The 100 Burpee Burnout


If there is one thing you’re gonna do for exercise today – let it be this: I challenge you to 100 burpees. You’re thinking what!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Yeah, get over it because that’s what I thought too when the video idea came out. But I promise you can do it. Just set your mind to it and your body will listen. Everything will be ok. Ok in a I’M DYING I HATE U CASSEY kinda way but whatever right ;) You won’t regret it! This video was very hard for me. You’ll see that I am out of breath and dying too. YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE BURPEES so I decided to tackle the beast head on be like WHAT WHAT YOU WANT SOMMA DIS!!?? And guess what? The fight was brutal but I came out alive and stronger! And so will you!!!

    My big excuse was that I can’t do it, because I live in a flat and it would be too much banging for the neighbours BUT I managed to bag a free room at my gym so now I have no excuse.

    Damn it, my head wants me fit but my body hates me for it! :)

    I loved them! Especially got proud of myself when I asked my husband who is in the US Army: “Why you don’t like burpees?”, he said: “Well try to do those 20 non-stop”. It got me grinning and I said: “Well, yesterday I did 100 with different levels”. Haahaaa! Thanks, Cassey!
    Now I promised my husband, that after he comes back from his deployment, we will do this burpee vid together 3:)
    And guys usually think, that girls workouts are boloney. Ha!

      That is purely amazing! I extremely disliked burpees before I joined the Blogilates community. I didn’t like to do 15 of them. I did 100 yesterday, and I’m doing the video again today just because I can (and I are unhealthy today (it was worth it-fried zucchini and chocolate zucchini bread), so I need to burn the calories)! :D

    I think you are my serious blessing in disguise! I have three month before I move from my home in Australia to my new job in Istanbul, I kick started my healthy lifestyle three months ago and got slugish the last few weeks before I realised I needed reinspiration (that is SO not a word) and I knew I had to commit to blogilates once and for all, so i’m starting september from the 12th and two workouts down I’m going strong.
    I couldn’t thank you enough and can’t wait to tell you how I feel by the end of the month!!!

      Ok I did it woooooop!! Ok so I did have to walk a most of them in after the first 10 and I had to catch up as I’m a lot slower than you. Half way through I nearly gave up but soo glad I didn’t – I’m in a really good mood now even though I’m kind of dying lol. Thanks!! ’till next monday :) xx

    i have taken the challenge and won! i did this after completing the spring fling tone up vid and the heartbeat heaven vid too!!!
    needless to say as a severe asthmatic i am now full of inhaler and buzzing but i refuse to let it stop me from working out and feeling great.
    thanks to cassey and her inspirational workouts i have lost 1.5 stone and still going this is the first time in my adult life and since having five children that i have been below 10 stone so thank you cassey i love you <3 xxx

  • I just did this, and I want to die! But it’s such a good workout! I’m going to try to do at least half of the variations every day, preferably all of them, depending on how sore I get! Thank you for being so upbeat and making these bearable!

  • I accept this challenge! I usually do a home workout of 10 rounds of 10 burpees with 30 seconds rest in between. It is BRUTAL but you come out stronger from it!

  • Hey, Cassey! I didn’t get the chance to do it yet, but I’ve decided that I’m going to do it daily for 1 week, since I don’t have the time to do a full workout. But I think burpees are a perfect way for a total body workout and with this 10 different variations it will be fun too! An also, I would love a printable, to have on my phone and do it wherever!
