Shopping & YouTube Friends

Hello there! Tomorrow is my last day in LA! I can’t believe how quickly this week has gone by…

I started my day with a quick 3 mile run around the neighborhood and then hurriedly popped into the car to get to the showrooms for some serious shopping! Shopping for you guys that is!!! New Blogilates gear and motivational tops coming soon. I was able to purchase some veryyyyy cool things in this season’s best colors, patterns, and fabrics! Think neons, stripes, and more lightweight jersey cottons! Ahh you’ll love. I’m also testing out some fashion wear too! There will be a romper. Yes, a romper. Oh man!!!!!! Let summer begin!!! I got really excited when I saw it and was like “What the heck…some of you guys will appreciate this!” Hahaha. I hope my speculations are correct.

As soon as I finished playing buyer for the day, I had to rush over to Manhattan Beach to meet with some people who I’ve been wanting to meet for a long time…you may know them…especially if you’re YouTube fitness junkies…


Karena and Katrina from Tone It Up!

Every time we try to plan a meeting the other person is always traveling somewhere else, but finally today, the forces united! We met at a coffee shop and had green tea with yummy muffins. Afterwards, we stopped by the TIU office where everything was so bright and totally beachy! A fab work environment. I got a sneak peek at their new DVD and some great mentoring advice from Katrina.

The girls gave me a TIU sweater which I wore right away because I was freezing! It was very nice to have wrapped around me as I walked back to my car to head to dinner.

And guess what I had for dinner?

That’s right. Vegan. Again!!!!

I don’t know why but whenever I get a chance to eat out, all I want is vegan stuff! I feel like its a delicacy! Being able to appreciate and taste veggies, nuts, and grains in a different way. I love it. And I’m willing to pay for something I don’t know how to make. (yet)


Sweet potato fries always get me weak but I just had a few pieces to satisfy my craving. This is the portobello mushroom burger.

So that was my day! It was back to back to back BAM BAM BAM! Tomorrow I’m sending the new Blogilates gear up north and then meeting with ExoticJess on YouTube!!!! I’m so excited! Then yet another meeting after that…and finally off on a red eye to NYC!! At which point I will get off my flight at 6am and meet with Bex at 10am. OMG I think I’m gonna spaz out from all this.

    Cassey, I have a group ex question for you that I am posting in the hopes that you (and maybe some other instructors who are reading) can weigh in on. I’m teaching a few new-to-me formats (more boot camp-y/strength training in nature, with weights & cardio intervals) and one thing I’m trying to perfect is the cueing for this style of class. I want to keep the class moving the entire time, not stopping between exercises, but as a trainer, I’m wondering if I’m giving too many cues before they get started with each interval. I know you teach a boot camp class – how do you keep it flowing & participants moving non-stop while making sure their form is good and they understand what they’re supposed to be doing?

    I’m working through the kinks, but would love any tips you could give!
