This is one of my fave fave gym bag designs! This bag is so much prettier in real life, the picture just does not do the intricate pleats and sparkle fabric any justice. You can't tell, but the top of the pleats where that first "v" is - that's actually a pocket! So clever and hidden huh?
Bright sweat-free lining is what oGorgeous is all about! Check out that nifty water bottle pocket and large netted pocket!
Oh you've got to check this out. From L to R, a lock loop so you'll never misplace your lock, a key clip so you'll never have to dig around the bottom of your bag, a cell phone/mp3 player pocket, and a jewelry window! (Uhh so yea, basically spending a lot of time traveling between classes and working out allows me to better understand the features that should be included in a thoughtful gym bag!)
Comes with a matching shoe bag!
Vent holes!!! So you will not stink up your new bag with sweaty clothes :) The great thing about this bag is that it can be more than just a gym bag. It's a handbag, a school bag, a laptop case, a travel bag, and well, maybe even a diaper bag! The possibilities are endless.oGorgeous.com site. There are a total of 18 new styles!!!! Let me know which bags you like and if you have any suggestions. In conclusion...I am super tired and am about to die at the keyboard. I want to take a moment to thank my BF and my family for being so supportive throughout this journey. I look forward to an awesome holiday season. We will see what happens. Good night and farewell POPsters. Til tomorrow! <3 Cassey
Morning: protein pancakes or an egg white veggie omelet with soy sauce/sriracha or salsa. Gummy vitamins.
Mid-morning snack: protein shake (I really like met-rx vanilla from Trader Joes or MAXPRO cinnamon roll from Max Muscle...mmmm)
Lunch: Catfish/tilapia/or some type of white fish and lettuce. I am not really using any dressing right now. I kind of like my soy sauce and sriracha mix on top of it. I know, weird.
Afternoon snack: a couple boiled eggs, with yolk
Dinner: chicken breast, green beans, and Miracle Noodle Zero Calorie Noodles (Yea that's right. they're noodles with ZERO calories.)
Post dinner snack: protein pancakes if I am feeling sweet or some type of lean protein and veggieDiet Questions: Do you eat fruit or nuts? If I do, it's in the morning and if I feel like my carbs are too low/I am lacking energy. I'll have an occasional frozen mango chunk and some almonds. I have a sweet tooth unfortunately! Good thing this is only for contest prep!! How do you feel? So far, I am feeling good. This is SUPER DUPER clean eating. I am full and my metabolism is so crazy because I am eating every 2-3 hrs. Sometimes I'll crave things like peanut butter and fruit, but I have been ok. I'll cheat a mini bit if I am dying, but not crazy binge so that it'd offset my hard work. How much water are you drinking? 1 gallon a day. CASSEY'S SAMPLE BIKINI WORKOUT:
Mon: Back, Bi, Abs + Cardio
Tues: Drills, HIITs
Wed: Chest, Shoulders, Tri's + Cardio
Thurs: Drills, HIITs
Fri: Legs & Butt + Cardio
Sat: Drills, HIITS
Sun: Rest dayWorkout Questions: How long do you go? I usually do weights for about an hour and then cardio for 30-45 min. If it's HIITs and drills about an hr as well. I might weight train my fave body part of the moment for about 30 extra min on those days. So in my case, it's butt and legs! Sometimes I'll do double days and go back to the gym and hit some extra cardio for about 30-45 min if I have energy. Treadmill, elliptcal or precor. And yes, I still teach my 5 classes throughout the week. How do you get all that energy? Good food. Hydration. Self motivation. Desire to succeed driven by the results I see. How do you have time? Uhhh, I guess I am a little on the lucky side here...I am a blogger and Youtuber so my schedule isn't too rigid. And yes it is RIDIC that I am in the gym for over 3 hours a day sometimes. Depends on where you are and where you need to be. I didn't start SERIOUSLY training for this until about about 1 and a half months ago but 1 week of that was my week in LA and New York and I TOTALLYYYYY binged on Pita Chips, nuts, street food (love the Halal cart stuff in NYC OMG)...yeah it was so bad...but so good! How much weight have you lost? Since March 10, I've lost 10 pounds. I know. I can't believe it either. I owe it to Kip for pushing my a** to the limit EVERY TIME. OTHER THINGS I NEED TO DO... - Figure out how to tan myself for the competition. I need to be super dark! - Practice my makeup application. - Get someone to do my hair. I want it to look like this. Do you think I need extensions to get that volume? - Practice getting comfy in my model walk. - Get Aubrie and Danny J's (The Sweaty Betties) rooms ready at the house...they are visiting me for my first bikini competition! I can't wait to pick them up at the airport and meet them in real life! All that and continue to PUSH HARD! The whole journey so far has been MORE than rewarding. I've meet so many cool people along the way. Good people. Also, seeing hard work paying off daily pumps me up more than anything. Whether it's with my body, my work, my business, whatever. Seeing progress is ULTIMATE SATISFACTION! Don't you agree? Anyway, it's like 2am and I leave for LA in like 5 hrs and I haven't even packed yet. I am soooooo bad. At least all I need to do pack is my food and my workout clothes/shoes. I already put these in cute ziplock baggies. Protein pancake recipe here. Maybe a swimsuit to go tanning a bit. It'll be a quick trip. I cannot wait to meet all of y'all at the POP Pilates LA Meetup!!!!! Over 200 of you got tickets. Umm, I wonder if you all will actually show up? Either way it will be nuts!!!!! There are still some left, go here to print your tix. Make sure to show your ticket on your iPhone or print out the ticket and bring it with you.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
A 1 hr full length POP Pilates class! Get ready to get sore!!! Then a Q&A Sesh and time for meet and greet!
WHAT TO BRING? A yoga mat! Your enthusiastic self!! Wear Blogilates gear if you have it :)
LOCATION: Hollywood Dance Center 817 N Highland Ave Los Angeles, CA, 90038 (North of Melrose Ave.)
LIVESTREAM: Just tune into http://www.blogtv.com/People/blogilates on Saturday April 21st around 2:30PM (Pacific Standard Time in California) for the start of the session.
- 1 banana
- 1-1.5 cup kale
- 1/2 cup nonfat greek yogurt (vegans can sub tofu or soy yogurt)
- handful of ice
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- juice of 1 small lemon
- 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper <—- yup there it is! (If it’s your first time having pepper in a drink, I’d start with a pinch and add more as you get more advanced)The spiciness in this drink from the pepper helps to raise your metabolism, and all the Vitamin C from the lemon and kale helps in the production of Carnitine which helps your body metabolize fat. Also, the banana provides a source of tryptophan which aids in relaxing your mind and lifting your mood. The protein in the yogurt keeps you full and ALSO, because your body takes 2x more energy to digest protein than carbs, eating more protein makes you burn more calories. This is great as a morning breakfast! Or whenever you need something to SUPERCHARGE YOU! Nutrition Facts: 232 cals and 16g of protein Share this and keep it close to you! This smoothie is seriously a miracle! ALSO!!!!
Yay!!! We have water bottles! It's so important to stay hydrated. A lot of us don't drink enough water, so now, you have no excuse. Drink to your heart's desire! Too cute not to right?
I was so excited that I stayed up late last night to do a lil photoshoot with these babies. I had so much fun naming their colors. Because each kinda looks like a translucent crystal, I named the colors of the bottles after gemstones. You can see all the colors here. These are actually blender bottles with little spiral balls to help you mix your protein powder smoothly. Aren't they darling? I felt like this lil guy needed his own portrait :) I want to thank you guys for always suggesting new product ideas. (I never thought I'd get into bottles!) It's not always the easiest trying to figure out how to design and manufacture new things. But it's not an impossible challenge. So again, thank you for your continuous flow of ideas! Anything else you want me to do for you, just let me know in the comments! Ready to design and tackle! Do you remember this Blogilates yoga mat that I handpainted before my first NYC meetup? Look at all your gorgeous signatures. You guys are amazing. After this, I got so many requests to actually make this mat for you guys...well you know Cassey. I take your comments very very seriously. So umm, after months and months or testing and development to make it as close as possible to the original, here it is guys!!! The Limited Edition Blogilates Yoga Mat.
Also, since so may of you have been doing POP Pilates or a while, I wanted to take your workout to the next level with a new toy. I use the Power Ring when I teach my classes and I've been wanting to show you guys my special routines for so long, but was afraid to because I know like 90% of you do not own a ring. So for the first time ever, I am releasing a piece of Pilates equipment to bring our workouts to the next level. This is super exciting because I'm ready to show you how you can tone your legs like CRAZY with this baby. Inner and outer thighs REALLY will get sore with the exercises I'm about to kill you with. Oh it's gonna be fun.
Also, the pads on the POP Pilates Power Ring say "TRAIN INSANE" on the inside! Oh and I'd like to make a comment about me on the box.
Umm, I'm on a box.Hahahahahahaha. I hope you enjoy :)
AH! I was just about to post when my friend Sarah from Sarahfit.com texted me this:
I have no idea why I am purple and why iJustine is blue but OMG cool!!!! Did anyone get this issue yet? I need to go pick it up. Thank you for growing Blogilates to what it is today. It's seriously all because of you. Also, I wanna thank Sarah for being an awesome friend over the past few years since I started posting videos on YouTube. She is an online fitness veteran and has really been genuine and trustworthy to me from the beginning! It's always nice to find truly good people in the field in which you work. I mean, the reason why I left my first corporate job was mostly because of how toxic the coworker relationships were. Life isn't about work or getting things done...it's about working together as humans.Love you guys! Please instagram your smoothie #cheapcleaneats after you make it so I can see! Yum yum! And lemme know which bottle and mat you like best. Your first Power Ring workout will be on YouTube next week! <3 Cassey
This time, well, it was a lake.
Yup, my friends David and Sam were literally walking on water. This was not supposed to happen. Apparently there had been a storm the week before and the flats got flooded. JUST. MY. LUCK.
We were supposed to shoot in the afternoon and be done by like 4 or 5pm. It was 3pm. How the heck was I supposed to lay in the water and do Pilates??!!! We got into "The Apprentice" mode. Limited time. Restricted access to civilization. And battling against the will of Mother Nature...high winds, flooded flats, and heat from the sun. We had to find a solution. I wasn't gonna fly to Utah to fail here.
Somehow we got our heads thinking and thought of a way to elevate me above the water. We got a piece of white board at a random hardware store (we had to drive into Nevada to locate this) and velcro'd my white yoga mat right on top. I am so fortunate there was even a hardware store at all! Ah the luck of determination. Then when we got back, somehow the water had dried out a little and we were left with a glacier-like scene.
Photography by David Kim Photography
It was beautiful. We shot everything I needed. I only got minorly wet, and the gloss of the water on the salt made the land look even more beautiful than when I last saw it. It was like this was supposed to happen. We finished as the sun was setting. Phew.
The next day we were on a journey to search for a Spring look. I needed wildflowers. We decided to scout Cecret Lake in Mt. Alta. From the pics, it was supposed to be flowery and green! I didn't realize how hard the hike was to see this lake...I climbed rocks with 2 yoga mats and a heavy bag. My friends were holding camera equipment, tripods, and lights. Let's just say my glutes and quads are on FIRE! And that was some SERIOUS cardio. It was interesting - as I climbed I actually had to keep telling myself, "Don't stop. Keep going! Almost there!"
When we got to the top, it was indeed lovely.
But cold. Really cold.
I painted my nails up there a nice minty green color for the Spring shoot. My friends took a pic of me and then we laughed. Who the heck brings nail polish on a nature hike in Utah!!??? Me. Procrastinator Cassey.Though the lake was gorgeous and we spent about 1.5 hours or more setting up, it just didn't work. It didn't scream Spring at all. Saddened, we all packed up and headed back down the mountain with no pictures. The boys didn't bring jackets (we are such Californians - who knew it gets cold in September!!??) and were freezing. No one could feel their noses, fingers, or toes by the time we got down. Never have I ever felt so happy to be sitting in a car. Warmth. So we sat in the car thinking, is this really another "Hardware Store Situation"??? Really? 2 days in a row on a 2 day trip?? We had lunch and I practically gave up. I thought, oh well, maybe we should just go back to Cali and test our luck there. I was hungry. We had a late lunch. The boys had pizza and I ate a salad. We all were silent, just scouting locations on our iPhones using the free wifi at Pie 5. Then Sam said let's just try one more guys. David suggested this place called Mt. Timpanogos. We drove there and met with a ranger to ask about the flowers. "Trying to find Spring in Fall?" she said. "Sorry. The leaves have already started turning. Wildflowers bloom in July and August." Disheartened but determined, we kept on driving. The sun was starting to set. I was ready to give up so that I wouldn't be so disappointed. But then... We found this.
The moment you're about to give up is the moment when miracles start to happen.
I honestly do not know how we found the last patch of wildflowers in Utah (or at least that's how it seemed) but it was like it was meant to be this way. I quickly rolled out my yoga mat and we shot the moves until the sum came down in less than an hour. Oh man. I cannot tell you how fortunate all 3 of us felt. It was truly amazing. We celebrated with a yummmmy dinner at a Nepalese restaurant downtown. It was the first time I had something other than a salad on the trip! I ate this coconut curry tofu dish with brown rice. It was the best.
Well, that was my Utah trip! I hope you enjoyed the photos from behind the scenes. And big thanks to David and Sam for battling Mother Nature with me this week! I wonder if you have guessed what this is all for yet? Ah, I think I should just tell you.
So...been keeping this from you but...POPsters, I am officially writing a book for all of you that will showcase my best POP Pilates routines and recipes for every season to keep fit and beautiful. Never have I ever spent so much time and energy into taking photos, but it's been so rewarding going on nature hikes and exploring the phenomenal hidden sights of National parks. I am not a big fan of hiking, but this trip has made be appreciate the beauty of nature so much more.
I've shot summer in Malibu and now the next stop is Boston for Fall Foliage. I can't wait to return back to where it all started. Excited to see my old students and visit my old apartment in the city.
And in case you haven't seen, there's a new workout up on the Blogilates YouTube Channel! I teamed up with Chriselle Lim of thechrisellefactor.com to bring you The ULTIMATE Fashion Blogger Workout.
Explaining what POP Pilates is...
Telling Dr. Oz that he needs to press his heels together for Butterfly Knees. This was so surreal. My mom, sister, and I are HUGE fans of Dr. Oz so this was kind of awesome!!??
My goodness! Look at that synchronization!I created a lovely printable for you to take along with you in case you're ever away from your phone or computer but still want to do the routine. Click the photo to enlarge and print! Hope you enjoyed that! I had such a blast. I want to sincerely and genuinely thank YOU from the bottom of my heart for making opportunities like this happen. Blogilates is nothing without you - so big hug and kiss from me. Let's keep making amazing things happen. Work hard guys and kill this week. You own it. <3 Cassey
Here's the recipe for the Natural Belly Slimming Detox Water:
(for one 24 oz serving)
- 3-5 slices of fresh cucumber - 1/2 small lemon sliced - 1/4 of orange sliced - a few fresh mint leaves - 24 oz of ice cold waterWhy does this work? *Cucumbers prevent water retention and also have many anti-inflammatory properties. *Lemon provides the cleansing effect of citric acid to help clear out the digestive syste *Oranges contain flavonoids in the peel and juice that stimulate the immune system and protects against a fungi/pests while helping to reduce cholesterol levels *Mint helps the body digest more easily and it also soothes any stomach cramps you may have. Keep in mind that the more you refill your jug, glass or bottle with the same fruits, the more diluted and less nutrient-dense the fruit becomes. So I would recommend that after 2 or 3 refills, dump it and replace with fresh cuts to make sure you get all the vitamins and minerals you need. I also wouldn't leave the fruits in there for more than 24 hrs before changing it. Because I am sooooo into detox waters right now, I knew that I had to create a bottle that would help make it easier for you to keep hydrated throughout the day. So that's how the Detox Water Bottle came to be! Each bottle comes with a translucent matching lid and an infusion "fruit cage" where your fruits and veggies will stay. The star shaped filter will help keep the fruit in place and it'll make it way easier to drink. There's 2 more recipes I want to share with you since I'm so obsessed...check it out:
Detox Water for Craving Control and Beautiful Skin (click to see recipe)
Anti-Aging and Anti-Bloat Detox Water (click to see recipe)
I hope you found these recipes helpful! All the Detox Bottles are available on www.shopblogilates.com!
Remember...if your urine looks like lemonade, you are DEHYDRATED. If it looks like lime juice, you're in the clear and doing well. Drinking more water IN GENERAL is better for you and will help flush the nasties out of your body the more you drink. You'll also feel lighter and your body will be able to perform at it's best potential when it's well-fed and it's thirst is quenched.
Let me know what recipes you want to see next on Cheap Clean Eats!! Thank you for your enthusiasm for this show. I'm so happy you like it :)

I wanna hear from you - what do you think?! Also, can't wait to see some of you at IDEA this week. Thurs, Fri, and Sat at the Anaheim Convention Center!! Come hang with me at the Blogilates booth #1244. Love you! Cassey
Even babies came, hogging them detox bottles! :P
Billy Blanks even stopped by to do a crazy pose with me :DSo before I show you what our booth looked like this year, I want to do a throwback to 2013. It was a 10 x 10 booth with one headless mannequin. This was my first booth ever!! And then here is the 2014 booth! I actually designed this booth (you wouldn't think that this is a job but it is...haha) and I made sure there was squishy wood flooring, bright lights in the background, a changing tent, and lots of pictures! Oh and matching hangers. And 2 mannequins with heads!! Such a must! This year we grew to a 20 x 10! We even had matching shirts and reusable Blogilates bags! So legit. So legit. Thank you to my Blogilates fam for pouring their heart and soul into this event. It really was exhausting for everyone, but we made it through! I was also asked to lead 2 talks there. It was an incredible honor to speak as an expert on social media and branding to other fitness professionals and bloggers. I love sharing my knowledge with people especially when they appreciate it and will apply it to their own lives. Much like when I give you a monthly workout plan and meal plan. I want you to use it and make some changes in your life for the better. I also did the talk about how to turn your blog into a business leading up to Jillian Michael's keynote. If I could sum it up in one sentence, it would be this: Stand behind what you believe in and serve people whole-heartedly with passion. Then came Friday night at the POP Pilates Party! OMG it was so much fun! Several hundred POPsters, trainers, and fitness professionals gathered together to do a 1 hr class with me. Let's just say everyone's butt was sore the day after. Oops. I also want to plan a Blogilates National Tour for 2015. Where should we go?! Please tell me where you're from and if there's enough interest in one location, I will be there!!! Oh and I also want to show you something cool. Look! It's me on a door!!! Hahaha. I've never seen myself like this before :P I also taught some classes in celebration of the launch of the POP Pilates Certification program! Woot woot! Which by the way...we finally have dates for! The dates and locations of the trainings are:
Please go sign up! I will personally be leading these sessions. You will learn how to not only be a fitness instructor, but a SUCCESSFUL fitness instructor. You will learn how to be confident in front of a crowd and how to rock your class's core. Trust me, it is THE MOST rewarding job I've ever had. Your job is to inspire!!
Plus, you get to make money while you work out. And most gyms will most likely give you a free gym membership too. I mean - obviously those are not the important things, but they are very nice perks :)
Ok well hopefully I will see you guys soon at one of these trainings! Or next year at the Blogilates National Tour! Please comment below and let me know where we should plan to visit!!
Photo by ShaneaThis image strikes me hard. As I little girl, I was chubby, I was made fun of (having my last name didn't help either), and I do remember turning my fingers into little scissors and wishing I could cut off my fat. Honestly, I didn't even know what fat was or that anything was "wrong" with me until the other kids told me so. Some days I was really terrified of going to school. I tried to distract it all by just studying harder. It wasn't until 7th grade when I started to get taller/skinnier and when I moved to a new school that the bullying stopped. This notion that "thinner is better" and that "fat is bad" gets ingrained in kids' head from an early age...whether it's subliminally from media or just hearing it from other family members complaining about their bodies. So it is HARD to accept your body when everyone tells you not to. Body dissatisfaction begins to take over your life and you become obsessed with changing it. And you know what? Some girls won't know how to. That's when the dangerous habits begin.
"Over 80 percent of 10-year-old girls are afraid of being fat. By middle school, 40-70 percent of girls are dissatisfied with two or more parts of their body, and body satisfaction hits rock bottom between the ages of 12 and 15." (NYC.gov)So how do I like my body now that I'm a fitness instructor? There are days when I love it and days when I hate it just like any other girl. Social media comments don't make it any easier, but seriously if you make stupid remarks and your profile is private and you have no followers, just stop it. I know that at the end of the day, I am more than just my physical appearance. Seriously. My body holds my talents, my dreams, and my drive. It doesn't define me. So don't let it define you either. Let's teach our little girls and little boys this. They don't need to know that anything is wrong with their body, because there isn't. They just need to know that they should smile, work hard, and reach for their wildest dreams, whatever it may be. The change starts with this generation, now. Love, Cassey PS: This post was DELETED off Instagram after I posted it in the morning. I am soooo infuriated that Instagram and the reporters of the photo thought it was child pornography! LIKE SERIOUSLY!?? Read the caption for once. We had such good, real, emotional conversation happening in the comments. And to think that all those so-called "fitness" accounts publishing nearly pornographic butt shots and underboob are not being reported? Unfair. That is why I am reposting this on my blog where no one can take down my post except for me. As I said on Instagram, I will not be silenced. PPS: Thank you to my friends Drew and Lynn Manning from fit2fat2fit.com for sparking this emotional conversation during lunch yesterday!
HOW TO BE A POP PILATES INSTRUCTOR1. Go to bit.ly/poppilatescert15 and pick the location nearest you. (There will be more trainings all over the US in the coming months!) I will be personally leading these POP Trainings along with a fellow POP Instructor named Sarah! It's going to be a super fun and intimate bonding and learning experience. 2. If you're Group X certified through another certifying body like AFAA or ACE, great. You can just pick the POP Pilates Powercert option. If you're not Group X certified (like you've never taught before), you will need to get the whole package to get fully certified through NAFC. Make sure you click this link to get an extra 15% off your training. 3. Once you're all set, you'll be able to log in to your NAFC account, see your POP Instructor's Manual, and watch the choreography videos. 4. Then we will go over everything in real life at the workshop and help you pass your test. This will be my first time teaching a workshop like this and it's going to be the first time anyone is getting certified in POP Pilates, so pretty much it's gonna be a big historical milestone in my life that I will never forget. I hope you can be a part of this with me and we can build our POP army together! :D

Love you so much and thank you forever and ever and ever. <3 Cassey

I am in love with this one because this is where you guys can plan local meetups! Join a group and make new friends. I love checking in and seeing you guys write in your language. So good. Are there any groups you don't see that I should add?

Here are some shots from the computer screen that show every photo the photographer takes on his camera instantly. You wouldn't believe it but there was like a crew of 20 people on set to make sure this one little me would have the perfect hair, makeup, lighting, wardrobe and whatever else it took to get that one cover shot.
I do want to tell you that the whole day was not stressful for me because I chose to mentally appreciate what was happening right then and there. I lived in the moment. I embraced how incredible, rare, and special this experience was. Who knows if this will ever happen again? So I cherished every moment and WORKED IT as best as I could. James was so wonderful in coaching me on how to model without smiling - which is very hard for me!! When I first tried "looking serious" I just looked like I had dead eyes. But we practiced and he told me to think fierce, to look with a purpose.
After working with him, I can see why he's an A-list photographer. He knows how to make his subject feel CONFIDENT and he knows how to help me bring my inner model out! He's definitely one of my favorite photographers.
Look familiar? Shooting for the cover! Really loved those shiny pants! They even had a matching shiny bra! My stylist Karen Shapiro wanted the cover to be very NEW YEAR so she chose metallics. Clearly, she knew what she was doing! She's also one of the sweetest, most caring women ever. She made me feel so comfortable.
The beauty squad! My manicurist Jenna Hipp, my makeup artist Mai Quynh, and my hair stylist Philip Carreon were so amazing! They work with the likes of Miley Cyrus and my fave Taylor Swift. So honored to be worked on by the same hands that touched Taylor!!! :)
So guys...I hope you enjoyed this BTS look at what it takes to get a cover shot. We spent from 8am to 6pm shooting with SEVERAL outfit changes. Had lunch in between and kept going. Then the next day I shot a bunch of videos with Health Magazine that you can find on their site!
I want to thank Health Magazine for putting me on the cover of their publication. Like I said above, we are breaking stereotypes with this photo and I couldn't be more pleased. The staff there is also a joy to work with! And finally, thank YOU for being with me along this whole journey. From shooting vids in my bedroom to a magazine cover, my one piece of advice for you is this: never stop believing in yourself and keep following your passion. It's going to work out just fine.
