How Many Calories Do Blogilates Workouts Burn?

Hey POPsters!

Wow, I can’t believe I fell asleep blogging 2 nights in a row. That’s why there wasn’t a big post up yesterday! I need to find other places to write other than in my big comfy bed after I brush my teeth and take my contacts out. That’s just a recipe for disaster. (Well, unless you have trouble falling asleep, try it!)

Anyway, so many things to tell you – so let’s get started shall we? First off, you must be lovin’ the title of this post! Yes finally, you can get a specific answer to the ALL TIME question “How many calories does this video burn?” What!!?? Ya, I know! Ridic right!!???

Well, I’ve been working with the peeps over at WeightTraining.com to make this possible and let me tell you…they have amazed me with the turnaround time of this project and how nicely they have executed! And all for us POPsters!

All you need to do is just sign up for a free account at WeightTraining.com – you can even login using your facebook. Then you can start logging your workouts to see how many calories you burn! Right now, we only have the Bikini Blasters up and the POP Song Challenges. We are working on getting a bunch of my fave workout videos on there too! Is there a particular vid you REALLY REALLY want to have included? Could you please comment and tell me so we don’t miss it?

Here are the links to the workouts:

The best way to look up the Bikini workouts now is to search “Bikini Blaster” under workout plans. This is what you’ll come up with:

Pretty neat huh?! So yeah, FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!

And you know, if you choose to do other workouts on other days and not follow any type of plan, you can log how many bicep curls you did at what weight etc. You can log runs! You can log a plank. You can log a pushup. You log a crunch! Everything! Like seriously everything.

I am going to start using this myself so you guys can see what I do when I am at the gym. I think it will be a good way for me to measure my strength training progress.

We are currently working on making a special page with a direct URL so you guys can just come to WeightTraining.com and see all of my videos right away. Because this is an ongoing project, I’d really like to hear what suggestions or ideas you have for the Blogilates videos on WeightTraining.com. Your comments will literally be taken into consideration – their tech team is so on it, it’s insane. I’d say “Hey let’s have the challenges on here!” and BAM like the next day all the challenges were on there!

Go ahead and sign up RIGHT NOW like this very second – browse around – click on everything – check out the giveaways –  follow me there under Blogilates - and tell me what you like or don’t like and what will make your fitness life easier!!! Plus don’t forget to tell me which videos you MUST have on the site so you can know how many calories it burns!

Hope you guys are just as excited as I am! Oh and other quick updates! I actually started teaching at CRUNCH on Sunday and tonight I will be doing a Pilates Mat class at the Polk St. gym in San Francisco!

I am so excited to be a part of the CRUNCH fam because they pay a lot of attention to their group fitness program and I truly appreciate that because my heart lies in teaching! You can see my updated class sched here. I’m also headed to Chicago early next week for a fitness event, so if you see me running around the city, please say hi! I’d love to meet you! It’ll be my first time there!!!

Okay that’s what I have for you today!!! Working on your Bikini Blaster 5 video. If you’re following the June Workout Calendar, then you know what’s up :)

Have an inspiring day and go ALL OUT – whatever you do.

  1. I have been exploring for a little for any high quality
articles or blog posts in this sort of house . Exploring in Yahoo I ultimately stumbled upon this web site.
Reading this information So i am satisfied to convey that
I have a very good uncanny feeling I found out just what I needed.

I most certainly will make sure to do not disregard this site and
give it a glance on a relentless basis.

  2. All of the 100 and 1000 workouts please & thank you!

  3. can you do drive by inner thigh and abs all night please!!

  4. Cassey! I cannot view how much calories I’ve burned on weighttraining.com since I found out you have to still pay to view it :( is there another way whatsoever for me to view how much calories I’ve burned? :)

  5. Could you please log as many as these as you can? I can’t seem to work it out. Maybe log the monthly work calendar for us so we know how much we’re burning thanks!

  6. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to track the challenges! How do I do this?!

    • You click on Excercises and find a workout you did, like the Clam Shell, then u click on Log This Workout (or it says something to that extent) then it’ll take u to a new page, click in the search box at the top left, and type in the name of the workout, it should pop up and then log all the workouts u did that day. You have to pay to see ho many calories you’ve burnt though :/

  7. you should pair up with myfitnesspal! I want to start doing your workouts (i just found out about them!) but then i have no idea how to log them into MFP! :(

    • Yes please team up with MyFitnessPal! Weighttraining.com is really confusing and time consuming, plus I can’t find all of your workouts on there.

  8. I went to dashboard and “log a workout” but I can’t find any of yours! I’ve tried typing in SO many different things. I can find other workouts, but none of yours :( I don’t like this website! Way too complicated!!

    • click on workout plans and then type in “bikini” and search

      • I tried this right now. It just told me I had to pay $4.99 for the PRO version to log the intense ab challenge. I think they are logging these as “workout plans” rather than “exercises”. I wanted to track the “What makes you Bootyful,” but it is definitely not working.

  9. So do you not know how many calories your burned until after you do the workout or am I missing something?

Could You Please Put The Drive-by Inner Thigh Challenge.? I Do I Everyday, And Would Love To Know How Much I’m Burning.! Thanks(:

  11. Can you please do this for the Total Body Bangging Workout? I do that video several times a week..love it !

  12. Am I the only one who can’t figure out how to add workouts to the workout log.

    • enearlyn says:

haha, no worries, you are not alone. i had a hard time figuring out how to do it also.
aft u chose to start a plan, then
from the Dashboard, Click “Log a Workout”
->Click “log a different workout” on the left sidebar.
Select the workout you want, (for example, under “bikini blaster workout – part 1″, there is “rotation #1″, click that)
and it will be automatically entered into the logger.
inside the logger, you can adjust the number of sets and reps based on what you actually did. (kinda troublesome, haha)
after that, click “log workout” at the bottom right corner, you’ll then get a full report, including duration, weight, distance, calories and points earned.

    • Nope, im with you, i cant log a workout but for me calories burned doesnt really matter. I try to eat good and I see results from working out; muscle tone, fat loss, etc. As long as I feel toned and strong I feel great!

    • If you go to your “Dashboard”, you will be able to “Log a Workout” from there. Once you log a workout, you will see the amount of calories you burned in the workout summary. Let us know if you need any help. We are here for you! :)

  13. I would love to have the Butt Blaster video, Lower Belly Pooch Attack and Arm Attack and Intense Ab Workout!!! Oh, and Uh-Oh Obligues as well please!!!!

  14. I am sorry this is really stupid, but I don’t understand how to work the weighttraining calories burned thing. How do you log in the work out and then what do you do after that. Can someone help me please?

  20. Brittany says:

I guess Im illiterate! haha, ok so i signed up and i clicked on the link on this page for the what makes you bootyfull challenge, it opened up in weighttraining and i clicked that i completed this. but nothing says how many calories I burned. And when I go to dashboard, log workout, i cant bring up the what makes you bootyfull challenge anywhere to log! help!

    • same problem :/ What is wrong with us? :D

    • Currently challenges do not show the amount of calories burned (only workouts do). You can find the Bikini Blaster series by searching “bikini blaster” in the workout plans. Once you log a workout, you will be taken to your workout summary page that will show the amounts of calories that you burned. Let us know if you need any help!

  21. Could you please try to get the “intense ab workout” and the “muffin top meltdown” workouts on the weighttraining page? I try to do those almost everyday and it would be really nice to know how much calories they burn. Thanks Cassey, I LOVE your workouts :)

  22. I have logged a couple workouts but the calories burned seem much much too high. They seem fit for a 200lb man, which i definitely am not. anyone else have this problem?

    • Hi Kat,

It’s different from person to person, but we are working on the new algorithm that will take into account peoples bodyweight from the FRC and then METs for individual exercises!

Let us know if you need any help!

    • Sally Sue says:

      Yes, same here.

It says by doing Bikini Blaster 1 – 4 I’ve burned 1320 calories! That seem way too much…

  23. Perky butt and lean legs. Backless dress and ultimate abs! Thanks for the new site post I cant wait to try them out

  24. I just logged the Bikini Blaster leg workout on Weightraining.com. I LOVE that we can now log our workouts, but it seems as though the calories burned are not accurate. I said that I did the video for 22 minutes and It said I burned 550 calories! I feel like I could not have burned that many calories for 20 minutes. It already has my weight, height, etc. in the system so it should take that into account when calculating the calories. Is anyone else having this problem where the calories burned seems too high ?

    • Hi Lauren,

It’s different from person to person, but we are working on the new algorithm that will take into account peoples bodyweight from the FRC and then METs for individual exercises!

Thanks for becoming part of WeightTraining.com! If you need anything, just let us know!

  25. the body weight one! HIIT!! :D
    my fav lol

  26. Taylor Regan says:

    Hey Cassey!
I signed up for WeightTraining.com and I really like using it! I use MyFitnessPal.com too, and I was wondering if maybe you could get some of your workouts on there??

Thanks for everything you do <3

  27. Christine says:

Hey Cassey. So I know that you said to lose weight, we have to take off 250 calories a day. Do you mean take it off from the number of calories we should eat a day (BMR), or just don’t eat the 250 at all? For example if my BMR is 1535, do I eat just that or do I eat 1285? Thanks!

  28. can anyone tell me how to log a workout?

  29. When I want to enter the data to my fitness report card it keeps saying leg press and heart rate are not a number! I didn’t enter anything in there because I don’t know it. I would love to use weight training, please help me :)

    • In trying to make the most accurate fitness report card, we currently do not have an option where users cannot enter this information. For leg press, you could put your weight…since everyone has to at least lift their weight when getting up and such. For heart rate, you can just put an average. Here are some stats that might help:

The target heart rate for a healthy 20-year-old, for example, is between 100 and 170 beats per minute; for a 30-year-old, between 95 and 162; and for a 40-year-old, between 90 to 153 beats

  30. Hey, Cassey! Some of your workouts are no longer available on YouTube! Like Bikini Blaster or the thong challenge. Why is that?

  31. Michela says:

Would love to know about your awesome “Total Body Bangin’ Workout”..my fave :)

  32. I can’t see how many calories it burns :c am I not looking in the right place or something?

    • Did you log a workout? When you a log a workout…you will be taken to your “workout summary” with the amount of calories you burned during that workout. Let us know if you need help with anything else!

  33. Sarah Lou says:

    Hey guys,
I just tried weighttraining.com (great idea!!) and wanted to find out how many calories the HIIT it hard Bikini Blaster burnt… I tried to adjust the Reps and Sets to what I did: meaning 1 round and maybe not as many reps as Cassey does…
turns out to show me it burns 450kcal. That can’t be, can it? + it’s probably very different from person to person???

    HELP!! :D

    • Hi Sarah,

It’s different from person to person, but we are working on the new algorithm that will take into account peoples bodyweight from the FRC and then METs for individual exercises!

Thanks for becoming part of WeightTraining.com! If you need anything, just let us know!

  34. monique says:

hey cassey!! this is absolutely fantastic! if you are able to get any of these up, it would be simply amazing!

10 min intense ab workout, muffin top meltdown, POP Pilates for weight loss, inner thigh insanity, slimmer thighs and runners calves and 10 min super butt workout :)

    thanks again!

  35. Lillybell26 says:

Omgoodness I HAVE to try this!!! please please put the muffin top, the cardio kick boxing with your sister, the cardio …umm I can’t remember the name right now but you were wearing a green shirt and it was outside ;p and just any with inner thight workouts!!! Thanks!!!

  36. That’s awesome thank you!!

I would like you to included a lot of vids like Legs and Thighs workout, Super Butt Workout, You’ve got Abs, the POP Cardio videos, Inner Thigh Insanity….thank you so much!!

  37. Congrats on working at Crunch! I’ve done some of their videos that are on Netflix, lol.

Thanks so much Cassey and WeightTraining.com for the calorie counter! I’ll try it tomorrow. I usually log my workouts on SparkPeople, but since I never knew what your workouts burned, I always just placed them as pilates or High Intensity Cardio for the HIITS. I love that this will be more accurate. :) I’d like to put in a request for the calorie count for Food Baby HIIT.

  38. I’d love to be able to see the 20/20 workout!

I have a hydration/nutrition question, maybe someone here can answer it?
Situation : I work a job where I need to stand/walk for the entire time that I work (9am-5pm), I can walk short distances of about 20 feet frequently, I walk several 100 feet several times during the day ever couple of hours (sorry i don’t know exact measurements but its shorter than an 1/8 mile), and I need to sprint once or twice a day (sometimes up to 8 times) a distance of about the long side of a soccer field. I had been drinking two 20 oz bottles of water but went home every evening with horrid leg cramps so I have switched to one 20 bottle of Gatorade ( mixed from powder) and one 20 oz bottle of water and I have not had any more cramps. I spend about 3-4 hours outside in the heat (live in S. Florida) and its humid!
Question: What should I be drinking during the day and how much? Is what I am drinking adequate or do I need to add more water/Gatorade? I eat healthy and can fit the Gatorade into my diet with out adding too many extra calories, but is there something else I could consume that would have fewer calories? I do eat a healthy lunch (usually a spinach and chicken wrap, carrots, dried fruit, and special K cracker chips or other vegetables) and a small snack (sunchips), is this enough food or so i need more snacks through out the day? or am i getting enough carbs and what not from the gatorade?
    Thank you in advance!

    • I’d definitely add more water. I live in NC and drink a little (about 8oz) Gatorade before my runs on hot days and it helps me with cramps too! Coconut water is great for rehydrating but honestly, I think it tastes awful. If you like it and want to cut some calories/sugar maybe drink that instead of Gatorade? I’d also get a reusable water bottle (if that’s not what you’re already using.) I have a 24oz Nalgene bottle that I take everywhere with me and I refill it several times during the day. Definitely helps keep me hydrated!

      • Ash spi says:

yep I reuse my Gatorade bottles. I’m not sure how much Gatorade i should be drinking or if the calories are too high and therefore might mess with my blood sugar (crash) later in the day.
I’ll try to add more water during the day, I guess I will have to carry a third water bottle.

    • I am no nutrition expert, I just read a lot, so take what I say with a grain of salt. This specific post just has a lot of comments and I’m not sure if anyone will have a moment to answer it.

You probably need to drink more water during the day with all your activity and the heat. I do not know how much water/gatorade you drink in the evening after work but 40 oz is not going to cut it. I would at least go for 60 oz during the day. One thing you can do with the gatorade is not use the entire powder packet for 20 oz of water (this would mostly be to just to add a bit a flavor to your water while keeping the same calorie count). I am not sure if there are other better powder supplements for water that give you the electrolytes you need with less sugar, so maybe someone else has an idea (or just look around at the store!).

With the history of leg cramps I might add in one or two snacks (one before and one after lunch) of a small serving of a fruit, dried fruit, or vegetable. I’d go for the fruit myself because it will give you additional electrolytes and help keep you hydrated. Adding a banana to your diet every day might give you enough potassium to prevent any future leg cramps.

Otherwise we don’t know much about you. Your height/weight, what else you typically eat during the day, how often you exercise outside of work, and if you are trying to lose/maintain/gain weight. So I don’t think anyone can comment much on your diet. Pay attention to your body! If you are hungry or feel fatigued perhaps you need to drink more or eat more (healthy food of course).

    • I don’t know how much fluid you need to drink per day but I do know that leg cramps are associated with low potassium so I am sure the electrolytes in the Gatorade helps a lot. If you don’t like drinking that many calories in a sports drink you could try coconut water it is high in potassium check the calorie count though I am not sure how high it is. There is also an electrolyte drink called NUUN which only has 6 calories per tablet you can get it online or at running stores so it might be an option too. I don’t think leg cramps are generally caused by low sugar so you probably don’t need it from the Gatorade but if you are running out of energy hitting a wall then extra carbs might help.
      Hope this helps a little.

    • I used to get wicked cramps at night, and found out I was low in magnesium! I picked up a supplement that I take probably 4-5x/week, and I increased how much water I drink during the day…and poof! The cramps are gone!

  40. abominable abdominals!!!! :)
