight is not a matter of figures on a scale but as you say, feeling good!!!!
5 pounds less will you make you feel healthier and look leaner!! there you go!!! I will follow you. I have the same goals as yours!
I have a question: on the Juneonfire calendar, do we have to do all the exercices twice? or the ( x2) is just the last exercice ?

OK, I am ready Cassey, let’s do this!!!! 🙂
    Romy

    1. Anna says:

Hi, I’m 99% sure you just do the workout with (2x) next to it twice.

      1. Romy says:

        Ok!! Thank you Anna!!

  68. Majo says:

    Hi Cassey!..

Well, i’m kinda new here, but I already love you!…
I did #MayMuscles and was great!.. I’ve been improving a lot!.. I just couldn’t believe the last couple of days during the workouts!.. Love how I have so much fun doing them… thanks a lot!.. I’ve realized how much commitment (heart and sou!) put in everything u do, it’s impressive. I admire you..

Well, I’m here because I’m a little worried, I have lost 46 lb since last year, but i’m still about 8-9 lb far from my “ideal weight” and i wanna reach my goal.. So, the deal here is that my parents are worried because “I’m too skinny now” my mom cries every time i do exercise! (well, no every time but she has cried a lot saying that i have to stop, i gonna get leukemia or something like that… besides I’m vegetarian, and they try to convince me to eat meat again.. And i don’t wanna!.. I wanna be vegan!, i’m trying that)..

Ok, I don’t know what to do… I don’t like to see my mom crying, my family telling me that i’m crazy and i have to stop.. I just wanna be fit and happy, why can not they understand?!..

I’m gonna be around here, ’cause I love this community and how you support each other guys..
    I’ll figure out something!.. <3

  69. Elise says:

Hey Cassey! Me and my sister aren’t doing the #JuneOnFire challenge per say, but we ARE eating super healthy and doing a ton of your videos every day in prep for bikini season. You’re killing us.

Sorry people are judging you like they are. Your ultimate goal (both for weight loss and just general desire to be fitter) and mindset are completely healthy, and I respect you for your honesty.

(As an aside, love “Mirrors”, you should totally make an ab workout video to it). 😉

  70. Donna says:

I think it’s great you stand up for yourself, youre beautiful and really inspiring. There should be more people like you, thanks for everything and good luck this month! 😀

  71. Anna says:

That workout looks crazy! I did today’s (Monday) workout already and i was sweating so much! Summer is in full swing in Finland right now, and it’s like doing every workout in a hot yoga class 😀

Love what you said about losing weight, the facebook comments were starting to bother me as well because I feel like you’ve explained yourself so many times, and so eloquently!…but I guess not everyone gets a chance to read what you’ve said in the past so opinions get stated and repeated over and over.

Good luck this month! And oh man, the calendar you’ve made for this month looks so challenging! But thank you for making those for us. Seeing how much effort you put into helping us with your videos, blogs, recipes, etc. is always something I think about when I’m about to give up during a workout and it makes me push that much harder! Thank you!!
