I just woke up from a nice nap after being awake for nearly 24 hours filming your Hunger Games workout and then heading straight back to my computer  to finish up delivering and organizing your meal plans! You will see the regular and the vegan plan. If you have any questions about substitutions please tweet @WeightTraining and see what our registered dietitians can advise. But you can always look up alternatives that work for you and work for the plan based on the nutritionals that have been laid out for you. I just wanted to say that I am thankful for you. Thankful that together we have created the most awesome, kind, motivated, and strong community on the internet!   1. Hey I didn’t do the 12 week body makeover/meal plan thing when it was put on here. But I would reeaaalllyyyy like to do it now.. But I can’t figure out how to get the passwords. I watched the video for the first week and didn’t find it. I’m signed up with you and get all the newsletters and stuff. Is there any way you could send me the meal plan now? Or is it too late and I missed my chance?

(: I’m suppose to be cleaning house not trying to figure out all the passwords and catch up on the meal plans to start DietBet and be healthier in 2014. (: Thanks for all your time and effort in this. You are amazing. How do you ever have time for YOU!? It’s much appreciated!!

      - if you read correctly you find out at you don´t need to sign up for something like dietbet, and if you take a look on the meal plan sites you can see the passwords because POPsters help out each other
      - on the other way I think it is okay with the passwords because Cassey had a lot of work and the meal plans have an price of 99,- USD and we have them for free, so it should not be to much “work” to find out a little password once a week

    This query is for everyone in general.

    I really want to try this meal plan, because I don’t do well with trying to diet on my own. I do much better with someone simply telling me what to eat :-) But my dilemma is this: I do the cooking in my home, and while I’m trying to lose weight, my fiance is trying to GAIN weight. And he’s VERY picky, preferring bland and boring (i.e. non-seasoned meat and potatoes) over tasty and interesting. I could really use some advice on how to provide a meal for the two of us without having to wreck my kitchen every night making two completely different meals. Thoughts?

Ok, these meal plans are really great, but they are VERY low on carbs- I know that carbs should be very, very limited if you’re really trying to lose weight, but please everyone remember that this is a twelve week challenge, not the rest of your life! Cassey does have oatmeal on there, which is good. But don’t be afraid of a slice of whole grain bread. I did the 90-day challenge and ended up going into into ketosis from lack of carbohydrate. Just be careful! Everyone is different so listen to your body.

    Other than that, I love this website and the meal plan is very straight forward and doesn’t make me feel deprived! This works!

    • Carbs are actually not your enemy. I lost nearly 40 pounds in 2 months, doing Blogilates and eating clean … without having to go on a no-carb or low-carb diet.

    • Ketosis isn’t unhealthy. You’re confusing it with ketoacidosis which is — usually — limited to type I diabetics. And, yes, incredibly deleterious to the body and unhealthy.

      In fact, short term ketogenic cycling or a full-blown ketognic lifestyle (with fat intake increased inversely as to provide a fuel source for the body) is a very healthy state to be in, if it feels good to your individual personality / behavior.

      As a general rule of thumb — if you are going to do low carb you need to supplement with high fat and vice versa. The only time low carb is dangerous is if you aren’t getting adequate fat (since it can be broken down into a protein/carbohydrate source) and being that fat is biologically inert (doesn’t stimulate insulin) you won’t gain weight form dietary fat. After your fat requirements are met, ensure you are getting moderate protein as well.

      • Ketosis is what happens when the liver becomes completely depleted of glycogen. Glycogen is the broken down sugars that our brain uses. Actually the only chemical that keeps our brain going. However if we are starving, like really actually starving, then our bodies make the ketones. The ketones will keep our brains alive so that we can survive. This is how it was explained in my college nutrition class. For more a detailed explanation wikipedia has this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketosis .

        For me eating clean works for me. Listen to your body though, if you’re getting headaches or anything you need to look at your eating and maybe take a more gradual approach. Getting rid or all junk foods, sweets, and all soda (including diet soda) is a good first step and can get you ready for eating clean.

  5. I have a question on the meal plan… are the recipes provided for only one day?
    I’m trying to do the shopping list and I’m wondering if I should triple items used on the MWF/TTHS days… if that makes sense! :P

    • Yes triple for your list except the sunday items. The recipes are for one day. So monday wednesday and friday you are eating the same thing. Then on tuesday thursday and saturday you are eating the same thing.

And now I am all grown-up, all things have been changed quite a bit, because of you. I don’t get stuffed not unlike I did before after every meal.   9. wow super excited to start the new body makeover plan :)!!! just a few questions about the meal plan: on days we excercise a lot (like burn 700 kcal) should we include extra meals? because eating only ca 1500 kcal while burning almost half sounds a bit unhealthy? and are we supposed to only drink water? because I love my tea (with a bit of honey), I probably drink 6 cups of green tea a day :p… oh and are we allowed to have some YOLO meals? or none at all? X

    • Tea IS water. So drink up! :)

      • The best thing I’ve ever heard about water came from one of my best friends.. she asked her doctor about flavored water. Her doctor said to her “Would you wash your car with flavored water?”
        That’s all I needed to hear.

    • You are allowed to drink or eat anything you want. i guess the meal plan is nothing you need to stick to 100%. Green tea is totally healthy and if you eat a healty extra meal thats totally ok and theres nothing you should feel gulity about.

  13. I love the meal plan <3. Very tasty. 1.1 is my favourite! I'll be switching some things for other favourite clean meals from Tosca Reno's books (and Blogilates) for variety but will stay true to the Cals/Carb/Protein and Fat targets. I really love the option of 'making our own' calendars by following the guideline given. So happy to have found you Casey!!!!

  14. Hi, I was hoping for a shopping list along with the meal plan. I have the journal and got the link to the 12 week plan, but now I find myself making up shopping lists in a spreadsheet. Am I duplicating work here (aka I missed the shopping list somehow) or is there indeed, no shopping list, alas!

    Just a FYI, the link to the meatball recipe goes to the spaghetti squash recipe… the link to the pancake recipe goes to the 100 calorie banana muffin recipe….the link to the crepes and the cheeseburger recipe both go to the baked sweet potato fries recipe. On the up side the quinoa salad is the right link lol.

  26. Cassey! Thank you so much for the meal plan! It’s been an awesome way to start a conversation about healthy eating with my bf at home, and he’s supporting me 100 percent! (OK so he’s going to eat the dinner and the breakfast you planned but he doesn’t want to give up his cookies for the snacks LOL) But the important part is we talked about healthy eating, thought of substitutions that could work for me, and it was awesome! Feeling inspired, afraid of not eating as much bread as I usually do, and excited to try your recipes! :) Thank you for all the work you do, I know it must be so much stress having weekly deadlines for videos, calenders, meal plans, meal videos… I hope you find some time to relax and enjoy yourself! You have made a huge difference. I’ve already been working out using your pop hiits at the gym for months now, and I can see I’m getting stronger!

  30. Hey, im having a problem getting the meal plan. Every time I try to click on one of the lines, my internet shuts down. Does anyone else have this problem???? I really want to get the menu, I hope it works soon :(
