Just what I needed today! Woke up feeling sore today and can never seem to do stretching by myself. So glad I looked to see if you had any videos, you keep me motivated!
This is my favorite warm-up video right now! I do it everyday to get myself pumped. :) It feels so good and it’s energizing. These are pretty movements too. Thanks Cassie! I’m loving sharing your videos and calenders with my friends and getting them into Pop Pilates too! Please come to D.C./Baltimore sometime!
Thank you sooo much for starting this stretching series. I can’t always fit pilates into my workout schedule but these stretches are perfect for someone who hates stretching. Please keep these videos coming!
I’m the least flexible person ever. I can’t even touch my toes. I try to stretch when I can.

When I first started doing the video with the bridge I just couldn’t lift my head off the mat! But just do the modification, it worked for me :) I was able to do the bridge after only 2 weeks :D

Hi Cassey! <3 Some of us tend to be lazy and lay around watching TV and movies. Can you give us some exercises that we can do while watching TV? Thanks!
I know this is a little late, but you could do planks, triangles, tiny circles, those half cobra push-ups; There’s lots of things you could do while watching tv!
Please could you make a stretching video for the middle splits? I’ve just got my side splits down but I’m so far from middle! Love you <3

Hey Cassey, (or anyone) do you have any tips for someone who is super unflexible? I can’t even reach my ankle for a leg stretch (I can only get about halfway down the lower half of my leg before it hurts too much! >:-(
Hey Morgan, i used to be really unflexible too, i couldn’t even reach over my knee. I started to ballet and now I can reach the floor, i achieved that in under a month by stretching ones a week. But i found out that i am way more flexible after i worked out so if you work out and then stretch out it’s way easier and gives better results. It would of course be even better if you could start dancing or doing yoga since it helps a lot more, but if you can’t then it’s a good thing to workout before :)

A good way, of course, as with everything, is PRACTICE! Just stretch every day for even 5 minutes (more would show more results, but don’t overdo 20 minutes), you will see results pretty soon. And Frederikke is right, when you stretch after working out when your muscles are all warmed up you are more flexible and less likely to injure yourself while stretching. Do different moves and hold them for 30 seconds, don’t bounce about because then you risk hurting yourself! Always stay in the place where you really feel the stretch but where it doesn’t hurt too much! Tara Stiles’ yoga stretch videos are quite helpful too, I can really recommend those!

Hi! I really love your videos but I think it’d be a great idea if you could do another stretching video… a fuller stretch routine with more arms and shoulders included would be really appreciated!
Oh! I forgot to add… maybe some stuff for loosening up the joints would be nice too :) my hips/knees/wrists/ankles are always stiff lol

i think this stretching video is very helpful. im a figure skating athlete. everyday i never forget to do all the pilates movement and the stretching, of course, seeing your face on my screen :p it really support me on and off ice training.

Hi! I do stretching a bit before and after my exersices. Am I right? And iss it nessesary for example to do stretching the whole day? For example on Sunday – witout hard exersices just stretching?
I was thinking of a similar idea. The October calendar is my favorite so far: it pushes my lazy bum to try new videos instead of my same old favs. Maybe the November calendar could have “Sunday Stretching” days to help cool us down from the epic weeks’ workouts.

I love this stretching routine so much and I can tell it’s really helping my flexibility! It’s crazy how much I’ve improved with pilates in such a short amount of time all thanks to YOU!! This streching video is really helpful! I used to be able to do the bridge pretty easily, I even almost could do it just leaning back while standing, but I forgot to practice it and I couldn’t do it anymore. But now I can again, and it only took me a week with this video! And I can get my head to my knee easily, too! When I started doing this before and after pilates, I could get my head to my knee but only if I really forced it. Thanks, Cassey :)
It would be really nice if you would take some time and make some more stretching vids, i love this one, but it feels like every muscelgroup isn’t in it (for example the butt) so could you please make some other videos!

Hi! I was recently in a wedding and had to wear heels. I never wear heels so after a few hours of wearing them up and down stairs I had to ditch them. But now 2 days later my lower back is killing me! I was hoping to resume my workouts after all the madness but feel that I need to take it easy today and get my back feeling better first. I was wondering what stretches would benefit my back and get it feeling better?
Thanks so much for this video! I was in the middle of studying for a big test and my shoulders and upper back were starting to get tired. I needed a little break, so I went on your site for some videos and found this! Amazingly, I feel so much more relaxed! I can also feel my posture getting better. If you have any spare time, please upload some more stretching videos!! Time to get back to studying now :)

Hey I have a shoulder injruy and the pain from the injruy goes down to my arm and down my spine sometimes and I am really tired of it. :( (I had this injruy for 3 years) I tried going to Dr. and they suggested therapy but when I go to therapy, I was in pain from the elastic bands they gave me and could not keep going with the elastic bands. Do you have any videos to recommend to me about how I can heal my shoulder or strengthen it. And if you do, how many times per week?

I don’t unfortunately. You should tell your therapist that it hurts you. Be open and demand what you need. After all, you are paying for it!

Sub the stap with a scarf!
My palms kill the most from the pressure on them when I do the push ups and gelaernly all the arm work outs. I only did it on my knees and used a towel as well under my hands. How can I stop the pain in my palms?

I am a licensed massage therapist and have been doing yoga and been immersed in yoga culture since I was in middle school. However, I love stretching with Cassey because she is so light-hearted and contagious without any pretense. Hoorah!
